Romano just report Fabio Carvalho as done deal

Is this true?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool were negotiating compensation with Fulham with a third party involved - I assume that they have now agreed.}

Whao. We now have 3 young players in that position - Jones, Elliot, Carvalho.
Exciting!

Seems like Ox will be gone.

5 year deal, medical done with Fulhams permission, no loan back and announcement in May supposedly.

Will he come to us eds or do you see him being loaned back? Thanks.

According to Yahoo it's a done deal at £5 million and he won't be going back on loan.
Ox could well be gone, Klopp said in an interview recently there would probably be players moving on in the summer to get more playing time.

As indicated quite some time ago. He will come to us. £7.7m agreed including add-ons.

08 Apr 2022 09:33:24
What do you think Ox is worth. Perhaps £20million?

08 Apr 2022 13:57:05
We'd be lucky to get £10m.

09 Apr 2022 13:33:11
Yeah, I think it will be around £10m for Ox, might struggle to get rid with his wages being so high.

Hi ed. is gleison bremer also on our shortlist player to add for the next season? Appreciate for your thoughts. Thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Gleison Bremer (CB) Carlo Ancelotti tried to take him to Napoli and also Everton. He could try again as an affordable option for Real Madrid. Spurs and Milan provide good options as Spurs look to upgrade on the CBs they have and Milan fear losing Alessio Romagnoli as a Free Agent. Again, he is of interest to Inter Milan who fear losing Alessandro Bastoni in the summer of 2022 and they offer perhaps the most attractive solutution. Previously of interest to Leicester and Liverpool, but both opted for others. Juventus have him on a list of options should they lose de LIgt in the summer but there are certainly a couple ahead of him. Chelsea have a pressing need to add CBs with players out of contract in the summer and could look to him as a cost-effective solution. Torino will look to a new contract to end thoughts of a move but that has not stopped clubs scouting him as they expect him to be available in the summer as he has so far refused a new contract. Bayern Munich have held discussions with Torino.

A CB is not a priority for Liverpool.}

Is Serge Gnabry someone that could interest Liverpool if Salah doesn't stay on or even as a long term replacement for Salah/ Mane. Obviously he's done pretty well for Bayern since joining then but can't say I have seen a lot of him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Serge Gnabry (RW/LW) Seems to fail to settle at any club and is not open to signing a new contract without a significant increase in salary, and it is his very significant financial demands that are proving to be a problem. Barcelona have him on their list of options, but they are going to have to balance summer transfers carefully and his wage demands will be an issue. The wages are less of a problem for Juventus where tax laws are beneficial. Real Madrid consider him an option to Mbappe as they look to shake up their wingers. Versatile enough to be considered a Martial replacement at Manchester United and on the list for Liverpool as a potential Salah replacement - but none will want to break the bank for him. Has been offered to Chelsea and PSG by his agent, but both see the wage demands as far too high.}

Club will not be accommodating any demands from Mo’s contingent. His agent has thoroughly p. ed off the main guy at LFC (not henry) . There will be no negotiating nor will the club let him leave in the summer.

Offer made stands and it was a huge offer already which was laughed at by two people from salah’s contingent and his agent. Offer is close to 21 million a year with add ons.

If he refuses to sign an extension at a sensible rate then he must be encouraged to move on in the summer. No business can afford to turn it's nose up at £50/ 60/ 70 million just to make a point.

Surely you don't think our financial people are idiots.

I guess the question is this, is Salah worth more to us for one more season than he is for a relatively small transfer fee (I say relatively small because £50/ 60m for a 20 a season world class player is chicken feed in context, we couldn’t hope to get a player of equivalent quality for whatever we get in transfer fees for Salah and there not factoring in that we wouldn’t actually receive £50/ 60m but a figure substantially below that once disbursements are paid out) Also, you have to factor in that we may well agree a fee with another team, but he could refuse to go, like McManaman did with Barcelona.

Kind of hope we sell him in the summer now to be honest.
He’s getting a little too big for his boots. The behaviour from his “agent” is embarrassing.

