HI Eds, just heard from a saints player that LFC are showing interest in a young winger called Luke shaw ,have you heard anything ? cheers ant {Ed002's Note - I thought he was the left back that another side looked at a while back?}

We're also looking to sign his Chinese cousin, Rick Shaw.

Eds who was the other club looking at him?

And do you think if the offer was good for Southampton they would sell and if so how much would we be looking at because Arsenal had to pay £12m for Walcott and £15 for OX..

BigD {Ed002's Note - Chelsea made an approach to Southampton in January this year. They were told he is not for sale but, apparently, have kept a watchful eye on him. I don't know of any interest being shown by Liverpool.}

He is not for sale, and you are at least number four interested. Snowballs chance in ****, would sum that one up.

I know he's 30 and he probably not likely to sign but he's always been a goal scorer but what about Defoe. Always been quite a fan of his but is there any chance at all?

FowlerGod. {Ed002's Note - I would doubt Defoe is at the top of the list.}

Why would he's spurs to go to us??

There's no depth to the question, i was just curious cos i'm a fan and he is a proven goal scorer and i could see him do quite well at LFC but i could never see him leave spurs for us.

Hey eds, just wondering, how much do yous think we will have to spend in january? do you think darren bent is worth the risk? i know he is always criticised for his workrate, but the fact is he is a world class and the finisher we need. How much would he cost ed? would villa take direct swap with downing, or a loan until the end of the year, and if he impresses 10m plus spearing in the summer? i think villa would take downing, as they play with a big man benteke, and downing is just the player you need on the wing to put the ball in. And are the llorente and honda rumours bs? And is there proper serious interest in the likes of turan and mertens
i would be quite happy with bent and sturridge in january
JamieLFC {Ed002's Note - (1) I would doubt it will be a money based target, so "within reason" still rules the day. (2) I would be surprised, but we will see. (3) A swap seems unlikely. (4) As does a loan. (5) Details about Llorente and Honda can be found by using the search engine. (6) From whom?}

He is not world class.
Redrooster

Wow how many questions in 1 post lol 3 about darren bent

Darren Bent - world class: never thought I would see those words in the same sentence

Cheers
Wafa {Ed002's Note - He is on loan and will not be moving to Liverpool in January.}

Hey eds,
Probably aload of spoof, but the daily star reported that we were linked with a 12m move in january for keisuke honda? is any part of this true or is it complete bs? Also read that hulk is unhappy at zenit after a row with the manager, and with chelsea been after him for the last while, they could come in for him making the sturridge deal more likely? and in ur own opinion, what striker do you think personally we will bring in, and do you think it will be more than 1 striker/ well known player (15-20m?) {Ed002's Note - Honda was dealt with earlier. Hulk will not be moving to Liverpool in January (cue much more abuse from the halfwits). I would think two forwards will arrive - hard to say who might finally arrive - perhaps I should sytick with my original prediction of Sturridge signing and Jeffren on loan.}

Hi Eds. My prediction is Sturridge and Hooper.

Piledriver

He didn't say anything about hulk to Liverpool if you read it ed002. {Ed002's Note - Hulk will also not be moving to Chelsea in January.}

What do you mean hulk wont be signing pffft i have it on good authority from a ball boy i know at the club that hulk lorrente cavani and a possibly david villa will be coming no wonder you get abuse denying such obvious transfers sorry ed 002 couldnt resist it you do a fantastic job and dont deserve abuse for speaking the truth even if it doesnt make some people happy keep up the great work on my only must visit site

How nice of the ed to insult his customer base.and busiest forumn=fans and reds fans {Ed002's Note - I have never thought of you as my "customer base". How quaint.}

Ed002, I dont think that you abuse anybody ! Nearly19

Ed002, I dont think that you abuse anybody ! Nearly19 {Ed002's Note - Post of the day.)

07 Dec 2012 11:08:09
Customers pay money. The ed simply provides info from people in the know for free. They use alot of free time to reply to posts alot of them from persons who dont read the other posts and ask the same question that has been asked again and again. If you dont like the way the site is ran simply dont use it

I think that Keisuke Honda would be a great buy! A class player!

Daniel Sturridge will be at Upton Park to observe his new club to be on Sunday. He will have face to face talks with Brendan Rogers after the match, this is to discuss Rogers plans for the forward. Chelsea have agreed a fee in excess of £14mil although no deal can be made official until the transfer window opens.

