Hey Ed002,

My dream possibly realistic choice for GK would be Rui Patricio. Experienced and fit the bill perfectly for me. I know we were linked in the past. Do you think interest has gone from Liverpool?

{Ed002's Note - Interest went with Rodgers Davey.}

06 Mar 2017 22:04:22
He s not worth taking Rodgers back šŸ˜€ cheers Ed. Appreciate the response.

Butland would be the GK target šŸ‘.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - But he isn't, it is another English player that Klipperty has the trots for.}

08 Mar 2017 23:23:22
"Would" should have been "should", that was a spellcheck error.
So is it Pickford then ed? Klipperty has a bit of a GK blind spot.
Butland is going to be a great keeper, up there with the best.

{Ed002's Note - Yes Ron.}

Hi eds,
With Isco in the last 18 months of his contract with Real Madrid, his price has dropped to ā‚¬35mil. Which in my opinion is a steal. Haven't watched much of him play but have heard he's. Do you reckon Liverpool would try and sign him in the summer?

Believable1 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - you haven't seen much of him but you think 35m is a steal for him? Perhaps you should watch more of him! There is a reason he is surplus, despite Zidane having begged Madrid to sign him in the first place, it is now Zidane that does not want him. That should tell you all you need to know. He is not a Klopp type of player.}

06 Mar 2017 20:06:27
Along with that, Isco's demands will be regular football meaning he will ask to to take Coutinho's place. Why on earth would we want to sign a player who is nowhere near the level of Coutinho?

07 Mar 2017 06:48:48
Gotta be a wind up? A steal for Ā£35m for a player you've not watched? I rate him but he's too similar to Coutinho and I can't see room for them both. Stick with Coutinho all day long.

So latest news via the Liverpool Echo

"Liverpoolā€™s wage bill rocketed by 25% as it passed the Ā£200 million mark for the first time. "

"The Reds shelled out Ā£208,258,000 on salaries for players and staff for the 12 months up to May 31 2016 - more than Premier League rivals Manchester City (Ā£198m) and Arsenal (Ā£195m) . "

"That represents a hefty increase on the previous year when Liverpoolā€™s wage bill was Ā£166,085,000. The details are included in the clubā€™s accounts which have now been filed at Companies House. "

So to end of with that news, anyone accusing the club of not spending money along with the other blah blah blah vitriol towards FSG when the club made a Ā£20m pre tax loss need to put a sock in it now when they say FSG are only here to make money off the club. If the club makes a loss, the owners pockets take the hit.

Moving on.

So here is what I reckon Klopp will do this summer,

The club tried to move on Clyne last summer and was why Clyne was so furious during the summer window. Believe the club will make attempts to move Clyne on again along with Sakho, Lucas, Markovic, Bogdan, Sturridge and possibly Ings. There could very well be another clear out in the academy for those who have no future to make space for other youngsters trying to break through. If Mignolet does go then I cannot see Klopp signing another keeper. Ward will be made no 2.

I doubt anymore midfielders will be added even with the departure of Lucas. Klopp still has Grujic who has to play regularly next season due to his work permit requirements. Ed002 has said the club do not have intentions to move on either Can or Stewart . Then we still have Lallana, Wijnaldum and Henderson plus academy players. Milner is another who can play in midfield. We are well and truly stocked in this department. More midfielders will have to leave along with Lucas in order to add more CMā€™s which will be explained in the very last paragraph of my post.
.
Two new fullbacks will be signed, TAA, Moreno and Milner as backups. Another forward with pace and trickery, another CB and that will be it in my humble opinion.

Our wage bill will have to be reduced considerably before Klopp decides to go crazy in the market otherwise Liverpool could be looking at running at a loss again in the next financial results. If we do not qualify for CL then having one of the highest wage bills in the League could end up spelling trouble ahead and pretty sure Ed002 will agree regarding LFC's wage bill.

yea I agree on the money thing. to me it's not really the amount of money spent, but more about getting the right structures and the right people in to use that money in the best way possible.

Obviously you only watch motd then matip. Clyne is awful.

07 Mar 2017 16:56:31
It is true that the club/ Klopp wanted to move on Clyne last summer Matip is Boss. Ed002 last summer confirmed that Clyne was not a happy man when the club was offering him around.

08 Mar 2017 05:26:47
I will say this, Klopp hit both his big money buys, Matip was a good pickup, Klavan is what he's been brought to be and that is be serviceable, with only Karius being a question mark. If Klopp can pull off another summer like that, we are going to be in a good spot.

I think Klopp will go for a veteran premier league keeper, thinking Schmichel, Heaton,

Any updates on Saed Kolasanic Eds?

08 Mar 2017 07:01:01
I like Heaton. and I really liked Butland before the injury. I think Butland may have better ball distribution too but it remains to see what he's like after the injury.

I wonder if Cresswell (West Ham) has ever been considered as a LB?

Liverpool scouts in Portugal to scout Danilo Pereira, the 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 51 appearances for Porto.

06 Mar 2017 10:52:35
He is the full back you told us about right ed?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - No, this is nonsense.

Portoā€™s defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira is a player that Arsenal looked to bring in during the summer of 2016 but they were not willing to pay anything like the asking price. So just to put this in to context, Danilo Pereira moved in the summer of 2015 for just less than ā‚¬3M ā€“ the ā€œrelease clauseā€ on which the asking price was based was ā‚¬40M in the summer and has now risen to a very hefty ā‚¬60M after he signed a new contract in January. If Arsenal were to offer or close to that then I am pretty sure Porto will let him go. Recently Manchester United has also taken a look at Danilo.

Liverpool has not shown any interest in the player but have spoken with Porto regarding full back Ricardo Pereira who is on loan at Nice this season.}

Are we interested in torino's Bellotti.?

As Torino's owber values him at ā‚¬150m I don't see that happening.
