Liverpool had a representative watch the Toulouse v PSG match this weekend. Just sayin....

Mr Yellow

Moussa Sissoko maybe?

Thanks maybe sissoko is back on the agenda particularly if meireless leaves!!! sissoko is class would take him any day!!!!!!!!!

One liverpool representative watched the match between ashante kotoko and lisboa fc this weekend. just saying.

Ya a liverpool representative watched the match between Crusaders and donegal celtic last night....... on sky sports he also he had a cup of tea and a hob nob. Just saying.... Mr yellow you are some bluffer mate unreal altogether.
DCG

Moussa is worth more than 30m, I don't think we'll be signing him this window. Sadly so.

Rory Smith reporting in The Telegraph that Chelsea offered £8 million plus Yossi for Meireles which we rejected. He claims that it's common knowledge that Meireles is for sale for £11 million. He expects them to come back with a straight cash offer before Wednesday. I'll be gutted if he leaves, so let's hope we reject it. Can any of the eds shed any light on this please?

Cheers,

Another Macca.

Kenny has spoken of the need to think of the squad being successful. It doesn't make sense to offload Raul even for 11 million.
The whole purpose of what John Henry is trying to do is build quality and he has already been quoted acknowledging that we are years behind our rivals in terms of development .
Reduce the numbers around the periphery and eventually bring down the payroll costs.
This, along with CL means more investment next year, not less.
Otherwise it's one step forward and two back.
Rugbyed

Agree lads quality, goalscoring midfielder. if goes to chavski, want sturridge.

29 Aug 2011 23:01:11
Chelsea have bid 8 mill for Meireles but we have rejected the bid according to the telegraph. Bid also included Yossi.

If we sold meireles n poulsen i would like gago and sissoko to replace them.

8 mil + yossi is a ridiculous offer for a player of Meireles calibre.
If they want him, he is theres for £20m at least, otherwise they can f*** off.

Kenny Dalglish is on the verge of creating one of the best midfields in the Premership. Adam Johnson, if brought in, would complete the balance of the midfield. Stuart Downing on the left, with his performances so far this season, he looks like he's been playing for Liverpool for years already. Charlie Adam, playing in the middle, the Scotsman has impressed immensly, reminding Liverpool fans of a player tthey once had recently. Steven Gerrard is on the verge of coming back and once back to full fitness, I think it's safe to say that Liverpool could be challenging for the title this season.

There is also rumours that Bryan Ruiz is being highly pursued by Liverpool in the closing days of the transfer window. The Costa Rican player who can play upfront or on the wing turned 26 recently and it's been reported that he would consider a move to Anfield.

DanHan

You forgot lucas. his name is one of the first on the team sheet

Adam johnsons career going to waste ay citeh.moreso cosve foreign manager.be a revelation under kenny

We paid 20 mil for downing to play on the left why would we pay 20-25 million for A. Johnson. I know everyone wants it but it doesnt make sense. Man City would not sell him to us anyway. Come on be realistic

29 Aug 2011 22:33:18
EDS the telegraph is reporting Chelsea bid £8 mil plus Yossi for Raul Meireles is this true or just lazy journalism? {Ed001's Note - only thing I have heard regarding Raul's agent trying to stir up some interest in him.}

29 Aug 2011 22:48:09
Seb Coates has been spotted outside melwood signing autographs. Smithy

Your thats a load of bull because i live on melwood drive

29 Aug 2011 22:43:14
Meireles to Chelsea for cash plus Yossi as Spurs are not going to sell Modric. Liverpool will use the cash to buy young Palace striker Wilfried Zaha (would be loaned straight back). Still a chance Joe Cole could end up at Spurs but probably on loan. Bellamy return on loan should happen along with Ngog sale to Bolton and Poulsen's departure on loan (Espanyol favourites).

Hats off to all at LFC this summer as by my reckoning there could be TEN new (or in some cases old) faces in and more than that out on loan or sold and our net spend would be around 50m.

Andre Villas Boas sold Meireles when he joined Porto, dont think he will try sign him now

He'd already been told he could go then - do your research.

Funny that I posted this before a lot of this morning's papers had the story. I am telling you there's definite interest because Modric is a no go.

29 Aug 2011 22:28:38
The rumours surrounding Arsenal's Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott are false. Craig Bellamy will not be joining the reds, as he feels he can get more game time at Spurs. The only signing that I can assure will happen is Roberto Soldado from Valencia. It seems that piece of business is almost complete. I have also been told that Man City will be willing to accept offers for Adam Johnson, in excess of 20m.
Liverpool have also inquired, but not bid, for the services of Ibrahim Afellay and Aaron Lennon. Neither deal is a certainty, although the Afellay deal looks to be the most realistic of the two at the moment.

Big J,

Really hope you're correct on these! Soldado, Coates and Affelay would be a dream finish!

Ok Big J, fair play to you if you're genuine, but you know how much bull gets posted- in two days every reader of this site will know whether you are a good'un like Macca, or not.
If we sign Soldado and not Bellamy I hope the readers remember your nickname, because we need more honest posters in the know.
If you are a timewaster, we'll know that too in a couple of days.
Readers, remember the name for future reference, and lets wait and see.

Who told you ? the jake in the pub ?

Just johnson would do nicely. the afellay is just another mata one, everyone jumping on the band wagon getting excited jumping the gun

Just a thought: I think after Seb Coates LFC should try and get Ezequiel Lavezzi and close the transfer window in style. If we cannot get EL we should use Steven Gerrard a striker instead.

29 Aug 2011 22:18:08
Mauro Zarate from Lazio now linked in Sport Italia, for what it's worth.

Yeap saw that,ave it!

29 Aug 2011 22:15:40
Eds - I know his "buy out" clause is EUR 100 million, however, realistically what fee would the president of Porto FC accept for HULK? He would be perfect IMO for us as a right forward/right winger. He would offer us something different, entertaining and effective. He was also quoted as wanting to play in the EPL and at Liverpool he would have his international team mate Lucas and fellow south americans Maxi, Suarez and Coates plus he could commincate well with Meireles, Reina and Enrique. I know AVB's Chelsea would probably be his first choice but if we were interested I am sure he would conisder us as a major option. As aforementioned, I know his "buy out" clause is EUR 100 million, however, realistically what fee would the president of Porto FC accept for HULK? {Ed009's Note - The fee would need to be in excess of 30 million. Any bid would spark a bidding war which would likely drive it up even more. He is not a viable signing for us, this year at least.}

Hulk being brazilian speaks portuguese so would only be able to comunicate with meireles

A player like Hulk would not sign for a team not in the champions league,

They speak portuguese in brazil

They speak portuguese in brazil so he could speak to Lucas. And Portuguese and Spanish are similar

That would punching above our weight a little bit.. I don't think we have been in the Market for these 'hyper' players like hulk, aguero etc.. Not without European football.. We may turn some heads and gather interest in January if KK's plan comes together.. I for one am happy so far..

Myk

29 Aug 2011 22:05:37
Liverpool have made a Loan move for Mauro Zarate. Zarate keen, Lazio aren't. Liverpool would also like an option to buy. This one is very interesting but think it may be too late.

Teejay

Is that not the player that while in the stands at match did a certain salute made famous by a certain National Socialist German Workers party?

In comolli we trust!

29 Aug 2011 22:05:29
Ed wats all these rumours about vargas,agbonlahor,higuian,RVP,and coates and that's all tar eds {Ed009's Note - Apart from Coates, they are founded on fantasy and tabloid lies at this time.}

29 Aug 2011 21:50:45
Coates spotted in Melwood earlier today, I am uploading the photo to the sightings section now. Please may we stop with all the nonsense surrounding his transfer?

