Hi eds thanks for all the hard work to keep us in the know, just wondered if the Sakho loan to Sunderland I've read about is true, if it is I would be surprised as I really rate the guy, I mean yeah he doesn't look the most comfortable of players on the ball but he's not a bad defender in my opinion.

Many thanks

Henlow red.

{Ed002's Note - He has rejected offers from WBA and Stoke and Liverpool are desparate to move him on.}

are they looking for a loan genuinely or to get rid permanently?

{Ed002's Note - RTFP.}

klopp wants him gone, like it or not that's the situation.

Won't that leave us short of defenders? Tell me if I am missing something, but what's the plan if Clyne gets injured on international duty? I can't see any immediate cover - Gomez is injured, as is Klavan, don't say Moreno! . I feel that we are leaving ourselves dangerously light, except in midfield that is!

{Ed002's Note - Take it up with Klipperty.}

Henlow, have you been paying any attention at all?
It's nothing to do with his ability as a defender and his physical appearance or style of movement has always been irrelevant.

What has Klavan's injury got to do with having cover for Clyne? If Clyne gets injured we have Randall, if Randall goes on loan we have Alexander-Arnold, who is a great talent. So, no worries.

Alexander-Arnold, Ilori and Lucas are still with us. So to Randell if no loan move. We must also have players in the U23. Arnold looked great in preseason tbh, like to see him get a game.

Jurgen Meister. The answer is nothing really, but I presumed Klavan was more a utility man should we have any gaps in the defence with injury. But we still don't have any experienced cover - Ilori is bound to be off in this window, which leaves Alexander-A and Randall. Not players I'd expect to be brought in against big teams .

So it's looking like Wisdom will join Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg after rejecting Celtic and Ings rejected a loan move to Sunderland.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool, not the players, rejected the offers from the other clubs.}

Why did we reject Sunderland's loan offer?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool don't want to loan him out.}

Sorry Ed that's what I meant to have said.

Personally I would loan him out till January so he can get form and fitness back by playing regular first team football whereas here it doesn't appear like he's going to get in the first team for a little while. I really hope for his sake that he can prove himself at the club as he's a great player in my opinion.

Keep him. Sturridge and Origi won't be able to play every game.

I think Wisdom has been loaned out 4 times and only been at Liverpool for 4 seasons, seems strange that he's not sold unless Klopp and Rogers see something in him so as not to sell him.

Wisdom can go permanently in my opinion of what I've seen of him. Ings should be on the bench if not in the starting squad but he needs to get 100% fit. The lads still young and a talent. Sturridge and origi won't last a season without injury. I believe against the weaker teams there should be 2 strikers up front. Firmino isn't a striker.

Seems pretty obvious that Klopp sees firmino as his preferred striking option.

Hendostheman - how's that working out for us? We have sturridge, origi and ings who are actual strikers and far better finishers.

31 Aug 2016 14:17:23
Magico, none of those strikers can provide the pressing, guile and creativity that Firmino provides as the lone front man hence, why they aren`t playing. I do believe that we would be better served if either Studge or Origi played up top with Firmino behind as this is the system we used last season to destroy teams and got us to the EL final.

Hi eds. Used searched function regarding luan but no real answers. Is there any truth in the fact we have placed a bid? Thanks and apologies if u have answered it. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Gremio's Luan has been subject to enquiries from Leicester, Rennes and Milan but no offers have been made by any of these sides. Barcelona were keen to take him as a fourth choice striker but were put off by a very significant asking price and a request for him to stay at Gremio through to January - hence their moving for Valencia's Alcacer (who ironically will likely be replaced by a player from Barcelona). Others who watched the player in the Olympics including Manchester United, Benfica, Liverpool and Juventus do not see value in the asking price. An offer from China at the end of 2015 failed due to significant wage demands from the player's representative.}

I live here in Brasil and have to say I never thought particularly highly of Luan curious if others rate him. Am gutted City got Gabriel Jesus he is quality in my opinion.
