pep guardioula (sorry for a spelling mistake) has stated his interested in falcoa and suarez. which both have the same agent which happens to be pep guardioula brother. he will leave at the end of the season even if we get fourth spot! so don't expect him to stay

The Truth!

Well, expect to get at least what we got for Torres for him, as he's on a long contract!
Then we'd be able to bring in 2 top quality strikers to replace him :)

Suarez will still make his own decision. Don't worry about Pep's brother. I'd like to think Luis is intelligent enough to ignore what agents say, as they're not really people.

We are sick of you and your nonsense. You are an person and nothing you write contains any TRUTH!

08 Feb 2013 00:11:42
Haha, is all I have to say!
Old old news "mate" and that's why he has come out saying he will stay EVEN IF WE DON'T GET CL, so you coming and saying he's leaving even if we get CL Is the most rubbish I read all year, you should call your self "the bullcrap" instead of the truth cause you're so far off I really laughed!

That was off a web site last month and suarez said no he's not going anywhere now that's THE TRUTH! Fact

Suarez said he wants to extend his contract which runs up at 2018 and will speak to the club to sort that out at the end of the season sounds to me he's staying!

Suarez would never be loved as much as he is at Liverpool! Look what happened to Torres {Ed002's Note - So you think the Liverpool fans are the gayest?}

Ed002 i'm sure they would be a few that would take 1 for the team to keep saurez got to say the reply made me really LOL

In all fairness, I do believe us Liverpool fans are the most guilty of having man-crushes on their players. Mine on torres had my girlfriend worried at points I believe. No shame.

Hi ed's,
With the Russian transfer window being open later and the speculation about skirtel and zenit is it possible for one of their players to come our way in any deal or is that not possible.
Cheers
Mo {Ed001's Note - not possible sorry.}

07 Feb 2013 17:44:30
Hi Ed's

If we do accomplish top 4 are we going to see a higher caliber of players at anfield? Or isit at this point right now we just can't afford the cavani's/munian's of the world? Even with champs league.

Cheers

BC {Ed001's Note - depends, the financial difficulties in Spain could see some prices dropping.}

Thanks for replying, what I kinda ment was do you see us actually having the money to drop 30-40m on Cavani or someone of that caliber? To properly improve the squad? {Ed001's Note - that would make no sense. We got Suarez for much less, that is the kind of buy we need to make.}

Is there any reason why one of our young lads, even Sterling or so, can't be better than Muniain?

You don't have to buy good players, they can be moulded if they have enough talent.

Hey eds, love the site. Just wondering now that Carroll is pretty much set to leave this summer are we looking at any strikers to bring in? If so who have we looked at?

Also, since we have Coutinho now does that mean are interest in Ince has died down or is there still potential for a move?

Thanks, Theo. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any strikers being looked at right now. Interest remains in Ince.}

Carragher true legend

07 Feb 2013 16:36:17
Hi ed's,

Just seen a thing in the press saying that Carra plans to retire at the end of the season. With him definitely out, and all the speculation around Skrtel wanting out, then surely this should help persaude Coates to stay (should we want him to). After all that would leave us with one experienced CB (Agger), and two young CBs (Coates, and Kelly) copmpeting for two spaces. Plus of course who ever we sign (we should really have atleast 4 fist team CBs).

With this all said what are the chance of signing one of the follwing in the summer (all are experienced, of a high quality, and soon to be out of contract / out of contract in 2014):
Mamadou Sakho
Toby Alderweireld
Simon Kjaer
Federico Fazio {Ed002's Note - Try the search engine please.}

Carragher true legend. Gutted as he has been in team recently.

Toby alderweireld is off to spurs

Why would we want Coates to stay? You've seen him play right?

Kelly is a right back wisdom is a centre back

Slysports reported that Son Heung-min could leave Hamburg at the right price. Any chance of us snaring him in the summer? {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs, including Liverpool, have been looking at Hamburg's Heung Min Son for the past year. Certainly Spurs, Sunderland, Lille and West Ham have had him watched on more than one occasion recently. Spurs had a bid rejected in January.}

Spurs and Daniel Levy trying to buy a striker in January has become a annual act of fun and laughter. I'm glad we pushed hard and fast for Sturridge.

