Ed002 i see the fat kid from bolton has pretty much got everything wrong for the last few months. its laughable. He now deletes all tweets that he gets wrong. leaving the last transfer post at months if Not years ago. People only look at his twitter for a laugh nowadays
U called it as it was.

{Ed002's Note - As long as they don't start betting on what he says - that would eb terrible.}

Who the fat kid from Bolton that kfc bloke?

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 19:32:37
Simple rule: If The Fat Kid has an exclusive Liverpool transfer to report, we are definitely not signing that player.

Especially if the exclusive comes via the 'mysterious' Hanz.

Who is the fat kid from Bolton?

The fat kid from Bolton is TheFirmBL on Twitter. He’s a BS merchant of the worst kind. He wouldn’t know reality if it punched him in the face.

The Fat Kid From Bolton appears to have a little fan club on here. It seems like people read his tweets just so they can report them back on this site. I have a solution, just don’t read them, if I cared about what he said I would follow him myself.

Who? He's a nobody, just ignore him. Any old fool can sit behind their pc pretending they know what they're talking about, this fella doesn't, never did and never will.

He's saying we've submit a bid for Sarr now.

So yeah, I think we can rule him out of signing based on The Fat Kid's recent record.

Deal for Tsimikas is at 11.75 million pounds plus add ons and a 20% resale clause. Reporters in Greece say that Olympiakos decided to do business with Liverpool, despite better offers from elsewhere, because if Tsimikas does well it will help future sales.

09 Aug 2020 19:21:32
Looks like a carbon copy of Robertson; very fast, takes on and wins one-on-ones, can cross accurately, and also can't finish to save his life, LOL! I'm quite happy with the deal because the biggest hole in the squad has been filled. I just wish it had been Lewis though because of the home grown issue and the fact he is 2 years younger. If and when the home grown requirements increase from 8 players to 12, there will be a lot of teams scrambling. But good deal nevertheless.

09 Aug 2020 20:06:10
Nice reinvestment if the lovren money. It is what it is and its not like anyone can really question klopp after how he helped robbos development. has me thinking, would robbo be the player he is without klopps input? Who is a better manager at developing talent? . I'll wait.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2020 18:14:40
because he is drunk? LoL, robertson signed a new deal and 50 million won't get you his right foot. considering i can't think of a better LB in world football atm. When Cancelo cost 55 million £, 50 million for Robertson would be quite the joke!

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2020 18:40:42
Can Tsimikas play any other positions? It seems such a waste of talent to have to only play when Robbo needs a rest of can't play. Still, it's a very nice problem to have.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2020 19:54:42
When he was at Loan in Holland he played LM quite a lot and got 6 goals that season, i can see him used a lot to close out the left side in tight games f. eks. He will get plenty of game time.

Paul Joyce, Melissa Reddy and James Pearce all reporting that Tsimikas is close to joining Liverpool, Melissa Reddy claiming a medical early next week. Looks a done deal, fee around £11.7million, Greek press has been reporting for a while now. Looks like a shrewd bit of business.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not first choice and not Home Grown doesn't make it sound too shrewd.}

09 Aug 2020 15:32:27
I don’t think anyone lfc sign this summer will be first choice now CV has effected financials.

Agree5 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 15:34:21
Hi Ed002: With Kostas coming, does it mean LFC will be looking at youth as cover for CB due to the homegrown ruling?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No the club will still look to sell players to buy.}

Ed is Robbo classed as HG?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

09 Aug 2020 15:57:50
May not be first choice but arguably the better player. Only concern would be that of the Home grown issue, perhaps this will be addressed later in the window. Considering Jamal Lewis was too expensive the second best option for £11mil isn't a bad deal at all and might be described as shrewd if all works out. No need to overpay when the club is in financial difficulty. Perhaps Liverpool could be tempted to try and sign Ben White if the price is lowered?

Agree4 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 15:50:29
ed002 if he does sign where does that put us with HG quota.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are going to have to sell Grujic and one or two others - but it depends who they wish to add. Bayern Munich re-terated that Liverpool has not spoken to them about Thiago yet, the club are supposedly trying to add non HG CBs ...}

09 Aug 2020 15:48:50
I seen a 22 mil bod rejected for been white does that mean he is now to expensive to sign for LFC if interest was there with the home grown rule.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 16:04:37
Ed, which non HG CB's would they be? Is Carlos dead in the water?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Like the Algerian who would be off to AFCON.}

09 Aug 2020 16:21:42
Kostas is the better player currently, I think that’s clearly o see for everyone, but important to note what purpose we are buying players for. He will play back up to Robbo when he’s good enough to be first choice for other top clubs. Jamal would be the more ideal Second choice left back, he’s younger and home grown so there were pros and cons to both signings but we are getting the better player, just not the one that helps us in other areas. I really do hope we get one or two British players In, Ben white would be first on my list at the moment, but I just can’t see us shelling out the amount being asked for as £22mill just got rejected for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 16:10:33
May I ask who these Non HG CB's are Ed002?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The ones who have been discussed in recent weeks like Aissa Mandi and Kabak.}

09 Aug 2020 17:02:45
When Robertson was signed he was not first choice team player, but he fought for it and now he is first choice.
If it is true good deal.

