"MPez {Ed002's Note - I concur - except it is a different Lucas.}"

Ah, my bad!
I just though it was him, as he has been talked about alot lately.

Which Lucas is it, Ed.?

{Ed002's Note - Lucas Silva.}

In reply to:

"Erik Lamela, Javier Pastore, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar have all been watched. Brazilian youngster Lucas is also being tracked. The prices of these players are unbelieveable imo. Lamela is apparently around £15m! Pastore has a 50m euro buy out clause! Udinese want £30m for Sanchez! Santos want £25m for Neymar. Lucas has just had a £80m buy out clause written into his contract."

You are quite the tool, my friend.

Lamela will be acquired by whatever team for £10m at most.
Javier Pastore has no such buy-out clause in his Contract.
Sanchez will go to City (hate to say it - believe he will) or Inter.
Neymar will go to Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Lucas Piazon has recently agreed to sign for Chelsea come his 18th Birthday - January 2012. This is for about £10m plus Potential add-ons depending on Form.

You really should learn about such players before writing pish about them.

MPez {Ed002's Note - I concur - except it is a different Lucas.}

After todays game does any other liverpool supporter agree that kenny isn't up to the job and that if we want to move foward we need a current successful manager and a new face mite attract new players? hiddink or boas for example wat u tink eds?

{Ed002's Note - I steer clear of this question. I was never convinced that Dalglish is a good long-term solution - but in the short-term it was absolutely the right change to make.}

I posted the other day, our transfer targets according to one of my sources from Liverpool. It turns out he was using another source who he claimed had questionable reliability. I have many 'friends' aound the city, and one seems to believe we are after more south american talent, as they provide more flair than Europeans usually.
Erik Lamela, Javier Pastore, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar have all been watched. Brazilian youngster Lucas is also being tracked. The prices of these players are unbelieveable imo. Lamela is apparently around £15m! Pastore has a 50m euro buy out clause! Udinese want £30m for Sanchez! Santos want £25m for Neymar. Lucas has just had a £80m buy out clause written into his contract.
Insanity.
These players would all walk straight into our starting line-up tbh. They are the world's next superstars. However how rich my source thinks FSG are i don't know.
The club is in talks to sign a PSV Eindhoven player. Who? I don't honestly have a clue. At a wild guess it's Dzsudzsak, Toivonen or Labyad.
I've also heard Moussa Sissoko wants to join us, but may be swayed should we fail to qualify for a european competition.
A Man In The Know. YNWA!
P.S. Sorry about the whole Craig Connor incident, got the lad Connor Thomas on loan from coventry, confused with Craig Rodden. My bad.

{Ed002's Note - You really shouldn't tease the Liverpool fans like this.}

Buy at least 8 players:

Hennessey/ Stockdale
Cahill/ Dann
Baines/ Enrique
Gervinho/ Young
M'vila/ Adam
Dzsudzsak/ A.Johnson
Toivonen/ Wolfswinkel
Wickham/ Muinain

Reina
Johnson-Cahill-Agger-Enrique
Gervinho-Gerrard-Adam-Dzsudzsak
Suarez-Carroll

Hennessey, Gulasci
Carragher, Kelly, Wilson, Skrtel, Ayala
Lucas, Meireles, Amoo, Shelvey, Ince
Toivonen, Kuyt, Wickham, Pacheco

This would give are youngsters a shot, but also it is very strong with no deadwood. I would prefer A.Johnson, baines and M'vila but I doubt they would come for different reasons

Last post before i go.
Soldado has scored 4 goals tonight for Valencia.
Wonder how many rumours will go around about him joining us over the next 3 or 4 days?!
A few i'd suggest!
No thanks!
Rafa being linked with a return to Valencia also according to SS commentator?!
That'd be a weird one.
Cheers & Good Night all (including poor old Sydney & his packet of tissues lol),

Paul Jewell has come out and said that if Connor Wickham leaves this summer it will be to either Spurs or Liverpool. He said that some things can't be helped and if either came in with an offer of 10m+ he would have to sell. Also Oscar Wendt has said that his agent is looking for potential suitors for the summer, and Liverpool is definately one potential destinations. He is available on a free at the end of the season. What do you reckon Ed? I think Wendt would be a brilliant fit for LB, especially on a free. {Ed001's Note - he looked awful in the Champions League, but I only saw two games with him playing.}

02 Apr 2011 20:04:32
Have it on good info that Adam, Young, A.Johnson, Baines, Cahill and Dzsudzsak are close to signing. We will target Benzema aswell, though apparently he signed in Jan for 24m? My source says we will move for him in the summer, so we will have to wait and see

Liverpool fc looking to solve their left back headache by signing 20yr old sporting gijon left back Jose Angel for cut price 3m. He has a buy out clause of 15m but the club are in financial turmoil and are looking to offload their top players.

