Eds01 or 02 Could it be possible that Emre Can is waiting to see how he does in the World Cup. As this could increase his options and wages. As come on Germany always get to ever quarter finals. And if this is the case this world cup, may give better options for him.
{Ed001's Note - perfectly possible. He is keeping his options open at the moment, I have no way of knowing why, but the World Cup is certainly as good a reason as any. One good performance there can raise a player's value massively. Of course there is also the possibility that he is waiting until English clubs can get involved in contract offers too....}

I doubt he will get much if any game time at the world cup, but time will tell.

I was thinking this the other day Ed1, there was a fair bit of noise about City being interested earlier in the year and I could see Can as a long term replacement for Fernandinho although not the same player coached over time by Pep im sure he could mould him.

Klopp is a great coach himself and Can has not improved one iota under him and is almost in his mid-twenties, I honestly just don't think he is that great.

Can has improved. Just not enough. Too many wayward passes, and too slow in releasing the pass. That's why we're looking for midfielders.
City are welcome to him.
But Can is also welcome to wait and get the best offer for himself. Fair's fair.

Thats not why we are looking for midfielders, we are looking for a midfielder because Can is leaving if he was staying and Milner stays we wouldn't buy another mid esp with Keita coming in and Ojo/ Grujic coming back.

Kroos, goretzka, khedira, ozil, gundogan, rudy and weigl to name a few. I doubt he's getting that much time.

Dont get the negativity towards Can he still gives his best every game hasn't crapped on the club or used the media to leave has 20 caps to date so IS a full german international and has improved for LFC. Given time he will only get better whether that is here or elsewhere he will push on and be a top midfielder for years to come.

Can has improved dramatically over the past few months and I really think klopp can continue with that progress and transform him into a very very good player. It's frustrating to see a player muck around with contracts and have the nerve to sit there waiting to see what offers come his way. i no it happens but it's my club and I hate to see it. Will he leave if we win the champions league? Does my head in.

I think Emre Can will leave and become an even better player if the club he chooses to go to suits his style of play a little more, don’t get me wrong I don’t think he’s bad at Liverpool at all but I’ve just got a funny feeling he will flourish at a fast rate in a slightly different system which would be a kick in the teeth lol.

JC he’s a decent player but if you want to win everything then he's a squad player. I'd love him to stay but I see him as a squad player moving forward.

For me Emre Can is the best midfielder we have on the books currently. You need players like emre can who can get physical and have character if you are to win anything. He gives his all despite for liverpool. He is still 24 and will only get better.
Whoever signs him will have a gem of a player. I hope and pray he chooses us after the WC.
maybe we win the CL and he will before the WC :) Here's to hoping
next season Can Keita AoC for the midfield. that will be one strong physical and mobile midfield. where every mid is different and brings extra to the team.