Brian Fantana

We will see and know if your right on sunday

I am sure he will lol Brian fantana strikes again I am sure you sit you sit at home wondering what bs to come up with. Redrooster

This blokes last post was 2nd only to the cleaners BS post earlier today. Keep em coming Bri :-)

Daniellambretta

Any ideas if he will be in the stands or directors box brian and could he be travelling back with the team to get to know his team mates even tho he cant officially move until january maybe him and saurez could play some cod on psp get a rapport up an running

Give the lad a chance if Sunday comes and goes with no sign of the player around the game then dig him out on Monday or late Sunday! To quick to rip!

Deanalfie.

For one thing, his transfer can be made official before the window opens - he just can't actually move until the 1st January!

JammyRed

Sorry but im just not happy with sturridge i will say this he will not get you 20 goals a season and there no way i would pay 14mil for him he is just not that good

06 Dec 2012 21:02:08
Hi Eds, are any clubs interested in Kurt Zouma?

Ghandi Floss {Ed002's Note - Arsenal looked at him about a year or so ago. Manchester United in the summer and Manchester City now.}

06 Dec 2012 20:57:50
From a very reliable source. Sturridge 100% Ian ayre already in negotiation. Also balotelli on loan in Jan. Watch this space!

While I feel ridiculous replying, how can it be 100% if negotiations are still underway?

Andy K

Come on andy everythings done except the negotiations on sandwich fillings for the coach trip home

Would love that but never going to happen city know how good balotelli is and they know that all we need is a player like him, and a top attacking midfielder to make our starting eleven be as good as any in the league.

07 Dec 2012 20:19:58
I'd love , apsolutly love to see Balloteli and Suarez play allongside. Just imagine the drama and the theater. I would love it!!!, and it will never happen.
Super(he is at times) Mario and The Monster(all the time)

It would be a good move by City, with Ballotelli in our team we could take a few more point off their title contenders

Hey eds please post .. With Llorente saying that he will not sign a new contract with Bilbao, is there any chance of us getting him cheaper I'm sure they'd rather get something now than nothing at the end of the season ..
Also could people stop goin on about players that for one could not afford to offer wages so high other players could demand a higher wage for having a key role like these players and with no CL football and honolulu to have fit another 2 years at least making up players to be linked with just because they turn out to be good in Fifa after a few years
Thanks Dublin-Adam-YNWA {Ed002's Note - I would doubt there will be a secret cheap agreement with Liverpool. Fernando Llorente is still interesting a number of clubs. Chelsea, and I suspect Manchester City, have dropped their interest and I would think that other clubs could be scared off by the size of the transfer fee still being asked by Athletic Bilbao. There is a very good chance that he will move next year and there has been plenty of discussion with Juventus over a January move althgough it looks like it will come to nothing. Interest from Arsenal, Spurs and now Atletico Madrid and Barcelona has been ramping up. It is likely that he will end up at one of these clubs but at a much lesser fee if he moves in January. His alternatives will be to sign a new contract, sign a pre-contract in January for a summer move or to let his contract run down and go for a good sized signing on fee.}

So you're suggesting we can get Llorente (a top player interesting clubs all over Europe) on the cheap, then asking other fans to stop being unrealistic and deluded in their aspirations?

The reply actually made the post worth reading lol

Good evening 002 i am not anti your replies but would like to know if you are a mighty reds fan yourself {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "mighty reds" is.}

06 Dec 2012 19:02:09
Have heard that Hooper will defo not be moving in January ,and will look for a move in the summer .
Any move of regular starters at Celtic will be dependant on replcements being sourced before departures.

If only we had thought of that !

