ED02 how are you doing and once again I would like to thank you for all the hard work . Just a quick do you think we will go for Ricardo Pereira this summer?

Thanks again ED02.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - He is young and can play on either side and full back so it makes a lot of sense. He has been doing well at Nice, Porto are happy to sell and Liverpool have been watching him.

08 Mar 2017 15:50:25
He isright footed and his natural Postion is Right Back we shouldn't be looking to sign him unless clyne goes. We should be looking for a natural left footed left back. can't stand this idea of playing players out of their natural postion.

Lahm is one of the best full backs of all time and played maybe games as a LB even though he was right footed.

Thanks ED02 let's hope we pick him up this summer .

Thanks again and have a wonderful day .

Many not maybe sorry!

Milner RB maybe Klopp likes a right foot lb.

Agree2 Disagree3

08 Mar 2017 17:08:48
Yes Bobby lahm has played left back but he is a right back he had his best performances at right back, he is known as right back. Milner has played well at left back this season it does not make him a suitable choice to have at left back week in week out.

Agree4 Disagree7

08 Mar 2017 17:45:06
Lahm played most of early football at Lb for club and country and made his name in that position as a right footed left back, it was only later in his career he insisted on being switched to RB.

Good god. Sign a lb for lb and a rb for rb.

Thats that.

08 Mar 2017 18:47:01
It doesn't matter what foot he is, players on 100k a week should be comfortable using both feet!

08 Mar 2017 21:46:35
All this about Lahm when Paulo Maldini was the greatest left back of all time and he is in fact right footed and he wasn't even mentioned.

Agree9 Disagree2

08 Mar 2017 21:22:36
How has people come to the conclusion on Milner a good right back?

Agree4 Disagree5

08 Mar 2017 23:49:18
Denis Irwin wasn't half bad either. for a Manchester!

Agree4 Disagree2

09 Mar 2017 01:17:43
Milner not Harry I'm just saying he's right foot playing lb .

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Mar 2017 06:29:29
I could see us going for both Pereira and Sessegnon tbh. Pereira covering LB until Sessegnon is ready and then moving over to replace Clyne who is a decent player but maybe not a long term solution.

Can't see us signing two full backs. We will pull out one and it seems Periera more likely to happen unless we bulk out from the asking price. The fact he could operate on both flanks makes the deal sensible.

Cafu was amazing.

Question for the eds I know you say never to get hung up on money but if we sell Sturridge in the summer which looks likely what type of price would we get for him considering his injury record I'm guessing 30 mil just for the fact that he's English.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but £30M is a lot of money to most clubs and I can think of plenty that would not want to risk such a sum on a player who has struggled with injury issues and is fickle about where he plays. I would think that interested sides will be looking initially for a loan or a loan to buy deal rather than jumping in with a large bid.}

08 Mar 2017 11:56:07
If someone pays £30m for Daniel Sturridge I'd like a private word with them. I've got an old BMW I'd love to get rid of.
Looks nice and when it works it purrs like a dream but It's expensive to run and completely unreliable.

Good one Pete! 👍🏻 I think we'd do well to get 20 million for him due to the amount of time he spends on the physio's table!

Agree6 Disagree1

08 Mar 2017 20:24:41
Cheers ed I'd say West Ham would be the type to jump at Sturridge.

08 Mar 2017 21:52:17
£15-18m max I would say.
Too much of a risk for most clubs.
Unless he goes to China.

08 Mar 2017 21:39:38
Would the OP pay 30m for Studge right now? If the answer is no, why should we think another team should do that?

08 Mar 2017 09:45:39
hi ed would you be fit to say who r we looking at and most likey to try and buy thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I am not fit at all Conan. I need to get my act together and get some exercise - thanks for the reminder. In terms of who the club is looking at I think there is good coverage in all of the posts already - and of course the Sharkopod. What I will do for you - perhaps at the start of next week - is give you a new Sharkopod pulling together all of the post January updates. So Monday or Tuesday.}

08 Mar 2017 11:12:11
Cheers ed, your hard work is always appreciated!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I think the time is right Drigan and I have got to enjoy doing them. Monday looks good as I know I need to be around as my wives are going to be in Marrakesh with my daughters and there is someone here to replace all of the garage doors. So I can entertain myself by doing a Sharkopod and making up stories about Liverpool buying Pierre-Emerick Aubameyangadingdong and Joey Barton returning as player-coach.}

08 Mar 2017 11:45:18
Intriguing how your multiple wives have left you unfit, ed. You sure you read the manual?

All jokes aside, I've heard a genuine rumour that Balotelli will be returning as the team psychiatrist.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I think that would be a good move. And Kirikou as team hair stylist.}

08 Mar 2017 11:58:55
Ed002 how is the extension going? How are the wives? Were your daughters successful with their university applications? Finally, when will you be doing a Sharkopod on the 10 best 'Proper English Dishes" with special guest Ken Aguero?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - (a) We are moving house. (b) My daughter left University many years ago. (c) The fans are not interested in guests seemingly and just want to hear me. I had Klipperty as a guest on one of the final day Sharkopods and nobody mentioned it.}

08 Mar 2017 17:50:32
#WDS has been a guest if I remember correctly.
Surely all the walks you take #WDS on has left you fit as a flea?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - #WonderDogSparky drives himself everywhere Ron.}

08 Mar 2017 20:10:30
Wow he really is a WonderDog.
He could be your chauffeur ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He doesn't do menial tasks.}

07 Mar 2017 23:16:54
Ed not sure which one of ye has mentioned our interest in ricardo pereira just wondering is being targeted for the left back position as we are fairly stacked in the rb position as a I feel Trent will challenge clyne possibly next season. Thanks, appreciate the work.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ricardo Pereira is versatile and can play in either position. I have no idea what you mean by "fairly stacked" - the adjective is normally used to describe girls who are overly buxom to the extent that they can often tumble forward. The only time I have heard it when referring to a chap, is in relation to Brendan Rodgers nose.}

08 Mar 2017 11:24:57
😂 classic.

Hi ed,
Do you know if Liverpool are still keeping track of Kieran Tierney? If so can you see them making a bid and do you think he would be good enough.

I know you guys get asked questions all the time, but we really value your replies. thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what you mean by "keeping track of" - they know where he is, he is in Glasgow. Lots of clubs are interested and Celtic won't want to sell.}