Agree5 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 17:48:59
As Ed loves to remind us Salah wasn’t first choice and that didn’t turn out too bad did it 🏆🏆🏆.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Neither was Alisson - so I guess maybe Klopp should not have any input to the decision making process for players.}

09 Aug 2020 17:52:43
Salah wasnt 1st choice - just saying.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is right - Klopp is not the one to be making transfer decisions.}

09 Aug 2020 18:07:16
ED 002 do you know how many non home grown players we currently have registered?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Someone has answered this for you.}

09 Aug 2020 18:16:47
Out of interest, who was the first choice instead of Alisson?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Oblak.}

09 Aug 2020 18:18:22
Ed the fact we’ve not spoken to Bayern regarding Thiago but have spoken to his representative as you’ve explained means we are clearly interested. Could our contact to Bayern be hinging on what happens with Gini or not related?

It’s just Ed001 has advised he doubts Thiago arrives if Gini stays.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I haven't said Liverpool are not interest. The club never spoke to RBL about Werner. As I have explained, Liverpool need to raise money through sales in order to fund purchases.}

09 Aug 2020 19:37:27
Jurgen and the boys will sort it out, the likes of Karius, Shaquiri and Origi could all follow Dejan out of the club, while no one knows what's going to happen with Gini. With the likes of William's, Trent, Gomez, Jones, Hendo, Ox, Elliott, Kelleher and Brewster coming through quickly with more like Jana Hoever to follow we should be alright eight homegrown quotas over the next few years.

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 19:38:55
According to the this is Anfield site we have 16 non HG players at the moment with Karius and Grujic back. If Tsimikas signs that's 17 and our limit but we'll be fine, I see at least 2 or 3 or even more of the non HG lads moving on over the summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 19:36:49
Was karius a klopp pick ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

09 Aug 2020 20:47:16
Karius will leave im sure. Grujic and Shaqiri will also likely depart if we get the right offer. So I'd imagine we will have a few spots available if we wish to register 2 or 3 new faces. We only named 15 non HG for 2nd half of last season including Lovren who now frees up a space so it's not like our squad is in need of re structure when karius, grujic unlikely to remain and Shaqiri along with possibly another may depart. Trent now qualifies as one of the necessary HG players as does kelliher if he doesn't go on loan. Nat Philip's also fills a space if he is retained. So Trent and Philips replace lallana and clyne while kostas replaces lovren. Harry Wilson, grujic, shaqiri karius transfers may be what the club will want to sort out before we commit to going ahead with the major 1 or 2 players being linked as the money we spend is likely to be similar to what we receive for outgoings and with the squad spaces then leaving us clear on who we can bring in. Let's be patient and wait for activity when the time is right.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2020 03:02:04
Liverpool currently have 3 empty slots for non-HG players. I don't know why people seem to think there is an issue here.
Any further sales only add to the slots.
Last season only 15 of the 17 slots were filled, until Minamino joined. Since then Lovren and Chirivella have left.
If anyone needs to be HG, it is the third keeper.

Ed's it does seem we have bid for Tsimikas now as reported everywhere. Anything your end ok this please to confirm? Better option than Lewis?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Tsimikas' agent has said that Olympiakos has set a price and that there has been a discussion with Leicester and Liverpool now. It seems odd buying non Home Grown players as padding but it may be a strictly financial matter given the funds may not have been available to add the preferred option of Lewis. There was a prior discussion with with Galatasaray as Yuto Nagatomo is due to be replaced in the summer. Third pick for Napoli as a Faouzi Ghoulam. Fenerbahce are short a LB and have Hasan Ali Kaldirim out of contract in the summer. Locomotiv Moscow have Maciej Rybus heading for the door this summer and have seemingly given up hope on Mikhail Lysov and have been in contact with Olympiacos over a deal for the summer. Sheffield United and Nice have looked and declared an interest but none of these clubs have taken it any further.}

09 Aug 2020 15:43:01
Thanks Ed, appreciate your feedback mate. Can I sit ask on the figures reported, not asking for exacts but it seems we will have to pay more for him than we bid for Lewis, if Lewis was first choice and HG then why wouldn’t we just bid more for Lewis?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea.}

09 Aug 2020 16:56:07
With all the talk of HG players we are short of does that mean we are or never were in for Thiago?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is unrelated to Thiago. Clearly Klopp has been been on Thiago but he knows he has to sell to cover the cost. Liverpool have not to date spoken with Bayern Munich whereas other clubs have. The club, or at least some at the club do not want Thiago because of his age, the lack of a return on a sale and his injury history. But I think they will let Klopp have him if he sells to raise the funds.