The bull rush.

02 Apr 2011 18:43:54
Ed, what is Nuri Sahin's position. I know he is a central midfielder, but is he a defensive/ holding player, a box-to-box sort of player, or more of a 'in-the-hole' kind of player? From the limited amount I've seen of him, he'd be a great acquisition. {Ed002's Note - He is in the mould of Miereles and Ramires. If he were to leave Borussia Dortmund Inter Milan would be his likely destination. I doubt he will be leaving though.}

02 Apr 2011 17:48:25
Neymar is on his way to lfc

02 Apr 2011 17:24:53
Ed, any thoughts about Summer signings. Do you believe, there would be a major overhaul in summer. Or we are getting 2-3 players again and competing again with an average squad that we have atm. Thought s about Carroll, today? he is heavily paid with the way, he plays. . {Ed002's Note - I expect four or five signings. Remember that we do not even know what is happening to teh manager's position yet. As for carroll, I gave my view before he signed - it has not changed.}

02 Apr 2011 17:11:42
Ed what do you think of marko marin of werder bremen thought to be the germans answer to messi and the centre back jan vertonghen of ajax as carraghers getting on a bit and will soon be needed to be replaced? Could even be bettter than vermaelen or even as good. I think they could be two gems in the making. {Ed002's Note - Marko Marin seems destined for Roma if he moves and the new owners want to push through with the sale. He is a very good player though and perhaps could be swayed. Arsenal, Barcelon and possibly even Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Vertonghen.}

02 Apr 2011 17:03:07
Eds if we went in for David goodwillie of Dundee united what would be the chances if getin him he's bin great all season an he's young scotish?

Square tomato {Ed002's Note - If he is "available" I am sure he and the club would jump at a sale and move to Liverpool. Being Scottish does not mean that he counts as homegrown I am afraid.}

02 Apr 2011 16:10:23
Sorry ed
Meant to ask did we bid for Sahin in jan.

Fowler is god {Ed001's Note - I am not 100% sure, I never made notes of the bids in January because it was so insanely busy. I can't remember whether we did bid for him or if he was just talked up on here.}
= = = = = = = = = = = = =

No we did not , he is (I think) on Comolli list for the summer possibles . But I doubt he will move away from Dortmund.

In reply to:

'Martin'

Ahh Martin. Silly boy.

Also seeing as Yann M'Vila has said that he is happy at Rennes and would only leave for a Top Drawer club.

Just you wait till the Summer, when Charlie Adam signs for Spurs. .
Trust me, it's done. It was going to happen on Deadline Day - the reason why Blackpool and Tottenham, respectively, were both in until the gong. But the Paper work was in about 5 minutes too late, so the deal is on for the Summer.

Every 'Man and his Dog' (used alot by your own Blair Mayne YNWA) knows that if Benzema leaves Real Madrid for England it will be to Manchester United. When he left Lyon it was between Real and United (everybody knows this). So Benzema will turn to his other option now (if he leaves).

Trust me. These are 4 players (Romelu Lakaku included) that Liverpool FC will Not be signing. You may come back and try to say I 'know nothing' when I assure you that I do, and this is the Truth.

In reply to:

"DM: I want to congratualte Lucas for getting a new contract, he has been brilliant. We will probably sign M'vila but not throw him straight into the starting XI, we will devolop him as he is very young."

Yann M'Vila is 20 years old you tool. Plus, he won't go to Liverpool - SAF has already been to watch him and will sign him in the Summer.

+++++++

"CM: Adam would love a move to Anfield and cherishes the oppertunity to work under KK, I don't think there is any doubt that we will sign him, great player, I think he will snub Spurs and even Unuted to join us as he pushed for a move to us in January."

Charlie Adam to Tottenham Hotspur is known about. It will happen. He will not play for Liverpool.

++++++++++

"ST: I expect a young, strong, quality striker to accompany Suarez and Carroll up front and the possibilties are. Benzema (If Madrid sign Llorente), Llorente, Wickham or Lukaku."

Benzema will move to Manchester United if he goes to England - most football fans know this.
Llorente to Real Madrid has already been agreed, common knowledge.
Romelu Lakaku has already said he will only go to a TOP club in England, and right now Liverpool are not there.

MPez

- - - - - - - - - - - - -
All completely wrong - as usual, MPez.

At the moment, M'Vila is more likely to do join us that you lot. It doesn't matter if Red Nose has watched him - so have Kenny and Comolli and they have more money to burn on a midfielder who's price will no doubt exceed £16m+.

Charlie Adam is coming to Liverpool. Every fool on the planet knows this - no reliable source or ITK has even mentioned any proposed move to Spuds.

Karim Benzema will not be moving to Man Utd - especially with your lot's need for a top drawer GK and CM. He is far more likely to move to Spuds or Liverpool, if he comes to England at all.

