do Liverpool still hold intrest in will hughes of derby ed001, Ed002
and do you think andre wisdom to return to Liverpool or be sold thanks

Believable43 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - Yes, and I would not link the two.}

According to BBC sport Captain Adam Lallana tells Southampton he wants to be allowed to leave St Mary's when he returns from the World Cup. I hope that's a good sign. Any updates on that eds?

Believable44 Unbelievable28

{Ed002's Note - It is of no relevance until Liverpool match the fee being asked by Southampton or make an acceptable bid. I guess Liverpool could give him a bigger signing on fee to compensate his loss.}

Ed are we talking a couple of million here or are they far off from what Southampton are asking? Maybe Ian Arye can needs to check behind his crocodile skin arm chair for some loose change to make up the difference.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant until Southampton are satisfied Chris. You have a car worth £5k to you and the giy next door asks if he can but it for £3K, £3.5k, £3.8k plus his old sofa, £4k .....

Where do you go?}

If chris needs a sofa he might go for it

Agree9 Disagree1

Let's hope the car tells the current owner that it only wants to be driven by the neighbour. Although, if I was the neighbour I would buy latest edition of Autotrader to pursue another car that represents better value, before bidding the asking price of said car.

Agree6 Disagree0

Yeah you have a point Ed, thanks.

Agree1 Disagree1

Surely the point of a transfer request is to help hand some power to the team trying to buy at a price lower than the selling team would ideally like to recieve?

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - The selling club are still under no real pressure, they can still refuse to sell the player but clubs rarely keep an unhappy player. If a player hands in a transfer request it means the selling club get more money in the bank, monies like loyalty bonuses etc are no longer due to the player.}

But if the car wants to go ;)

Agree2 Disagree0

Everyone should just forget about Lallana for the moment. If he is going to move, it doesn't look like it will happen until after the WC. Just enjoy the WC because what will happen will happen. If LFC don't get Lallana, there will be other options.

Just like LFC last year with Suarez, Southhampton don't have to do anything they aren't obligated or don't want to do.

Agree4 Disagree0

@ChristianE - Love it! Nice creativity xP

Agree0 Disagree0

According to certain media in the capital lallana's representatives are in advanced talks with spurs! But that at the moment is just reports!

Agree1 Disagree0

Of course it is relevant. if a player is unhappy at the club, the price is reduced. expect the transfer to be concluded before the WC starts, as well as the Moreno deal this week!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Southampton don't have to sell him, and certainly not cheaply. Take Suarez for example.}

Do Chelsea hold any interest in Lallana ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

02 Jun 2014 19:38:41
Buddy of mine at work reckons Sterling will head to Manchester City for a very large fee. He seems to know John Aldrige but that's hardly an in to the transfer dealings of LFC.

Believable19 Unbelievable225

To sit on the bench, surely he's not that daft?! look at Sean Wright Phillips?! A true talent ruined by City.

Agree2 Disagree1

02 Jun 2014 18:37:21
Luis Alberto will join Malaga on loan for 12 months.

Believable100 Unbelievable11

Is that right Ed?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - There is indeed interest from Malaga but, as far as I know, no agreement yet.}

Why do we buy and then loan all these players who haven't contributed anything to LFC?
Borini, Aquilani, now apparently Alberto, Tiago Llori is another. I love my club . Think BR is going to be brilliant. But I don't much like the amount of players we've bought or loaned that have done very little.
Fabio Borini. Joe Allen, Aly Cissoko. Victor Moses. Tiago Llori. Iago Aspas. (how crap has he been?). Luis Alberto. Even Kolo Toure.
Not to mention Mignolet being far from convincing.
Anyway I like Lambert. So hoping this window different and we get guys who will fight tooth and nail for game time.
Gerrard, Sterling, Sturridge & of course Suarez have been brilliant. Great efforts from Henderson, Coutinho, Flannagan and to some extent this season Skrtel.
But if u look at the players I named as non contributors, we have a few more like Oussama Assaidi, Martin Kelly, Jose Enrique. they will never be the calibre of player us fans demand at LFC. And some may argue give this guy a chance? Why? Raheem started well last season then had problems but boy did he perform this year! So why should we hold on to all these players who have contributed nothing or very little?
U get people saying oh he's doom & gloom, grow up . People who love the club always want the best and want LFC to be top dogs. ALWAYS

