Ings free in a year. although @ 29yo might not be what we need.

Still gutted he had all his set backs whilst with us.

This won’t be popular on here but I’d prefer a fit Ings and his undeniable finishing skills over Bobby and then Bobby either as no 10 providing assists or rotating with Ings.

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 21:00:42
I could be wrong but I think city have an interest in Ings. Can any of the Ed’s shed some light on which clubs are interested in Ings?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Try the Southampton page.}

05 Jul 2021 21:12:35
Don’t think they’ll rotate Kane often. If he does he’ll end up like Ake ie back up so may as well rejoin us and rotate with Bobby. I’d be highly surprised if we sign him though.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 21:58:37
If Kane goes, I guess Spurs could do far worse than Danny Ings.

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 23:16:19
I don't see klopp looking backwards with Ings.

Agree4 Disagree0

06 Jul 2021 00:55:45
Ings is a top bloke and a good player, but he’s also very injury prone, so it’s a no regrettably.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jul 2021 06:06:44
Imagine signing Ings konate and sanchez after the injury ravaged season we have had🤣
I mean edwards has done great but this will be scissorhands moment for him.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jul 2021 09:40:41
Konate is not injury prone he had one bad injury and a few niggles on return just ask VVD will no doubt have this year.

Long time since I posted on here. but a question for ed002.I take it from reading the posts by you. bissouma is our no 1 target to replace Gini but finances may see us go with the cheaper. sanches.? I would love to see Bissouma sign for lfc. reckon he could give us a new dimension in midfield.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - there seems to be a consensus the Bissouma would be a great option.}

Ed’s, long time admirer of the site (keep up the good work etc) . With the link to McGinn, any chance Robbo had a word in the Scotland camp? Think he’d be a solid signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - As you can imagine, I really have no idea what the two players discussed. Obviously if "Robbo" is now handling Liverpool transfers he might well of pretended to be Klopp and wobbled his tongue around the mouth and ear of McGinn.}

06 Jul 2021 00:51:57
That’s not something I’d like to see Ed. Don’t get me wrong to each his own but I’d rather see Jennifer Anniston’s tongue around the mouth and ear Courtney Cox. But that’s just me.

Hi Ed002, been looking for information about attacking players on the site and other than the interest in Malen there isn't a whole lot floating around about potential incomings in that area.

So ignoring Donyell Malen are there any other players who Liverpool are looking to bring in to replace that of Shaqiri, Minamino or Origi potentially?

Many thanks :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Minamino doesn't need replacining. Origi might well stay as the asking price put off one interested side. Shaqiri will go but there may be sufficient cover in AOC and Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.

Liverpool have looked at others but need to prioritise because of the funds and there will be a push to do more with the players already at the club.}

05 Jul 2021 15:16:51
Ah ok thanks for this, I suppose the priority will be the midfield and then, dependant on sales and available funds, an attacker could then be bought.

Makes a lot of sense.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 17:15:59
any news on where Sharqiri will go Ed?
i like him, be a shame to see him leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Lazio are keen.}

05 Jul 2021 17:54:58
I would move Firmino back into midfield and make a new striker the priority.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 18:11:45
It is an option to consider Stoneage. In certain games I think playing the front 4 is a good choice. It’s also looking like we might only be able to afford one more signing.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 19:49:20
Firmino started his career as a defensive midfielder apparently so it’s plausible.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 21:03:46
We already play a front 4 with front three and Jota esp vs ultra defensive teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 13:24:56
Hi Eds, I believe liverpool are interested in Grealish.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would doubt it JPW, only clubs who can afford him will be in for jack mate..

05 Jul 2021 14:16:39
We are interested in mbappe too hehe. It happening is whole another story.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 14:44:20
I’m “interested” in Mbappe, doesn’t mean he’s going to come down the park and have a kick around with me lol.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it adam..

05 Jul 2021 14:57:55
I'm still interested in Pamela Anderson and if the interest is mutual my zimmer frame is at the ready and I'll be right there. *

*Eventually.

