Apparently Aquilani might be off to Fiorentina for £7 million.
What do you think Ed's?

Dan {Ed002's Note - If true it would suit everyone.}

£7 million.
It would be great but do not think we will get that much for him actually.

gareth

I really would give the guy a chance

7 million? Seems like a great deal. I thought that we'd have to pay double that to get shut. Do us a favour and close the door on your way out, Alberto.

Very interesting after what he said in the Echo on Friday , how he isn't unsettled in England i'd personally keep him , instead of splashing out on a rumoured 15m for Allen , haven't we learned our mistakes from buying overpriced players

I would be over the moon with £7 but I can't see it

Bite their arm off.

Any chance of Jovetic coming the other way ED ? {Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

Please let it be true.Sooner gone the better for LFC
CR

We apparently rejected an offer for him of 3.5 million Euros so £7 million quid would be a "that'll do nicely thank you" bid!

Aqua £7 million. Allen £15 million.
Something isn't adding up here. Switch the fees around and it would be more realistic of their ability.

......and it's not even 1st April.

Laughable how our fans think that donkey Carroll has all of this untappped potential...when there is nothing to suggest he does.

Yet, in Aqua we already have a CLEARLY skilled and talented player who would absolutely thrive under BR and we can't wait to usher him out the door.

Makes no sense! Small wonder we are a mid-table club!

eds do u think there is any chance of us getting gaitan? keep up the good work!!!! {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Barcelona both showed interest in the winger but Inter PSG or Napoli may be the first to eventually put an offer on the table for Gaitan. My understanding is that Manchester United and PSG did speak with Benfica in January but no bid was made. I understand that it remains the case that Benfica are aware of sustained interest and are aware that Inter Milan and possibly Liverpool are now looking at the player. Asking price is and will continue to be an issue. If Manchester United can agree a price I am told that the player would welcome the move. Napoli are actively seeking a replacement for Lavezzi and still may return for Gaitan or Ramirez.}

the peope are reporting fiorentina have tabled a bid of 7 million for aqualani,they are saying the deal is virtually done,am i right in saying he didnt take part in tonights game against spurs,could be legs in this one,lets hope so as ive never seen such a prima donna..nicky cheshunt red.YNWA.

Doubt that anyone would pay that for him, maybe that us inclusive of his wages

Barry

Well he says he wants to play for liverpool and feel comfortable in england and never wanted to leave in the first place so not sure the rumour has any legs

Waste of talent, I'd bite their hand off.

- Something Red -

With that enquire about Allen and he s***ting away from tackles I don't have any doubts

Torres also said he didnt want to leave he went players say things all time they dont mean lfclee

Prima Donna : a temperamental person; a person who takes adulation and privileged treatment as a right and reacts with petulance to criticism or inconvenience. Sorry mate Alberto is not even close to being that....his never been given a decent chance

He may not of been given a decent chance but neither has, Henderson, downing, Carroll, spearing and Adam but I bet u don't keep your patience with them as you do with aqualani

Great price if true finger's crossed lets see what goes on when are LFC get back from the USA walk on walk on.jay essex red

Yeah cuse we played hendo for over 30 games in one bad season and aqua hasnt even had 30 in 3 years aqua is far better than hendo/adam/carroll, and the reason why is becuse he aint british for a start

What are you on about u noob!!. Spearing was given the best chance of all by Kenny, the defensive midfield was his for virtuallt two thirds of the season and did he even do anything??!.NO!!. Downing has played the most games from the wing, did he do anything?!?!?!.NO!!. Aquilani did alot in his small time at LFC than Spearing has done his whole career. Hendo and Adam i may agree need a fair chance but Spearing and Downing are just pathetic....

Portuguese source Record are today reporting that Liverpool are to make an offer of €18m (£14m) for Benfica playmaker Nicolas Gaitan.
The 24 year old has enjoyed two very competent seasons at Benfica, helping the Lisbon side to mount a very laudable title challenge last term, before losing out in the final weeks of the campaign. The Argentine international may well be tempted by a move to the Premier League and could feel that his side is some way off the pace set by all conquering FC Porto.
Source-caughtoffside-I know I know. Just passing on info.