MansfieldRED

Great photo Mansfield
But it just about could be anywhere
It's Coates Allright
Just a bit of background mate?
Not seen or heard it anywhere else
Nice one tho'
Ta !

Ok yeah i agree it is Coates and he's sat in the passenger seat of a right hand drive Audi, hmm think we have a few Audi's that are leased to the club but there are very few countries that drive on the left like us so the pic does have some merit.

ash240970

Bloody hell mate, what did you expect? A picture taken with Coates holding up the Echo clearly displaying today's headline with his finger next to the date and his Rolex displaying with the time? I think his fingerprints might still be on the pen if you want to call in CSI Breck Road. ;)
Anyway, it's a right hand drive car, so I'm assuming that it was taken in England. But it's a big old place is England.

Another Macca

Not really.considering it's a right hand drive !

29 Aug 2011 21:25:45
Ed can you tell me what you think of bellamy signing?
My sources tell me 75% done

Mr Brown {Ed009's Note - I think there is a fair chance, but wages are a definite stumbling block, as, perhaps, is Cole's failure to move on.}

What does 75% done mean?

It means he signed Craid Bell just got to add the amy now for it to be complete

The last thing as ED stated was the wages, and then of course medical.. but there is competition from spurs 2

Mr Brown

Cole will go eventually,get him in!

75% done? wow whats that, medical done on legs and feet lads, head next and where 100% complete.

29 Aug 2011 21:09:51
Heard it from a very good source LFC will almost certainly put in a deadline day bid for Affelay and Bryan Ruiz and also possibly Adam Johnson too.

Bellamy will NOT be coming to LFC but instead will join Spurs

UnderRed

I see we still have limitless cash reserves!

Why wait till deadline day? Would they not have made a bid already? And what do you think it is a furniture auction? Are just some of the questions I ask myself when hearing ridiculous supposition from morons.

More rubbish.

That would be a team to go all out for title............................ wishful think i think lol

Hope post correct,really do.cant see

"Very good source" lol, jk?

To sign at least two of those players would be fanf***ingtastic. But it ain't gonna happen. Nice pipe dream to have.

BooDaBooze

Is your source jesus or the virgin mary by chance?

I dont understand all this deadline day deal stuff, there's been 3 months to do all this, i understand it all takes time and everythin, hence why deadline day? its exciting for the fans granted, but its also nerve racking wondering if were guna get these placers, so it must be squeeky bumhole time for the managers aswell, im sure KK and co are wise enough to ensure all there dealings are dealt with early, but thats my opinion, you could be right, who knows

Price can sometimes drop dramatically near deadline day. It can also sometimes go the other way too. Teams looking to make a profit or lower the wage bill might be desperate. I could see city settling for 15 mil for Johnson. Agreed that Kenny would get more out of him than Mancini.
GangstaDre

29 Aug 2011 21:07:36
Final piece of the jigsaw is Stevan Jovetic.

"The Sniper"

Right on target sniper!..NOT! :P

Cheers ed's,
Bommy

This jovetic is the guy who gets injured if he washes his teeth with water? and LFC will bid for him?

29 Aug 2011 20:39:08
Finally n'gog will be leaving for Bolton on deadline day.
Sources have correct information about done deal, personal issues to be completed.

Mr Brown

Mr Brown, doesn't that sound kind of like Mr s**t?

Reservoir Dogs anyone? Mr Blonde was a nut...

TheKaiser

Yes Ngog will be leaving for Bolton fee is agreed this evening and the move should go ahead on deadline day, when Liverpool have a deal for a backup striker completed.
Mr Pink

Neil Ruddock was Mr blonde ... But on a serious note i think all of us can consider ourselves lucky fans, we've been backed fantastically and the vision of the club seems on the right track,... Making sure we're on the right train with just a few more comings and goings like n'gog and hopefully bellamy and we're sorted.... Till jan at least↲↲Mr Orange

Heard the same to, just trying to sort out replacement, wages for bellamy, then all will be done an dusted, except a cheeky bid for AJ. Mr White

Stick to politics, Gordon.

my office is literally 5o yards from the main gates at the Villa and i am in and out of there everyday. Now somebody mentioned this on passing and its somehow grown some legs.

Really hope its not true but can Eds see Agbonlahor as a back-up striker? Cant see McLeish letting him go and any money spent on him would be a waste, rather go with Bellamy! {Ed009's Note - Simply because Villa cannot afford to lose anymore players, I can not see him leaving. McLeish, already on tentative ground due to the Birmingham connection, will not want to incense the fans.}

I also believe Agbonlahor is a life long Aston Villa fan, and after bein held back by Gerard Houllier last season, he's determined to show his worth to Alex Mcleish and step up now with no Young or Downing, he also wants in the England team i believe

29 Aug 2011 20:31:51
Coates deal done tonight or in the morning
Mr Yellow

Not the real Mr Yellow.

Mr Yellow {Ed028's Note - Please attach your E-mail Address to the form to avoid this happening again, cheers}

Mr Yellow = ZZZZZZZZZZ........

I could have been as Mr Yellow just repeats stuff we already know.

No Mr Yellow bashing.
He is passing on info and info is way where all on the site in the first place.

29 Aug 2011 19:55:32
Evening Eds,
Do you anticipate Cole going anywhere? If not, do you think it will leave us in a sticky situation in trying to offload a player who shouldn't even be on the bench and would this hamper our chances of getting more decent players in January if needed?
(sorry about the number if questions in there)
Thanks
Ultra Red {Ed009's Note - I think he is allowed to leave if he can find a club but, with the fact that Tottenham may well look at Benayoun (I don't personally understand why considering Pienaar is probably a better alternative), he may well be forced to stay. Naturally, that is far from a good solution for Liverpool.}

Thanks 009,
Just makes me realise even more how many poor deals were completed over the last few years!
Long may FSG continue their good work!
Ultra Red

We should therefore ensure we get bellamy and benayoun.both would do a job,and virtually 2 wages for coles=force spurs hand for cole same time

29 Aug 2011 20:28:19
as much i can't even stand the thought of it, i hear that Gabby Agbonlahor will be a deadline day signing. i honestly hope not!

In fairness to Agbonlahor, he did score 11, 12 and 13 goals in successsive seasons in the Prem. Was less prolific last season due to being a winger more than a striker. So he is getting better. Doubt he'd be worth the exorbitant fee Villa would want though.

TSP

Villa cant afford to lose anymore players! Will never happen!

Pure cr*p, forget about it people.

Wouldnt mind,good on shoulder player in tight games,off bench

29 Aug 2011 20:11:09
Interesting reading on Juan Vargas' wikipedia page... {Ed028's Note - Never believe what you read on there, anybody can enter what they like, I could be the new signing if you give me 10mins!}

You any good? Could you do a job as a 3rd choice striker? I reckon we could secure you a deal of 3 pints per match, and a goal bonus of a packet of pork scratchings! ;)

Emos1892 {Ed028's Note - Make it a packet of Bacon Fries and show me where to sign!}

Would make it interesting in training if Vargas signed after his horrendous elbow on Coates in Copa America.

Ed is 100% right for some reason Wikipedia is quoted as a font of all knowledge. It is the biggest pile of s**te ever assembled since that lot across stanley park. in fact it should be referred to as s**topedia.

29 Aug 2011 20:05:47
Is Afelley injured? Because I'm watching the Barcelona game and he wasnt even a sub...he's sat in regular clothing behind all the subs n that...let's hope we go for him! {Ed028's Note - No he's not injured, well at least not listed as injured}

Afellay is currently injured. Would be a great signing if we test the waters with a late bid.