Agree2 Disagree6

Bashir, sorry mate but your post is ridiculous. The reason Borini went on loan was partly because of fans like you giving him a unjustly hard time after struggling for form after an injury plagued season and getting slated and went in order to get more game time to build his confidence which he has and will be a real asset to the club if (and I hope) he stays this season. Joe Allen, likewise has struggled with injury, but at times has provided a vital role in calming the midfield and has vitally changed the way the game has gone when he has played or been brought on. Cissoko and Moses, (both loaned in), were brought in to beef up the squad and were given the chance to prove themselves away from teams they were not getting much game time at, they haven’t worked but, worth a punt and we move on. Ilori was brought in with the expectation that Skrtel or maybe Agger would move, which they didn’t, has blistering pace, reads the game well, is very young and talented, needed game time and will definitely IMO be great in the future, we’re lucky to have him at the club. Just saying Aspas (how crap has he been) is both disrespectful and ignorant, well regarded before we bought him, he didn’t get much game time partly due to our performances in the cups and the form of SASAS, will probably leave however I wish him all the best for the future and hope the rest of his career isn’t blighted by people like you. Alberto, young full of talent and potential seemingly made an error of judgement and pissed of the club, frozen out, has to earn his way back in and will be given the opportunity to prove himself and mature elsewhere and get more game time than he is likely to at Liverpool next season. And I’m afraid I can’t even see what Kolo has done wrong apart from not moan about his lack of playing time, given his all when he has played, being prepared to be played out of position and provide an excellent role model for the younger players at the club. I’m assuming you were one of the fickle supporters that were calling for Henderson to be sold just because he didn’t set the world alight in his first season. These are human beings you are referring to, just because they haven’t proved an instant world class success does not change that, have some respect.

Agree19 Disagree4

Absolutely spot on Bruce Lee

Agree3 Disagree0

Should we have stuck with Paul Konchelsky, Christian Poulsen, Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll then?
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I've never been to a match where a player doesn't get called 'crap' or similar by fans. Do you think we should have kept Cissoko?
Llori may come good, Joe Allen May do okay here and there, I was just making a point that we need to be much more certain about a players qualities (or lack of). We don't have the kind of resources that other teams around us do, it's why we missed out (together with no CL football) on certain players, but having seen the likes of Mikhitaryan, Willian and Mohammed Salah play it's very easy to see what BR saw in the players and what they would have bought to LFC . They would no doubt have made immediate and positive contributions to our play.
Oussama Assaidi and Iago Aspas etc are just not the calibre of player in my opinion that will help the team progress and evolve in a positive way, if they were to move on like Aquilani and do well then happy days. Don't you think most fans would be happier with a squad full of quality genuinely fighting to make starting 11? rather than a squad littered with players who are hardly ever going to feature or don't do much when they do?
Personally I'd rather Ibe and Texeira a bit more game time than having bought Assaidi and Aspas.
As for Borini going on loan for game time etc, why not leave him at inter for another year then? It's a top league and doubt the fee we paid would be any higher a year later.

Agree1 Disagree0

He came from roma

Never normally have any gossip, but for once I do. Apologise for the lack of name in advance

As you probably know, we do our Medicals at Spire hospital normally - as with Lambert. However, a medical was re-arranged from Spire and carried out yeterday on behalf of LFC in a Private hospital near Fallowfield, Manchester.

This was rescheduled from Spire due to concerns over press intrusion. Sorry to say I couldn't find out a name, all they could confirm was that the player had flown in Manchester airport in the morning & brought directly to the hospital

Nothing on who, how it went etc however, and I know it's a bit Woolley - but there you have it!