BCDI.

More funny is where you guys are sitting in the league and where we are

He who laughs last, laughs loudest. Even if takes more than this season we will have the last laugh. Spurs revel in being 4th.
Where as for us? We will not be happy until were 1st again. That's the difference between us and spurs.

07 Feb 2013 15:19:27
As we definitely need at least one centre back in summer would there be any chance of buying Benedikt Howedes, Nicolas Otamendi or Steven Caulker? {Ed002's Note - Right now I would have to say I doubt it.}

The out of favour Michael Dawson might be a better bet?

07 Feb 2013 15:11:31
Is it right that Suarez wants to discuss his future with the bosses eds?
It looks like he's pushing for an exit, have you heard anything apart from what's in the media?

Ashy {Ed002's Note - I have nothing to say on the matter right now.}

Didnt he say he wanted to talk about extendng his contract

Andy the Red

Suarez is happy at Liverpool!

Suarez is great but the club is greater, far greater and has a legacy which matches with the top clubs throughout the World of football.

We are on tough times but we are building in a positive direction. If Suarez wants out then all he has to do is ask, i'm sure. If he stays about and believes in the project that much, then awesome stuff. However if he wants out and would like to go elsewhere then we'll use the money to strengthen and make a leap or two even further in that positive direction, i'm sure.

With no Mario for the media in England to toy with, they'll be using an even more powerful microscope for Suarez. It's out of the fans hands, so we can only hope for the best and be ready for the worst.

BCDI.

Don't believe everything you read in The Mirror. Football reporting, it's as bad as that other paper.

07 Feb 2013 21:46:53
Read the interview with Suarez and you will know he wants to stay. As Rafa would say "stick with the facts"

Ant

I didn't read anything in the papers I heard something on the radio at work the other day which is why I asked for an opinion because I don't know where the rumours started.

Ed I understand that i'm just might just be throwing names around but do you feel these players are or would be available in the summer and would Liverpool be interested, seeing as we might sell a few big names and therefore might have a large transfer budget in the summer.

fwd; alexis sanchez
cm; k. p. boateng
cb; fernando amorebieta
gk; nikolay mihaylov

with carroll, skrtel, coates, reina and a few more (assaidi, spearing, pacheco and some under21's) all possibly being offloaded in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Sanchez will be available in the summer, if Suarez leaves Liverpool might be interested. (b) Boateng may move - I don't see Liverpool as a likely destination. (c) Athletic Bilbao's Amorebieta is attracting the interest of Liverpool, Zenit, Everton, Norwich and Roma. He might also continue to attract the attention of both Arsenal and AC Milan who watched the player last year. (d) I don't know.}

Now that Carragher has also announced he is retiring end of season. Signing defenders are key. So I can see Amorebieta being a target.

Any chance of Coates stepping up to first team?

Ed you keep saying liveroool will be interested in sanchez if suarez leaves. But why wouldn't we be interested and keep suarez? Are you meaning its because of our cash and the only way we can buy sanchez is from the money we make of suarez. Cheers

Gezza1982 {Ed002's Note - I don't see both at the club.}

They are similar players

07 Feb 2013 12:32:20
Eds, do you think we will try to bring in another defensive mid in the summer as cover for lucas? imo I think wanyama from celtic would be an excellent additon. Nice one {Ed002's Note - What about Coady? And Wanyama would not move to sit on the bench as cover.}

We have Yalany Baio as well as Coady in the youth program. Could be a really good player, not as far along as Coady.

The only way I'd see us bringing in CDM cover for Lucas that was any good would be if he was cover for other positions too. For example (not saying we are looking to buy him, just example); Luiz Gustavo is a 25yr old 6'2" fringe player at Bayern and Brazilian CDM that can play CB and started out as a LB. someone like him could play alongside Lucas, instead of Lucas or as cover for CB or LB if needed.

If we get into the Champions League then FSG will significantly increase our transfer budget, with an exciting £25 million bid for the unsettled Hulk on the cards.

Watch this space

Kop Boy 2020

Hulk not a chance

Where did you pluck that 1 from ill predict even if we do make champions league we still won't sign hulk even if we make champions league go on and win it I still can't see lfc signing hulk

The unsettled and overrated Hulk.