05 Jul 2021 14:47:22
to be fair ed025, I am interested in Margot Robbie, doesn't mean it will happen!

05 Jul 2021 12:59:21
Question for any ed,

Will we sign
1. Renato Sanchez
2. Saul Niguez (spelling)
3. Bissoyma
4 . None of the above.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Sanches and Bissouma.}

05 Jul 2021 14:31:16
Have we placed a bid or have asked for asking price for any of midfileders. surely club would have 4 5 choices for a poistion. but we seem to have been linked with atleast 10 mids.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The club have spoken with agents of some midfield players.}

05 Jul 2021 15:05:24
Cheers ed. Have a right good day me old mucker.

05 Jul 2021 09:27:18
Renato Sanches rumours are gathering a lot of pace this morning. Apparently some Portuguese Journo has said he'll be joining Liverpool for €35m.

I guess his wages are only a third of what Saul will be asking for.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2021 09:45:22
Yep i think we have agreed a fee with lille to sign him. Some very good sources are claiming this now.

I really think its a bit of a luxury signing and he is not a very injury free player either. Also Does this mean it is the end for keita?
Apparently the fee is only 25 million. That cannot be true.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 09:48:16
Yh but he's less 1/ 10th of the player so it makes no sense.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 10:37:46
I would be very concerned about his injury record and his ability to cope with the workload of a Klopp midfield. However, he has the raw materials.

Given Gini's consistent availability, Keita/ Ox non-availability and Hendo/ Fab's muscle injuries, this would be a pretty big gamble.

I can see the logic of Bissouma, Neuhaus or Tielemans - their injury records have been impeccable.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 10:38:05
Sanches over Camavinga? Sounds like a bit of a gamble by the club if true.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are totally different players and Liverpool has no interest in Camavinga.}

05 Jul 2021 10:59:42
Akira, Keita is poor and lazy. No longer concerned about him and if I had my way, he would be the first one to be flogged off even before Origi cos at least Origi actually gives a flip about the club, it's fans and the city which is why he is loved by the whole club and esp in team mates and manager.

As for Sanches, I would not mind him signing for us and if h does, be sure Klopp and his mad geniuses must have run the rule over him. I however, do not expect him to start right away as he will be eased in which is the way Klopp does things and it has worked. We shall see.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 11:22:19
I'm completely at peace with just trusting Klopp and his team at this point, if Sanches signs then I'm all for it!

Only niggle is whether Kieta can get shipped out to accommodate him, don't want to be a hater but I sense he'll just take up a space in the squad and I'm quite happy with Jones taking that spot.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - I am starting to think the injury records in the player database at LFC is broken, with the signing of Konate and now, as per the posters, the probable signing of Sanches. Weird that considering the fact that LFC's season was thrown off the rails by injury issues last season.

05 Jul 2021 11:41:37
Ed, are we really signing him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - people here seem to think so.}

05 Jul 2021 11:59:02
I wonder how Naby would respond to being shunted down the pecking order. Tantrum or pull his finger out? His career is in danger of fading fast, from great hope to squad lurker.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 11:12:39
Too many stories floating around making out that such and such a signing is immanent . I won't be holding my breath over Sanches joining anytime soon and believe the ed's call that it will be Biss or Florian N, unless someone else is moving on and needs replacing .
Good to know re Camavinga Ed, thought he'd be on most peoples radars at that price.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 11:31:13
Ed002, would love to hear your thoughts on Sanches. You seem to have a good insight into French football. Do you think it's a sensible signing if Liverpool can make a deal happen? And do you think he can be a success at Liverpool? I can't say i've seen him play at club level since he left Swansea.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Renato Sanches (CM) Lille are happy to let the player move on due to the constant muscle injuries he suffers; they wanted €20M cash or €30M with payments spread out although that could increase if Jorge Mendes can find multiple bidders. Klopp has praised him in the past and he would be a more affordable replacement for Wijnaldum, but not the preferred option for Liverpool. There has been a discussion with Arsenal and he will likely be offered to Spurs as well. Prior interest of Wolves will likely have left with NES.