Thiago Alcantara (CM) was expected to extend at Bayern Munich but looking at options - Juventus may be interested still as the chances of Tonali are drifting away, and Manchester United might see him as an option but that is less likely. LIverpool have not approached Bayern Munich and has no agreement regardless of what the Fat Kid From Bolton and his invisible friend says. Bayern Munich expected Thiago to extend at Bayern Munich but they do not want to pay more than the €12M a year he is currently on. Bayern Munich have said that they have not been approached by any other side since an enquiry from Juventus and have explicitly stated that Liverpool have not approached them - although his agent has confirmed that he has spoken with PSG and they will now approach Bayern Munich and not worry so much about the age, as they are convinced their first choice player will move to Real Madrid next summer. Manchester City have been approached and may see him as an option for a couple of years given the asking price of Saul and Fabian Ruiz who will stay where he is. However, BM have hedged their bets about replacing the 29 year old with the younger Saul Niguez or Fabian Ruiz - who would cost less in terms of wages and have a resale value, but will come with a hefty purchase price which will give a problem to Bayern Munich this summer - and Ruiz is now looking to stay in Rome. They accept Thiago wants a new challenge now. Again, I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Bayern Munich just yet but Bayern would not stand in his way if Liverpool were to offer up around €35M, and of course €250k a week or more in wages for a player - who is 29 with little or no resale value. It would be a big commitment for any club from a financial perspective and I am not so sure that it meets the Liverpool model for transfers - but if Klopp really thinks he can make a difference and somehow there is value for money, then it may be possible. Bayern knew they needed to look to addressing this situation at some point, but rather it is not this summer.

But if Liverpool want him then it has to be done in the correct manner and soon.}

09 Aug 2020 20:50:59
Soon before he possibly go’s elsewhere then Ed as there are a few interested clubs including PSG as you have said. I really hope we get him 🤞.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 21:04:50
Fair play Ed02 for that evaluation regarding thiago, covered everything that the affects his transfer. One question I have though if you think it may apply, . Would the fact that bayern are currently fully focused on the CL for next week or so and thiago being a crucial player for them is it possible that that we are simply waiting until after to speak with bayern if we have full belief that the player is keen to come to us. It wouldn't suit the player or club to finalise transfer deal with major games still to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, that is not how Liverpool do business.}

09 Aug 2020 13:21:27
Second bid from Liverpool for Tsimikas. 16 million euro plus 4 million in add-ons. Looks like this one is acceptable by Olympiakos, media in Greece report.

Our scattergun bid tactic seems designed to tap up without tapping up. Difficult times require clever strategies, which in turn create smoke and mirrors so that our moves are not predictable . Look at how chelsea are buying up our pre corona targets. This way no one really knows what our true intentions are.

Moreno started playing out his skin, so it would have been hard to replace him att, for someone new to the system.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 21:26:31
For 11 or 12 million it's good business for a player who is apparently very driven and trains hard in the mould of a player that klopp always improves drastically. He's 24 and solves the LB slot we wanted to strenghten while his style is ideal for our full back play. At the same fee that we got for lovren, a 31 year old 4th choice with a year left on his contract it's great business imo.

People should not focus on the fact that Lewis is only 2 years younger and HG as more important than the actual quality that we want to see from a player give us on the pitch. Lewis showed me nothing in his performances to justify 20mil simply because he's HG and slightly younger.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2020 23:11:34
It has been reported in Greece that Liverpoool made an offer for Tsimikas but it was considered a low one by Olympiakos and it has been rejected. There is also interest in the player by Chelsea and Leicester and Olympiakos is expecting proposals. It is considered fairly certain by the Greek media that Tsimikas will be in Premier League next season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed0666's Note - he’s a good player that Greek lad. I agree I don’t think he’ll come cheap wherever he goes.

09 Aug 2020 07:55:12
Ed0666 Looks like he convinced a lot of people with his performances against Arsenal, Wolves and Traore particularly. I agree that he is too good to be behind Robbo and he should go to a team that will guarrantee him enough game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2020 19:36:47
Maybe the bloke has enough confidence in himself to think he'll play ahead of Robbo. Some players still do actually think they can be the best in their position.
