Zielinski transfer to be agreed next week, formal apology made about the way they went about tapping him up, fee to be agreed next week and medical the following week.

Think the Sinclair transfer signalled a thaw in relations.

01 Jul 2016 17:56:30
There is absolutely no way this transfer would happen unless we don't pay the asking price. Y on earth Udinese drop their valuation for a mere apology letter? They are 2 more suitors for the player who would ready to pay a decent sum.

Hence, the reason why the OP's speculation makes no sense, Harry.

Ed001. Is it safe to say Dahoud isn't happening? Do we have an alternative or is it Zielinski?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - I do not know where the Dahoud story came from. We were always after Zielinski, the only issue was the way we went about getting him has caused us problems.}

30 Jun 2016 16:47:57
Ok mate fair enough.

Do you expext to Zielinski deal to be sorted once Poland are out of the Euros or hsve still got some work to do?

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - the issue is purely between Udinese and us.}

30 Jun 2016 17:11:27
It will be easier now that we have agreed a fee for Jerome Sinclair, with Watford.

Only thing stopping PZ from joining now is Poland at the Euros.

Hi ed01,
I'm not sure if you appreciate people asking you about personal opinions on transfer targets, and my apologies if it annoys you.
But what do you think about zielinski?
I don't know anything about the lad!
Would he play infront of the back 4?

Cheers

Liam.

Agree1 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - I have not seen him play.}

30 Jun 2016 18:19:23
I think we are going to have to be very patient with zielinski, and not expect wonders from him.
He still looks a pretty raw if very dynamic player, and he might need a season of developing in the PL before he starts to really shine.

Agree7 Disagree5

30 Jun 2016 19:57:57
He has hardly kicked a ball for Poland. How good can he be? Is he worth the hassle? My opinion is no.

Agree11 Disagree16

30 Jun 2016 20:17:46
He's 21 year old I see him as a squad player. With can and hendo being 1st choice. Can anyone else see that.

Agree9 Disagree5

30 Jun 2016 20:20:30
Same as sane for Germany but you would take him.

Or Sanchez who Bayern just payed 30/ 40 mil for.

He doesn't get in this Poland team because of the style they play, there are better players suited to it. Due to ut being a defensive set up.

Klopp wants to play on the front foot, dictating games and he will be good for that.

Agree10 Disagree6

30 Jun 2016 21:12:24
He's not worth the trouble, IMO.

Agree5 Disagree10

30 Jun 2016 20:37:37
How many balls did Kovacic kick for Croatia yet many would take him in a heartbeat. Just wait and see Zeilinski is a good player but Poland have a settled side.

Agree9 Disagree4

30 Jun 2016 20:49:33
Paulo

Not sure what you mean by playing at front foot? Does that mean leaving gaps behind? You don't play high up to dictate and game. BTW Renato Sanchez is currently running the show against Poland.

Agree1 Disagree10

30 Jun 2016 22:51:17
Zielinski looks like a in experience Schurrle.

Agree1 Disagree10

30 Jun 2016 23:08:37
I don't know why we're going for him tbh.
We have lots of young central midfielders : Can, Brannagan, Grujic.
Still I'm happy to accept Klopp has a master plan so I'll wait and watch.

Agree9 Disagree5

30 Jun 2016 23:49:32
Lots of opinions here from people that have NEVER seen him play!

Wind your necks in and have some faith in Klopp and the scouting team.

Agree12 Disagree3

01 Jul 2016 06:03:16
Its no reflection on him that Krychowiak is keeping him out of the Polish squad. Krychowiak is seriously good from the few games I've seen him play in and the only Sevilla player named in LaLiga team of the year. Plus as Paulo says above, Poland are setup to play with 2 defensive midfielders so is always going to be hard for Zielinski to force his way into that side.
Zielinski is young and does look a bit raw (shoots when I would have thought would be better to pass) but clearly has potential so we should be patient with him.

Agree6 Disagree2

01 Jul 2016 07:20:56
Beddoerocks - Klopp I have faith in, the scouting team not so much.

Agree1 Disagree3

01 Jul 2016 11:04:04
if you ever actually watched polland they play 4-4-2 with krychowiak and machinski as midfielders, two hardworking non-creative midfielders with grosicki and blazikowski on wings. and they don't change it. for zielinski to play in such setup is impossible. only if they set up in diamond. their coach is traditional and he played on polland streghts and played for result, Zielinski will be first team for Polland very soon.

Agree2 Disagree2

01 Jul 2016 17:37:45
If Zielinski anything like Renato Sanches we should snap him up. Renato Sanches going to be a big player for years to come, he so young and he got pretty much everything to his game, Bayern made a smart move.

AC Milna has joined the race to sign Piotr Zielinski.

is that James Milners cousin.

In the most shocking transfer rumour of all time Liverpool are linked to Tello. I swear we have been linked to that kid since he was in the womb 🙈.

Seen today that Liverpool have been linked with a move for Axel Witzel, heard anything eds? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Jerome sinclair has officially joined Watford on a 5 year deal, Liverpool will be due some compensation after rejecting an initial bid of 1.5m.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

30 Jun 2016 10:00:34
It was expected that a transfer tribunal might be needed to determine the fee but Liverpool accepted a deal reportedly worth £4m from Watford.

Agree8 Disagree1

30 Jun 2016 10:01:04
Note- 4m is the estimated compensation fee.

Agree0 Disagree6

30 Jun 2016 10:10:08
It's not a compensation fee, the clubs have come to an agreement.

Ed a few questions on 2 Strikers that we really need to move on.

Are Palace seriously interested in Benteke then? Have they made any contact at this stage? Where is he most likely to end up?

Also I've read that Balotelli will report back for training soon with the rest of the squad. Surely Klopp wants to move him on and we will find a suitor? Or is there a chance he will be with us for next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - yes, yes, that would be pure speculation on my part.

We have to find someone to take Balotelli. It is not as simple as saying bye.}

30 Jun 2016 08:35:56
I really hope that if Benteke moves to either Palace, West Brom or West Ham, LFC refuse to subsidize his wages. The buying club should be willing to pay Benteke his wages or convince him to take a pay cut to move there.

Agree9 Disagree3

30 Jun 2016 10:26:56
I'd rather benteke go abroad.
It's sickening when past players score against us.
Plus he'll have a point to prove of he comes up against us.
Can't see him going to palace after what pardew said when he won the penalty.
It's a shame, he's a good player, just doesn't suit.

Agree5 Disagree3

30 Jun 2016 11:14:11
he is a good player for a team that plays direct football. For that reason, he would do well under big Sam at Sunderland.

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Jun 2016 11:40:26
Is Benteke their second choice if they don't get Batshuayi, or are they intrested in both?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - they are not getting Batshuayi.}

30 Jun 2016 12:22:21
He will smash it at Palace, play to his strengths. He isn't an awful player, he is just awful in our system.
Can't see with this TV cash I keep hearing about anyone in top flight could ask for sub on wages. That would be embarrassing and disgraceful.

Agree8 Disagree2

30 Jun 2016 15:26:25
Benteke could still sign for Pardew, Diouf signed for Warnock after being called a rat lol.