Kobi

Tbh, I bet most of their players wouldn't entertain a move now with being in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

I a celti fan and he will go but not in january the ablove poster is right no player would wont a move away until the champions league is over hooper will go in the summer for about 12 million

06 Dec 2012 13:00:15
who is ed? i've heard juve are definitely after suarez, and if he wants to go nothing will stop him he has been known to be ruthless in getting what he wants, and here at liverpool he could be years away any glory, {Ed002's Note - Suarez has been playing very well this season so interest in him should not be unexpected. Juventus and Suarez did some courting in the summer so perhaps that would have been a more likely time to move. However, as you say, interest does remain in Suarez.}

Lol ruthless in getting what he wants? He's moved clubs once.. {Ed002's Note - Three times.}

What was the point of this post? {Ed002's Note - It is a transfer rumour.}

Why would he sign a new deal and then want to move when it is clear to see we are improving and dont forget he got to two cup finals last season . cl is not out of the question yet 7 points of 4th i assume this is just a made up rumour.Tommy Irish Red

Suarez won't leave

This rumor is getting tiring. Stop beating a dead horse. He is not going anywhere.

Wish you all would stfu about suarez leaving he has stated he aint going nowhere this is the club he wants to remain at for rest of his career....so STFU

Hi ed,
I doubt they could afford what we would want. Is there any other clubs interested ed?

Thanks. {Ed002's Note - They can afford it and interest remains from elsewhere. If Suarez does not want to leave amybe it become a discussion point next summer.}

Agree this is getting tiresome its Juve again and like I have said before unless they have won the lottery you have to ask how the can afford to spend a huge sum on Suarez considering Torres went to Chelsea for £50 Million {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Chelsea - or Torres for that matter. Try moving on just a couple of years.}

Didnt Suarez recently sign a new contract

Ed what do you mean by Juventus AND Suarez did some courting. Was Suarez thinking about moving?

PD6 {Ed002's Note - Read thru the summer posts - it is perfectly clear.

Ayre's office is in Water St, you fool

Ed002 I'm sorry but your full of it, you really think Liverpool would sell the one striker they have? Do you think Juve can afford the valuation Liverpool would put on him?

Have to be honest you do have some decent insight on some matters, but you have absolutely zero inside information from Liverpool so why sprout crap. Suarez was courting Juve was he? that's rubbish and you know it, Suarez came out in the summer and said he would not be leaving Liverpool and that he loves the fans and owes them, for all the support they have given them.

Why try wind the fans on here up, you get p***** off when its the other way round and posters try and wind you up.

Finally I appreciate the hard work all the eds do on this site including you and I am just trying to make the point that trying to wind fans up is not needed.

This does not need to be posted as I don't want to spark abuse against any of the eds, its just for Ed002 to read.

RAH {Ed002's Note - Well, I appreciate you want to complain but what have I said that implies Liverpool wishes to sell Suarez? Every son of a bitch who plays 10 minutes of decent football world-wide or on fantasy manager becomes a target for Liverpool but seemingly only the deadwood trash-rubbish can be sold by Liverpool. Suarez has played well all season but nobody should be interested? All I am doing is stirring things up as far as you are concerned? Do you realise how embarrassing you make the Liverpool supporters look by sending in posts like this? I get constant abuse from the vegetables and as you say I am "sprouting crap" and have "absolutely zero inside information from Liverpool". I wonder why I bother sometimes - but I am sure that you wish I didn't. Another point or two off the collective IQ from my standpoint.}

So eds have juve got a spare 60 million cause thats what he will cost .mark

No mark, ed002 has only said 3 times that Juve could afford him. But for 60m they couldn't I guess.... Get a brain mate!

Melbourne CFC

Eds I think I have moved on a couple of years and can see from reliable jourrnalists in Italy that finances are tight in Italy and believe there is now way Juve can afford that amount of money. Remember Italy's struggles in buying Aquilani? I think if you do a thorough review you will find that Juve cannot afford Suarez unless they bankrupt themselves END OF thank you {Ed002's Note - No problem then. If none of the interested clubs can afford him, then there is no reason to worry.}

In addition you can move on a couple of years and still find that prices for TOP CLASS players are STILL escalating. Suarez comes into this category. Juve have messed LFC around a few times in the past regarding player purchases because they simply cannot afford the prices. {Ed002's Note - As you have already said, they can't afford him. No need to keep replying to the same post.}

I think Ed is saying the Juve aren't the only interested party. Perhaps Man City, Real Madrid and PSG have shown an interest?

No problem with a player having ambition and moving from a mid table club

Eds seems to have missed the point completely never mind. I do agree that other clubs like Man City & Chelsea are well capable of buying Suarez should it turn into a bidding war between the clubs. If a £40 million clause does exist in his contract as has been reported Chelsea could well offer that & City might be tempted to throw in a higher bid pushing the price upwards. Juve could well struggle to match that - we all hope this doesn't happen but the reality is if FSG are not going to invest to improve the playing structure this type of scenario could become a reality.

