whats happening re.anfield/new stadia?anyone got genuine inside track? and what about its about its capacity?

We are deffo having a new stadium with a sponsorship deal that will more or less pay for it over 15 years, bring it on

I don't get why we've been talking about a 60k capacity. We should be aiming for a least 75k to compete with the mancs

Coxy82

Unless ticket prices r lowered then there is no point in having a 75k stadium as we wont be able to fill it.
We should look at what Bayern Munich done big stadium lower ticket prices and its full each week.

Ive been told the new stanley park build will be 67,564 capacity and will be built for 2016

On the subject of filling the new stadium if liverpool make it easier to buy a ticket that will help, as it stands you have to be a mason to qualify for one, also we need to copy what the mancs do and make sure every supporters club gets the tickets it needs every game then we really will move in the right direction as a club, bob paisleys skids

As far as aiming for a stadium holding around 75k is concerned although we would all love it, due to current rules and regulations the maximun we can have is around 68k because of the transport links. Once we have that sorted with a new rail link opened the world is our oyster. Realisticly I think we should be aiming for around 90k with tickets priced to sell, ie, around £25-£30. Either way we need to be selling out every week although the owners already know that and had some great offers last year, like in europa league kids got in for £5. The owners have there head screwed on and will do what is best for the club. Although imagine the atmosphere in a 90k stadium!

Although I agree about the price of tickets and also about the owners having their head screwed on there is no way we could fill 90k a week even Barcelona could not fill that.
Maybe for the big games but not everyone.

2016 for a new stadium? 5 years?? I think it'll be a bit quicker than that!!

Emirates Stadium
start date: February 2004
completion date: July 2006

I think we can expect a similar construction time.

I do not believe fsg will invest a significant amount of capital for an increase of only 15000 capacity i would say a new stadium if built will be in excess of 70000

Construction time can be expected to be similar but design, planning, building regs, DDA, structural calcs, etc, etc can also take up to a couple of years.

Were looking at 2016 at the earliest.

liverpool are reportedly interested in Torino's Angelo Ogbonna. Any truth in this eds? {Ed002's Note - Not sure about this one. I remember him driving his Smart car in to a river a couple of years ago.}

If he did that he should be used to disasters....Thank you Charlie Comolli where do i sign.

No offence to any one but IF I was a footie player and had a smart car I would drive it into a river

Liverpool will go head to head with arsenal in January for defender, not known yet who it is but early rumours is that it will be either Jagielka from Everton or Gary Cahill from Bolton {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have already met with Bolton over Cahill and I expect Manchester United may also show an interest in him.}

I dont think Everton will sell to us or it will be overpriced

After last night let them have cahill

My god father is Joe Harts agent and I can give the ed's his name to prove how legit this is just dont want to post it. He is also Martin Kellys agent, anyway I was with him last night and he said he has heard rumbles through Joe and his contacts at Liverpool that we are seriously considering making an earlier approach for Tevez, so as to get a head of the cometetion. He reckons a bid of about 20 million plus clauses and a sell on % would be enough. Only problem would be how well Liverpool are doing by January. Hope this gets a mention.
Carragher23

Bollo-- !

So just to clarify Liverpool are after signing a player who wants to leave england, who refuses to play football, who is paid astronomical wages and we are going to shell out 20million + clauses for the priveledge? Not a chance.

SMc

Ha ha ha this is priceless. Keep them coming my sides hurt from laughing.

City would definitely accept this deal. Only we would be foolish to even try it.

But just think about it, Suarez and Tevez up front. It's would be an amazing pairing!

Would rather have Traore up front.

Rafa's Purple Goatie

There is more of a chance of heskey
coming back than tevez joining.

No doubt Tevez is class, but he has caused issues at every club he has played at, plus he wants out of the UK - Why would we waste the money?

Maybe a loan?

Jamie Carragher has told Kenny Dalglish that Gary Cahill is the ideal candidate to replace him when he finally calls it a day. It is possible that a cut price bid for Cahill will be made in January. Carragher has been told he will be used more sparingly next season to help prolong his career.

Mika {Ed002's Note - It is possible a bid will be made but I would suggest that a "cut price" deal is unlikely. I suspect serious interest from Chelsea and Manchester United amongst others. Certainly Chelsea have already had discussions with Bolton over the player.}

I think Coates is a better player to take over from Carra. Is that not the reason we bought him?

Can't we use him more sparingly this season ?

Cahill ? gary cahill. jamie carragher is not stupid and either is kenny

Irish Red

Why would kenny need telling by carra?? surely kenny would know this?

Ed i have seen some reports saying that the price quoted for lucas(sao paolo) last yera was 80m but now they are willing to accept 20m in january. Do you know if this is correct? {Ed002's Note - It is rather more complex than that. I very much doubt that he will be moving this January and if he does it will likely be to Portugal or Italy, possibly with third party ownership. He will not be moving to Liverpool.}