If this were true that would mean that in a 4-3-3 the three man mid would be Lucas, Gerrard & Gaitan. That would leave cover of Spearing, Henderson & Shelvey. Excellent. RED LENIN

Source caughtoffside! Oh God!

And what about Adam, Allen (when he signs) and possibly Aqua boy if he stays?!

Wasn't it in the Echo?! Good sign that there's at least a genuine interest... In all the years of reading the echo, I can only remember one rumour they got wrong (10/11 years ago, didier domi to the reds!)

He is a left footed winger

Hope this is true ,Lucas back
Adam , Jay ,Aqua-boy all gone
Hendersons got the biggest season of his career in front of him or hes gone.
Plenty still to come before the start of the season wouldnt mind Walcott and the guy from Wolfsberg Václav Pilař if they are available ,cant wait for he season to start

McGurk {Ed002's Note - Pilar certainly won't be available.}

Here is the link to the portugese site claiming lfc are ready to offer £18mill for gaitan! Unfortunatly I am not bi-lingual so and info on it would be welcome!

Benzo {Ed002's Note - You will need to delete the spaces in the URL.}

Long coveted by Manchester United, now also comes Gaitán in the accounts of Liverpool. The Reds follow much the Argentina international, 24, and are willing to proceed with a proposed 18 million for his pass.

Forced to sell assets to ensure financial stability, Luis Filipe Vieira waiting for a superior offer to release the extreme that, remember, is bound by 2016 and shielded by a termination clause of 45 million euros. After months of negotiations with the Red Devils, who until now did not have the desired effect, the red DSS now has the opportunity to study a new solution to ensure a significant financial plug. The question is whether the interest of Liverpool will not revive the passion of Manchester United.

that's the translated version

Summary translation "Unlikely"

The espn english commentator just said this he heard it from a portuguese journalist

Unlikely to happen as LFC do not have any money! Club will be sold next summer barring a miracle

Maybe sign him with the money off carrol?

I also think FSG might look to offload the company next season too. I never thought Id say it but after last season when they pumped a lot of money in to the business and saw no real success. Very different to their success in America and a sport very much detached from American culture.

£18m deal for Nicolas Gaitan in the offing. {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Barcelona both showed interest in the winger but Inter PSG or Napoli may be the first to eventually put an offer on the table for Gaitan. According to portugese paper the record we are preparing bid for gaiten from benfica any truth would be happy if true quality wide man we need

Eds,Is it a possibility that Jonjo Shelvey might go on loan to a PL club next season? {Ed002's Note - I don't know about loans just yet - wait until the team returns and we should hear more.}

He's been our best performer in Pre-season, I think he'll stay and at least make the bench.

I really rate Shelvey, he might lack pace but he is going to be a class player. He is skilful, works hard and has good vision. No way will Rodgers loan him out, as I believe he is fully committed to LFC and it shows..

Yeah! Maybe Steven Gerrard will go on loan also. Why are u asking silly questions like that. Jonjo will be in the first team squad.

After seeing the game today I would say that Jonjo deserves a run with the first team, he was definitely our best offensive catalyst throughout the game

I don't think well loan out shelvy. Watched both games in boston and Baltimore and in my opinion he's clearly shown he can do a job for us this year. Would hate for him to go out and help another side when he's an asset to us

Hi Eds

Do you know of anything regarding Omar Abdulrahmann, he currently plays for Al Ain and is 20 years old. I watched him play at Old Trafford for UAE on Thursday and he was hands down the best player of the day, do you know if hes moving or where he may end up?

Thanks
Jonny {Ed002's Note - No, sorry.}

One good game doesn't make you a top player

Hope not!
It would cost a bomb to put his name On my lads shirt!

I agree that one good game means nothing but that guy was outstanding and has obvious quality and great technical ability.hes young and not at a big club.im sure he could be cheap and worth a scout.but only time wil tel if hes a flash in the pan or not.

Once again 'Sky Sports Sources' claiming Carroll prepared to move on loan to club in Europe. This is nonsense, nothing in the article what-so-ever to suggest this is the case. Sly sports have lied again and again about Liverpool, transfer targets, etc etc - don't believe everything you read eh.