Out for 5 wks {Ed028's Note - Correct, I stand corrected}

I've heard that i had a problem with his hamstring, but he has started training again - So i guess he has been saved until he gets fit again

Saw on a facebook page that he is training by himself - s

Got to surely go for!!!

No. he is stupid enough to think he would get a spot on the barcelona first 11. we dont want him if he is that stupid or naive.

29 Aug 2011 20:16:09
So, I'm assuming Coates is just a matter of hours away from signing? Anyway, I was a little heart broken about the fact that we missed out on the chance to sign Juan Mata, so I'd love the chance to see Adam Johnson is a Red's shirt. Is there any real evidence that we're interested, or just many many rumours? I'd hate to think we'd be missing out on another star player. If any Ed's could shred even the smallest, reassuring info', it would be really appreciated.
Thanks. {Ed009's Note - I am in no position to tell you the time scale on Coates' transfer, but I have no doubt that all is in hand. We enquired over Johnson a while back, but since then not a button. He is, if Mancini has his way, readily available though, and would fill in arguably the only position we are a little flimsy in - right midfield. A chance, I suppose.}

Guys like you KEEP ON about us missing out on ANOTHER star player.That's the entire point! If we tried to sign all these star players we'd be bankrupt while having the biggest playing staff in the EPL!We'd have at least Aguero,Mata,Higuain,Cahill,Johnson,and now God help us RVP.We don't have a bottomless well of cash like Man City and we have spent a lot with maybe a couple more players still to come but we do have to stop before we go bust!

For the 10th time, will not get Adam Johnson. Never had a chance.

I was told by a friend that Adam johnson is pushing for a move to Liverpool,Fergal harkin who I'm told works at city in some capacity told him

If as ed says mancini would make available,outve all linked recrntly just got to get!lad is superb

Ft9 subject of 35mil million pounds bid by malaga about 10days ago I tried postingof this,, but it wasn't posted, there coming back in tomoz with another bid niw that.would be funny if hes went

Cobham red

Who for? {Ed009's Note - FT9 means Torres.}

Call me thick who is f t 9 {Ed009's Note - Torres.}

Thanks

I think the F may stand for Fictional ha! Stop posting nonsense please.

Corkpoolred

Any truth in this Ed? {Ed028's Note - Not heard anything}

Never thought Malaga would have £35 mill to spend on 1 player and Torres's wages would add a bomb on top of the transfer fee. {Ed028's Note - They are now owned by a wealthy Qatar consortium}

I heard psg put a bid in for ft9?

FT = fictional tosh #9

Trust me, I live in Abu Dhabi and the commercial strength of the gulf states is beyond belief. So the likes of Man City, PSG and Malaga make the spending power of Roman Abramovich look insignificant.

And these aren't rich boys toys!!! This is global investment to promote the individual gulf states, this is long term investement that won't run out of available cash.

As an LFC fan I'd love to say it was a temporary thing that would pass... it won't!

He ain't worth anywhere near that anymore. the pool won a watch getting £50m for him

29 Aug 2011 19:35:15
never posted on this site before but got some factual gossip for once David Batty joining Lfc's backroom staff tomoro Reviethelegend

Yes ive heard he make a right nice cup of tea

More chance of nora batty

Liverpool to sign Sebastian Coates tomorrow for 7mil

Then, on Wednesday, the club will confirm the transfer of Craig Bellamy on a free. His contract will be for 1 year at £70k/wk and if he plays more than 25 games, his contract will automatically be renewed for a second season.

Outgoings:
Poulsen - Espanyol (loan)
David N'gog (4mil with a buy-back clause)

Benayoun to Spurs so they will end interest in Joe Cole who may be stuck with the club if another club doesn't come in.

AZ

Yossi is apparently off to arsenal

29 Aug 2011 18:58:29
Allefay could be on the cards.. can play in many postions availble for less than £7m
Mr yellow

You're an idiot, you're pretending to be ITK when you haven't got a clue - even your spellings are wrong

As much as I have been critical of Mr Yellow for not crediting people that beat him to the rumours, I get the feeling this particular is from an imposter trying to make him look even worse.

This is not the real Mr Yellow.

Mr Yellow

You pretend to know something then at least learn to write the names of the players right you tool.

The guy is a bit of a t**t whoever he is

Hard to tell the difference between Mr Yellow and Mr yellow. Both posting things that have been on these Boards many times. Soon they'll both be "telling" us about signing Henderson from Sunderland soon (and will the be "first to tell us")!

Why doesnt everyone leave the guy alone! He has every right to post what he wants on this site!! Were all liverpool and we all want what is best! If and when you have rumours Mr Yellow i for one am happy to read about them. Many thanks.

Thank you for the last comment
Mr Yellow

He,s injured will be out for five wks that was about 2 wks ago

Hope so

To all those bashing Mr Yellow, please remember that this is a bloody rumours site- and that is exactly what he is providing us with. If you have so much trouble dealing with what he says, scrolling should really help you solve your problem.

Or possibly looking solely at confirmed news on www.liverpoolfc.tv. To me, it makes no sense bashing up a guy for providing rumours on a rumours page. Does it to you?

Ray

Cheers Ray

Late bids for Kaka & Johnson, Inter also very interested in two of our older players. Could be some interesting movement just about to happen.

Very unlikely but would welcome them with open arms!
Skurks

Kuyt an rm to inter an kaka an johnson to lfc wud be happy with that

What about messi and lets dig a bit deeper for ronaldo what u reckon ed.......

ste liverpool {Ed009's Note - I think we could definitely cover Ronaldo's wages and fee after we get rid of N'Gog for 10 million, Degen for 10 million and Poulsen for 20.}

IT wont happen Kaka wont come Liverpool!

Wat a load of rubbish. johnson maybe. but kaka hah

Barca will only accept Messi bid if Poulsen is part of any deal

Don't forget eto!!!!

Kaka and Johnson, yes good players but I don't know if it's just me, but I would not swap Kuyt for anyone. Dirk Kuyt works hard. Dirk Kuyt is a Liverpool legend and to suggest you would swap him for another player tells me you do not know what a true LFC player is.

Messi will only sign if he can play in the carling cup!

Kaka is on some £175k p/w, isnt he? That's more than gerrard! I don't think so somehow mate, because kaka is cack now!

Mine was a joke for those who didnt get it

ste liverpool

Eto'o is now the highest paid player in the world...we couldn't buy him with a Roman chequebook...

Kuyt is a Liverpool player and will always be respected by us...however if legends like Hyypia or Fowler can be sold or let go then Kuyt can as well...

29 Aug 2011 18:16:38
Ed could u tell me about the possible deals about coates,RVP,Bellamy,Walcott and Jonhson everyone saying there signing tar mighty hoipkins {Ed009's Note - Coates will almost certainly sign; Bellamy could sign and so could Johnson, though it is less likely; Walcott and Van Persie? No chance.}

29 Aug 2011 17:46:25
RVP Done on Wednesday and Bellamy tommorow and we will bid for Sturridge in January
Westy 97

Well westy id love that rediculous rumour to be true, rvp part
5 gold stars

No we wont

No chance of RVP mate

Where not gonna get rvp I will believe it when it happens

Absolute nonsense! why you have to make stuff up i have no idea. there's no chance of RVP, the eds have confirmed that. you'll get peoples hopes up and for no reason! Bellamy yeah, rvp no!

RVP NON starter

RVP no chance! Bellamy possible!
Do you really believe that Chelsea who are willing to unload Kalou and the two aging strikers Drogba [ concussed at the weekend and picking up injuries ] and Anelka would sell Sturridge mid season?

