One for Ed001 if he's around, I recall a thread the other week regarding the best coaches/ managers in the world at the moment and your comments on Guardiola. Just wondering what your thoughts were on Tito Vilanova, before his sad death. Whether he could do better than Pep, or whether he was a disciple of his methods and would continue in the same vein? Thanks!

AR1992

{Ed001's Note - he had his own style, very similar to Pep's but didn't seem quite as complicated. Hard to tell, as man management is a massive part of a manager's success, but I think he would have been successful in his own right.}

Question for Ed001, curious to know who you'd like to see come in as assistant manager and first team coach? Thanks!

AR1992

{Ed001's Note - I actually like the idea of Bolo Zenden. I also would really like to see Roy Evans brought back to the club to help with coaching and give us the benefit of his experience. Personally I think we actually need a few more coaches involved, similar to the way Sheringham came in at West Ham early in the season. I would like to see us bring in someone like George Graham to coach defensive play. Maybe Glenn Hoddle to help with the technical aspects. People like that on short term contracts to work with players in small groups or as individuals to really improve the coaching we give.}

Is there a chance of Roy Evans coming back in? I think we played great attacking football under him and also his experience of coaching successful teams could be really useful especially with so many young players in the team.

{Ed001's Note - not as a coach, no.}

2.) 13 Jun 2015 01:37:42
Eds thanks for sharing your opinion and knowledge.
Ed001 may I know why Bolo Zenden is a better option ?

Thanks

{Ed001's Note - better option than who? I never said he was a better option than anyone.}

3.) 13 Jun 2015 01:57:04
Any chance of Roy coming aboard?

Like the idea of hoddle aswel ed

{Ed001's Note - highly unlikely, he had not been asked during the week anyway.}

4.) 13 Jun 2015 06:28:27
Ooh. Good call on George Graham. That hadn't occurred to me at all. He'd make a difference.

The issue would still be with Captain Colgate. He wouldn't agree and would insist on the back 3 system that even Graham can't coach.

{Ed001's Note - for anyone who doesn't agree with the idea of George Graham, I would suggest seeing if they could find videos of him giving his tactical talks on Sky Sports in its early days. It was not the most exciting TV, but it showed just how well he understood how to defend as a unit and what positions players should take up.}

Sorry Ed001 didn't put it in a proper way.Ed001 can u give any insights about the work done by Bolo Zenden as assistant manager?

Thanks

{Ed001's Note - he was at Chelsea and now at PSV as an assistant, but that is not why I would go for him. It is due to my personal opinion of him, he has a good personality for being an assistant manager. He is strong enough to take no messing but also very likeable and friendly, so he can be a great buffer between players and manager, which is what the assistant should be. Also Zenden is an intelligent fella, which is unusual for a footballer, but something you need in management. His Judo skills might come in handy too.....}

Hello eds. your thoughts on graham being a defensive coach.
Is he currently coaching/managing in football?
Is his defensive organisation well known in footballing circles and is it a realistic possibility of him coming if he is available.

{Ed001's Note - it is not going to happen.}

7.) 13 Jun 2015 09:56:30
What about someone who worked in Graham's system?
I know he's a former Bluenose but what about Keown?
Hard as nails, passionate about the game, hates Man Utd and would likely stand up to the manager?

{Ed001's Note - but he is not a particularly outstanding coach, not particularly intelligent, not inspirational, he is just an ex-defender, which means nothing. He has been working part time with Arsenal coaching for nearly ten years now, yet never gone anywhere. That should be time to stand out as a coach.}

If Ed001's around at the moment, what's your thoughts on Soldado as you spoke highly of him before his move to Spurs?

Thanks!

AR1992

{Ed001's Note - he joined the wrong side, they have never played a game suited to him and he has suffered badly as a result. It is clear to see that his confidence was destroyed by what happened and he will need that restored to be anything like the player he was. Maybe next season's Spurs will be the right team for him, depends on who takes charge. He needs someone with man management skills to get him back on track, something Sherwood has absolutely none of.}

If Ed001's around today, I'll re-post my question from yesterday; what's the problem with Soldado at Spurs? I remember you speaking well of him whilst he was in La Liga? Also, sorry to be a pain but how'd you find the game yesterday as well?

Thanks!

AR1992

{Ed007's Note - Ed001 isn't available mate, sorry. He left the country yesterday to move to Dubai and I don't know when he will be back online. All the posts for him are sitting waiting and either him or Ed002 will answer them asap.}

A question for Ed001, before you used talk well of Soldado and obviously he played well at Valencia, what is the problem at Spurs? Is the the league, or is it the management or something completely different?

AR1992

{Ed002's Note - Ed001 is not around for a while - ask again when you see him.}

Interested to what you mean by "Tranny" Hailstones? I can't really take any criticism of a player if you're going for a pretty transphobic insult.

In terms of what you're saying about Fabinho / Robertson, the difference for them is that they were injury free for a sustained period so they could be integrated into the team, while for whatever reason Keita was picking up niggly injuries.

Sure I get he has been disappointing, but to call him a "Tranny" is pretty childish and insulting to be honest.

Let's hope Boris and co. get involved then and pledge £350 million a week, am I right?

On the serious side, I still can't believe that people don't see the benefits to voting.

I agree with Waro, but to pin it on the people who "enjoy the bank of mum and dad" is a bit wrong, as 75% of 18-25 year olds voted to remain. To make light of a day where potentially the whole of the UK is going to be crucified by the EU when making terms is worrying for all our futures.

Seemed similar to how he celebrated after scoring against Villareal? Or quite a few other times actually, thinking about it.

Be voting in as I don't really want the Human Rights Bill scrapped eventually. As well as working with the EU to work towards a better future than being left behind. To say we were fine before we joined, that was 1975 so obviously things would be different to the present day, it's a bit short-sighted for that to be a reason. Oh and the possibility of Boris Johnson to be PM with Michael Gove as his right-hand man, sends chills down my spine.

In the context of insulting I've never seen such a contradicting post. Waro's allowed to bad mouth other people, but as soon as Ed002 directs something towards him (not particularly an insult also), he throws the toys out the pram.
