Hi Eds, great work. Was just wondering what our interest is in Mamadou Sakho? I think he'd be ideal for us and I'd rather us sign him than shell out £18m on Papadopoulos!
Many thanks. {Ed002's Note - Sakho is on the list of targets for Monaco. Arsenal and Lyon have sustained interest in Sakho and there is some interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Manchester City and possible interest lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Baader has explained that AC Milan and Liverpool have recently enquired about his availability but PSG are not keen on selling and the player is keen to stay.}
Believable11

Sakho is only using Liverpool to help get his position at PSG stronger, he has no intention of signing for us.

out of all the interested clubs, its Liverpool he is using to make his position stronger?
Agree4

Liverpool is very much still a big club!. that plus we are on the up in terms of team strength and quality.
plus Liverpool have a vacant 1st team spot at CB as Skrtel will surely be leaving so yh.
lets look at how many players have used Liverpool in this window alone. Ivan Rakitic, Mamadou Sakho & Kurt Zouma
in the past. Mario Gomez with Munich. all high profile with potential to be world class except Gomez because he is already world class.

He isn't as good as good a agger anyway

How has he used Lpool? PSG can already offer him more money than Lpool ever could.
The player has stated he is happy at PSG so how did you come to that conclusion?
If it was about a player wanting a better contract then some of the other clubs could offer way more money than Lpool. So he would use them first lol.

Hey eds, just wondering is there any updates on Agger, I know you said a few weeks ago he was waiting to see what Monaco would offer. Do you believe he will be staying? {Ed002's Note - That whole Monaco thing seems to have passed. There will be interest from Barcelona if they cannot get their first choice CB.}

Sorry but this isn't true unless its one of the quickest transfers in history! As I said yesterday, i'm told Bolton are most likely however Wigan have enquired. No more than that. No deal has been agreed between the clubs so no deal tonight. Next few days. maybe!

Is this possible? Spearing, Shelvey and Carroll all out in just one transfer window?
Why am I so happy that these TOP TOP TOP players are being sold?
I will give Hendo and Allen one more season. They can make it here unlike the previous 3.
And no, no one will buy Downing; at his age and wages.

Need the £6m of swansea 4 jonjo!
Agree10
Disagree5
Yeah, think its more to do with our book and wage balancing. The four new guys in, Jonjo sold, Carroll sold, whatever monies from Ince Sale and now Whatever few bob from Spearing means that Mkhitaryan can be bought and we're still at or around our yearly budget for purchases. Other planned sales to fund the new CB and then we're monetarily in a strong position to deal with whatever happens with Suarez and his replacement if another is deemed needed.
Agree15
Disagree2
I have a bad feeling this Mkhitaryan business could turn into a very long and boring saga, which culminates in him going elsewhere. £25mil seems to be the going rate and so I really think we should just go for it! What we don't want is for it to go down to 9pm on September 2nd or whatever and end up getting no one!
Agree10

I don't believe it was ever going to be him and Suarez. He is a replacement if Suarez leaves. We don't have the money.

I don't want him.

According to Mirror Mkhitaryan has started a kind of strike to force through a 20m£ transfer to Liverpool. It says that LFC is his strongly preferred destination. If this is true, I'll consider it as god news for us. Once again - thx a lot to all you Ed's for your effort. Cheers. Red Hoffa

There has been no talks, there has been no business taking place and there have been no bids for Mkhitaryan from Liverpool. Would love to see the player but I really wish people would stopped getting sucked in all the time by media stories. At the moment they're all bull

Hi Ed's, has there been any interest from LFC or anyother club for Danny Rose?
FowlerGod. {Ed001's Note - not from us that I know of.}
Believable5
Unbelievable15
Danny Rose was nothing short of magnificent last season. Performed brilliantly in an extremely average side. In my opinion he is exactly what LFC need to give Jose some much needed competition. Having said this I have a lot of faith in Jack Robinson! I think he'll be a top player
Agree14

Rose's defending is hopeless, positionally awful and generally slack. those who criticise Johnson would have kittens watching Rose. at best a converted winger but not not be great at either job. I'd rather Robinson had a chance.

Hello Eds, rumour is the Mkhitaryan deal won't be done any time soon! Liverpool will be lucky to start the season with him mainly for 2 reasons, I have heard the fee will be on par with what we paid for Andy Carroll 35 million after all parties have been paid plus signing on fee!
Other reason is the owners don't want to get stung again mainly because half the transfer fee received for Suarez will be paid on one player which they said they wouldn't do but this is the exception to the rule for a Star player!
Dortmund are supposed to have a deal with Shakhtar but Liverpool have a deal with Mkhitaryan. negotiations are still ongoing fingers crossed Ayre can pull it off and make a statement! Cheers PDLFC

Liverpool might not be bidding for Eriksen and Aldereweild *perhaps* because they feel the price is too high for two players who have ONE year left in their contracts. Perhaps not only is Eriksen a backup option to Mkhitharyan, but also he'd be subject to a late bid in August to try and get a better price.

Hi eds
A few different news feeds coming from news now saying we have agreed a £6mil fee for jonjo? Could you confirm this? Bit of a shame really, yeah he was quite rash in a few tackles last season but I think he was just eager to impress? A loan move would have been for the best in my opinion? Fair play to the lad if he moves on he just wants to get game time
Gazza {Ed002's Note - JonJonJo is getting near the exit but there remain options still as several sides are interested.}
Believable25
Unbelievable3
Is it a straight £6M transfer or are we putting in clauses, like Barcelona usually do ie buy back option, 1st refusal, caps and appearances and sell on fee etc . {Ed002's Note - It will just be a sale. You need to forget all of these "clauses" in contracts.}
Agree6
Disagree15
I think its a very smart ploy to put in Sell on clauses, Buy Back Clauses in players with potential even if you need to reduce a million or half.
1) If they go on to become a big player and sell for large fees, we get a portion.
2) Incase we need to buy the exp player back, we have to pay a fixed price, so safe againt inflation and future value. {Ed002's Note - It is really not as simple as that.}
Agree3
Disagree15
Why would we want a sell on clause or buy back in shelvey's contract when he's sold, he's garbage and been given many chances he's very hot and cold and not what Liverpool need
Agree22
Disagree15
He's garbage? no mate. Garbage is Spearing, Adam. Shelvey isn't one of them, Shelvey one day will be a top player, can already see it. its a shame he's going imo

Borini? He's barely played for us yet and you judge him as garbage? Give him a fully fit season then we'll see!

Shelvey is possibly one of the worse players I've ever seen in a Liverpool shirt. 6 million? Swansea must be mad.
Agree17

Sell Shelvey for 6 million who has premier league experience and played nearly 70 first team games for us.
Replace him with Luis Alberto for 6 million who has no PL experience and played in Barcelona B the whole of last season?
Doesn't make sense to me.

I don't think he deserves a garbage tag, respect the fact he had a go at Fergie while leaving the pitch.I think 6 million is a good deal to be honest.He isn't garbage, just isn't quite good enough.

Mark my words, Fabio Borini will shine for LFC. He showed towards the back end of last season and in the U21 Euros what an exciting striker he could be. His finishing looks to be improving and his movement especially is superb. 2013-14 will see Borini and Allen bask in the warm Anfield sun. Mark. My. Words.
