I really hope its finally the end of these 2 f* king yanks next wk.i admired the purslow interview lst wk i thought he came about as a passionate fan an most of all i thought he was bein honest in every question he was asked.as for other so called fans comin on this great site filling it with sh* e about the take over all your doin it fu* ing with peoples heads, i really hope its the end of it nxt wk and we have new owners heres hoping anyway! !(have you any news on it ed?) {ed's note - I don't have any news on it mate, I don't expect to find out anything in advance to be honest, I don't know anyone involved in it and I would expect news to filter out from lawyers and accountants etc before anybody on the playing staff side of things finds out what is happening.}

Ah Ed, i requested my last statement to go to the rumour page but you put it on the banter page?
Now i do know its not a rumour but i wanted to see how many would agree / disagree hence why i picked the rumour page option? ?! !

Anyway onto a different subject, just saw the Irish version of Match of the day & they showed some back pages from tomorrows newspapers.
There was an interview done with Rafa Benitez who said Liverpool is his home, and he has every intention of coming back when he can.
Dont know if that's a promise or a threat myself but there ya go.
It is for real though, not a rumour from what i saw.

Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg looks set to attract interest from top clubs including Liverpool when the January transfer window opens.
The big Bosnian striker has already been linked with the likes of Manchester City and Juventus, but reports suggest Anfield boss Roy Hodgson will also consider a bid to sign the player.

This isn't a rumour but I was thinking that in addition to the protests (which are superb) is to avoid puchasing products from the club shop - perhaps a total boycott.
As fans we don't want to stop attending the games even though this would effect H&G financially but it'd probably add to the dross we're having to currently watch too.
By not going to the club shop, we'd be futher reducing the money the club make through additional sales at matches. I'm not clued up on business matters to know what the reality of this would be should it be played out.
Ed and any one else care to help me on this matter? {ed's note - I stopped buying anything from the club a couple of years back.}

I am sure RH is going in the right direction. He is using his friendship with King Kenny to make Ian Rush sell Liverpool to none other than a fellow welshman by the name of Gareth Bale to come to Liverpool if Tottenham fall out of UCL by January. Sounds too good to be true but then I am not buying it myself but I heard from my uncle (Dad's friend).
I think if RH can pull it, it is the best christmas gift I can get this year provided RH uses him at wings and not defence.

Why do so many people think johnson would play well in midfield, there is an art to crossing, obviously beckham has mastered it, and i think both bentley and pennant are go crossers but to inconsistant, we need width. but before we get a winger or 2 a stricker is needed. would like to see bent i really don't know what he needs to do before he gets the credit he deserve's. as for wingers yes young and mata would be nice but we would have to swap babel in with the deal and would any of there clubs want him. and as for thursdays game the passing was dreadful would love to see us sell the dross, hopefully raising enough money for banega (dreamland) then give shelvey some game time.

Both Schweinsteiger and Navas would cost something like £25M each. We do not have anything like that kind of money.

not quite what everyone had in mind, but again Hodgson wants versatility. Hodgson bought in British to make up the quota ad left room for some stronger International players.
1) Schweinsteiger is the big player - as a Holding / good passing CM. Great buy as Poulsen, Lucas movement and passing is awful and not best tacklers either. It will cost 18m but not sure he will come unless we start looking top 4!
Second player is rumoured to be Jesus Navas. This is mainly becoz he can play either wing and up top to support Torres as alternative option to Cole/ Gerrard.
Woy was looking at Mata but looks like he wants to play out the UCL this season.

I am risking my job but as a die hard fan I want to clarify one thing. The club is no closer to being bought than it was in the summer all interested partys are waiting to see how rbs handle the situation before making an offer. The club will be sold but it will be next summer before the manager will see the benefits of extra funds. I work with in lfc and this is my first and only post regarding the situation. As has been stated before be patient the end of the yanks reign is coming close.

Hey ed haven't been on for a while the crazy summer transfer activity on here about us by all the school kids was ridiculous we don't was to do a man s* tty on it! Just get our ol club back to where it belongs it won't take much.
Anyway the reason I'm on is jus wondering if there is anything we can do more powerful online to squeeze the robbing b* tards out? I'm on Ireland and wood love to show my hatred for the robbing b* tards but can't protestas I can't get over as often as I used to. The Internet is prob the strongest and best form of attack as it can unite all Liverpool fans everywhere do you think something could work? I know we will be sold soon I'm bin patient but I'd rather be sold and them robbing b* tards get zilch out of us they've bled us dry.
