Camavainga available for €30m? Absolute steal and he'd be home grown eventually too. Not 19 until November.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed0666's Note - wow that is a steal. We have a very good relationship with his agent also. I’m surprised Real & PSG aren’t all over this?

05 Jul 2021 00:16:02
I can understand Sancho because we have Salah there and Elliott returning but I’d be very disappointed if we sat on our hands again and let United get him when we badly need a midfielder. I thought they’d be looking for almost triple the €30m. If we want a crack at the title we need to get moving Klopp would want new players to have a good pre season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - this guy is just pure potential but someone
Like bissouma is premiership tried and tested

05 Jul 2021 00:25:12
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm Ed0666 me old pal🤔.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - no mate I think he’s gonna be a superstar but at the moment he’s pure potential. We have a good relationship with his agent whose also Gareth Frank Bales agent. And i thought Real Madrid were his chosen destination and it was pretty much assumed he would end up there. If he goes to United for 30 mill they’ve got a steal. I can see him going there because his buddy Pogba would help him assimilate.

05 Jul 2021 01:09:38
Maybe Camavinga is going to United to help Pogba finally assimilate.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 03:07:45
You won't be able to touch camavinga under 100 million. I think that 30 million is minimum part payment plan of 4 installments that they would accept.

He's out of contract in the summer and has absolutely no intention of signing a new one as per several different reports. It is of no real surprise that they are looking to cash in on him. Cracking player and a great buy for whoever he ends up getting him.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 08:55:48
That’s mad if United get a clean run at him for €30m, you mention pogba and chums but I can’t see pogba being there past this season.

The lad could do worse than going to Dortmund to develop. Seem's like a good logical step before going to warm the bench at a giant club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - Dortmund can only develop so many young players at once. They already have a potential star in midfield in the form of Jude Bellingham. You can't have a team full of U-20s only eh..

05 Jul 2021 10:58:11
Would he have played with Konate at international level? Maybe they can buddy up at Liverpool?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2021 09:04:47
I can't see how we don't get involved if he's available. Need a Gini replacement and one becomes available at the right price and age we have no excuses. He wouldn't be an instant starter but great depth at 6 and 8 then long term he absolutely would take over. Still loads of time left and usually I don't concern myself with it but have to say im a bit worried this window. Was hoping we'd go out and show real ambition to try win another league/ CL. Fingers crossed we pull 2 or 3 good players out of the bag.

Renato Sanches being linked over the last 24 hours. Any truth to it?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jul 2021 10:53:39
Maybe, maybe not. Who knows? Might only be paper talk along with all the rest that are linked.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed014's Note - he was linked with Arsenal too and I’m seriously hoping thats not true!

04 Jul 2021 12:21:16
I have been told that he wants silly money so I doubt that’s going to happen, I’m not sure he warrants it but he did look good in the euros.

04 Jul 2021 12:38:36
Never buy players on the back of a tournament you could end up with diao and diouf.

Agree8 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 14:05:26
I’m pretty sure he’s as injury prone as Keita. Which should ring alarm bells.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 16:13:56
So many targets being named, you just know its a big game of smoke and Mirrors. No way they are risking buying a player who has already failed once in the EPL and who has injury concerns. This is just more hot air to distract from what's really going on.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 16:26:47
Spaceman, Salah failed once in the premier league, so let’s not pretend they’d not consider it. I think failing when you’re a youngster isn’t really a fair judgment, but his injury issues and other off field distractions should be enough for a hard pass.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - what off-field distractions mate? Is he having coitus with horses? Is he fraternizing with pygmies? We all make questionable life decisions fella. It seems as if he’s knuckles down and started playing football to a decent level again. I’ve not seen him play since Swansea but edwards and klopp do their due diligence on every players background and believe me if he was a wank*r he wouldn’t be a Liverpool player.

04 Jul 2021 17:16:05
I’ve said this a few weeks ago. People are simply judging Renato by his shocking Swansea loan spell, when he was a child who lost his way. Since then he has been vital to Lilles title win and Portugal’s central midfield and has shown why he was signed for so much money by Munich.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 17:19:05
Apparently when he was at Munich he was out clubbing every night, would turn up hungover to training, was over weight and out of condition and refused to learn German. If anything he sounds like the archetypal English footballer from the seventies and eighties! If he’s cut that out, fine. But he’s still injury prone. The one thing you could say about Wijnaldum is that he’s almost never injured.