Believable47 Unbelievable74

Maybe its alberto moreno his deal should nearly be done, I read that his capture would be announced earlier today but it has not happen yet

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - And why would they move a medical. The press would not recognise him. This would need to be a real superstar or a shock move - I am thinking Ronaldo. Or how about Torres? No wait, Ibrahimovic - and he has been in England in the past week.}

This must be the move for Messi that we've been waiting for. It's about time FSG showed their intent.

Agree4 Disagree1

02 Jun 2014 19:35:50
Don't believe this for a second. Press would only be outside the Spires if they knew a player was going to be there a la Lambert.
Deal for Moreno won't be complete till later in the week so there's no chance its him.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hmmm, pass on a genuine bit of gossip you hear from someone at the hospital, and get bitched at to hell?!. Ace!

Don't seem to remember claiming to know who it was, or any nonsense about Messi / superstars, funny enough?!. But hey, read / make up whatever floats your boat!

Jesus Eds, if this is the response one post gets, I wonder how you lot can stick it day in & day out!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is how it is man. Nobody cares nowadays as long as the club spend irresponsibly and there can be a year of transition.}

O-M-G i'm doing a jig right now I can't wait to see who it is, I hope, in fact no I pray that its messi, but messi could be the infamous smoke screen for none other than aguero/ramirez?!

Agree1 Disagree0

Arr haha a "JIG" ed do you guys choose the words to put in or is it automatic it sounds even better than a broccoli surprise!

Agree0 Disagree2

Didn't someone post something last weekend about us getting some youngster from united? (I don't recall a name ever being mentioned)

Perhaps it was this lad?

i suppose we won't know until some sort of announcement is made

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Jun 2014 22:36:22
Even better, it could be fat Ronaldo! I agree with Ed002 here, it would need to be a superstar / shock move that will take everyone by supprise. Makes you wonder ah, if true.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yaya Toure, anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ryan Babel was seen in a helicopter near there in the afternoon. Could be?

02 Jun 2014 14:32:59
Rakitic father has said there's real interest in his son from Liverpool, lallana alternative eds?

Believable14 Unbelievable20

{Ed002's Note - Is this Twitter or something? There is a chance that Rakitic will agree a new deal with Sevilla who want to keep him but offers from Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid are being considered. Chelsea have rekindled interest with some recent discussions and the chance of a player moving in exchange - and have recruited some assistance to try and get a deal done, but they are not confident it can be.}

02 Jun 2014 12:58:30
Liverpool have agreed a £18 million fee with Seville for Alberto Moreno.

Believable152 Unbelievable43

02 Jun 2014 11:22:15
Eds

All these Fabregas rumours must be very far fetched and amoungst some of the worse to date. Most sites report we are favourites for him. His wages will be well out of reach and he is 28.

Why owe why?

Believable22 Unbelievable81

02 Jun 2014 11:59:19
His wages wouldn't really be an issue if he was considered a star player. We are in champions league now and we are title challengers.
Suarez is one of the highest paid players in the world, we will pay high wages if we believe the player is worth it.
I still doubt we will go for Fabregas

Agree6 Disagree0

Hes 27

Agree2 Disagree0

"we will pay high wages if we believe the player is worth it"

Where's your evidence?

FSG will not pay his wages. Dezmodo is bang on.

Why would Fabregas ever take a wage-cut when there are far wealthier teams who would pay him the wages he demands?

Agree0 Disagree1

He would commend less wages than what Suarez is currently on, and with a few of £30m, relativley low compared to others of his ability in recent times, it's entirely possible. But do we have genuine interest is the real question.

Agree1 Disagree0

Because we are suppost to be now in the market for world class players, which is exactly what he is,

Agree3 Disagree1

His off to Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2014 11:19:56
Eds would you reckon we a seriously interested in Sanchez? I know we seem to be monitoring him but I'm sure he would cost a massive amount more than lallana? Or would wages etc be a stumbling block

Believable7 Unbelievable42

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps if Suarez were to be leaving.}

Maybe Barca are planning on giving us Fabrigas, Sanchez, Alves, Mascherano and Pedro for Suarez.

02 Jun 2014 11:19:12
Hey ed, I read in the mirror this morning that Liverpool is in for Blerim Dzemaili. Got any information?