5 strikers in january then

Yeah wed really hav suarez carroll bellamy rvp and sturridge grow up

Pretty much no chance of this coming to fruition. RVP is very unlikely, Wenger would be lynched. Bellamy is looking increasingly unlikely too. Sturridge will go into Chelsea's line up after the international break I suspect. He's far from surplus to requirements.

Rush

You really put the 'I' in 'Idiot'!

No chance
RIP96

Fool

ste liverpool

Why the hell do we need three more strickers

rasone

Dream on - Does the "97" refer to your IQ?

Does anybody else realise that his name is Westy 97? Hence the 97 means the year he was born....this guy is only 14, so best to not take any notice of him... {Ed009's Note - The youth are the future though, my friend.}

If the youth are the future, then the future looks very bad. {Ed009's Note - I do not think that it is remotely fair to tar the entirety of the youth with the same brush as you do for some imbeciles; after all, the older generation could easily be blamed for the global warming problem, amongst other things.}

Sturridge very good young talent

29 Aug 2011 17:43:30
Next deal is a possibilty of a sneaky bid of walcott
Mr yellow

I fookin hope not, enrique showed just ordinary he really is at the emirates.

s.p

Lol, this is quoted from comments to your post earlier on "Mr Y...slowly mentioning every player who gets attention on the site"

Please no

And where have you got this from mr yellow?

So DON'T want this to happen just
Not Good enough

Square tomato

Forrest Gump's love child is not good enough for Liverpool.

A wannbe macca

ste liverpool

Mryellow you will be mr red face when all the s**t you chat just dont happen.

He'd be a better fit in the team than henderson who always drifts in.

Looks like I'm in the majority here in saying that he's not yet good enough. However, he's young and is better as a striker than a winger. He's still got potential but is struggling at the moment. Very poor decision maker I think. I don't think this move is impossible, I just think there are better options than Theo.

Rush

I hope not. Headless chicken.
Arsenal have/had four very good players: Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere, and Ramsay. Two are gone; the other two are the only ones we should be interested. The rest are worthless - including RVP, who is trouble.

OMG...seriously...facetious buffoon comes to mind!

Sorry - five good players. Vermaelen: would take him in a heartbeat.

Why are ppl talking like hes a option were looking at we have got henderson

ste liverpool

I was just stating from my source. dont shoot the messenger
Mr yellow

Personally think gerrard is gona play right side with hendo as cover. got 20+ goals there one season. can interact with kuyte suarez up front to cover right and come through the centre etc.
do like walcott but would be an expensive sub

This is not the real Mr Yellow

Mr Yellow {Ed009's Note - Perhaps you ought to provide an email every time you sign off your posts so I can know whether it is you.}

Headless chicken, a bit like aaron lennin, avoid like the plague, we have better

Have you considered you are actually equally culpable as the "messenger" if you post a poor statement without first questioning its veracity (or timeliness)? I see a poor source and equally poor messenger. Only 200 posts in here about Walcott already...

Good point Ed009. Also make sure you get emails from Jimmy and Dave Riddle. He posts responses to his own comments with them also

Lol this is just a stupid impostor look at "Mr. yellow" Y should be in capital letter.

Only thing ill say is ive watched mr.yellows posts,to be fair,a lot come true

29 Aug 2011 17:33:49
Hi Ed, i've seen that you said johnson's a possibility? is there any viable interest? like an enquiry or anything? Thanks {Ed009's Note - By a possibility I meant an outside one. I remember an enquiry earlier in the year, but there has been nothing since. He is only possible because Mancini wants rid of him, and he is exactly the sort of player Kenny would buy.}

Got it from a very reliable source that we will sign Bellamy tommorow. Then we will either sign jonhson or jarvis on the deadline.

You heard it here first

Who's your source? how sure are you?

Are you a "Fail" reporter?

Bellamy 50%
Johnson 35%
Jarvis 0.01%

I am pretty sure Yossi's move will be to Spurs..

Cheers

Macca

Good !
Best news of the day. Ta Macca.
The Real KB

Thanks Makka ! what about our signings ?

ya youssi move to spurs makes sense ! related with modric deal ?

SUAREZ&GERRARD

Thats a shame, whats on the cards for us macca??
5 gold stars

Thanks for the info as always Macca, you got anything to add on Coates or Bellamy? Probs a stupid question, if u did then you'd have said it I suppose....

King Kam

So Cole to spurs off then?

At 31 it was never goner happen to LFC
RIP96

This isn't macca. He only posts in the "macca rumours" section {Ed009's Note - That is incorrect. You can't post in "Macca rumours", but what he says is automatically put on there. I assure you it was the real Macca.}

Like i said harry wants every player we're after

Macca, I'm with you on this one lad. I reckon Levy will take £40m or so on the final day for Modric, but not without kicking up a fuss. Benayoun will probably be part of the deal.

It was closer than you think to happening..The reason we walked away was because they wanted a lot more money from us than anyone else...

Cheers

Macca

Cheers for the update macca!

Well if it's the real Macca why did he say that he didn't mention Ruiz when he did. I saw the post the other day? {Ed009's Note - Because that post was by a fake Macca, not verified by his email. It should not have been posted.}

Pretty sure he will go to arsenal to replace nasri and not spurs

Is there a reason behind your theory?lol>>>

Them wanting more money has some real substance to it, especially after we tanned their arse for £50million for torres!

29 Aug 2011 17:13:53
Ed, if you please take time to comment on the chances of us signing these player: Leandro(Gremio), Bellamy, A.Johnson, Ruiz, Defoe, Marvin Martin, Ryan Boudebouz
Thanks {Ed009's Note - You have suggested a couple of viable signings, and a few that just won't happen. The only options for Martin at this time seem to be staying with Sochaux or, less likely, a move to Arsenal. Ruiz could be a very good shout if you want him to sign for Fulham or Spurs, less so for us. Defoe is not good enough, and I am not sure that Boudebouz is what we need either. I do not know anything of Leandro in relation to Liverpool. That soul destroying negativity aside, both Johnson and Bellamy are possibilities - especially the latter.}

29 Aug 2011 16:39:33
Hi Eds, i'm pretty sure that the Coates deal will go through despite hearing a rumour that he failed his medical...(is this true or false). However what would truly brighten deadline day for me would be the signing of Affeley who is a real up and coming star in my eyes. What are the chances of Liverpool signing the Dutch youngster Eds? {Ed009's Note - As I have said I suppose that there is well a chance due to the player's availability and suitability for our needs. Saying that I know of no interest since last summer, so it is far from likely. On a slightly different tangent, the player is 25 now, so not a wonderkid. I have nothing to add on Coates.}

Coates deal will be sorted tomorrow - KK said in his press conference he was havn the rest of the Weekend off, so stop worrying...

Hope your wrong re.coates and medical.and right-affleley

29 Aug 2011 16:27:51
liverpool on the verge of signing varga and coates before the window closes plus jermaine defoe seen in liverpool heading to melwood

What a ridiculous rumour?
Where's the proof?
And why not leave a name?
Makes me so angry!

Rob

Put a something beleivable about coates and something rediculous about defoe so you still get agrees...brilliant :S

Defoe rumour is stupid

Defoe is on Merseyside. I have seen him myself!!!

He does the paper round cos the normal boy is still on holiday in Yarmouth

If he was headilg to Melwood it was to deliver pizza!

Dont believe but defoes pace did give spurs lot more threat v city.shouldve been on from start.wouldnt say no

29 Aug 2011 16:05:45
We have got to sign Ruiz. I think he would be great in the PL. Similar to David Silva but physically more bigger and stronger . Any chance of it happening Eds??? {Ed009's Note - If you support Spurs, or maybe even Fulham, then yes - a chance.}

We have a great chance, and he is a quality player ive seen him play plenty of times and telling ya he is brilliant

29 Aug 2011 15:22:36
Hey Ed's there was some reports coming out of italy that we have contacted viola for juan manuel vargas , do use know if we are linked with him? thanks {Ed009's Note - We were at the start of the window, when we made a rejected bid. I believe it was fuelled more out of testing the water for left sided players than anything else though, and interest soon stopped, more or less.}

Yea right sure no plate wasnt b0110ks

Think u replied to the wrong post nob!!!!

