Yes, defo need a strong tackling midfielder, like Mascherano i think, M'vila, Javi Martinez or Banega would be fantastic i think. Funnily enough, the M'vila + french players rumours seemed to have gone a bit quiet recently, maybe cos of this bloody Barton stuff. . God i hope he doesn't join, what to you think the chances of him joining are ed? mind you he is 28 as well. {Ed001's Note - I think it is highly unlikely to happen, there are a lot of players Kenny likes but we can't buy them all!}

What do you think the chances of striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, Pjanic, Dimitri Payet, Mamadou Sakho, Cissokho, Adam Johnson, Richards coming in and Alberto Aquilani (better tha the likes of Charlie Adam) staying feel he was given time to prove himself under Rafa and roy but when he did play he did well like he is at juventus currently also what do you think of Joe Cole's position at the club will he leave to a london/ midlands team or will he stay

Cole's position is constrained by his signing on fee and may require the contract to be cancelled or much of the fee to be paid to the player.}

Ed, what do you think the chances are of Jack Wilshere coming to Liverpool? A number of times Kenny has talked up the youngster and rates him very highly. Not posted on here for a long time but I love all this speculation and guess work. Lets look at the facts. We know there will be a lot of coming and going over the summer (I strongly believe more going than coming) We also know we have a set transfer policy (ie young and value for money with a potential for profit on sell on value if needed.) Also we know we have in the past gone for quantity and not necessarily high quality. And as an aside something has clearly been said to the senior players to make them stay (sg, jc, and in particular jr) Also there must have been something promised to bring suarez to anfield. I believe there will be high quality ins ( I strongly believe alonso is on way back even though he goes against youth policy)and at least one marquee signing otherwise what has changed to keep players happy (so don't rule out players of the calibre of aguero and hazard or even better).

Liverpool have already started putting their squad together for next season's Premier League title challenge with the signing of Sylvain Marveaux.

The free transfer for the Rennes midfielder was agreed in April, with the former France Under-21 coming to the end of his contract, but the details of his Merseyside contract are now being revealed by French newspaper L'Sport.

The respected French paper reports that the attacking midfielder, previously of interest to Manchester United and Chelsea before his injury, has agreed a four-year deal with a possible fifth year based on appearances and performance.

The left-footed winger has played just 10 league games this season, having picking up a serious groin injury in November. but still achieved one goal and two assists.

And that form is believed to have attracted the attention of Liverpool's French director of football Damien Comolli, who plays a pivotal role in the club's European recruitment policy.

{Ed002's Note - L'Sport has this morning said he has agreed a four year contract with an optional fifth year. All they are doing is releasing details of teh contract that is on the table and likely to be agreed. Any transfer has to wait until (a) July 1 when his contract will have expired; or (b) when Rennes cancel his contract and he can sign as a free agent (which would probably not be before the international transfer window opens around the beginning of June. let's hope he doesn't become a hate figure too early in his Liverpool career.}

Ed I'm from northern Ireland and play for greenisland. There's Been suggestions that Josh Carson as well as conor wickham are being looked at by Liverpool. Have u heard anything? Great job use are doing on here thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know of interest in Carson but Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs have shown an interest in Wickham. I suspect he will spend another year at Ipswich rather than warm the bench elsewhere.}

Meireles was an amazing buy as was luis and Ramires for Chelsea. If u agree what's the chances of hulk and rolando? Thanks {Ed002's Note - We have known of possible Liverpool interest for some time. We seem to be linked with alot of random players that won't be coming , i do think kenny n comolli are looking around at all possibiltys for example left back - baines , enrique , wendt , armero , clichy. I think they will take everything into consideration , age , value , wages , injury prone , consistency etc etc. I still think the main targets are , cb- cahill/ sahko , lb-enrique / baines. He would probably be no more than a squad player for Liverpool, and he is expected to move to St-Etienne, Caen or Lille in any case. In the interview that Guerra gave to italian press / website he said it was important that Napoli do not lose such an important player as Lavezzi . This was jumped on by Napoli and the Italian press as the agent using Liverpools attention over the past 12 months as leverage. The same day he also stated that Lavezzi was "going nowhere" as well as denying interest from Barca and a host of other "not interested" clubs. His deal is with Napoli till 2015 so the "rumours" wouldn't be to get a better deal with them.
Maybe Eds can confirm but is he not the same agent who handled Hatem Ben Arfa / Newcaste deal.
As far as im aware Liverpool have never denied the supposed interest over the past twelve months?

Hey Ed, I was wondering if I could ask this question, please give me your views.

I personally don't understand why we are looking for a CM.

We are definitely going to buy a winger in the summer, therefore, if we play the 4-4-2 with Suarez and Carroll, Kuyt will probably play on the right unless one of our strikers is injured. We currently have Lucas, Gerrard, Meireles, Spearing and Shelvey who can occupy that CM position. If we play with 2 wingers next season, then we only need 2 CM's, which currently we have 5 of. So what is the need of buying another CM.

