Is James Rodriguez likely to stay at AS Monaco or leave as he looks pure quality? Who is interested, if anyone?
Also who is interested in Juan Cuadrado?

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has been subject to the interest of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus and his co-owners, Fiorentina & Udinese. Manchester United, Spurs and Liverpool have had the player watched. Juventus has confirmed that they will not be following up. Barcelona were looking to replace Dani Alves with Cuadrado but due to the delay in the sale of Alves have probably lost out to Fiorentina who are finalising the purchase of the rights held by Udinese. That will allow them full control over the future of the player. An auction between Monaco, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona would suit them, else they will keep him another season.}

Just a quick one for the eds or anybody else who has info.
What is happening with Julian draxler?

I think he would be a great player

{Ed002's Note - There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I expected a deal might be brokered this summer and Arsenal are the team that have consistently pushed for a deal. The player has given mixed responses to interest from Arsenal and they will have moved on now. PSG are looking for a player of that style but are likely looking elsewhere now. Schalke don't want to sell but another option to be offered by Bayern Munich and AC Milan is a pre-payment and a one year loan back to Schalke. Although I think the chance of a move to Italy very unlikely now with Milan's interest elsewhere.}

ed 1 yesterday you said you knew little about whether we had any interest in markovic an whether we would attempt to sign him but you'd investigate. just wondering if you have any info now?
Also if there is interest in markovic, would be an either-or between him and shaqiri or is both possible?
If it is an either all, i'd like peoples opinions as to who youd rather sign (Id rather get shaqiri)

good news as i'd rather see shaqiri coming in which is looking relatively likely

I'd love the pair of them, but if I had to choose it would be Shaqiri for me aswell, as I feel Markovic is still too young and £25M is a very steep price tag, as is £25M for lallana.

Markovic is a year younger than Shaqiri, no?

Has anyone shown an interest in Schalke centre back Benedikt Howedes?
Also, do you know of any players Liverpool have earmarked as a possible alternative to Dejan Lovren?
Finally, has anyone showed any interest in Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in Howedes at this time. I suspect Liverpool are considering their CB options still. I would not think Iturraspe would be going anywhere.}

hi eds do you know of anyone interested in taking jack dunn on loan? from what I have seen of him at both u18 and reserve level he seems to have potential but would need first team football to fulfil that

{Ed001's Note - there were a few clubs looking at him last season. Oh and I know Alan Stubbs rates him, now he is manager at Hibs he might well make an offer. Though that is unlikely with them not being top flight up there next season.}

Is there any interest in any of our academy players, from PL or Championship sides looking to sign loan players?

{Ed001's Note - yes, but only ones not near the first team will be going anywhere for a while, with players away at the World Cup. I would expect talks to begin over those we are ready to loan out, once the players who were away at the World Cup are back in training and their fitness has been fully assessed. That might see one or two impress enough to push themselves into the first team reckoning, fingers crossed.}

Do you see anyone pushing for first team ed001?

Ed2, a question for you if I may (although I don't expect you to answer at this time on a Saturday morning unless you also have young kids running around already). I have been reading in the Liv Echo and pretty much everywhere else that we're interested in Markovic. However, I've also read that Chelsea either have first option on him or an option to buy 50% of his ownership. Can you clarify the Chelsea situation please and also if they have genuine interest in signing him. Plus, how realistic do you think it is for LFC to buy him and is it possible?

Sorry that was more than one question wasn't it. the coffee hasn't done it's trick yet.

{Ed002's Note - 50% of Markovic is owned by a third party company. That is all that really needs to be said. Liverpool can buy him, but I suspect he would not come cheap to them.}

Cool, thank you. It looks to me as though BR is buying attacking, creative players who can play anywhere across the front line and banking on them as a unit, with Sturridge of course, to get all the goals needed rather than buy a very expensive replacement striker for Suarez. Hey, but what do I know. but my armchair's comfy! Chuckle!

I watched youtube clips on this guy and most of his shots were poor misses, and his passes were over hit. If that was a collection of his best bits then I am unconvinced. Reminds me of Aspas' clips.

I don't rate this guy at all!

He doesn't look much at all. Can't believe we'd pay 25m for him yet we seem to want to buy everyone else at bargain prices.
