Ed please post and reply! What fee roughly would Walcott cost if we were to bid for him in January?
Cheers, much appreciated! {Ed001's Note - no idea.}

Around £7 Million (take the case of Cahill to Chelsea last year as an example)

Free in the summer

Cheap because his contract runs out in summer. Arsenal won't want him to leave on cheap. Great performance tonight from Walcott

Are we still interested in theo walcott?
At 23 young an has more to offer than sturridge...

Is Walcott honestly worth £100K a week? Nope.

He was unbelieveable tonight

U lot are so fickle now you want Walcott

Not after his hattrick today vs Reading. Going to assume Arsenal will finally tie him up to a new contract

Totally agree

Eds keep hearing about Darren Bent linked with us. Is this just speculation because he is in and out of the Villa team or is there any truth in it? {Ed001's Note - speculation because he was dropped and we are short on strikers.}

No chance - Bent is completely the wrong type of player for the new system - He needs the ball over the top to run onto, not into feet like we need

Lol dropped from villa makes him good enough for liverpool, thats not right

i'd worry if that were true.

Worry? I would panic. He couldn't strike a box of Swanvestas. Bit like a tall Borini. We don' t need two goal shy strikers.

Bent and Sturridge in the same side would be very very worrying better left alone

Is dzeko not an option? What are his current wages? I wouldn't want to be 4th choice striker! {Ed002's Note - Manchester City rejected a 19M euro bid in the summer - his wages are well beyond the means of most clubs - perhaps £160k a week or so.}

Really like Dzeko, would welcome him to the team, powerful mobile forward.
Sired

160k a week? for a player that doesn't even start. I surprised that people are highlighting this more often. I mean how can this be sustained? Man city are a house of cards in my opinion, especially with the new regulations.........

Who made the bid ed?

thanks. {Ed002's Note - Juve.}

I will be more than Happy if we sign Huntelaar for short term solutions and the Korean Lad from Hamburg for long term Vision...can eds tell me how much they will cost
Indian Red {Ed002's Note - Schalke certainly do not want to sell Huntelaar as it is going very well for him in Gelsenkirchen and they want him to sign a two year extension to his contract - and he wants to only sign for a further year. This is the reason for the impasse not him waiting on someone to make an offer. However, Schalke said that they would likely sell if he refuses to agree any contract extension, and he hasn't - although that threat was there in the summer and they didn't sell. CSKA, Atletico Madrid and Lazio would appear the most likely destinations if he were to move in January, but several EPL sides are still looking for a striker: Arsenal (but they have other clear targets), Chelsea (again he is by no means near the top of the shopping list) Spurs and Liverpool - both of which could be potentially be interested at the right price.

A number of clubs, possibly including Liverpool, have been looking at Heung Min Son for the past year. Certainly Sunderland, Lille and West Ham have had him watched on more than one occasion. I would doubt he will be available for a January move.}

Why not go for. Benzema

Huntelaar would be perfect for a couple of seasons till yesil develops. I think he would complete the squad.

Hi Eds,
Heard somewhere LFC interested in Dries Mertens, PSV exciting attacking winger. Hw much his value?

Looking the way he play, just the player we need. Tricky, and when have chance he'll shoot. Scores many goals and importantly not selfish since he also got many assist for few season.

Eds, have Liverpool consider him target signing this Jan?

ItsJimmy. {Ed001's Note - I don't know about January, but we were considering him in the summer, if Sterling didn't step up.}

Believe Jermaine Lens on the opposite wing or Luciano Narsingh would be much better buys. Look them up. Both Dutch Nat'ls.

We might still go for him seeing as downing hasn't stepped up

I usually agree with your thoughts (all eds) but EDS 001, we were contemplating mertens if sterling didn't step up....you're asking a 17 year old to step up?! compared to a 25 year old. It shouldn't ever be a case of a 17 year old stepping up to the plate for a club in the top flight,the depth should be there to introduce to the English game over a period of time.
To me all your reply suggests is how bad liverpool are requiring a 17 year old to take a mantle. {Ed001's Note - rubbish, it shows how highly rated Sterling is, that we didn't want to block his progress by buying a player to block his route into the first team. You misread what I meant about him stepping up.}

Lol Ed, no offence bht it doesn't matter wether we bought Mertens or not. Its not like Sterling can't play RIGHT WINGER!?!?!?!?. We all know hoe prolific Mertens is in Eredevise. I believe a front three of Mertens as Left Winger, Suarez as striker and Sterling as Right Winger would see us in the Top 6 atleast. No, I am sure we would be there by now!!. Its quite simple really. Were just badly missing our very own "Mata", a player who is a goal scoring winger come attacking midfielder.... {Ed001's Note - right, so you want us to drop Suso and not even give a chance to Assaidi simply because you demand the latest FIFA superstar? Give it up, we don't need him right now.}

We don't need another player from the dutch league who's goal scoring record doesn't transfer to the prem, especially not a winger. we need a striker and debatebly another full back.

Hi eds.. Sky reporting Holtby has received offers from English and Spanish clubs. Do you have any idea who they might be.
Appreciate the work you do.
Cheers!!

The Urchin {Ed001's Note - I have no idea who has made the offers for him, sorry.}

Is he good? {Ed002's Note - Schalke have confirmed that they are to offer Lewis Holtby a new contract but are aware that there will be interest from clubs wishing to speak to the player in January. Aston Villa has added to the previously known interest from Valencia, Everton and Arsenal and unconfirmed rumours suggest that both Manchester United and Liverpool may also look to Holtby. Perhaps the most interesting option that he may have is Inter Milan who most definately has an interest but are being advised by Di Frisco that he is perhaps two years from being ready for such a move.}

Reports in london are that arsenal are one of the names? {Ed002's Note - That is correct.}

I hear its Everton
