Edd002, balagues tweeting abit about suarez and sanchez ongoings, do you have any info yourself mate about how discussions are going? Thanks

Believable12 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - I have explained that others are interested in Sanchez. Suarez wants out. I know nothing of his tweets.}

02 Jul 2014 18:52:33
Ed2 is there any latest on Bertrand or our left back situation?

Believable1 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new.}

02 Jul 2014 22:38:06
Is there any genuine interest in Zakaria Bakkali at all?

taffscouse

Believable6 Unbelievable8

PSV are willing to sell as he has in the final year of his contract.

Hiya eds and lfc supporters

just to reiterate on what I said last week, we are one step closer to signing Micah Richards, not saying i'm excited about it, just informing you it will happen. I've never known anything about transfer rumours before, but this one i'm 100% sure about.

thanks

liamlfc91

Believable19 Unbelievable44

Hopefully Liam your not looking at where he's been highly touted to move to Anfield for three straight summers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Should the bookies not have suspended betting by now? I presume you've mortgaged your house, your parents house, your neighbours house, etc. and you've put it all on Micah Richards to sign for us ya?

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jul 2014 15:01:59
hes coming, I know he's coming.

thanks

liamlfc91

Agree0 Disagree2

Why are you so sure matey?

Agree0 Disagree0

We'd get better football from Keith, Michael or Denise, not to mention the inherent entertainment value. They should all be available at this point in their careers as well. Any could be signed for peanuts.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 21:19:52
Hello Ed, do you see Real Madrid or some other club coming in for Suarez or is it Barcelona or bust?

Believable2 Unbelievable13

{Ed001's Note - Madrid are looking at Falcao now, so unlikely to come in for Suarez.}

02 Jul 2014 23:21:04
Eds, I heard Monaco maybe interested, have you heard anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

I thought Monaco's stance on Rodriguez and Falcao was that they wanted to keep them? Can't see why they would sell either, being financially sound and ready to challenge for top honors. Real is always exciting to a player, but if I was them I'd stick with Di Maria and Benzema. The latter in particular has been one of the stars of the World Cup (IMO!)

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 20:31:52
Hi Eds. whatever happened to signing Martin Montoya. I thought Ayre was in spain in Jan getting his signature? Is there still any interest?

Believable5 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - we moved on a while ago, unless something changes that it is unlikely our interest will be revived, at least not this summer.}

02 Jul 2014 21:02:20
Liverpool turn down opening bid of 60m from Barca, second bid being prepared! Not understood if straight offer or includes player.

Believable11 Unbelievable36

Got a bad feeling they will end up offering Song or Pedro to make up the rest. Hope it's Sanchez!

Agree2 Disagree0

Apparently it would be Sanchez and 47M, but if he doesn't wish to move to Liverpool, it would be a fee of 75M+

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Sanchez. Keep reading all sorts. he wants Arsenal, he wants Italy, we don't want him, we only want cash. etc

Likely IMO Tello. We've asked loads of windows for him, he is available . all according to press of course

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 18:19:23
Have we bid for markovic? Also what is the situation with origi? Thanks

Believable10 Unbelievable8

02 Jul 2014 19:31:28
Barcelona and Liverpool have agreed a fee of £78M for the sale of Luis Suarez.

Barcelona have also agreed to sell Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal which has obviously funded their move for Suarez.

Believable40 Unbelievable117

I very much doubt it, Surely Liverpool will get there targets in before the sale as clubs will demand more money from us if they now we have just received a massive amount of money.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 21:03:18
Unless any news comes from the club, ed001 and Ed002 have proved to be the most reliable source of information. Seeing as they've said nothing I doubt a deal has been struck.

I want to add I don't think Liverpool will pay over £16M for Adam Lallana. I'd be very surprised if an agreement was made between Liverpool and Southampton for him this Summer.
07 May 2014 03:46:13
Just been told Jamie Carragher might quit Sky and could be back at Liverpool next season. Obviously not as a player.
24 Mar 2014 20:15:54
I've heard lots of talk from numerous people that Isco Alarcón is a player that Liverpool are seriously interested in and are trying to persuade him to come to Anfield in the Summer (Via Agents)
29 Jan 2014 19:39:16
Good news Konoplyanka wants LFC move. I expect this deal to be concluded by tomorrow.

Based on that, it would sound more like Suarez is staying!