29 Aug 2011 15:27:41
Black Merc with blacked out windows reg RVP 1 has just pulled into Anfield! Who could it be? Ed 09 put me mind at rest tell me were not gonna let Meireles go, he seems to me to have potential to get much better {Ed009's Note - I can not see Meireles leaving at all. Firstly, I imagine the contract dispute will be settled with haste, in a way that is beneficial to all parties. Secondly, since he injured his shoulder, he will be a far less desirable signing than he would otherwise.}

RVP1 is a Merc but that information is available off the internet. I cant see him joining us, if he did Arsenal are dead and buried

RVP is at training as we speak !!!!!!!!

I think KK is wise enough to know that manu win the league every year because their bench looks good which is what we have at the moment and it will be silly to let meireles go.

hibsylfc

RVP 1 is Roberto Van Patterson. He is the agent for NGOG (and also old Bruno Cheyrou would you believe). I guess this means Ngog might be moving.

Training where tho

These are the most annoying posts, why waste everyones time talking bulls**t, absolute idiot

Askmid says its a RangeRover Vogue TDV6 not a Merc

I think you'll find that RVP1 is actually a LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VOGUE SE A ESTATE 3628cc (2008). More rubbish!

Gocompare has it as a Merc 55 AMG 5349cc Automatic. I would be suprised if it is Van Persie's as its between 5 and 9 years old. Somebody reading one bit of info and turning it in to a rumour.

I heard it was RVP 2...

Askmid.co.uk is motor insurance database which is updated daily. plate must have been on merc before the rangie it's on now

It funny because on rvp twitter he got out his White range rover to get a pic with a kid..

As if RvP would drive to Melwood. Everyone's knows he'll fly in by helicopter. Check HeliReg.com. RVP1 is RvP's own helicopter.

29 Aug 2011 15:17:58
rumour and i say rumour.. that there is a possible merelies plus cash deal for sturridge, can you shed any light on this for us ed... {Ed009's Note - Not a button.}

Very big Rumour at the moment, but it is not likley to happen as Spurs have just agreed to let Luka M go, wait and see things start moving later today with at least 4 players moving to Spurs from the Luka money.

29 Aug 2011 14:56:30
Hi eds ,Guys/Gals,latest from anfield (ex player) we are interested in signing wilfried zaha(what a name)a 18 year old strker from crysal palace.

Hes good but not LFC good

Wow what a red hot leak! Oh no sorry that was in my morning paper that was printed last night.Damn you were fast with this one1

29 Aug 2011 14:51:26
I've Heard From a good source that coates will sign tomorrow and bellemy will be up here for a medical soon and we have put a sneaky 6million bid in for adam johnson and the rumour about RVP is Rubbish Thanks Y.N.W.A KK we trust {Ed009's Note - 6 million would be nothing shy of disrespectful. I hope that we would have more sense than that.}

If we put a 1 infron of the 6 then maybe that wud be a starting point

I think it'll take more than 6 mill , more like 15-18 mill i think i hope we do go in for him though.
Skurks

What makes the 6million bid for johnson "sneaky"? Do man city not know about it? lol

"A sneaky £6 million"? More like a pointless £6 million.He's not for sale and certainly not for a ludicrous £6 million!

6 mil is a joke,
13 mil at minimum we would make for him he would be a great addition though

I think you will find he is for sale, £15 would do it

Maybe it will be a cheeky sneeky 6M offer and nobody in city will know of this offer cause it happened in the idiots head who proposed it.

At least 20 mill they arent stupid,

29 Aug 2011 14:50:51
Pete O'Rourke just replied to me on twitter asking about Robin Van Persie coming to Liverpool and he said this:
No. No idea where it came from. Think I may have been hacked

Oh now there's the least surprising outcome to the daftest rumour for weeks!

It wasnt on his twitter page though

29 Aug 2011 14:29:04
been talking to mate in the liverpool shop today rumour is there is no serious problems with coates transfer just doing loose ends before announcement which will not be made until wednesday.

ngog transfer for 4 million to bolton might happen tomorrow and liverpool will return with an offer of the player and 10 million for cahill.

meireles looks to be heading to chelsea liverpool will demand daniel sturridge and yosi benayoun in a swap deal or thou these might go through as individual transfers.

working hard on getting both poulsen and cole of wage deal either permanently or loan deals

liverpool are still looking for an out and out winger for the right and will test man city by bidding for johnson on deadline day

Miereles won't be leaving.Sturridge and Benayoun won't be coming.We won't get Adam Johnson.If we sign Coates we won't sign Cahill.Apart from that your rumours are great!

We were on about buying juan manuel vargas great player who can play on both wings

You are talking total tosh mate.

I really hate these rumours were some bozo says his mate works at the liverpool shop/ground/melwood etc
maybe this is what really happens
KK.'so Damien we agree £7M for the Coates kid'
DC ' yes, should be a great capture'
KK ' yes indeed. Ok mate sort it out'
DC 'will do Kenny'
KK ' oh Damien, one other thing, don't forget to pop into the shop and let that guy stacking shelves know what we are doing'
DC 'of course Ken, goes without saying'

So you are saying on dead line day where going to sign around 5-6 players ? Why waste your time writing all this ?

LFCHero :)

Love the above KK DC conversation haha ive said similar in the past..why would a shop assistant know LFC's business ??

Ill be back on thursday and repost this

This is what really happens I know for I am DC's assistant

KK.'so Damien we agree £7M for the Coates kid'
DC ' yes, should be a great capture'
KK ' yes indeed. Ok mate sort it out'
DC 'will do Kenny'
KK ' oh Damien, one other thing, don't forget to pop into the shop and let that guy stacking shelves know what we are doing'
DC 'of course Ken, goes without saying'

Who in their right mind woud disagree that's this conversation has occured.

D.C's Assistant

Yes Sturridge and Benayoun for injured Miereles, great deal. Keep up the good work

29 Aug 2011 14:40:57
Right how true this is I'm don't know but I was at middlesbrough fc on Friday (ref advertising) and got talking to a to them about the coming season and my pleasure of how downing has settled in to LFC. The conversation deepened when I was told that downing and Johnson are very good friends and that downing has spoken to him numerous times about life at LFC and Johnson would relish an approach from us. This has since been backed up by a backroom staff member that is now on man citys books but worked with both players at middlesbrough.
As I said I don't know how true this is in respect of it happening but maybe ...... just maybe the final piece ..... the modern day john barnes ??

LFC1

Gonna surprise a few of yall here but i don't reckon he's good enough for us....head down kinda player...cant really see him doing the job for KD for exactly the same reasons as Mancini doesnt fancy him.

Len

About as true as us bringing Messi in on deadline day.

Pleassssssssssseeeeeeeeeee

Again John Barnes is reduced to being an average player...last time it was Elia and now Johnson...

