We're we not looking at him for the January transfer window instead of Diaz. Spurs forced our hand going for Diaz but read somewhere we were in negotiation with Porto over him at the time. Was there any truth is this ed2.

Who do you think would be good additions in our midfield this summer?
The best options who I know of are going to be highly unrealistic, Gallagher Bellingham types.
Are there more realistic options out there who you think would be a good signing?

{Ed002's Note - Obviously both Gallagher and Bellingham would be very good additions but Liverpool won't be signing either this summer. As I have said before, I think something can be done with Fabio Carvalho as long as the club don't try to low-ball Fulham. Youri Tielemans is available, has been scouted and would be a good signing - but there is interest from elsewhere. I would hope that Klopp is persuaded to drop his interest in Renato Sanches. Bissouma would be a very good signing but interest may have moved on. But if you want my opinion, there is ex Manchester City youngster, Seko Fofana, who plays for Lens who is attracting the attention from elsewhere. I am told by someone from one of the interested clubs that they think he will only get better - and he has the knack of scoring goals. But Liverpool has no interest as far as I know.}

for me its bellingham or nothing from that list.
Tielemans looks good on a highlight reel but whenever i have watched him for a full 90mins i have come away thinking what's all the fuss about?
Sanches - no thanks totally average and injury prone.
Bissouma- sadly comes with too much baggage and would not come cheap.

I think a lot will depend on Salah. If he stays then I just see 1/ 2 midfielders coming in and that’s your lot.

Salah = Irreplaceable
Bellingham = Cracking young player but not at Liverpool level yet?
Bissouma= Klopp has moved on too much baggage
Tielemans= Not the best midfielder at Leicester
Otavio= Bang average, bad temperament
Sanches= Waste of time
Best 2 signings for LFC this summer are Salah on a 4 year deal and Martinelli as a Bobby replacement.

Shughes55- Bellingham is good enough to get in our starting line up now, he will have to play well to nail a spot but he’s currently good enough, his potential though is through the roof and he could be talked about as one of the best players in the world in the not too distant future.