Do the editors have any new information regarding Vargas - any interest at all or not anymore since Rodgers arrival?

SMc {Ed002's Note - Fiorentina accept Vargas will leave. Liverpool, Malaga, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Manchester City, Benfica, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in the past but at 28 and with a now well documented weight issue, he may not be the easiest to sell. Liverpool, Malaga and Roma maintain an interest and I would not be surprised if there is interest from Turkey and Russia. Fiorentina want the situation regarding his sale resolved by the beginning of August.}

Cheers editor. weight issues do not sound good for a professional footballer, aty 28 we might be better served looking elsewhere.

SMc {Ed002's Note - His nickname is "El Loco" - it translates to "The Tubby One".}

28 Jul 2012 10:49:48
carroll says he will go on loan to a pl team playing in europe cant see it being arsenal chelsea man utd or city maybe spurs with adebayor deal going knowhere and although a death in family defoe (condolences) is back in country could be in a deal. or finally newcastle who left ba out of the starting line up could he be included in a deal both defoe and ba would be good inclusions in the squad.

I can't see him going to Spurs and if he does I hope Defoe isn't part of the deal. I think the only likely destination is Newcastle but they know this and will use it to their advantage. I'm not convinced Ba would work for us but he's shown what he can do so only hope it wasn't a flash in the pan if he does come to Liverpool in exchange for Carroll plus cash. Perfect scenario is £20m cash with no exchange in my eyes.

MarkB

Spurs are not interested in carroll, the deal for adebayor is all but done, fee agreed, wage agreed! just that he wants city to pay money to his charity!

Last week BR said no chance of a loan deal!

I dont want Ba at our club dont rate him...CM68

Dont worry if you dont like Ba, cos your not gonna get him.

Morning Eds,

Was just wondering if Agger or Skrtel were to leave, have we got an interest in Sakho, and how likely would we be to put a bid in for him? Although we have Kelly/Coates who could step up. I have seen a few reports suggesting we are interested and I've heard he has been allowed to go for the right price? Not sure if this is true.

Keep in the good work! {Ed002's Note - Arsenal have consdered Sakho in the past - but there is growing interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan and, very much, Lyon. There remains possible lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. PSG are not keen on selling.}

What's 'the right price' going to be when you're owned by billionaires?

Caotes and Kelly can NOT step up. They are both untested as EPL central defenders, and Kelly is injury-prone so not a dependable replacement.

Hi Ed's

Regarding Aquilani, I cannot see BR keeping him if we sign Joe Allen. We will have far to many CM"s to accommodate.

Has there been any interest in Aquilani since his return from Milan and what are the chances of releasing him on a free to stop him from eating away at our wage bill? One of the worst decisions ever to bring the Italian to Anfiled. Money wasted.

Red4life {Ed002's Note - Liverpool want a fee from him and likely regret not taking Milan's 3.5M euros offer. His agent has had little luck in finding a buyer.}

What is it about Aquilani that's stopping his agent finding a suitable buyer? Is it that he's reluctant to take a pay cut or is he simply holding out for a big club in Italy and nowhere else? Any news eds? {Ed002's Note - Wages have proven to be an issue - but he knows he would not get the same in Italy.}

Why not get rid of adam and spearing if we get allen

Quite right Ed. 3.5 mill may not be a lot but it beats paying 70K a week in wasted wages.
CR

His agent does plenty of talking and little else.

You have to see the irony though. The manager and club get slated for spending big, over the Aqulani deal, he can play ok he just cant or wont settle in Liverpool.
Then the following managers and owners get slated for buying Brittish players and not spending big on foreigners?

Damned if you do and damned if you don't

x

You can never have enough good midfielders. I mean Jay Spearing started an FA Cup Final last year...

The key word - good! Spearing may have started in last years FA Cup Final, but in all honesty he shouldn't have.

Yes, we have an abundance of Midfielders however very few of them have flare, and more importantly, the mobility to get into the box when we attack, a problem that was oh too common last season - lack of numbers in the box.

It could work out for the best that we didnt take their 3.5m joke of an offer. If he gives Liverpool a shot he may enjoy himself, and id say Rodgers would love to have him. He's getting a lot of game time in the friendlies. Rodgers is the type to tell him to stop winging.