Mate, you obviously know absolutely nothing about our club - there's no use claiming that you've slept with Charlie Adam's bird and she said she's househunting in London or you followed Benzema into the Madrid city centre and he walked into a shop with Man U shirts. It's not even funny at this point.

tanks Danny {Ed002's Note - There is potential interest in the player - but I wonder if it may be very high risk.}

Why is macca so lauded on this site? Is his knowledge usually reliable? If so, what is his view on what will happen in the summer? Macca - if youre watching, please respond, or ed if not! Thanks a lot. {Ed001's Note - I will leave it for Macca to speak for himself as we disagree on a couple of points regarding the summer.}

This is from The Associated Press:

The parent company that owned the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool FC and half of Roush Fenway Racing has changed its name to Fenway Sports Group.

The umbrella group owned primarily by John W. Henry and Tom Werner was formerly known as New England Sports Ventures. Company officials said it was assuming a new corporate name to better reflect its reach into NASCAR and English Premier League soccer.

Fenway Sports Group had been the name of NESV's marketing arm. It will now go by Fenway Sports Management.

Hi eds! Why rumorus about Marveaux is off. Is there a Chance to Sign him this Summer. I think he is a risk free option in terms of Transfer fee and if he is fit he will add some value to our Squad.
INDIAN RED

{Ed002's Note - He is keeping his options open. Perhaps someone had him look on here when he was a figure of hate for the Liverpool fans for a day and decided not to make the move. I agree he would be a good addition to teh squad.}

Right can someone give me some answers please on how we are getting these players, young baines etc

bayern munich had 19 million euros rejected in january for baines so wed have to bid what like 10 million more than that because we are liverpool and hes had an even better second half of the season, then wed have to get him to sign, hes a bitter not a red, he just graduated from our academy, his whole family are bitters!

man utd have had 25 million pound rejected for young so you think king kenny will spend say 30 million on a player with a year left on his contract, errrmmmm i doubt it,

gary cahill is a maybe i guess but again would be expensive, from what ive been told is that it will be downing, lescott, adam, izaguirre, and parker that will sign but parkers a 50/ 50 because of spurs intrest

what you heard ed? {Ed001's Note - United never had a 25m bid rejected for Young, Villa would have bitten their hand off for that when he has long since told the club he is not interested in signing a new contract and wants to leave.}

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

yeah im with the ed on this, your right on the baines one and i heard lescott one too but young at 25 million would have gone, i rekon he will go manure in the end but for more like 8 million not 25 and forget 30 ha young with 10 years left on his contract wouldn't be worth 30 million, id prefer jarvis, do you know if there is any serious interest in jarvis ed? {Ed001's Note - yes, but Wolves don't need the money so he won't be a cheap option.}

Ed, do you think realistically we could sign llorente in the summer? Also can him an carrol play together even though they are two big men {Ed002's Note - There is a possibility as I expect Llorente to be sold. There is no reason that they could not play together.}

Good morning ed(s),
I've been told something completely different to most of the rumours on here.
I've been told:
-Young is going Manchester United
-Baines is inevitable as Everton may receive the same bid from other clubs to match ours, so why would they sell to us?
-Benzema won't be moving now, but he was lined up to come in January hadn't Higuine(sp) got injured
-Adam is between Spurs, us, and Manchester United. Too hard to call really
-A. Johnson, he is a major name in Man City's side (along with Teves, Dzeko, Balloteli etc.) And they are reluctant to sell to us
Those are the players are obvious to everyone but a good few of them won't join

Young, Elia, Mexes, Richards, Carroll, Suarez, Benzema, Toivonen, Gomez, Van Wolfswinkel, Adam, Hoarau, Llorente were the ones we bid for in Jan.

Benzema agreed to sign in Jan for 24m and RM accepted as they want 2 other strikers, preferably Aguero & Llorente.

Young and Adam are close to signing.

Cahill, Baines, Dzsudzsak, Hazard and A.Johnson are the ones I know we have made a move for in the past 2 weeks and we're talking to them/ talked to them. Hazard gave positive feedback and says Liverpool are close a great club but he would prefer to move elsewhere. So a deal looks unlikely for him. But based on current info, I would say Benzema, Baines, Adam, Johnson, Cahill, Dzsudzsak and Young are the most likely to sign.

Been hearing off my mate( whos more interested in football than girls so knows his stuff) that armin bacinovic is the radar and a top runner to join lfc in summer. .all i know is he is slovenian or slovakian or one of them ed is this bloke any good? {Ed001's Note - all I know is he plays for Palermo, haven't seen a lot of him or any Italian football.}

02 Apr 2011 01:10:35
Sorry but I forget the names. You know who you are! Benzene will not sign! Young is as good as a manc. Wickem will line up for spurs. So you need to think again, and talk to you'r sauces. Up our other wise! !