Agree4 Disagree0

Insider trader last 4 rumours :
1.Very surprised if Lallana agrees deal to Liverpool this summer
2. Carra leaving sky to come back as a coach
3. LFC doing all we can to sign Isco
4. Konoplyanka definitely signing

.so definitely believe this latest one then!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but NOTHING will be finalised on the first day. This will go on for at least a week!

Agree0 Disagree1

Do you know if there is any truth in this eds?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - none.}

02 Jul 2014 21:49:59
@The Big G

Liverpool paid no more than the valuation I mentioned. £16M odd plus add ons. Isco was a target and I posted that Konoplyanka was no longer a target a while ago but the editors chose not to post it for whatever reason.

Also I was meant to put Euros instead of Pounds. News coming out now that that offer was rejected. Things have changed. I'll be back with updates as soon as I hear anything.

Good afternoon Ed
If this isn't a stupid question, are there any players other than Sanchez that Barca may try to offer as part of any Suarez deal?

Believable1 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - Plenty Chris, see earlier answers.}

But are they player's Rodgers would like to bring to Anfield is the question. If Sanchez prefers to go elsewhere Liverpool should look for a straight cash deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearly every site I read now insists Sanchez wants to go to Arsenal. Not sure how true they are but it's looking unlikely that we get him IMO.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Jul 2014 19:56:31
{Ed002's Note - Certainly Pedro, Affelay and Roberto will be players that Barcelona would be willing to include in any deal. Barcelona will also be willing to include Alexis Sanchez who will be leaving the club, but it is unclear if the move is attractive to the player. Isaac Cuenca was asked if he would be willing to be included in a package as part of a deal with either German or English clubs and has said he will consider it, but prefers a move to Deportivo La Coruna.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris,

who on earth would you want, who could replace Suarez, apart from Sanchez?

PG

p.s. are you into fly fishing too, beyond your sea adventures?

Agree0 Disagree0

Prof
I really don't know who I would target to replace Suarez, I know I'd be bidding for Lukaku though
and yes I do fly fish as well as sea, you?

last summer we were interested in Luis Muriel the Udinese attacker, he has everything in my opinion and would be a perfect replacement for "Lovebite Luis"
sorry Suarez, what do you think? thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Muriel he has signed a new long term contract at Udinese, but there is still interest from Roma, Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan. His focus was on getting in to the Columbian side for the World Cup (which he didn't) and now perhaps he will see what offers are on the table this summer as he is not getting as much game time as he wants. Getting a work permit may not be easy either.}

Signing a contract does not mean he isn't available, I think he would make a great addition to our squad

Hi ed any true that lfc sign kevin Stewart?

Believable18 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

Ed001 will he be for the reserves or will he get a loan?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to get a loan.}

Also signed vigouroux, a goalkeeper. Both were well known to inglethorpe. Both from spurs who let them go

Agree1 Disagree0

What's he like eds?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - not seen a lot of him sorry.}

Someone at Liverpool must see something in him that Spurs didn't see.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi ed do you know much about stewart?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no sorry.}

02 Jul 2014 15:07:11
M'Bia has been released by QPR. Any interest from Liverpool? Could he be a cheap replacement for Lucas?

Believable4 Unbelievable28

02 Jul 2014 16:21:53
You think he is better than Lucas?

Agree0 Disagree3

02 Jul 2014 18:18:07
If your looking for someone to run around foul and get booked!
You've found your man!

If he's not good enough for QPR why the hell would we go near him?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 13:58:35
Reading down the page that Sanchez does not want to come to Liverpool, is that true or just other posters opinions Eds?

Believable7 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - There remains the thought that Sanchez might be part of a deal for Suarez but there was a discussion with another club in London on July 1 and there have been offers for the player. I understand that none would be enough to make any move viable just yet. It is unclear if the player would be open to a move to Liverpool.}

02 Jul 2014 14:40:53
Arsenal have apparantly bid for him or preparing a bid. Gutted if we don't get him as he's the only one they can offer who comes anywere near to Luis in terms of what he offers on the field.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah I heard that too but from the articles I read about it the only source seems to be a Spanish Journalist, in Spain while he was actually in Brazil at the WC. So unless I see him or his agent quoted as saying it I would take it with a pinch of salt tbh. Gooners are dead excited though lol!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 15:05:40
The gooners are excited and they do have real interest mate. Just hope we can get him!

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 15:09:06
Somebody send him a recording of r match against them at anfield in Feb and he might tone down on not Liverpool only arsenal.