153 in 5 seasons with at least 12 games to go this year. That averages 30+ goals EVERY season. Ye'd want to be getting a top transfer fee or else there's no point. Salahs goals could get us a round or two further in the champs lge or get us another couple of trophies next year. Is a transfer fee enough to pay for one of Declan Rices legs worth letting him go for?

Has it been formally announced yet that Salah is bigger than the club?

Agree6 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - not yet. Things like that take time:-P

07 Apr 2022 16:45:45
What Akira has put is well in the public domain, nothing new, go on reddit its all over there what he was offered, his agents reaction is all over twitter etc. No one knows bar Salah and LFC what is going on, if he signs great. If he refuses 400k a week then good luck to him and see you later. LFC have bent over backwards to offer him a good package, if he feels he's worth more good look in him finding it.

Maybe find out what's really happened first before turfing him out on his ear.

Sell Salah! Thanks for everything mo u won’t get that statue now but it was close and a pitty! Just remember LFC made u and played for your strengths and the grass isn’t always greener!

I’m not bitter lads I promise 🤣.

I hope to God that we don't give Salah 400 a week. It's just wrong. I worry about the effect in the dressing room. He'll be on over 3 times what Mane is on. He's been well off form by his lofty standards since pre AFCON. It seems his agent and entourage are a problem maybe more than the player himself. From the OP sounds as tho the club are ready to let him run it down. I'm fine w whatever they think is best for the club. Elliott Gordon Carvalho will have two pre seasons and a season to get up to speed. Plus any incomings. Seems also that Salah might not have too many appealing options outside of us. 250 take it or leave it.

On current form salah is worth 1/ 8 of what he’s asking
He’s a phenomenal player but I just get the feeling fans opinion is starting to shift and are not as worried if was to leave

Personally I hope he rediscovers his form Sunday and blows up again till the end of the season but I actually think that makes it harder to get the deal done but if we win another trophy or 2 then I don’t care I just want the team winning.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - His form is suffering because he’s knackered…you know how many 90 games he played at the AFCON that went to extra time and pens? Then he came straight home from the final and played relentlessly for Liverpool. Then he played two games for Egypt in the international break which one again went to extra time and pens..add to this the travel, sleeping in a strange bed, jet lag, Ramadan and you can appreciate why the guys form has suffered. The guy is literally sacrificing his body for us let’s give him some support in his hour of need.

08 Apr 2022 15:16:38
Well said Ed - the guys a legend and who cares if his agent is a complete plonker who always seems to ask too much and shop Salah around every other week? So long as Salah does his best every time he pulls his shirt on (and by god he does) I will support him and enjoy the phenomenal player he is and success he brings the side.

Having said that, the club are absolutely right to offer what we think is fair and no more. If he does end up going elsewhere - and that’s a big if - then we’ll be just fine with Diaz, Jota, Mane, Firmjno and some youngsters coming through.

"There will be no negotiating nor will the club let him leave in the summer. "

That doesn't make any sense.

Why would the club let him run down his contract and leave for free in 12 months?

He needs to be sold. His importance to the club is greatly exaggerated. Partly due to a fawning media.

Doesn't Jota has as many goals from open play this season?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2022 18:10:45
Red67 if you think jota is as good as mo. I don't know what your smoking. They are worlds apart mate. Salah is a true world class player who has been run into the ground this season so far. Jota has great figures and so he should (imagine how many goals kane or lewandowski would have if they were in his central role for us) . but hardly influencing games mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2022 08:10:50
That's because Jota, Kane and Lewandowski can all do things, playing through the middle, that Salah can't.

Jota scores winners for us.

What exactly does Salah to "influence games" that deserves a basic salary 4 times more than Jota? I'm all ears.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - drags extra men to cover him opening up space for Jota to get goals.}

09 Apr 2022 15:18:28
And for that he should receive a base salary four or five times higher?

And if that were true, how come Jota does just fine when Salah is not playing?
