Over on the rumours page you hinted that Lavezzi is an option under discussion?

I know you hate to discuss players (but after last night everyone will see your predictions for Can and Lallana were spot on. Balotelli too!) so. I am wondering if you or Ed001 see Lavezzi bringing anything that we actually need?
I can't see how he would fit in a squad with Markovic - and Origi - to arrive. If we want a hard working forward then we have Borini for that roll too?

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Lucas from both Napoli and Inter - and both would like to take him on loan in January. The player has made it clear that he does not wish to move to Naples but would like to move to Inter Milan and his representatives are actively discussing the move with Inter. There are however a couple of complications, one is that Inter have been in negotiations with another player (but a deal would require the approval of FIFA) and the second is that Inter feel that they are being messed around by Liverpool in this matter. Napoli may press again but with Benitez leaving at the end of the season they may not provide a longer-term solution the player is looking for. The interest of Gremio will likely be rejected by the player.}

Any truth in the reports that Lavezzi hasn't gone to winter break training with PSG and wants out, and if he does is it true PSG would except lower bids for him. still can't see us signing an older player like him without prem experience even if he was going cheap in jan
