Hi Ed002, can you tell us whether there is any shred of truth behind the rumours of grosskreutz moving to lfc?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Grosskreutz has previously said that he wants one day to play in England and once noted, to the annoyance of Jurgen Klopp, that his dream was to play for Arsenal. Then a couple of years ago, to the annoyance of Jurgen Klopp, he told the press that it was his dream to play for Liverpool. Dortmund were open to a summer move as his contract was running down and he was injured for much of last season. He completed a move to Galatasaray in the summer which was not endorsed by UEFA as the paperwork was not completed in time. He is eligible to start playing for them (or anyone else) from January. He will leave if a suitable offer is made to Galatasaray and the player - right now Galatasaray said on December 4 that they know he wishes to leave but they have had no approaches. I have not heard anything since then.}

Nobody is as bad as milner has been for us. His performance vs newcastle were his worst by far this season.

Don't know him that we'll but he can play wing or cover for RMB, two positions we lack decent cover in.

He is a similar sort of player to Milner in that he is a wide player, who is a grafter without any real marked traits. Milner can at least cross.

Exactly, absolutely no need for him.

Funny isn't it when Brendan is there we buy to micj crap and don't use the academy but when its klopp and your throw in the old club as Dortmund then any player is acceptable for us.

Cheers Ed, that's very interesting.

He sounds like a real utility player, having played all over the pitch for Dortmund.

At least Jurgen won't be accused of playing him out of position ;-)

Sounds like a big fat no then Ed lol and more fabrication across most sites.

{Ed002's Note - He is certainly available. As to what he would add, I don't know.}

Edds do you think he would improve our 11 if he were to sign?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

{Ed002's Note - You're welcome.}

Ed002

Have we made any contact with BD as of yet asking about Subotic? Is January realistic?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but Dortmund will be willing to let Neven Subotic, who has been of interest to Spartak Moscow and Arsenal, leave in January. I suspect the interest of Arsenal has moved on but I would not rule out an offer being made by either Hannover or Liverpool.}

09 Dec 2015 20:55:12
I have a couple of mates who go to all Dortmunds matches. Their opinion is that Subotic is slow (one of the reasons they weren't unhappy when he left) and probably would struggle in EPL.
Eds - do you have an opinion on this?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - He hasn't left.}

10 Dec 2015 22:00:54
So do you think it would be a good move for Liverpool to sign Subotic?

Are there any updates on naming rights for new main stand.

The Daniel sturridge stand as its only time were going to get him at Anfield at this rate.

Hahaha good one Paulo.

He might get injured standing then?

09 Dec 2015 16:52:26
Surely something with regards the 96 has to be incorporated into it?

10 Dec 2015 04:02:33
Daniel sturridge stand would not even last with just a person on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:15:01
In my opinion, respectfully, I don't see the necessity of incorporating the 96 into the stand name. There is already a hillsborough memorial and a "96" with eternal flames on our kit - and we hold a hillsborough memorial service every year - I believe our remembrance and respect for those who lost their lives in the tragedy is sufficient. If the club wishes to do more, in terms of funding for support groups or funding for any further legal challenges in future then they have my full support - I personally don't see it necessary to incorporate a hillsborough reference into the name of a new stand.

I hope nobody takes this the wrong way - it is a difficult subject and I have tried to explain my position in as respectful way as possible. If anybody does take offence then I offer my apologies in advance.

I struggle to see much chance of the naming rights not being sold - maybe the Standard Charter stand?

It doesn't have to be 'surely', that makes people who object to it- like myself- seem like insensitive cretins.

We don't need to reference Hillsborough in every single thing. It presents an image of a club that refuses to move on.