That would be the biggest waste of money since £35m for Carroll.

Not a Hulk fan. personally I prefer Captain America. Singred

I hope not he's garbage

We could get Rulk for 1/3 of that money and I think he has a better temperament for the English game.

SpudRed

If we sign him he would probably turn into david banner full time knowing are luck are at least for the first 2 years. Tommy Irish Red

Hulk is money orientated. We don't need him

Hulk? That would be incredible

Lol other teams will be green with envy.!best not make him angry though!

Hi eds, is there a chance Skrtel could be off to Russia before the end of the month? Why would the club let this happen when they wouldn't let Coates leave on loan due to lack of cover? {Ed002's Note - There might be a chance but the summer seems more likely right now. If Coates is to go I would think a sale more likely than a loan.}

Skrtel & Coates were to leave then we still have Kelly & Wisdom who are both natural center backs not full backs, so why does everyone feel we need a replacement why not just use Kelly or Wisdom.

BigD

Kelly wisdom and Agger next season

07 Feb 2013 10:49:33
Morning eds, hows it going? Quick question. Have we got interest in Marco Rojas for future? Have a good day boys. Nice 1! Gaz {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it.}

07 Feb 2013 10:05:44
hello eds, do you have any idea about how serious is the interest in Skrtl (inquiries made already?) from Russia and if there's interest for how long the russian transfer window will be open? thx {Ed002's Note - The window will be open until the end of teh month. I have explained that there is serious interest.}

Sama will train with the first team when/if skrtel is sold. BR really likes Sama but feels experience is needed.

Any chance of Lewandowski coming to the club if Borini does leave, some on here don't like him, but I rate him.

Morning Eds, With all this talk about Reina being off at the end of the season, what sort of price are we looking to be getting? Thanks in advance.

Suarez has told papers he wants to play for a club in the champions league and he will see where Liverpool finish the season. This is the same guy who said he will stay even if we don't get top 4. He is starting to get me mad. If he wants to go he should just go.

Pork chop

07 Feb 2013 09:47:59
Listening to rubbish again, of course he wants champs league what footballer doesn't, but papers will say anything jeeze if they said he wanted to go to brighton you would probably believe it

Where and when did you read that?

Don't buy any papers, so were there any direct quotes from him? Maybe we just need to have faith in the player to make the right decision for both himself and the club.

Keith

Suarez comments taken out of context AGAIN. Here are 2 quotes from the interview with Marca:

". when asked by Spanish radio station Marca if they should “talk about his future again in June, ” Suarez stated bluntly: “Yes, we should talk this June or the next one, in 2014. My contract ends in 2018. ”

"I'm very pleased and very happy because Liverpool is growing. It's not the team that it once was as they have had a dip. But now we have a new coach who has a philosophy of the game with which the players are very happy. "

Read the facts. not the hype!

You really should take a break and actually read his interview because it really does not say that at all. He has said he is constantly flumoxed by the incredible passion of LFC fans and it remains a deep honour to be living his dream at LFC. He also indicated that LFC suffered a dip in form in recent history but that under the new management philosophy the players were happier and feel that they are capable now of pushing for a Champions' League place!

Just been on tv, as a just in. He's done another interview with a radio station and his talks in June or next year are about extending his contract, not wanting out!

Keith

This paper being the mirror? Guardian, using the same quotes claim he wants to extend his contract. Why not go back to the actual interview Itself before you judge. Papers are there to sell to silky people who believe what they say is the absolute and only interpretation of the facts. He may leave, and he may stay, don't let others make your mind up get the details first!

It is now saying he hoping to extend his contract at the end of the season so no idea which is true and which not i'm sure we will find out at the end of the season

07 Feb 2013 11:23:36
People are so easily manipulated! Can't you see that the media blow things out of proportion, its why the media is there to manipulate peaples thoughts and for the powers that be ("I. e in this situation club owners, agents!, anyone assosiated in the game who is going to profit from the media attention. ) to manipulate situations through the media. I wouldn't pay attention to the media!

No doubt it will be another article "lost in translation", pathetic

I think people need to get a better handle on when to believe a newspaper with regards to a player's comments and when not to.