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 19:04:14
Renato Sanches (CM) - his agent is currently trying to persuade Klopp that his client has in fact never even been to Wales. Interest depends on Klopp being convinced as klopp describes the player he saw in Wales as F#€@ing terrible.

Also to add, negotiations with klopp are difficult at this time as he is multi tasking on his mobile with other agents while still chasing Malen through tulip fields outside Rotherdam. He almost caught him when Malen took a sandwich break but Malen took off again once klopp got within 100 feet.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 21:43:23
People who say that he was vital to Lille's title - did you watch any of Lille's season? Or speak to any Lille fans? Or have you just seen that he played a lot for Lille and assumed he was vital?

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 22:42:44
If he played a lot he was vital, no different to Kabak and Phillips was to us last season. I haven't seen much of him so I can offer no opinion if he is good enough or not, I will just leave Klopp and Edwards to signing and stick to screaming in whichever emotion is appropriate when/ if he plays :)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 23:33:59
Nowhere near Liverpool standard.

05 Jul 2021 07:47:31
I've just finished reading "paper talk" on the Sky app. Different papers on there have us linked to Saul, Sanches, Otavia (gathering pace apparently) and Coutinho. I'd bet my house we sign none of those 4.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 08:50:23
2 more transfers this summer and we are good to go
For me Bissouma in midfield although Neuhaus was my preferred option but that ship has sailed
Malen up front, lightning quick and knows where the net is
Both will add value to the team and both will have a substantial sell on value as per the FSG model.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

04 Jul 2021 09:26:49
I would be happy with that as well, but I would be happier I think with one signing if it was for a truly top player. A midfielder as good as VVD, Salah, Allison etc. Put the money into signing who Klopp thinks will be the best. Barello for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 10:36:11
A MF as good as VVD, Alisson and Salah. his names is Thiago.

Agree7 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 10:42:51
I am not getting into this debate again but let’s hope you are right LFC. Thiago needs to prove it on the pitch no matter who he is playing alongside.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 13:50:03
i'd go for one more signing but one that is for the first team and not the squad and I'd go for a top class 20 goal a season striker that fits our formation and would replace Firminho in the first 11. If we sell Keita, OX and Grucic and have the money then go for the midfilder but we'd still have Fab, Henderson, Thiago, Jones, Milner, Shaq.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 14:07:25
War machine, a midfield of Jones, Milner, Shaq would not win any games. Cold hard truth, we do need another midfielder as the lack of quality after Henderson and Fabinho as the starters is quite alarming.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 14:26:02
Hence I’d buy one if ox, Keita. And Grujic were sold. We are heavily stacked with midfielders and can easily cover injuries. If Salah is injured who’s going to score the goals. A striker is more important imo and needs to be a starter not a squad player. If we have £50m to spend I’d buy a £50m striker not a £25m striker and a £25m midfielder.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 15:44:19
I agree with you to a certain extent but a £50 million striker is not always better than a £25 million striker. Look at man utd, probably the most expensive team ever assembled and the likelihood is they're not going to do an awful lot. Sir Alf Ramsey once famously said I never play my best players but I always play my best team.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - PSG and Man City say hello (to the Man Utd comment)

04 Jul 2021 16:21:41
Thing is war machine, none of those players did adequately cover during our injury crisis last season, when both Henderson and Fabinho weren’t playing in midfield we looked as soft as sh*te, teams just played through us. Just imagine if we lost Fabinho and Henderson for any extended period. We’d be done for as none of the rest are remotely capable of playing a disciplined anchor role. And in Keita’s case he’s not remotely capable of playing with any competency whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 16:40:24
Agree with you Vx4 but I think we are at more risk if Salah gets injured re goal scoring as look at the scoring output from rest of the team. If edwards and Klopp can pull 2 hats out of the bag then fill the 2 positions. If it’s 1, I go for striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2021 19:30:13
That’s why I’m disappointed we didn’t sign Daka, I think he’d be great signing in that respect and wouldn’t have broken the bank. You’re quite right that if we lose Salah we lose a huge amount of our goals.

04 Jul 2021 20:31:28
Yves Bissouma (CM) interest pending klopps request to Premier League to switch to 5 a side during African nations.

04 Jul 2021 21:32:32
Afcon would mean we miss Mané and Salah for 2 games max. The winter break overlaps it.
It’s not as much an issue as some think.

£250k a week similar to what Thiago was on at Bayern. Still very very doubtful.