Melbourne cfc i think the eds forgets these italians are very mean people they hate coughing up money and for the money a player of suarez class would cost juve have zero chance of signing him theres around 5 clubs that could afford him and juve aint 1 of them ,mark

They are mean people mark? I think you mean financially frugal... What I think you're missing mark is the CL money they receive this season, coupled with the money made from Seria A last season. They also recently signed a significant sponsonship deal with Jeep, more recently Samsung. They are not the struggling club you guys claim they are.

Ed002 isn't trying to make you all cry by saying what he is, but he is certainly not lying when he says they can afford him.

Melbourne CFC

Is this true ed? {Ed002's Note - I need a little more detail than that.}

What melbournecfc said {Ed002's Note - There are a number of clubs who could afford Suarez - it does not even need to be a cash onlyt from them deal as a club could take the route Atletico Madrid did with Falcao.}

Thats a negative melbournecfc you are wrong

You guys are beyond help...

Melbourne CFC

This is turning into a complete joke. get a grip guys. IF a team makes a big offer around the predicted 40 mil mark, it will definately be accepted. BR loves buying players and this gives him the chance to do that and make the team fully his own. also fsg would not turn down this income injection. Also why do some fools seem to think suarez is worth well more than 40? Is he better than falcao? ibrahimovic? hulk? just 3 of many players in this price range.

Whilst I personally don't believe that Suarez will leave this January, to believe that Juventus couldn't afford him is very short-sighted. Had you paid any attention to world football in the last year, you'd know that, like Arsenal, Juventus are incredibly 'stable' to say the least, the only club in Italy to be making money.
Might I also remind people, that a certain past hero also made clear his love for the club mere weeks before a £50 million move to Chelsea.
Like the Eds, I get incredibly frustrated, seeing, frankly, personic posts that would make any true supporter cringe.
RedNero.

I overheeard Ian Ayre on the phone on Monday at Melwood, I am unaware who was on the other end. But to me, it sounded like Liverpool's trans-atlantic owners.I was lucky enough to hear, "Well, Brendan's identified four transfer targets. Theo Walcott of Arsenal, Klass-Jan Huntelaar of Schalke, Daniel Sturridge of Chelsea and Shane Long of West Brom. In that order of importance." The conversation continued. Then I heard, "Maybe 35-40 million"

MELWOODCLEANER87

Haha have a day off mate.

I could have made a better story up myself.

FowlerGod.

Aww - I like this one!

Ya gotta love these rumours/fantasy snippets..

Owen

You made me laugh
Rumour of the day,week,month,year...

Ah Walter your at it again....lol...

Then what is the point of having suarez and borini?

Then your mum woke you up and told u your gonna be late for school

Yes I'm sure out chief exec always conducts such delicate calls in a main corridor next to the cleaner!

I knew John Bishop was a red, but didnt know he posted on here!

Os Red

You didn't by any chance hear next weeks lotto numbers or who did kill jfk??????

I am a plumber and i heard ian ayre this morning too when i was working in his house. he was on the phone to the owners because i heard ayre say things like blocked, clean, crap, done. i am assuming the questions were: is suarez move still on? blocked; is huntelaar any good? crap; has stirling got anyone else pregnant? clean...so far; hows downing doing? crap!!

You wasn't even at work on Monday, you rang in sick!

Melwoodcleanersboss.

.....................and then you woke up from your dream!

To be fair he said identified 4 targets it doesn't mean were getting them all! Plus we all know the interest in the first 3. Its probably right barring the figures at the end. Funny though

Well I'm bit confused by this post 'cos I'm a mechanic and I'm currently servicing Ian Ayre's Harley Davidson. When he dropped it off the other day his mobile rang and I overheard some of the conversation. I'm sure I heard the names ...

Love this site. Especially when a window is about to open....

I heard the other side say 40m?? no way!!

Fantastic. This is what this site used to be about....rumours, however far fetched!
Now this site is a Q&A to the eds about 'do you think such and such will join' and 'out of 10, who do you think we will sign'.
It's all questions. The old days were best when it was just sightings and rumours

How did you over hear Ian Ayre

LLLLOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to admit, this is the worst rumour I have ever heard!! {Ed002's Note - Trust me, it is the best today.}

If we get Shane Long, I will cry

06 Dec 2012 18:57:15
Keep em coming lad!

Kobi

Was he on the blower to Santa?