Would be very nice to see but i tthink a backup striker is needed more to us at the minute.
mush

29 Aug 2011 14:08:26
Hi eds with telegraph reporting its between us and Lille for Yossi and announcement to be made today. They are saying he might be used in a deal with Raul going the other way. What info do you have eds? {Ed009's Note - I can't see Raul at Chelsea, I'm sorry. With regards to Yossi, we held definite interest in the player and, with no alternative brought in yet, we can assume it remains a possibility.}

Didn't he have a bit of a bitch about us when he left? Something about better players or a better club at chelski or summat

No! he gave an interview to the Echo saying that in an ideal world he would end his career at Anfield but it's out of his hand's! Alphared

29 Aug 2011 12:55:14
Eds who do yous think we will eventually sign and who will go before wednesday night (no definative answers just possibilities)

D690 {Ed009's Note - Coates and perhaps an attacker - Bellamy, Benayoun and I suppose Affelay are examples of the types of player we are looking to buy. With regards to sales, apart from Degen's likely move to QPR, there is no news.}

What about Joe Cole to spurs? {Ed009's Note - No firm approach has been made. I refuse to go on Flash 'Arry's word.}

29 aug 2011 12:48:42
hello ed what is the situation with coates will de defiantly be signing before wednesday? and seen on ssn that a few clubs will test city over adam johnson, do you think liverpool might be one of them? and finally is rvp and bellamy just rumors or is there any chance of deal?

thanks
{Ed009's Note - I think we can be pretty certain that Coates will sign at this time. His representatives are no doubt working long and hard to finalise the deal, and Kenny will be too. A positive resolution is by far the most likely outcome at this time - but look only to Sylvain Marveaux to see how quickly a transfer can fall apart. Johnson is not a very likely signing, but he is nailed on in comparison to RVP. The Bellamy situation remains much the same as it was a few days ago: it all hangs on wages. I am sure Macca will update you as soon as he can.}

29 aug 2011 12:05:54
hi eds, just read on ssn that city are expecting bids for adam johnson from a number of teams. do you think we could be one of them?
thanks
ellis t {Ed009's Note - I doubt we will sign Johnson, money does remain an object at Anfield I am afraid.}

29 aug 2011 10:42:58
hi eds great site.. i just want your opinion on who do u think will be signing before the close of the transfer window?
coates is near enough done, do you think there might be a surprise?

thanks jay {Ed009's Note - With just three days to go I would not bank on it, but another attacking player is a distinct possibility - certainly we are still looking.}

29 Aug 2011 14:11:05
Nacional representatives flying to London today to finalise the Coates deal.

London?

London? .....its in england mate in fact its the capital

They flew to Lisbon and missed their connection to Manchester. Won;t be landing until 22:00 BST it's on the front page of Ovacion, you can google it

29 Aug 2011 14:07:48
dom_campbell Dominic Campbell
Daniel Sturridge, Adam Johnson, Yossi Benayoun, Matt Jarvis, and Craig Bellamy are the main choices for deadline day deals. #LFC

He then posted saying they were fans choices and not necessarily who the club are looking at.

His status said they are the fans choice not the main unless u have messed up predictive u have got this one wrong
Paul jft96

Bellamy possibly the others no chance!

Hope so

29 Aug 2011 13:45:33
An internal rumour now:
After the 2012/13 season Jamie Carragher will sign a contract with the club as a coach, because he will not be playing regularly and his old contract would have expired.

Would love this to be player/coach contract so Jamie could be used on occasions as he is such a good influence on young players. Also I think it's time for Gerrard to retire from international football to be able to focus on the club and let England build for the future. Just an opinion.
RhI

Would love this too but if I'm honest, I think Mr Hyppia should be first on the list to get back. Imagine a brilliant coaching boot room of the future with Hyppia, Carra etc just like the old sequence of Shankly, Paisley, Fagan etc

29 Aug 2011 13:43:57
Sky sports understand yossi benayoun is going to leave Chelsea this window with arsenal and liverpool two of the few clubs that are in talks with him

What ss you watching ,am watching continuously aint heard that,it sais a number of clubs are monitoring movements ,didnt hear lfc mentioned at all.dont think we want him back ,too old now

29 Aug 2011 13:40:19
I'm from Wexford in Ireland and I was talking to Kevin Doyles cousin the other day, were keevin is from a town near Gorey and he said that Kevin has been contacted by Liverpool there has been no offer for him but Mick McCarthy told him off interest and that something could come of it if they come back with an offer but Kevin has said he isnt sure if he would go because of lack of 1st team football behind Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt. I think he is better than Carroll and very under rated but doesnt look likely either way we are going great guns thank god Super Reds

Ah another wexford man, welcome

Conor

Kevin doesnt come from anywhere near Gorey town so you are talking poo poo, his auld fella drinks in my local which is close to Wexford town, not Gorey

So he's been tapped up?

I keep posting this each time the Doyle rubbish surfaces so why stop now.
Doyle will be 28 in a couple of weeks and scored just 8 goals for Wolves all last season so why the hell would we chase after him?There are better players around by far.

Kevin doyle is from adamstown which is nearly a 45 min drive from gorey so its clear you jusy makeing this crap up

And sure how are the little people doing in wexford?

Will the leprehaun lead me to thr crock of gold so that I may one day see nirvana?

At this moment lewis carrols better than andy

29 Aug 2011 13:16:06
Eds what do think of this rumour from the Telegraph?

If Benayoun returns to Anfield then it might pave the way for Raul Meireles to leave Liverpool. It's understood the Portuguese international, currently out injured, wants to quit Merseyside because he believes his first-team opportunities will be limited by Kenny Dalglish's summer signings.
Chelsea have expressed an interest in acquiring Meireles and it's understood the two clubs are discussing the possibility of Benayoun being included in a player-plus-cash exchange.
However Liverpool would prefer Meireles, if he is to leave, to move abroad and not remain in the Premier League. With the midfield signings made by Dalglish, Meireles has lost his place in the starting XI for now. He was injured in the Carling Cup last week.
Meireles is thought to be available for around £11m “ although Liverpool may demand more from Chelsea “ and is admired by Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas who worked with him briefly at Porto.
Benayoun has indicated on his Twitter site for the past couple of weeks that he is likely to leave Chelsea, who he signed for last summer, and recently gave up his number 10 shirt to new arrival Juan Mata.

Surely we would be better keeping Raul and adding Benny not swapping them

Meireles only played one game under Villas Boas - hardly 'worked with him'

How anyone can think KK would sell Meireles to Chelsea and take Benayoun as part of a deal is crazy. Benayoun is a bit part player who did nothing in his first spell at Anfield. Whenver he came on he looked light and physically not strong enough for the premiership. One only has to go back to Arsenal game to look at the class Meireles has. Big mistake to let him go

No way raul for yossi.

Benayoun did nothing in his first spell? He won us the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 in Madrid. He also scored in the 94th minute once against Fulham to give us 1-0 (I think) win. That was the year we should have won the title. He also scored 3 hat-tricks for us. I think it is harsh to say he did nothing, and whilst I think Raul may be the better player overall (although they are very different) they would each be welcomed by me.

29 Aug 2011 13:25:02
Coates and maybe Bellamy will be our last signings.
Forget rumours about any other players being bought by 31st it's absolute nonsense, particulary the Van Persie rumours. Total crap, purely based on the 8-2 scoreline yesterday. I can just imagine the scenario now, full time whistle goes at Old trafford and DC phones VP's agent. "do think your man will sign for Liverpool" ? Agent: "Dead right mate, he told me today, that if Arsenal get thrashed today, he will definately sign for you". DC: Fantastique, will 30m be enoug" Agent: "absolutely"

I trust the person 100% The person who has told me Coates and Bellamy will be the only signings

KB

I laughed out loud at this, nice mate

hulmerous

29 Aug 2011 13:09:45
Please post Ed's because am sick to death of these rvp rumours, commoli used to do at arsenal what he does at liverpool now, it was clearly a big game an he propably just got invited for dinner and to watch the match. There is noway on this earth were going to spend 30-million+ on a 3rd choice striker.

