Hope everyone is keeping safe and save during the lockdown.

Eds - has there been any development with regards to left back? Are we looking to give Larouci and Lewis more opportunities or do we have a different plan?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any efforts to sign another left back but with the youngsters you mention and James Milner signing a new contract and Joe Gomez being fit, there should be plenty of cover available already.}

Cheers Ed. Appreciate the swift answer.

There was interest in a young French left back from PSG I think. Has that interest ended?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware - I have no idea who you mean.}

Sorry it was Toulouse. Mathieu Goncalves.

{Ed002's Note - Someone has been teasing you - this was dealt with months ago.}

Let the young players compete for the role. Need to look at ways of saving money.

Good day Ed and Reds.
BBC Sport are running an article that clubs opposed to 'Project Restart' are prepared to play at neutral venues if the threat of relegation is lifted.
If this is correct, this seems telling for me.
It sort of feels as if the multitude of clubs that have been poor all season are not prepared to accept their failings and are almost using the current situation to avoid the drop? They seem to be dictating what may happen next?
What's the point of restarting if the season's conclusion can't be reached?
Have you any take on this Ed002 please? (Presuming it did start again - a rather large presumption too) .

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Although much of Friday was spent discussiong neutral venues the idea regarding relegation has not been discussed by the PL. There is no plan as to how the season will be concluded at this time. Everything may well be much clearer in one week.}

I thought the same to an extent.

All clubs will be playing in neutral venues, all will be in the same boat.

If the "integrity of the league can't be maintained" then what's the point?

Perhaps it's to do with finances and honouring TV contracts - I don't pretend to know that's what it is.

Everyone looking out for their own interests. Understandably.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The arguement is based on loss of home advantage - and that is proving to be consideration for a number of sides (including two of the top six). It is unrelated to money of TV contracts. But many clubs are not concerned about their own interests only.}

Ed002 does the home advantage thing not kind of become irrelevant with the exclusion of fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A decent number of clubs don’t think so.}

Hi eds I remember you saying Victor Osimhen was of interest. Media suggesting there has been a bid for him from an unnamed side. Wondered if it was Liverpool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Victor Osimhen (S/F) One particular Liverpool scout is really pressing for the club to sign him. Barcelona have also shown an interest, but they have a financial issue to solve first - he only joined in the summer and Lille resisted all January approaches - and it is hard to see why the player would consider a career on the bench at any club. Spurs and Manchester United have looked at him and spoken with his agent. A senior Chelsea scout has also been watching the player who could be seen as an option to their primary striker targets. The interest of these sides prompted Real Madrid to attend two Lille games and they will likely have him on a list somewhere as an option. There was serious interest from Arsenal when he was much younger, but he opted for Wolfsburg. Another one not to lose sight of as he is doing well this season and could be available in the summer. I know nothing of any bid but Lille will want a premium price.}

Ed 002 do you know if liverpool has any interest in Aouar of lyon and what are your thoughts on him as a player.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Houssem Aouar (CM/AM) Manchester City approached Lyon about Aouar and Ndombele last summer and it was made clear that only one of these two key players will be allowed to leave then - Manchester City maintain an interest but he is not first choice, as do Juventus but the interest of Barcelona has gone. Arsenal also maintain an interest but have a financial issue and will need to sell to bring in funds - they are also less attractive without Champions League football and I would strike. I expect Lyon to reject any approach and the player will stay another season at Lyon.}