I actually believe you mate.

Wow , 18 fools actually believe this rubbish ! ha ha

This is what a rumors site is all about!

How can this be he was at my house on Monday for lunch then he stayed all day and played FIFA with me and my budgy

Total and utter genius this is!

I think you should stick to your day job of cleaning and stop eavesdropping. lol lol lol lol

trini_red

LOL It must be bad whee Ian Ayre cant afford an office where will we get 40mill is that euro or sterling...makes all the difference.!

Ian Ayre dosen't work at melwood his offices is in the city centre

Is that true Ian?
Cheers
Brendan

This is obviously rubbish, but absolutely hilarious at the same time!

That is awesome, bravo sir, bravo. That must have been a loud conversation - maybe one of Dom Jolly's phones from Trigger Happy.

This rumour is right up there with last year's 'I'm a High-class-window-cleaner- in-Fulham-and-I-saw-a-screensaver-of-the-Wirral-on-Clint-Dempseys-computer-whilst-I-was-washing-his-window!' LOL

This is more like it less Q & A

I miss the sterling report!,,,,,

06 Dec 2012 12:02:51
Hey ed002! Hope everything is good! I'm aware of what you've said regarding Danny Sturridge and Liverpool, but what's your gut feeling? Do you think that he'll be a LFC player come the 1st of february? Cheers, Scouserseb {Ed002's Note - Everything is pretty nifty today Scouserseb, thanks. I was discussing what the options are with someone in the Netherlands earlier in the week and I understand from him that Sturridge is open to the move if an acceptable offer were to be made to the club and to the player. The club has said that they will not stand in his way if the player wishes to move, but the feeling is that if it is something that if any potential deal starts to drags on through the transfer window then the chances of anything happening before the summer will diminish. Chelsea are actively seeking two forwards and do have the chance to bring loan players back to bolster the squad if need be - although a number of the players on loan do not have a break point in their loan agreements. So in terms of gut feeling, I think there is a good chance that a move could happen but right now the ball is with Liverpool to put the right offers forward.}

I hope we dont go for him

Delighted to hear that mate! Okey, so if Liverpool really want the deal to happen there is a very good chance that it will? As always your knowledgde and opinion is much appreciated! Scouserseb

Thanks for that ed.

I think if we bid in the region of £10m it will happen.

BigD

More money wasted if we buy Sturridge. I'd rather have Walcott playing up top myself.

I'll put money on it that he wont be a LFC player

With our current striker problems I'd take him if it's true. We've seen what he can do, sure he can be selfish but sometimes the best strikers have to be.

Plus this rumour is more believable than some of the others. Football fans are fickle, if he came and banged them in, he'd be the signing of the season in the eyes of the people that say he's not good enough.

06 Dec 2012 11:44:39
Hi Eds

Any news on the players that could be leaving in January?

Doni, Downing, Cole & Pacheco have all been linked with moves away. {Ed002's Note - Reasonably you can assume Doni gone. I think there has to be a chance that Joe Cole will leave if the finances can be resolved. If a replacement arrives, perhaps Downing could leave if there is an interested club. I would guess that Pacheco will no go in January.}

Joe Cole is a problem. There will be clubs interested, but no one will pay him £90k a week.

We'll be lucky to get £5-10m for Downing, the way he has been playing.

I hope we can offload both in order to help us bring someone else in.

Well that tells me he should play, i say drop henderson

Doni, cole and Pacheco all to leave. I expect Downing to stay until next summer

06 Dec 2012 21:35:09
you said Suarez wasnt coming mate...no wonder people give u abuse lol {Ed002's Note - That's fine, I did do that. What about the hundreds I have got right? How is the great god doing in comparison for you - why not share your wisdom on that? But no, you are simply another anonymous cocks*cker who drags the Liverpool fan base further down the food chain.}

06 Dec 2012 11:08:48
Liverpool & Chelsea have agreed a fee for Sturridge and are discussing personal terms now

LFC93

Whats the fee then....

BigD

Let's hope it's no more than he's worth. About £2m i'd say.