There's always this mis-rumour/translation that bends towards the media's desire to be rid of him from our shores but this is always in stark contrast to things like his interview/feature in the Daily Mail the other week (I know, I only check their site for the comedy effect).

The feature included photos he posed for them and a bit feature interview. That was where he was saying he doesn't want to leave/loves the club etc. THAT is the paper story to believe, not these other ones made up to sell headlines.

That Marca spanish paper also seems to get away with posting a lot of false rumours, many of which have a pro-spain approach (i. e. so-and-so heading to barca/Madrid), I take every rumour from there with a pinch of salt.

misterdrumz

I think you will find suarez has actually stated that he wants to review his contract with a wish to extending it beyond 2018 because he loves the club so much don't get me wrong I have only heard thru the grapevine like yourself but if its true that he wants to stay that's loyalty for you

Suarez is happy at Liverpool!

Dou you not know of translation errors and the urge of the British press to destabilise LFC.?

07 Feb 2013 07:39:12
hi edddds was borini touted or looked at by fiorantina during the jan transfer window. reports suggesting he also could be leaving in the summer {Ed002's Note - I am not aware that any efforts were made in January but am aware that one of the Italian radio shows has linked Borini with a move because Daniele Prade has moved to Fiorentina from Roma where he worked with the player.}

If we could get £9m i'd take it I don't think he is good enough although to be fair to him he has been out injured majority of the season.

BigD

07 Feb 2013 03:33:53
Hey eds, just wondering if You would know of any interest from Liverpool in Kevin Trapp? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

07 Feb 2013 02:07:38
so borini in advanced talks with fiorentina about a possible summer move!

Borini clearly said that he wanted to settle down after moving all over the Uk and Italy for the past three years so, it ain't happenin'

07 Feb 2013 01:32:20
Hi eds, I have seen you mention Atletico Madrid as a possible destination for Reina if he were to leave in the summer. My question to you was, would they be able to afford him? If reports are true, he is one of the top wage earners at our club. Would Madrid be able to offer him a financial package that he would deem worthy?

Thankyou in advance.

DownUnderRed. {Ed002's Note - As with any transfer, a player has to look at the options available and the offers on the table. If he he is to move somewhere then he has to adapt accordingly.}

07 Feb 2013 00:49:53
Just read this on the tv website, hope its not true

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has raised doubts about his future at Anfield. The Uruguayan, 26, said: "We will see at the end of the season what Liverpool's position is - we're not the Liverpool of old. "

07 Feb 2013 09:44:33
Read what was said properly!

07 Feb 2013 10:00:15
whats wrong in it?
not everyone on earth are patient enough like us.
rebuilding since 23 years.
and no progress in two years of his arrival.

Perhaps the Liverpool of old is the one that has been playing for the past five years and he sees us as being better this season?

It's a bad misapplication of a quote from the Suarez interview on the actual LFC site. He says nothing like what is implied by the abyssmal Daily Mirror. they really are probably the most attrocious paper in the country at the moment for us reds!

Please read the whole interview and not just the excerpts that certain national papers put into their rags.

Danny.

Then he goes on saying. under the BR we are making progress and playing under a physiology that all the players really enjoys. I feel Liverpool is my home, my family love living here we are settled.

Liverpool love Suarez and visaversa

06 Feb 2013 23:53:12
eds, I remember something a while back about g. johnson being sold if an acceptable offer was made?
is this still the case?
also is there any players we are actively trying to get rid of in the summer?
please post and reply, cheers mate! {Ed002's Note - I think that Johnson is settled but obviously there has been much talk about Reina, Skrtel etc. leaving in the summer, and perhaps before for Skrtel. I would not say the club are actively trying to get rid of these players.}

07 Feb 2013 07:06:54
Hey Ed's love the site I was wondering if it is true that we are going after emineke pardon the spelling in the summer
Tom. {Ed002's Note - There was talk of Panathinaikos interest a while back and a number of clubs have looked at the player in recent months including Reading and perhaps Liverpool.}

06 Feb 2013 22:47:33
Hi Eds love the website. Has Bruno Martins Indi ever been looked at? Big Al Llandudno {Ed001's Note - I don't know mate.}
