Hi Eds.

Whats the situation with AC Milan's Ignazio Abate?

Thanks.
And have a great day!

Believable3 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - He might well be moving in the summer.}

Any interest from Liverpool?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No. People seem to be expecting the entire squad to be replaced again. Hopeless.}

The interest is from Arsenal, I believe. to replace Sagna should he go

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer de sciglio, young quick and capable on both sides, abate has dropped in my ratings over the past few years anyway

Agree2 Disagree0

I would be quite happy with Abate. however he isn't any cheaper that GlenJo & no real upside BC of age either. going to be interesting to see how Rodgers sorts out the fullback problem

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Abate will not be moving to Liverpool.}

Hi, this is the first time using this so I'm not sure whether or not I'm doing it right. Anyway I was wondering about various players.
1) Are we interested in Micah Richards?
2) if so would we want him as a RB or CB?
3) Is there any chance in getting Luke Shaw?
4) Is there any interest in Höwedes at Schalke?
5) Same applies to Subotić (Dortmund)?
6) Are we or anyone else looking at Varane (Madrid)?
7) Are we interested in Icardi at Inter?
8) Raul Garcia at Atletico looks great is he on our radar?
9) Again at Atletico Diego Godin would be a fantastic move, any chance?
10) finally & another Atleti player. Are we interested in Felipe Luis?

Thanks & sorry for all the questions

{Ed002's Note - I don't have time to trawl through long lists of questions but I will answer a few. Richards: I am not aware of interest from Liverpool in Micah Richards right now. Given Richards likely price, wages and history of injury problems, I am rather surprised that there is interest still from Milan, Galatasaray and Newcastle. One English club is interested in Varane still but it is not Liverpool. None of the other players are currently or interest or moving to Liverpool although there has been a interest in a couple of them in the past.}

Hi eds. what's happening to julian draxler? it was a lot noice about him in the recent summer, now not so much. Is it a player we are considering?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I expect a deal might be brokered in the summer and Arsenal remains the most likely destination if he moves this year. Another option to be offered by Bayern Munich and AC Milan is a pre-payment and a one year loan back to Schalke. I think the chance of a move to Italy very unlikely. Liverpool has shown no interest.}

Good morning Eds and fellow Reds

Tricky game today I think. Please let's not get all negatitive and slate the players if we don't get all 3 points.

Eds, rumours this morning linking us with Coentrao from Madrid. Any truth or non what so ever?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Monaco and Juventus spoke with Madrid about Coentrao in January and Spurs have shown an interest but a chance of taking him last summer makes it look like that interest has waned. However, Real Madrid asked the player to stay until the end of the season so nothing happened in January. Certainly Jorge Mendes spoke with Liverpool in January and at that time both said they were not interested. The player would not object to a move to Italy should the opportunity arise and Juventus may give him that opportunity, perhaps as part of a package deal that could see Morata, Coentrau and Di Maria go in an exchange for Vidal or Pogba if Real Madrid push hard enough. The player has said that without guaranteed game he would like to move and interest will still be there from Manchester United, and as Liverpool are looking for a left-back, perhaps they will bid for the player.

It has been suggested that with Jorge Mendes in the UK at the end of March he was talking to Manchester United about Carvalho and Liverpool about Coentrau, but is wide of the mark as he was talking to another club about two players.}

Eds this would imply Madrid aren't too fussed about letting Di Maria go? Do we have any interest?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - PSG may well return with an other offer for Di Maria and it is possible that Arsenal and Manchester United might follow up on previous interest. The player would not object to a move to Italy and the opportunity might arise. Liverpool has no interest.}

Reports today stating we are speaking with Coentrao's agent. Fee believed to be 11.5 million, which for me is a good price if true.

I think we may well see Coates, Wisdom, Robinson, Kelly, Enrique, Toure and one of Agger/Skrtle leave. This could bring us somewhere in region of 30-35 million (dependant on a 15 million fee for one of Agger/Skrtle).

This would still leave us with a defence of:

F. Coentrao.
D. Agger or Skrtle.
M. Sahko.
T. Illori.
J. Flanaghan.
G. Johnson.
Plus other youngsters Mcglaughlin etc.

We would still have significant funds for other players also. Hope it's true and that we are doing our business early before the world cup starts.

No way will we allow Kelly & Wisdom to leave as they are both young and English players yes fair enough Kelly has struggled with injures but if we can keep him fit then we all agree he is a good player, Wisdom is a very good player in my view who is doing very well at Derby and if they get promotion then i'd expect us to let him stay there for another year to get more experience, I do agree that Skrtel or Agger will be sold as we just paid x amount on Sakho and he is a top notch player who will not sit on the bench, Coentrao for the price if right is a real steel as there's not many quality left backs I can think of for that money available.

Young McLaughlin is going to be our right back for about ten years the lad is very good playing very well in the championship smacked the crossbar with a header yesterday he could be a goal threat like Coleman is for Everton imo.

Agree0 Disagree1

This would only leave us with three first team center backs! Can't see this happening. One of Agger or Skrtel may leave but Wisdom will be going nowhere and Kelly will most likely be given more time to prove he can make it after his injury. Kelly was a standout performer under Kenny, even grabbing a goal against Chelsea on our March to League Cup success in 2012. I for one hope that he gets backs to his best and stays with us.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's been made clear that we are keeping faith with Kelly, BR has said they purposefully aren't rushing him back into playing given his injuries. I think it was only in the summer he signed a new contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would suspect that only Coates and Robinson would be 100% for sale and moving this summer. Neither are good enough. Agger and Skrtel I would expect we'll listen to any offers and all the rest I'd expect to stay