I thought no transfers where allowed to be agreed before january. {Ed002's Note - Transfers may be agreed between the clubs at any time but they cannot be completed and processed outside of a transfer window.}

06 Dec 2012 11:00:33
Hi eds, do You have any idea if we are interested in Gary Hooper? I haven't seen his name on here in a while. Not as many goals as usual this season and not sure if he would be able to play in front three without forcing luis wide. Non the less if we could get him cheap he would be another good option. {Ed002's Note - There certainly was interest but it does seem to gone quite - so perhaps waned with the interest elsewhere.}

06 Dec 2012 10:41:06
Hi Eds,

Seen in a report over here in ireland stating that Liverpool have been looking at signing Aiden McGeady. He is in the last year of his contract and they reckin is available and looking for a move back to the UK. Have use heard anything of this and would it be a possibility? {Ed002's Note - Both Zenit and Bayer Leverkusen showed interest in McGeady in the summer but the only recent interest I am aware of is from Fulham, who had the player watched in a game against Zenit (although he was on the bench for most of the game). If Spartak are willing to sell, and they might be as their season has not been good, I suspect that other clubs may show and interest, but for now I am not aware of interest from Liverpool at all.}

Please please dont sign McGeady. Such a frustrating player with very little end product. Stay away!

One of the most overrated players that has ever pulled on an Ireland shirt. He has pelnty of technique, that is without questions, but that is all he has. Constantly runs down blind alleys, has no idea what he wants to do thus his end product is woeful. Strikers have no idea how to make runs because they have no idea what kind fo service, if any, he will provide - Strikers need to know what their wing man is likely to do. Wouldnt touch him with a barge-pole, Assadi has the same technique and provides good end product so as regards Mcgeedy; Nein Danke.

Please god I hope this is not true. He is not no where near good enough.

I'll stop supporting if McGeady is signed. Not a hope - woeful player.

Would need to insert a swivel hinge on his neck as he plays with his head down and is very lacking in his vision. Stay away.

Please God no!!

06 Dec 2012 09:48:39
Any news on yilmaz of galatasaray? There were rumours not long ago, he is absolutely killing it this season!
Sam {Ed002's Note - Burak Yilmaz has attracted interest in the past nine months from Sevilla, Spurs, Fulham, Dortmund, Beyer Leverkusen and Newcastle. There are also unconfirmed rumours of interest from Liverpool dating from as long ago as early June. Lazio and Lokomotiv Moscow have both spoken with the player after the clubs agreed that they would meet the asking price from Galatasaray - but I would think that has now risen with his recent performances. Atletico Madrid are very keen to discuss a move for the player but I suspect that a move before the summer is looking unlikely.}

06 Dec 2012 09:09:13
ed is there any chance we bid for honda??
i would forgive BR for his signings in the past and also in the future like sturridge and ince..
honda = carzola = silva = rooney = mata

one signing will bring us back where we belone, he is truly the playmaker we need..

i would alos like if we sell downing and bring mertens or turan...

whats ur say ed? {Ed002's Note - I see no reason not to bid for Honda but perhaps thought could be given to seeking to agree to negotiating a deal in the summer that would allow him to join next January as an out of contract player. I am not aware that there is any interest at this time though - but will see if I can get some confirmation one way or another.}

Ed002, would you not be suprised to see us interested in honda again? {Ed002's Note - It seems to be the longest running of the Liverpool (and Arsenal) related "rumours". Honda was close to leaving in the summer with a move to Lazio only failing at the last minute and I understand that Lazio would still be interested at teh right price. He has had a bit of a strange season in that he has been scoring goals but his performances have been criticised. If you were to ask if I expect Honda to move to Liverpool in Janauray the answer would be no.}

Ed..you said a move in january is not possible..
but y so?..is that becoz we dont have funds?. or not interetsed?
erriksen, 20 mill, willian 20 mill..
this guy is exact what we want..an excellent left foot, match winner, free kick specialist...he is the link suarez is dreaming for...
i dont think suarez would benifit from getting a striker in jan...he needs skilfull players like mata, hazzard, silva, carzola..for the link up play..
its so stratnge we are still not going for the right person..
for 3 season we just ahd one striker up front torres and we scored plenty of goals..
what we need is a player who is much more than a striker..
honda fits it perfectly...

whats your thought? {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure what I wrote was clear - and I did not say a "move in January is not possible" or anything of the sort. I don't understand the references to Eriksen or Willian either. I also explained that I am not aware of any interest from Liverpool at this time.}

I gotta say unless honda is to old or something, he is defenetly good enough, i remember last time denmark played japan, and he single handedly owned us big time, and from the games ive seen so faar hes been realy realy good, however i dont get to see enough to know about wether he playes consistantly.

