people are wanting Sturiddge on loan... he gets tackled by the ball.. give ngoo a run out.

Haha I saw that!. Agree give the big lad a game

That was embarrassing tonight. Should hold their heads in shame! To think I was going to drive a round trip of 400 miles to watch it. Why they were not up for it was criminal. a very weak squad and the yanks have no cash!

Heads in shame? It's was 2nd tier team we put out you wally. Its only the cup, if you were a proper fan you would realise the leauge is priority. We were played out of midfield. Joe Allen had his worst game yet. Pity you didn't take the trip and get lost on the way, plastic fans.

Ngoo makes Andy Carroll look coordinated and speedy. The guy is embarrassing and will never do anything at senior level for Liverpool.

eds, do you know what happened to that mexican kid marco bueno, i thought we signed him on a pre-contract, so has he actually joined, and if not what happened?

YNWA {Ed002's Note - No, he did not join.}

Ed002, this Willian Mclaren/Oliveira Souza, is he likely to eventually join? If so, when perhaps?

Boomslang {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Ed002 do you think remy could possible be an option in jan? he is not really playing atm and he would fit a system as he can also play as a wide foward {Ed002's Note - Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle and Lille have shown varying degrees of interest in Loic Remy but there have been no approaches to Marseille regarding Remy from Liverpool. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to England but Marseille have no interest in selling right now or cheaply. If a very good offer is made (circa 20M euros) they might be interested as they do need the money. There was discussion with Chelsea about Remy during the negotiations over Azpilicueta but it came to nothing.}

I think he is due to return, think it's December/January. But he's a Liverpool player.
RedAnt

ED. With limited transfer funds as informed by Ayre on the TV would we more likely go for a loan signing?

Darne Bent would be a good short term solution at low cost, knows the prem and can score goals? {Ed002's Note - A loan may well be an option. I would not be so sure that Bent will be available on loan.}

Ayre is going to say we have limited funds otherwise known as MIND GAMES...

BigD

I think he said it because that we the case, we could tie up Dempsey as we only had about £2m left in the budget so offered a player in the deal.

I would have thought with Bent not getting on the pitch due to a fallout a loan away from the club until end season where we cover his wages would suit all parties and get his value up for villa when they offload in the summer :-)

Wow the owners really don't have 20 mil between them for a new striker? how did they afford to buy the club.. or build a new stadium?

Bent wouldn't be available on loan and he is rubbish anyway

Didier Drogba

"Wow the owners really don't have 20 mil between them for a new striker? how did they afford to buy the club.. or build a new stadium?"

Really?...Are you that short sighted?

Don't be surprised if no one major comes in in January - like I have always said FSG have ran out of funds and are looking to sell LFC. Don't be surprised if the stadium issue drags on too. Bottom line is FSG do not possess the finances to take us forward.

John Henry alone has a nice big superyacht. And there's another 18 like him at NESV.
Problem is, they're just greedy leeching parasites.

I was saying this from day one. Now, only an person would dispute this.
3 strikers out, zero signed. GREED GREED GREED!

in your opion ed who do you think we should bring in in january, and whats your views on sahin and the likely hood of him joining next summer? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool will look to buying a forward in January. As for Sahin, the end of the season is still a long way off. The player and Reza Fazeli have said that he will return to Real MAdrid and he will fight for his place next season but much will depend on whether or not Real Madrid want him back or want to sell him. The situaltion with the management at the club may also influence what happens next summer. Miguel Pardeza would have prefer to see a sale in the summer - but they apparently quoted an "unrealistic price" to AC Milan.}

If all goes well this season then id expect him to stay on at Liverpool with a fee of £12m concluding the deal as we have already payed £4m for th loan.

BigD {Ed002's Note - The £4.4M loan fee is not anything to do with any subsequent transfer fee.}

Ed , any known interest in Yaya Banana of Sochaux , or should we give him the slip ? {Ed002's Note - He only moved earlier this year and won't be moving in January.}

Haha if you meant that pun its brilliant.

