To be fair Hailstones, one huge positive is that it means that we can defend our title and give more game time to Minamino and Elliott without their being the pressure on them so that they can be ready for 21/ 22.

I’d still say we need a forward/ attacking midfielder. Shaq looks like he’s on the way, Lallana is leaving too I assume, Origi might or might not stay but even if he does our out and out attacking players would consist of Salah, mane, Firmino, Minamino and Origi. I know the likes of Harvey Elliot are coming through but it doesn’t look like they are trusted to start a PL game for us when we’re challenging for a title. As well as a forward, I think we need cover for Robertson (unless there’s one within the academy) and a CB if Lovren/ Matip are to leave. All this would be hard to achieve under the current financial restrictions we have but that is what we need if we are to improve the squad. We have to see if Adrian is staying as well.

Curtis Jones will replace Lallana, Origi will likely to be staying, I think we can wave goodbye to Shaqiri, Lovren, Wilson and Grujic, from that I suspect there’ll be some activity after that.

we need 2 players who can play in multiple positions.
1 who can play across back 4
1 who can play across front 3
but i would rather get a player who can LB/ LCB and that's it.
Origi, Elliot, Takumi and Ox can cover cover front 3.

As an African who’s also an LFC fan who cringes whenever our players go for AFCon in Jan. I think AFCon is an important tournament for many people in the continent and around the world and there’s nothing great about it getting cancelled despite club allegiances.

Loved your comment, Mico. Even though I am not African and I hate to miss Mane/ Salah, I do think you are 100% correct. Still I believe it's also a correct decision to delay it, just because of the circumstances lately and the many fixtures piling up for the coming months with CL and LE for August etc.

To be fair Mico10, there is good news is that it’s only postponed and not cancelled, so it will go ahead just as a later date, I genuinely think works for everyone as the continent of Africa doesn’t lose an important major tournament and it gives us time to make appropriate plans for it and adjust to the financial fallout and getting back into the swing of things football wise on the club front.

Gents we are current European premier league and world champions we have a team that has bonded perfectly and are playing the best football I have seen for years.

Trust in Jurgen and his team he keeps proving us all wrong.

We all said what are we going to do when Philip left? did it bother us no we just got better and improved.

We need to trust in the current players we have as we are world beaters and we need place trust in our youth Jurgen does and if it is good enough for him it’s good enough for me.
Am sure half the posters on here just play fifa and think that’s life we have fantastic chemistry and team ethic why break it up? Why crazy if you ask me trust your team.

Keith- Yea he does know and I am almost certain he would add to the squad if he could.

Track the arvo of the team, these performance levels aren't sustainable on the same group of players imo maybe Klopp can squeeze another 12 months out of this group. But I am convinced he would be wanting to freshen up the squad along the way.