And one more thing, are we looking for another forward as well?

However, it was always expected that teh squad would be strengthened with a central midfield player and someone of the calibre of Moussa Sissoko might be bought in with a view to eventually replacing Gerrard. Adam has been linked more than any other single player I guess, personally I have never been convinced by him. It seems Kenny Dalglish has his eye on Joey Barton who can play in either central midfield or wider if needs be. I remain very surprised by this interest myself, as does Liverpool supporting Ed001 who is by no means keen on Mr Barton moving to Anfield. I agree that there is a priority for width. As for another striker, I am sure that Liverpool do want a viable quality striker to give options - This will likely be at teh expense of N'Gog.}

Brother-on-law lives in Milan, and the roumour going round at the moment is as follows:
Sneijder is off to the Mancs, for a fee in the region of £30m, and Inter have made a certain Steven Gerrard their top target as his replacement.
Inter are struggling finacially and they see Gerrard as a quality and, in view of his age, fairly cheap replacement.
Apparently (and this is also part of the rumour in Milan), Inter have already been in contact and initially offered an exchange option, with Eto'o and Pandev on offer.
Personally, I think Eto'o would be an absolutely perfect buy for the club - Scored where-ever he has played and works hard for the team.
No fee for Gerrard has been quoted (if we do not want a swap), but I am sure £12-£15m would be enough and, before everyone slates me saying he is worth a lot more - - - be honest, how many 'quality' games has he had in the last 2 seasons???? - Not many, and a lot of our best performances have taken place when he has been sidelined.
Absolute legend, but time to let him go while we can still get some money for him!

Ngog and Cole are off to Newcastle in the summer with Enrique and Barton coming the other way, plus c£5m.
Personally, I know Barton is a thug (as is Carroll), but no-one who has watched him over the past 3 or 4 seasons can doubt his quality - One of the best and most consistant midfielders around, who always fights (sometimes literally) for the cause, and I thinh KK is the man the tame him a little.
Another player on the way is: Defoe - deal done.

These would really be top signings. .Just imagine defending a corner with Andy and Mertersacker lurking, Counter-attacked by the very fast Wakaso, Piatti and Suarez. {Ed002's Note - There has been Liverpool (and Arsenal and Weder bremen) interest in Mertesacker and it is thought the player has Arsenal as a preferred destination. It is also thought Spurs may declare an interest. There also seems to be some interest in Baines from both Liverpool and Manchester City. Piatti seems to be heading for Atletico Madrid or Valencia (probably the team that do not get Arda Turan).}

Liverpool are planning on a shock £30m move for Jack Wilshere who Kenny rates very highly. I feel this will all depend on if Cesc Fabregas moves this summer and if liverpool come up with a very large sum of money.

Liverpool to sign:

N'Zogbia - £10m (Relegation candidate, good deal)
Jarvis - £8m ( )

Dzsudzsak - £13m (World class player)
Enrique - £8m (Good, young left back, with PL experience)
Barton - £6m (Versatility player, apparently Dalglish is a fan!)
The emergence of Flano, means Kelly can return to his preferred Centre back, and no new players will be needed foor either position with Ayala returning too.

£55m altogether for N'Zogbia, Jarvis, Rodellega, Dzsudzsak, Enrique and Barton.
Players to make instant impacts on the first team squad.

On top of this another £25m + player sales will be invested on up and coming youth:
Thorgan Hazard, Coutinho, Sergio Canales, Connor Wickham, A. Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jon Williams, Connor Thomas(loan atm), Blaise Matuidi and Phil Jones are all being watched.
To be honest though, this part of the transfer dealings will be dealt with entirely by Comolli with Kenny's only input being whether he see's a future for the player in his revolution. I'm also clueless as to who Comolli will eventually recommend, and there will most likely be somebody not even on this list!

P.S. Maxi, I've always seen as a good squad player. Cole, lets be honest needs another year to prove himself. Aquilani was poor first year, left on loan, now we all call for him back, but too late, he wants out! Plus he'll be needed for the 8 Homegrown: Johnson, Carra, Barton, Spearing, Gerrard, Jarvis, Cole, Carroll.

Was at a charity do last week in Kirkby was talking to Leighton Baines as much as I'd like him at us he said he wouldn't do it not right UNLESS and I mean UNLESS everton say they need money he was saying about us going for Gael Clichy and he's off there to replace him.

As I said I'd like but not looking likely!

Hey eds someone told me that it is bar tons agent talking upnthe move to generate interest and get Newcastle to sort out the contract? Have ye heard different? I dispise the guy and it's my birthday still for another five mins and I've told my missus if he signs it's the worst birthday present ever lol

Fowler is god {Ed001's Note - I believe it is just talk, there is real interest from Dalglish, but, like I said earlier, Barton doesn't fit the transfer criteria that has been set. I really can't see any move being made. I hope!}