Believable6 Unbelievable24

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

02 Jun 2014 10:31:22
Rumours surfacing today that Derby are interested in Jordan Ibe on loan. I'd say that's a great move as it will give Ibe some crucial game time in a team playing similarly to ourselves in terms of the speed they break and how well they pass the ball. It'd be very beneficial in my opinion. It's probably too early to start thinking about loans but if Derby came in for him on loan later in the summer I'd say go for it lad!

Believable58 Unbelievable18

02 Jun 2014 10:42:07
The club need to compete in all competitions.

We need two consistent teams in a squad of players to compete in all competitions, and this lad will get his chance at Liverpool Football club.

He'll fit in nicely in an already youthful squad.

He should stay.

Agree1 Disagree0

Too early think of sending him on loan yet but Derby has done well with youngsters so I would be interested.

There is a rumor that they want Wisdom on loan again and I am not sure a team can loan in 2 players of another team.

Agree4 Disagree0

I think he should stay. Keep him on the bench and play him in the cups

I heard, from somebody I consider to be reliable, that we have agreed terms with Lallana's representatives, over a week ago. These talks were allowed by Southampton.

This says to me that Southampton are delaying the move for business reason's, to look as though they are in control. I believe they know a sale is inevitable and just want to hold out until a new manager is in place.

Liverpool are trying to force Southampton into a decision and it will, most likely, take Lallana handing in a transfer request for this to go through before the WC.

Believable24 Unbelievable26

{Ed002's Note - Is this some sort of joke post. Southampton are delaying the move because Liverpool has not offered enough money. It cannot get any simpler than that.}

So do you reckon we will come in with another bid or is that it

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

02 Jun 2014 11:01:11
No it's not a joke post, I'm just passing on what I have been told. If LFC have been allowed to speak to the player, Southampton must be financially satisfied.

I have gone into more detail in another reply.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I saw it, the tapping up and conspiracy to defraud post.}

I agree with ed. 30 is crazy money for the guy, alexis would cost similar I'd imagine and he's world class

Agree3 Disagree1

That might be true as soton would like to show their new manager that they will give a final say

Agree0 Disagree1

If your going to spend big money on one player, I'd opt for Ross Barkley. In 3-4 years he will probably be £50m +. Lallana as good as he is, due to his age in 3-4 years his value will depreciate a lot.
In dream world Barkley & Lallana would be ace

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2014 05:18:34
Lallana to be in pre WC, Lovren to follow, and Sevilla's Moreno if they can will also happen soon.
BR has a list of 7 to 10 that he would like to sign.
Look at Spurs, 1 or 2 may head to LFC.
If you care, Borini to Sunderland being negotiated.
Aspas back to La Liga, And a big name for Liverpool will be sold.
According to my friend who is a scout, Cesc, and Ribery to LFC, is utter garbage, just trying to get people to read their garbage.

Believable39 Unbelievable65

02 Jun 2014 07:56:14
"Look at Spurs, 1 or 2 may head to LFC."
What does that mean? Can you clarify?
Would Agger or Lucas count as a big name?

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would a scout know about transfer dealings? Is he a scout for Liverpool or a boy scout? A slightly waffly post my friend. I don't even think on this site I've heard us linked with ribery?

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2014 02:31:06
Hey Eds, not particularly Liverpool related but I was wondering with what the situation is regarding Jack Rodwell? Seems he is getting pushed back in the pecking order at City. are they actively looking to ship him off/ is he interested in a move or is everything still all settled?

Believable8 Unbelievable13

{Ed001's Note - he is available.}

02 Jun 2014 01:04:41
Hi eds, did we have any scouts at the Toulon Tournament for the u20 teams? Seems like an ideal oppourtunity to watch potential stars. Thanks

Believable7 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - we always send scouts to those and other youth competitions, as do most of the major teams in Europe.}

01 Jun 2014 22:28:32
Hi eds, do you have to have any idea or knowledge what southampton are willing to do with our latest offer for Lallana? Many thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - I cannot imagine they plan to do anything with it.}