Thanks 5TIMES

Comolli worked for spurs not arsenal so you are wrong. Who knows and who cares why he was there it's none of our business so.....stop guessing

I think you'll find Commolli worked with both Arsenal and Spurs there buddy!

Actually, DC also worked for Arsenal... in fact, he discovered Thierry Henry. So stfu as you obviously don't know s**te

He worked for both arsenal and spurs so you are wrong!

Have we not spent 35 million on a third choice striker already ?

29 Aug 2011 13:03:32
Come on £30m for Van Persie, for that money we could buy Coates, Kaka & Afellay. I am over the moon with what KK has done so far (squad & coaches). Coates will be the iceing on the cake for me, anybody else will be the cherries on top.

Looking forward to a really exciting season!
K79

I agree that RVP won't be coming but just to point out to you my friend, Kaka says he does not want to leave R.Madrid.

Also, I am of the belief that RVP's injury woes MAY be down to the training at Arsenal. I heard the commentators mention during out match V them, that a lot of their players seem to get injured, you have to question the training reigems that go on at Arsenal...

Jus' Sayin'....

29 Aug 2011 13:00:53
Get Bellamy for a free this year and then Rodallega for free next year. Good business in my eyes!

Lew

In a year's time we will be able to look at a lot better options than Rodellega.

Well said/true be pleased with

29 Aug 2011 12:44:35
Liverpool will not sign Rvp, what a load of rubbish. We will sign Coates & Bellamy, which we already know

Sbc

Bellamy is going to spurs

29 Aug 2011 12:43:58
Rumours about RvP coming to Liverpool are pathetic, firstly we wouldnt pay £30m+ for him as we have already spent over £50m this year on 2 strikers.
Id be quite happy if N'Gog went to Bolton and we signed Park Chu Young.
A sneaky bid for Adam Johnson may well be thrown in on deadline day.
Sebastian Coates should sign before the transfer window shuts, but i expect us to still look for another central defender as we were looking for one before kyrgiakos left. Expect Dann before Cahill.
We already look like a force this year with our other additions and with these our squad would be miles better than Arsenal's and Spurs'.
YNWA
LFC1802

Well sorry but not going to happen about park chu young he is undergoing a medical today at arsenal ...

I thing dann is qpr bound

I think Arsenal have sold enough players and Wenger will not sell any more, especially not such a vital player like van Persie.
Park Chu Young and Cahill are clearly going to Arsenal.
Johnson isn't going to leave City.
Coates is imminent, Birmingham want to sell Dann because of his wages and could sign as well, because Arsenal's maion defensive targets are Cahill, Jagielka and Metresaker - Dann is contingency.
Only other competition for him is QPR.

Park Chu Young has been a name I liked myself. Until I realised, that we may only get to keep him for 2 more years.

Not to start the entire debate again, but I admit that I snuck in on Arsenal Rumours to se what mood they were in. A lot of talk going on there about Young as well. Apparently he can only play football until 2013 due to a Korean rule (both North and South) stating, that any able man must serve 2 years in the army before the age of 28 (some claim 30) anyway this rule cannot be avoided. Used to be able to avoid it if they did well in National Team, but this dispensation was erased in 2007 as it was unfair to other sports' athletes.

If anyone thinks Ji Sung Park has avoided it the answer is no. He allegedly served his 2 years when he was 19, so he is home free.

Sorry for the long note - but that pretty much sums all of the debate up - and that could be one of the reasons that KK and DC dropped interest in the player.

What do you say Ed?

/DanishKopite

Park Ji Sung never served military service because the entire 2002 World Cup squad was given exemption from military service for reaching the semi finals.

Park Chu Young may receive a deferment to serve at a later time. But as of right now, he must enter the military in 2 years time as per South Korean law.

I don't know where you got the bit about the North Koreans. Who knows what they do.

29 Aug 2011 12:26:01
Now Coats is all but in, the only other player we will bring in is Belamy on a free. He is trying to get City to pay up the final year of his contact.
hopefully we can get rid of the dead wood in the next 48hrs.
Cole to Spurs
Ngog to Bolton
Poulson - who cares!!

Banachek

Lol re poulsen

29 Aug 2011 12:13:48
read somewhere ruiz has a buyout clause of 13.1m.should get him at that price.DORSET RED

29 Aug 2011 12:05:34
robin van persie is the new kun aguero. lol
arsenal would never sell him to us this late in the window, not after losing cesc, nasri, the fans.
even if rvp put in a transfer request and we offered 100m they just couldnt sell. they have no time to replace the players they have already lost.

MIKEY
(stating the obvious since 1985)

Mikey, you mean the way they've replaced Cesc and Nasri? Arsenal are greedy and if someone offered 30m they'd accept, but I accept that we won't be offering for him. Why would we when he have enough first team strikers?

LFC Eaton

29 Aug 2011 11:55:13
Sky sports claiming adam johnson is attracting interest from several top clubs from england, spain, italy etc. they expect bids to test the waters and see how willing city are to hold onto him after the arrivals this summer.

Willster :)

I don't think that we will get AJ but I think he could do really well elsewhere. It won't be fair in the lad if MC wouldnt sell him. He need 1st team football and I believe he could do a lot of damage in the EPL if he got the chance.

Myk

Strange how they can't name any - surely if there was any substance to the story, one or more of the clubs would be named. It's obvious that most top players interest other clubs. Thanks Sly for once again stating the obvious to boost your betting market.

29 Aug 2011 11:53:36
I know I'll probably get some stick for bringing this rumour back up, but sky are reporting that offers are expected for Adam Johnson, with clubs from England, Italy and Spain all interested. Obviously there has been some degree of interest from us in the past, but my question is, is there still interest? And is a bid from us likely?

29 Aug 2011 11:52:21
Got back from holiday yesterday.minibus picked us up upstairs at Manchester terminal 2as it's easier.Kenny was going into the terminal alone .any ideas where he might be heading,short break as no game or scouting mission ta mark

He said in his lfc interview post Bolton he would look to get away for a couple of days to recharge batteries... not sure if toung-n-cheek, genuine etc..

Richards

To catch a flight maybe..

Made up post, if he were going for a break then marina would be with him

Liverpool will not sign Robin Van Persie. This rumour was started by deluded fans that saw Comoli in the stands against United and put 2 and 2 together and came up with 12323424356778685.35434654346634645

Coates in which will be savage. Let us realistic fans enjoy that capture when it happens.

I do hope we get one more attacking player though. Think we could spring a suprise too for it. Please note I said suprise, not miracle.

Davey Sulls.

He was in the stands watching the football match

Did you get a blister on your finger when you were typing in the answer to that maths problem mate?

Just a little bit exaggerated is all I'm saying :)

29 Aug 2011 11:28:27
Not a rumour. I advice everyone to STOP saying stuff about Van Persie!! Just forget it!! It wont happen!! Im SURE RVP will still be a Arsenal player on 1st September!

You must have missed yesterday's game mate. Utd only scored 1 less that Ireland did against England at the rugby. It's hard for a club to lift itself after that and very easy to become disillusioned.

29 Aug 2011 11:26:51
Liverpool have not, and will not bid for Robin Van Persie! You are delusional if you think we will bid £30mil for an injury prone player with no re-sale value. So stop with the bull! If your going to make stuff up, then at least make it believable! (post this On rumours please ed)

On the blog on Skysports they saying that there are host of clubs that are interested in Adam Johnson from Manchester City and are trying to get him before the close of the transfer window.

Does anyone know if Liverpool are pursuing him?