Liverpool have been linked with a £12m January move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda, 26.

Full story: Daily Star

Best News ive heard for a while i rate Honda very Highly and with his versatility and eye for goal he would be a absolute steal of a price at £12m considering who we have been linked with recently.

Eds do you know of any interest or is it just paper talk.

BigD {Ed002's Note - I don't know of anything other than speculation. Sorry.}

Last time I saw Honda play he was playing a central role, can he play as a forward or does he play as a centre midfielder in that case I don't think he is particularly needed

What about some young some south americans. What are our scouts doing over there. Haven't seen any players come over in a while. Should be getting some into the academy and stop the spanish clubs nicking them all {Ed002's Note - A considerable amount of effort was put in to looking at a specific list of South American players in teh spring and early summer. These were discussed, to a certain extent, around July time on these pages. Sadly some were rather less than keen on the matter being discussed. So taking a look at the archives around July might be a good idea.}

Liverpool to lodge bid for Southamptons Adam Lallana watch this space.

He is a very good player and if they go down which looks likely then if we put in a good offer then who knows, problem is though he is there captain and come through the ranks so it will be hard to prise him away.

BigD

If you want to waste your time, then lodge a bid.

He is not for sale.

He grew up with Saints, and stayed with them through administration and relegation.

Saints will not be relegated.

You can't afford him.

But, of course you are Liverpool, so everyone will beat a path to your door with cut price deals. LOL

I have been working back out in France for the last week and always get the Eurostar from St Pancreas to Lille where we stay. The guys who I work with are season ticket holders at Lille and claim that Liverpool scouts have been at the last 2 home games, who could we be watching? First name I thought of was Kalou due to Brendans Chelsea connections but Cherif my colleague is insisting that scouts have been confirmed as being at the stadium. Any thoughts eds?

ST PANCREAS? Plainly you're not a medical student then if you can't tell the station from the bodily organ!

The

Well spotted my friend the beauty of typing on the IPad it auto corrects! Try it typing Pancras it suggests pancreas! Lille thing is a straight up rumour I heard from them though no idea if it's true or who we would be looking at....

Probably scouting for a team to palm Joe Cole off on.

*Warning Imminent 'Arghh's' From Ed's*

Liverpool have been linked with a £12m January move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda, 26.

Full story: Daily Star

Ed's you know it's started when you see ''the Honda rumours'' recirculated. Brace yourselves in, it's going to be rough; for all of us.

If you see Arda Turan linked with Liverpool, then locks your doors, and ration your tea bags immediately. :) {Ed001's Note - if only!}

Those who have read my post will know that I absolutely love this guy he's the "perfect footballer" be a dream if we signed him!

Have we been linked with Aguero yet? Saves time when you copy and paste rumours! Lol
Couldn't agree with this post more!

good evening eds do you know of any interest in Leicester city's martyn waghorn he looks like a Liverpool player to me young,strong and a great touch whats your thoughts thanks {Ed001's Note - none that I know of. I know he looked good as a kid, but never quite got going until recently, so it would be a big gamble to take to move for him.}

hi eds and fans a queston for the eds , what is the price of llorente and would he be available in jan? would we be a place he can go to, I mean is there a lot of interest in him from other clubs? thanks
hibsylfc {Ed001's Note - he is available, no idea what price they will accept, though they were asking for around the 25m mark in the summer. I would expect a much reduced price would be possible with just a few months left on his contract. There is a lot of interest, I think it likely he will end up in Italy myself. Though a lot depends on who is sold, as teams looking at him all have a need to raise funds.}

Said he is going nowhere till the summer

Watched Bilbao v Deportivo while we were over there on a stag do a few weeks ago, and Llorente looked like he'd been on the beer with us for 3 days. Don't know if it was just cos he's not happy but he was terrible.
Munaian on the other hand was amazing!