Agree2 Disagree0

There are conflicting reports. Some say we are now talking to his agents and that he hasn't rejected LFC.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Jul 2014 16:24:47
Well Liverpool seem to turn strikers into superstars where as Arsenal are well. Arsenal. I think he would be better with Liverpool

Agree4 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 13:29:48
Hi eds, what's the latest on Xherdan Shaqiri? Heard he will be making a decision on his future soon and there was talk Bayern have put a improved contract on the table? Any truth to this? Thanks

Believable14 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything new nor a proposed new contract. We know which clubs are interested and that includes Liverpool. We will see what happens.}

02 Jul 2014 11:21:02
Eds what's the situation with Douglas Costa of Shakhtar Donetsk looks a really good winger?

And also valbuena and griezman have looked really effective coming off the wings and linking play for France this World Cup. Would they be viable options when suarez leaves.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Chelsea, Rubin Kazan, Napoli, Arsenal, Roma, Milan, Manchester City and no doubt many others have been interested in Douglas Costa in the past couple of years. He was being hawked around Italy and and Portugal by Cesar Bottega for a year. There were some talks but no offer was made. Shaktar's approach to valuing players is not dissimilar to Porto's approach. Right now the sustained interest of Milan and Manchester United seems to have gone but Roma remain confident a deal can be made. Newcastle has also enquired after his availability.

Seville, Zenit, Arsenal and Newcastle have enquired about Valbuena's availability but it is Valencia who have made an offer for the player and a chance remains of a player-exchange. Marseille are willing to sell this summer and have Batshuayi as a replacement. Marseille have not been approached by West Ham at this time.

Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Marseille, Rennes, Fiorentina and Lyon have shown some interest in Griezmann in the past year and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time. Whilst Griezmann has said on several occasions that he has no plans to leave Spain anytime soon, the financial problems being faced by Real Sociedad may still see him leave the club in the summer. He has had a good season which have led to enquiries being made by Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea. Manchester United and PSG had the player watched on more than one occasion and both are looking toward making a transfer happen. Interest from Juventus has gone due to the asking price and Chelsea seem to have dropped their interest. I rather suspect Barcelona may look again.}

02 Jul 2014 10:57:08
Is it true we are looking to huntelaar
as a LS replacment or is just recycled news?
Thanx

Believable3 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - Huntelaar has a year remaining on his contract and is keen to play for another top flight team that gives him the chance of a league title. CSKA, Galatasaray and Liverpool have shown some level of recent interest in Huntelaar - although the word of interest from Liverpool came from an Arsenal scout when he was asked about any interest from Arsenal. The player himself could opt to sign a new one year deal which Schalke want, sign a pre-contract with a non-German side in January or run down his contract and seek a hefty signing on fee next summer.}

02 Jul 2014 10:23:30
Ed002, if you are around, do you know of any interest in Divock Origi from LFC?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Lille's Divock Origi has attracted interest from Liverpool, Spurs, Roma and Arsenal but it is Montpelier that has put an offer on the table. Lille has made it clear that they expect the player to remain at least one more season - but I suspect that they will listen to offers which include him staying on loan in France for another year.}

He showed me yesterday that he can do the job for us. He almost scored in the first minute and looked as dangerous as anyone throughout. Lukaku will get the plaudits for scoring the winner, but Origi is a steal at 10 million. No idea what his league form is, nor do I care. Hope we sign him even if we do loan him away for a year.

Hi Ed's. Any news on Yarmelenko, Konoplyanka and Markovic and do they all play similar positions.

Thanks

Ynwa

Believable3 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Dynamo Kyiv said one formal bid was actually made for Yarmolenko last summer and that was a €27.6M bid from Zenit that was rejected. Other clubs apparently enquired and asked what sort of fee would be acceptable. The answer to all that asked was that they would consider offers above €40M. The figure that we understand Liverpool had in mind at the time was €12M. LFC made no formal bid, and neither did Fiorentina who made a similar enquiry. AC Milan had, apparently, already been put off by the asking price. At this time Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City are showing some interest but an offer from Roma, who see the player as an alternative to Douglas Costa and Iturbe, is likely to be too low to be accepted.}

Manchester United, Roma, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs have shown recent interest. Liverpool seem to have dropped the interest they had and have not spoken to Dnipro since January. Manchester United has made an offer for him but the player desires Champions League football - although I would not rule out a move to Old Trafford.}

Lazar Markovic is of interest to a number of clubs including Inter and Liverpool (who will be in the market if they can get a good amount of cash for players being sold. Chelsea would rather not take Lazar Markovic this summer but may be forced to do so. Benfica would rather sell the player to Liverpool instead of Chelsea as it will give them much more money.}

Really can't see why we haven't gone back for konoplyanka lads class and talk is his price is around 12m as his in last year of his deal

Hi Ed002

Guillem Balague tweeted about 40 minutes ago that negotiations between Barcelona and LFC have started for Suarez.