The concern would be injury issues and, although talented, he is inconsistent.}

05 Jul 2021 12:19:48
Nobody should care about how Naby responds. There's no excuse for a player not giving it his all.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 12:53:01
Cheers Ed. Feels similar to the Konate transfer in that he's a very highly rated young player who is available for a relatively low fee due to injury concerns. Thanks for the feedback.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 13:22:22
It doesn’t it well with me Ed002, not that I’m relevant in all of this but as a supporter…Our campaign was derailed by injuries last season

With the clubs finances not in great shape, If RS were to sign, would that signal the end of our interest in Bissouma or Neuhaus?

Cheers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Unless someone else were to leave, I would think yes.}

05 Jul 2021 14:29:12
Ok thanks ed002.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 14:35:01
Chronic muscle injuries can mean a couple things. Usually it's that the player has a physical impediment that makes them prone to them, or they are not committed to eating right and training properly and push themselves too hard while in "poor" health. Neither bodes well for Sanches and Liverpool as a fit, especially when you consider that Klopp prefers a small squad with players that carry a heavy work load. This would be quite a project.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 15:39:15
Following on from what you said mftonjes, I remember reading that Nat Phillips became vegan during his time at Stuttgart after being advised this could help with him having issues with regular swelling and niggles due to this. Could be wrong on a couple of details there but I wanted to follow on potentially to the eds, do clubs now and in particular Liverpool place a stronger emphasis on specialized individual diets if there are signs of consistent injuries or maybe even individualized training routines to either strengthen support muscles in problem areas or in helping to prevent stress on problem areas?

I think I remember ed001 (could be wrong) a couple of years back saying that while this side of the game was developing it was still quite far behind a lot of other top level sports I was wondering is there now more emphasis on this?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes, Klopp brought in Mona to develop individual diet plans and meals for the players. Lots of other clubs do similar things now and it is becoming a very normal part of the game. It used to be left to the players, but that is changing thankfully.}

05 Jul 2021 22:08:52
Lewandowski doesn't eat meat on the day of a match as your body wouldn't have it broken down. Clearly works wonders for him, cracking player!

05 Jul 2021 07:52:17
Leeds signed Jack Harrison for 11 Mill and we're trying to get upwards of 15 for Wilson.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2021 08:07:30
Sold Brewster for more and Wilson’s a full international. Edwards has more than proven himself.

Harrison is a better player than Wilson he'd be a full international too if we has Welsh.

Genuinely don't know why you support Liverpool Salah. You seem to hate everything about the club.

He is a negative nigel, don't surround yourself by these people.

Agree1 Disagree0

Because he thinks Harrison is better than Wilson? Not every player we have is world class.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 10:07:33
Harrison very likely wanted to go back to Leeds so that will have helped. The clubs must have a good relationship too which would have helped.

Can't compare his price to others like Wilson in my opinion as £11M is a crazy price for Harrison. He is worth double that. Maybe he had just 12 months left on his contract?

05 Jul 2021 10:28:48
Duplicate accounts? Maybe sign out of one before spouting your negativity.

Agree7 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 11:01:58
Who cares what other teams do and how much they buy or sell their fringe players? You can have disagreements BUT these posts just smacks of unnecessary negativity that it is not worth even paying attention to. Grow up, man.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 11:42:37
Sad to think that some folks spend their days trawling the 'net to find crap stories to bring on here so they can be negative about them.
Never understood that need.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 13:02:29
Another example of Liverpool pricing a player out of a move. Surely it would make more sense to get what we can and get wages off the books and to free up space in the squad for players of quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 13:14:43
It isn’t even a debate that Harrison is better than Wilson. Like he said, if Harrison was Welsh he would probably be on 50 caps by now.
