Hi, Eds. what's happening with suso? will he be leaving? and do you think there'll be more additions to the squad?

Ratan.

Believable9 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - should be, yes, I mean the club are trying to move him out by that. I don't expect anything other than a goalie if possible.}

Ed 1 What makes you think he will be moved out. Are you talking loan or permanently? I think we should keep him in the squad. He looked sharp in preseason.

Regards

{Ed001's Note - because we have been trying to offload him all summer.}

Have to say ed, I'm dissapointed in you! there was absolutely no need to have a pic of Harry as your avatar. shocking!

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed001, why do you have a picture of Luke Shaw as your avatar?

Agree7 Disagree0

Yes but he is a top potential talent. You seem to imply its good riddance on Liverpool's part? Tell me, how do you rate him, is it just me that think that may be a mistake?

{Ed001's Note - I never implied anything of the sort, I am gutted Suso is being sold, I really like him, nice lad and I think it is a mistake to sell such a talented player.}

Konoplyanka not coming then?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - unlikely.}

Are the Daniel Agger to Brondby for £3m rumours true?

Believable47 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Nice gesture from Liverpool. He is worth a lot more but I presume that is the most Brondby could possibly pay, and it is the only club he wants to join.

Great servant and deserves to be treated with such respect. Could easily have found another club who would pay him more.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Nobody has made any offers of a "lot more" for him.}

Can't you just let me believe this is a gesture of respect to a long-serving player, rather than taking the only offer on the table to get him off our payroll?!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - If you don't want the truth then yes.}

Thanks Ed

Agree1 Disagree1

Surprising that no one has bid even a cheeky £5m for him, even if he only plays half the games, he is quality when he actually plays. Perhaps therein lies the problem, he wants a stable contract and clubs will be scared off by his fitness issues and want to pay per game. does anyone in the world actually have a pay per game contract? Or at least a contract heavily based on actual appearances?

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe no the bids came in because he made it clear through his agent, that he wouldn't join any English team or European team that could challenge Liverpool, and maybe he just wanted to go back home.
Maybe that's why no "big" teams bid for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yeah, right.}

What a sad sad day. How Lovren is worth 20m and Agger only 3m baffles me.

Agree1 Disagree2

At least it gets £100,000 a week of the wage bill. He hasn't been good for about 3 years or so. Good deal imo.

Sad to see him go, top bloke but wish him all the best in the future.

"The opportunity arose for me to return home to Brondby and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me.

"I wouldn't leave here to go anywhere else and that has been proven by my actions in recent seasons - I have turned down many offers to move to other Premier League and European clubs."

Guess that clears it up, although he hasn't mentioned any other teams making offers in THIS window and this would go with Ed's statement, it's still strange that no one has tried though.

Good luck to the lad, what a great servant he was.

Goodbye and good luck Daniel, thanks for the memories.
Classy till the end.

Daniel, class right to the end of his Liverpool career. Could have gone to many many clubs, and got very good wages, but chose to return home, on a fraction of the wage.

And utter class shown by Liverpool in granting his wish.

Sad to see him go, but pleased to see him go in such a way that will forever keep him in the hearts of Liverpool fans, and forever keep the club in his heart.
