Ed2 what do you make of josh mceacheran's chances of making it at chelsea or anywhere else in the prem? I remember him coming on years back in cl and impressing but just saw he's at vitesse now. Still promise with him or no?

{Ed002's Note - He will move on next summer I would think.}

Hi Eds Dourtmund are struggling at the moment. Is it possible Liverpool or any other teams will look in to buying some of the bigger players (reus, hummels, aubameyang etc.) that may want to leave.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - lots of teams are looking, there is a very good chance those 3 do move on in January or the summer. I don't expect us to be in the mix in January though mate and it is too soon to say about the summer.}

Hummels sure would be nice. Hummels, Sakho, Lovren, Ilori would be good enough options for next season right?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I can't say I have seen enough of Hummels to judge him properly. The times I have seen him, he didn't really impress though.}

Hi Eds does it look like we will be able to offload anyone in Jan ? It's ok saying certain individuals are up for grabs but is anyone taking any interest in anyone ?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I think Lucas may leave.}

05 Dec 2014 16:27:20
I would be really disappointed with that. Lucas is the best DM we currently have and is ideal for us playing at the base of a diamond.

Agree3 Disagree0

Hi Eds, with Lucas having regained his place in the team lately, you still see him leaving? I hope we have another holding midfielder lined up if that's the case.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I was under the impression all the Liverpool fans wanted him out. Liverpool has no shortage of players already.}

I hope not, Lucas has proved vital to the team. I understand we need to lose a few players but hopefully we've realised he's the best we have at protecting our shaky back 5!

Agree2 Disagree0

Well this Liverpool fan most certainly does not want him sold unless a suitable replacement is signed.

Agree1 Disagree0

The have a shortage of DM players ed

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed what that was and I can only speak for myself, is that I was resigned to Rodger's resilience in not playing Lucas and given that, didn't see a reason not to sell him for him and for the team. But in all fairness Lucas leaving when he had proved to be this valuable is something BR deserves in my opinion. He will think twice, a third time and a forth in the future before dismissing a player over favouritism.

Agree2 Disagree0

The only thing that worries me with this is if he does go and the rumours are true regarding almost all the rest of the defence leaving next year then we will have another summer of spending and another "new team" to bed in again . No consistency

hi eds ! did Liverpool approach demba ba ? as reported in few papers !

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. Demba Ba is a risk due to problems with his knees and he is certainly not up to two games a week. He is pretty much uninsurable and it would take a low/free-ish transfer fee and wages at a minimum to make it viable in my view. AC Milan and Monaco are interested after an issue arose in Turkey.}

After the club walked away from remy, I would imagine we'd run away from Demba Ba.

I see a lot of posts on martin ødegaard, so i thought I would share this:

1. He has been promised a 5 year deal and first team football with Real Madrid.

2. As the eds put it, he isn't close to play for Liverpools first team.

Cocl: why would he then choose us?!

3. Yes, he and his father is HUGE Liverpool supporters, but that will not matter when they choose, because as people say here in norway, his advisors is doing a awsome job getting the best deal for his development ( not for money or status. ).

4. Him self and his father has stated that it will not be in interesting even if he isn't promised first team football.

5. Liverpool have been talking with his family since early 2012.

6. Liverpools european scout Jørgensen, has been on him since 2012.
And his friend and old team mate Ohr who played together at Strømsgodset is a huge Ødegaard and Liverpool supporter and stated a couple of days ago: I hope and I believe that he will sign for Liverpool.

So who knows. As long as he doesn't end up at united or any other sc*** team.

I find it a little difficult to see which Galactaco a 15 year old would replace with such a promise of first team football. I hope, for his sake, he signs for a lower tier club and develops and that he realises his Liverpool dream once he is ready.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid have their sales and purchases already pretty much mapped out for the next two windows. It is likely Martin Odegaard will also join recentlty arrived Mink Peeters in the U19s.}

I think this ship is sailed to some high school.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well, Its a difficult choice he has to make, that's for sure.
And just for the record, its not my own view i wrote above, its what's told to us Norwegians. Not gossip, but thru interviews.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - by the way, Igor Biscans Boots, Real Madrid have a B team that he would be fully capable of getting a starting role with in the Spanish second flight.}

I believe you completely Ed.
I just feel its strange for Martin to havw said to Norwegian media, and his Father said the same to norwegian media AND Tor-Kristian Karlsen ( who has given his father advice since his father will represent him ) has said that its not even considerable for him to join a club where he isn't going to play first team football.

Agree1 Disagree0

'Promised first team football by real madrid'. What a load of rubbish being spewed out by Madrid if they really promised that.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you obviously don't understand what they mean by that, as they have a B team which is where he would get first team football, under Zidane.}

If he's off to madrid, why are we entertaining him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - because he hasn't committed to joining them yet, so he could still go elsewhere.}

Hi eds, can you please list the teams interested in Palermo striker Paulo Dybala and also what are your views on him? He is very highly rated in Serie A? Thanks?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Palermo are looking to have Dybala sign a new contract but have made it clear that they will sell for €50M - a fee which will put off most clubs. Arsenal has a declared interest but I suspect the fee would put them off.}

According to the TMW, Liverpool are on verge of signing the Brazilian goalkeeper Neto from Fiorentina.

The transfer fee remains undisclosed so far, while it has been claimed that the salary of the 25-years old player could be £30,000-per-week.