What a name lol

Get him in. his name alone will cheer the mid season gloom

Eds are we or have we got/had any interest in Joel Pohjanpalo? {Ed002's Note - Borussia Monchengladbach have put an offer on the table for Pohjanpalo and I understand that Rubin Kazan are still keen. I am not convinced about the reported interest from Liverpool.}

We have signed him today

5times*****

Sorry if i sound dumb but i see lots of people asking about him like he is a household name.....Eh who is he? {Ed052's Note - A youngster who has scored a stupid amount of goals in finland}

Hi eds, great site just wondering what the situation was with Josep Ilicec of Palermo in terms of price, whether he will move in Jan etc.
I seen him play a few times and has a great attacking sense, with his forward movement I believe he could be an invaluable player coming in from the midfield/off the wing/ behind Suarez scoring goals, basically a younger Dempsey. While some would say Jonjo does this I believe depth never hurts and having Gerrard/Ilicec/Shelvey would be a good attacking midfield while Allen/Sahin/Lucas/Henderson protect the back four and set up play.
While I also think we need an out and out poacher (who doesn't) goals from our midfield would relive pressure of our strikers and overall, create a much more threatening Liverpool squad which just wasn't the case last season under KK. Hope you post this and love the site eds, keep it up

mozzilfc {Ed002's Note - Both Milan clubs and Juventus have an interest in Ilicic but Inter are favourites if he does come up for sale. England seems a unlikely destination although Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa have looked at the player in the fairly recent past.}

Just spoke to Tancredi Palmeri (Italian CNN Journalist) he said Ilicic would be available in January, the price being 7m euros (around £5m) however he was unsure if Liverpool were bidding.
Thought i'd share the info on a relevant post were it might help a few people.

Thanks for the reply eds, hope that he doesn't stay in Italy or moves to any prem club other than us! If the other replys is to be believed than maybe we can snap him up...

Hi ed01 wats the story with sterling? I've heard he has rejected a new contract, have you heard anything about this. Tony {Ed001's Note - last I heard he was looking for a major pay rise, much higher than we were offering. As far as I am aware, there has been no rejection, just discussions.}

Give the kid what he wants , heard he turned his nose up at 15k per week. Someone'll snap him up if we don't tie him down - he's the future of LFC surely.

Let's hope he doesn't forget who gave him his chance to shine. He's not the finished product yet, so hopefully he doesn't get too cocky. " Mr. Chow Ci Bai"

Big head sterling going back to london

I can see Sterling being a bit of a diva over the next few years. He must remember not to get too ahead of himself here, he has played a third of a season as a first teamer. He needs to realise that he is playing regular first team football for a club, who whilst cannot currently challenge for the title, are competing in enough competitions to satisfy his footballing needs, playing in europe, and stand a good chance of winning something, and playing CL in the next few seasons. In my (admittedly biased opinion) he is at the best place right now. I can't think of anywhere that he would be better off. He is getting plenty of game time with us, and if he went to any of the top four would spend most of the time on the bench, as they would rather buy in an expensive foreign player on high wages than give a young lad with potential a chance. He shouldn't be turning his nose up at £15k a week - that is plenty of money for a 17 year old lad! I can't see him staying with us forever, he will probably want a move back to London at some point. But hopefully he can do the job for us while he's here and then make us a decent amount in a transfer fee.

Sterling is an great prospect n is already doing good in the 1st team but If it's the case of him wanting more money at 17 years old then show him the door coz he's got no respect for the club..... Another greedy player ....

People, let's not forget the poor lad has to pay child support for three children and their mothers...so that's SIX children ;)

When hes got the likes of cole on 100k a week and he is running rings round him i can totaly understand why he would turn down 15k!

Have to understand that whilst hes in the first team and standing head and shoulders above most out on the pitch this season, he'll want to see a wage that would compete with the other players out there

Pay him what he wants or he will go els where and we will end up buying someone els not as good a paying a higher wage anyway....

We need to keep our best players, it is as simple as that

Rubbish. Sterling is staying

Sterling is staying

I hope this isn't true. But if so Theo Walcott replacement

Theo as replacement...... oh my word

If your good enough your old enough eh apart from when it comes to your wages
If we dont pay it someone else will

This is from a very reliable source:
'Christian errikson is a genuine lfc target'

I don't know if we will get him but he is a target.

Thanks.

Maybe a serious target on behalf of liverpool but not a serious destination on the behalf of eriksen!

Wow that is old news!! But I Heard Elmore is being targeted as the next mascot poor liver bird

Eriksen may well be a genuine target for liverpool but liverpool is not a genuine target for eriksen!

I really doubt we could sign Eriksen in January or summer without the promise of CL football.

Where would he fit into our midfield?

He would fit into our midfield as he is a real talent, however, he is not a priority. We do not need serious investment in our centre mid, we have other areas which need strengthening first.

It's sad when some fool has to reword his comments so he can have 2 goes at tryin to take the piss. #sadfool

What are the chances of Joe Cole leaving in January?

Is Samed Yesil allowed out on loan?

Yesil can only be sent on loan if at least one striker comes in. We don't want to make the same mistake that we did with Carroll

We will need two strikers not one yesil is the best player in the
World