Prelen

ADAM IS UNHAPPY IN CITY YES. If Liverpool offer he will join yes. but City wont let it happen for sure. unless Adam become free Agent

I am getting confused about the sebastian coates rumours. Some people are saying we've agreed a fee. I saw him at the match on saturday but after the match King Kenny refused to talk about him signing. Great site keep it up :)

Kenny refuses to talk about any player not playing for us and won't comment on rumours...

Are both Liverpool and Arsenal still in for Kevin Doyle? And could there be a bidding war on transfer deadline day? thanks

29 Aug 2011 09:47:02
dann is going to qpr

If dann wants EPL football for more than 1 season then he shouldn't sign for QPR.Pretty sure he won't anyway!

Seriously?
I heard that Daily Mail were suggesting that.
Clearly not going to happen then.
No LFC sources.

David N'gog is a player who Liverpool are not keen on selling. They know that potentially a year of consistent football could be the making of him. He has all the attributes (pace power finishing movement) of a top forward.

For this reason, the club want to either loan him out for a small fee or to sell him with an option of a buy-back clause withing 2 years of selling. The latter is most likely with a 4mil fee being agreed and liverpool to have the option to buy him back for 7.5mil before September 2013.

AZ

Pace, power, finishing, movement, top forward? are u watching the same n'gog cause the one we have is about as useless as the white crayon, our n'gog has no determination, ruthlessness, looks like he dosnt want to get hurt, he cudnt even finish a sunday dinner, he wouldnt run though brick walls for this club, he must pinch himself every day saying i cant believe im a footballer

You must be David N'Gog himself to know such details of his impending transfer! :)

Cheers Ed's
Bommy

Good wind-up! n'gog has none of the attributes you spoke of, and even stevie wonder can see that. ask ian st john his views on n'gog!

Since the ONLY way Ngog will get consistent football will be with another club you may have a point but if he goes I don't believe he'll ever be re-signed by us.

This has to be the funniest post of the transfer window. If your are not the current occupant of the job, then you should definitely become N'Gog's agent. The truth is that our David is lazy, too timid, arrogant, disinterested and has the movemnet of a sack of coal (which will ultimately have more value on a cold, wet winter's night).

We are having so much difficulty selling him, why would we want to buy him back? Where will it all end - buy back clauses for Degen, Poulsen and Insua?

Commoli has bid 18.5Mil for RvP which has been rejected. Liverpool are to up the bid befpore wednesday when if another bid would be rejected. RvP will turn in a transfer request on wednesday...
YNWA
AWNY.

Do you personally know RVP? If not then how would you know he will hand in a transfer request? Assuming of course Liverpool have made an offer (unlikely) and assuming Arsenal would listen to an offer for their best player on the last day or the transfer window.

In short....don't be ridiculous

OH OH OH! Transfer Request on Wednesday! Wouldn't you think it's a little too late for the papers to go through and settle the deal? =P?

Where on earth did you hear that.....wait let me guess, twitter???
Good source, sound like BS to me.

Ozred

Hey ed is there any substance to this? {Ed007's Note - No.}

Wenger would laugh himself sick at an £18 mill offer for Van Persie which is why it would be rejected [ not that I believe we ever made an offer ] and if VP [ unbelievably ] did hand in a transfer request on Wednesday so what? If VP did leave Arsenal it wouldn't be to us and for the outrageous £32 mill some idiots are quoting!

Hmmm?.... not sure about thie one

Given we now put such emphasis on buying players who have consistently played for their club and are not injury-prone (e.g. Downing) why the hell would we put in a bid for Van Persie when the lad is obviously made from glass??

29 Aug 2011 07:40:29
Park Chu young - £8.5 million to arsenal
Kevin Doyle - £10. Million to arsenal

Robin Van Persie - £32. Million to Liverpool
Craig Bellamy - FREE to Liverpool

If Mr Wenger is prepared to pay £10 million for Kevin Doyle who will be 28 in 3 weeks time and scored a grand total of 8 goals in all competitions for Wolves last season that will prove he's totally lost the plot. If you believe we have £32 million to spend on a 28 year old who is becoming more and more injury prone then you've lost the plot for certain.

The way arsenal are playing at the moment, they need Bodie & Doyle!!

Big fan of RVP but not at that price. I think that he would offer exactly the type of versatility that we need up front. However, I think that with his age and injury record £20million would be closer to the mark. Remember we only paid £24million for Luis.

For the money being quoted here, I would like to see a quality finisher (who has a little bit of pace) like Benzema, Higuain or Rossi being added to the squad. Obviously attitude would have to play a big part in the final selection as we don't need any prima donnas upsetting the dressing-room.

Coates deal will be finalised this afternoon after being granted a work permit. Deal worth in the excess of £7.million plus add ons.

Fingers crossed.
king henry

Not today as bank holiday, if anything it will be tomorrow. working day!, ynwa

Just a simple question.Can a work permit be obtained on a Saturday,Sunday,or a Bank holiday Monday? If not when was the work permit processed?

29 Aug 2011 07:32:19
Arsene is only willing to let RVP go to Liverpool if Arsenal can secure the signings of park chu young and Kevin Doyle.

Hi ed. I've seen a lot of comments about us bidding £30mil for Robin Van Persie??? Is this true? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Camolli was sat in the directors box yesterday at Old Trafford, an we dont play United for another month so i doubt it was a scouting mission! So who was he watching?

I think we shud bid for wilshere, top player and wud prob leave

I hope would love him here

Course its true.....if its on twitter must be true

ste liverpool

I have watched a lot of rubbish being banded about across this website in terms of bids for Arsenal Players. Normally I am an intrigued observer, however, this has really gotten out of hand. Ok, Damien Comolli was at the game yesterday, but why does this instantly mean we are going to bid for Arsenal players?? Some fans on here seem to be dreaming!!

I'd imagine he was watching all 22 players - with being Director of Football for a PL club, that often mens you can get great seats for any game, and Ma United vs Arsenal isn't a game you'd want to miss, whoever you work for!

Eds - am I te only one who genuinely thinks Commolli was just there to watch the game? {Ed007's Note - No mate, I do as well.}

Unless comoli was lucking at vermalen

Bull sh*t,arsenal wouldnt sell in the position theyre in at the mo,so stop saying that

Ed, have we bid 30 mill for RVP could there be a deal or no deal? {Ed007's Note - I don't know it could be a 'countdown' to see if the Arsenal team morale is 'the weakest link' at the club. It would be a 'blockbuster' signing and show KD is the 'mastermind' for LFC to 'strike it lucky' in the 'supermarket sweep' of the transfer market. Personally I think it would be 'pointless' but 'take your pick' and you never know, it is all 'win, lose or draw' and comes down to the 'eggheads' that balance the books and spin the 'wheel of fortune'}

Ed007 that was fantastic.. HAHA EL P {Ed007's Note - It's been a long day ;-) I couldn't resist.}

You put alot of thought into that reply ED! nice one! Alphared

That, ed007, was genius

Best Reply from an Ed Ever!!! thats class

It would be the "sale of the century" !

Quality response! This site would be boring without the Eds.

Without doubt the best reply from an ed!! Absolutely savage!!

TIDDY BOY

Nice one ed i like it, although i honestly think liverpool can have anyone they want if "the price is right".

Yes ed but he does have a golden shot,jimmybosun,

I'd say the odds of us making a bid for him are 'fithteen to one', but not sure that 'the price is right'

sorry

Kebabthief

I know this for certain- because the ink is not yet fully dry on the Aguero contract, Commolli has used his Jedi mind tricks to activate a £60mill 'degrease' clause, whereby we guarantee to pay Aguero's £120,000-a-week hair gel bill for five years and in return he plays all the European games for us.

Reminds me of Shearer on MOTD. Aye, the lads have been "dancing on the ceiling"!

Words of wisdom

Superb