Is it true?

Believable32 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - It is true that Barcelona has an offer on the table and are willing to negotiate certain players in to that offer.}

Eds who do u believe the players are, Sanchez, Pedro, tello to name a few or do u think it will end up just being strait cash in the end

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Certainly Pedro, Affelay and Roberto will be players that Barcelona would be willing to include in any deal. Barcelona will also be willing to include Alexis Sanchez who will be leaving the club, but it is unclear if the move is attractive to the player. Isaac Cuenca was asked if he would be willing to be included in a package as part of a deal with either German or English clubs and has said he will consider it, but prefers a move to Deportivo La Coruna.}

02 Jul 2014 11:13:24
Hopefully it'll all move swiftly. I think we're all sick of the Suarez will he/won't he crap we've had for the last 2 years.

Agree4 Disagree0

To the best of your knowledge, is Sanchez an option, Thanks in advance for your reply. Ollivander

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona will also be willing to include Alexis Sanchez who will be leaving the club, but it is unclear if the move is attractive to the player - and there is a lot of interest in Sanchez from elsewhere. It is certainly possible.}

Thanks for the replys eds

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed2 do Liverpool have an interest in Pedro do you believe? Would you also say that Liverpool are more than open to letting Suarez go for the right offer ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine please - this has all been done to death.}

As much as I love louis as a player I am finally coming round to the fact of him leaving is the best for both parties. It may actually make the other players i.e. Steling Sturridge to push up another level.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 14:41:47
hi Ed002. doing a great job. could you please tell us are players barcelona are willing to offer pedro, tello and sanchez. thanks in advance

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - See above please.}

Was the offer only cash or was there a player? Not asking for a price

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is the purpose of the discussions today - to see if a deal can be figured out.}

Can you see RM coming in for him now, ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Until the most recent incident they were very likely to be putting an offer on the table - but now they are headed elsewhere with the spending money.}

Thanks Ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2014 09:08:25
Let's hope that Liverpool do not sell unless they have a decent replacement in place. Given Liverpool's past history I am not feeling optimistic

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jul 2014 22:32:30
Eds do we have any interest in Ballotelli? Or could we have once LS is sold?

Believable6 Unbelievable20

{Ed001's Note - nope and no idea but I very much doubt it.}

Damnit! I was really hoping for him! Him and Sanchez would make a fierce duo!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I love Balotelli as a person, he is great for the things he does off the pitch. On the pitch I would never want him at Liverpool, he only bothers to turn up once in every 20 games or so. Too disruptive an influence on other players as well. Keep him well away. Sorry Mario!}

01 Jul 2014 18:41:56
I know you keep saying Bertrand is our possible lb replacement but what's your stance on the Swiss lb Rodriguez looks a good talent to be fair and young any interest? Cheers eds keep up the good work

Believable3 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - this is more something Ed002 knows about sorry. I know we looked at him over the season, no idea if we showed any more interest than having him watched.}

02 Jul 2014 09:37:24
Lot of teams have looked at him but nobody is ready to move for him. That tell you something? Also, playing for Wolfsburg, someone will need to make a huge huge offer to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jul 2014 17:26:52
Hi Eds

I posted this morning asking about Rojo and Bertrand. Not sure were it went but is there any update on either that you no of please?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - I don't have an update, I was leaving it for Ed002, in case she did, but she is not about unfortunately.}

02 Jul 2014 19:35:56
Ed002 is a girl :O haha

Ashley Cole apparently desperately wants a move to LFC, but Brendo doesn't want him

Believable7 Unbelievable96

02 Jul 2014 04:24:38
If he was that desperate, he would lower his wage demands, signing-on fee demands and ask his agent not to take any money from LFC

Agree4 Disagree0

U are aware chelsea are getting rid because his ankles are ****ed and he has to have them packed in ice after game!? And he now struggles to play 2x in a week! Moureen wouldn't be gettingg rid for nothing!
