Ed's I remember you saying sometime back that Yarmalenko was valued by his club in region of 30-40 million.

I'm not asking for figures but do you know if his club still value him so high or has his value decreased i.e. Due to length of contract etc?

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Dynamo Kyiv accept that Yarmolenko will likely move this summer with strong interest from Fiorentina, Inter, Valencia, Napoli and Dortmund. Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City have dropped their interest but PSG are considering Costa and Yarmolenko as a possible options to replace Lavezzi this summer and it is possible that Spurs will look to him again. He has a desire to move to Chelsea and there have been approached made directly to the Chelsea to gauge their interest - which there is none at the moment. They are more realistic on their pricing.}

Eds there are rumours we're interested in Carl Medjani of Trabzonspor. He's a centre back though.

Surely it's BS?

{Ed002's Note - It seems unlikely - and I know nothing of it.}

The same Carl Medjani we released years ago as not good enough??

He was released nearly 10 years ago but may qualify as a home grown talent as he was at the Academy (before it existed I presume). He was definitely a LFC between for the latter parts of his teenage years.

Hi eds.

I was just wondering if we would look towards Paul Georges Ntep if Sterling leaves?

On a sidenote, could I bother you for your take on the player? If you have watched him, is he someone that would fit into our style?

Myself, i see a lot of Sturridge in him, quick, technical and shoots hard everytime no matter how far away from goal.
The negative is that i feel he always does the same as Sterling and Sturridge, running down towards the line, a couple of nice looking twist and turns and ALWAYS continues towards the line and passes the ball in 45degrees. Rarely they/he goes in towards the middle to try a shoot.

{Ed002's Note - Stade Rennais' Paul Georges Ntep has been of interest to Stoke, QPR, Bordeaux and Montpellier. Marseille, Liverpool, Saint-Étienne, Chelsea, Arsenal, Lille and Manchester City are known to have watched the player this season.  But only Stoke has made a firm offer. }

Hi Eds, do you know the current status of Kovacic and Clyne? I would be more than happy to see them arrive at Anfield, but why do we set ourselves up to fail every window?? I understand you have to manage to expenditure but all we do is advertise we have made a derogatory bid and alert the big guns to step in and buy them. We need a new transfer policy IMO. Is there also serious interest in Klopp? I read this could be from both directions?

{Ed001's Note - according to Southampton they have received no bid for Clyne and are expecting him to sign a new contract. I don't know anything about a bid for Kovacic.}

You should not believe all you read in the press.95% of it is either made up rubbish or copied from someone elses made up rubbish.

Yes there is a lot of rubbish but we have failed to sign an abundance of players as we seem to spend weeks/months negotiating bids before losing the deal to someone else. Hence we end up with a load of players that are not good enough!!

Well that's quite firm response Ed, I thought the Clyne bid was true ffs but that's done it for me lol. Seems all we've been reading on these 2 players is not true.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - the thing is papers make more of things than they are, bids are extremely rare in modern football, yet they are full of bids going in. Normally it is more of a negotiation, then a fee agreed and deal done. No bids involved in that at all. If you read about a bid, 99.9% of the time it is utter nonsense, no matter who is involved. They will talk of a bid when a rep has simply asked if he would consider a move to a particular club. It doesn't even necessarily mean they will make a move, just means they can decide whether to include him on a shortlist of possibles or just remove them from the equation altogether. If a paper gets that info they will talk of a bid and then put a figure to it.}
