Hi all, read today that a few clubs are looking at Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow. Is there any prospect of Liverpool going in for him? The figure they were quoting was £16 million which I think Liverpool would be willing and able to pay given they're saving half a million a week on wages and the fact he's only 24. I don't really know much about him, he looks a bit like Didier Drogba, whether he plays like him is another matter! Very good scoring record in the Swiss and Russian leagues, but Premier league is obv different kettle of fish!

We have a new scout who specializes in Russian players/league so I am certain if this player is quality, we will be looking at him already. aklfc
He has no birth ceritifcate and has been recorded as playing in the Ivorian 1st division 14 years ago; making him 10 years old and playing in there top division
So nobody knows his true age

Hi eds reds . There seems to be loads of people talking about D Villa again has there been any news as I have not read any thing ? Have any of the eds heard any strong rumours on this . Cheers

David Villa to sign in January for 12m he will solve goal scoring problems. 3 year contract
Also Enrique will be sold as Rodgers Dosent rate him. Carroll may be returned we don't know yet.
So pleased if BR does not rate Enrique, who is one of the worst footballers to ever wear our shirt.

David villa will arrive in january on loan,the club will also put a bid in for walcott,whether or not he comes is a different matter.
I'm thinking of putting a bid in for these two myself just to add a bit of excitement to this dull old rumour. Anyone lend me a fiver?

Why bother just posting the same thing three times in an effort to start momentum? I would love us to get a top class striker but if he wouldn't come here when Torres and a host of Spaniards where here then we have no chance then.

Hi Eds please post this..first time poster and want you to post this...
only expect 1 signing for definate in January maybe 2 maximum...was told that Rodgers wants a goalscorer as we all do and these 3 names are being considered so expect 1 of the..forget your llorentes, Villas, Damiaos....we have no chance...the names are:
1. Adrian lopez
2. Kevin Gameiro
3. Facundo Ferrerrya
Also if a 2nd signing is made it will be an attacking winger forward and Jeremain Lens is being looked at.
Also Rodgers will try and ship Joe Cole in January, Downing will stay til next summer unless suitable buyer comes in and Enrique will be shipped next summer too as Robinson is seen as the future lb for the pool
Hope this helps and personally would like to see Kevin Gameiro up front was class for Lorient..reminds me of Defoe

I agree Joe Cole is rodgers type of player but it seems his age and wages are too high and Rodgers wants more pace to the wings and wants to leave the emerging talent come through such as Raheem as winger/forward and Suso as attacking midfielder
As you all know things do change so hope we get a GOALSCORER and maybe 1 other
