Ed do we have interest in Mario Suarez? Seems a bunch of nonsense to me.

{Ed002's Note - I am aware that Suarez wants a move away from Fiorentina to get more game time - where ironically he moved in the summer for the same reason.His agent has spken with Sevilla - who are certainly showing some interest in making this happen. I am not aware of his agent discussing the player with anyone else.}

Hi Red Lenin - I think you might be referring to the Spanish player Suarez who played for Internazionale and Barcelona and other clubs between 1953 and 1973. He is the only one I can think of!

Mario Suarez will struggle in England IMO; he is painfully slow.

I'd rather we went for Lars or Sven Bender.

Hello Ed002. I asked this on the European pages, but didn't see a reply there, so I thought I would ask here.

Is there any interest in Shakhtar's Alex Teixeira from Liverpool? I have asked about him in the past and you mentioned that Juventus were interested in him, and recently he has been linked to Chelsea.

I think he is an excellent player, and can play anywhere in midfield from central midfield to attacking midfield or as a winger. I remember him playing as a winger in his younger years with Brazil, and has now stepped up. IMO, he is a similar sort of player to Willian and Douglas Costa, but has more to his game than either of them.

Any response would be great, and thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - There is indeed interest in him from elsewhere, but none from Liverpool.}

From what I've seen of Douglas Costa, if he's anywhere near that level he's got talent.

Eds, any news on Hendo, lad who I work with lives near him in Formby, and says that he told him he will be doing full training sessions again from next week? That would means he should be back in a couple of weeks say wouldn't it?

{Ed001's Note - 3 weeks I think, he is due back.}

Sturridge back in training next week. The flexibility in his knee has fully returned, just as a bit of soreness and bruising to shake off.

It's also unrelated to a separate knee issue last season. He suffered a knee clash, which is like running into a brick wall knee first.

I heard bob geldof is bringing out Band Aid 5 for him. ' Do They Know (Where Daniel Sturridge Is) "

A direct impact on the kneecap will cause a contusion behind it and can cause a significant amount swelling. The swelling and pain will not only limit range of movement but will also cause inhibition of the quads. The longer they are inactive the greater the risk of muscle wasting. Given his history of muscle injuries I suspect the club will be very careful with his return as they need to make sure quads recruitment is back to normal. If not then there is the added risk of decreased stability of the knee which is the last thing Sturridge needs on his return. Despite a clash of knees seeming innocuous I am not particularly surprised in the time he has been on the sidelines with this one.

Cheers.

A brick wall knee first hey? Somehow Ibe came out of it pretty fine, some brick wall. Sturridge must pull Hammies just thinking about sprinting.

Ibe was the brick wall. Solid, that lad.