No you get slated for buying rubbish for 10s of millions of pounds. Nationality is irrelevant.

Buying rubbish??. spearing is more rubbish than a league 10 player!!.

aquilani i am sure is settled now and i dont see why people fecking bring up that nonsense of his heart not being at playing in lfc and england. his opinion then is not his opinion now. he may have told his agent to find a club for him because he thought there will be competition for cm places, but considering the mid's who we have that are truly rubbish(adam and spearing), he may as well know that he only has to compete for places with gerrard as that is the role he is best at. btw u do realize that gerrard may not start all games this season as rodgers may want to him to play a full season by making him play part games and some full games. this is where aquilani is vital. he is the deputy of gerrard as shelvey may b the deputy of hendo or allen(should he sign). hence the question is, why even sell him without seeing what he brings to the table??. a fully fit aquilani can deliver his best all d time, as it says that in most of the games he has played for lfc, they always win or draw which is great!!.
if anyone should be sold, it should be spearing. we can loan jonjo out for 1 more season, hence we have midfielders:
gerrard
aquilani
allen(if we sign him)
hendo
lucas
adam. 6 midfielders is very good.

bottom line: sell spearing and loan shelvey to a pl club for experience....
p.s.: for the cups, use suso and joao as they are quality players!!...

Spearing was free.. Did you read the 2nd half of the sentence? I agree with the rest of your statement though. We should convince Aquaflop to give it a go as he is an ideal AMC or backup to Gerrard. And its too difficult and expensive to find a decent replacement.

See, the Ed's are quick to jump to the conclusion that because Aquilani wants out of england because his agent has been trying to get clubs interested. What if it is that he wants assurances that he will play a role throughout the season??. Plus the Ed's say that he just doesnt want to be in England, dear Ed's you lot do realize that he said this about 2 seasons back. He may not have the same opinions now because the boss has some faith in him.
Also as he has said that the previous manager's "forced" him out, he is quite right to say that in my view. How is it that Rooney was persuaded to stay with Man Utd when Rooney was interested in playing for Barca or Real. Its because the manager(Fergie) had the right player management skills. Hodgson for me had no skills. It's not like you should give up on talking to persuade the player just because he thinks the club isnt right for him. I just think that the manager then should have sat down and really convinced Aqua to stay at the club. That way the player has assurances that he will be part of the manager's vision. The manager should NOT loan him out!!.
Bottom Line: The previous managers just lacked the man management skills to persuade a player to stay and play at the club.
I am not saying that Aqua will stay, but it is worth a try talking to him and seeing if his demands e.g. playing time, can be met rather than loaning him out.
This is my view Ed's and i mean no offence to your views in any way.
sorry for the long post....=)

Agree with the last poster. aquilani's last interview does indicate that he was not treated properly by roy and kenny. i think very few will disagree that kenny and comolli's transfer policies had some serious problems.

Ed has there been any further developments in the Affelay saga?

Seems to have gone very quiet on this front. This week we have seen Castagiounus, Krasic and Elm sign for other clubs and I hope we don't miss out on Affelay.

Affelay
Ramirez
Rossi

Would be a good bit of business for this summer to go along with Borini.

Jonesred {Ed002's Note - Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this past season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited and although the player is keen to stay, it looks like Barcelona will now make him available. Dortmund and Schalke have a declared interest in the player and Italy looks like another option available to him (although Inter have said they are no longer interested). There may be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle. A move to Lille has already been rejected.}

Rossi has had awful injury problems. So has Affelay. People keep saying he is young - he is 25, that isn't that young - considering the severity of his injuries and how much of a limited impact he has made as a result I would say he is very risky. However, if the asking price is as low as 3.1million (as has been suggested in certain quarters) than he might be worth taking a gamble on.

SMc

Rossi is out for the season, WHY would you like to sign him?

I really don't understand why people rate Afellay. Like SMc said he's probably in the region of his peak years now and I think he's just too selfish when you see him play in Barcelona's style. He's always looking to beat a man instead of playing a more obvious pass. I watched a lot of Barcelona games over the last two years aswell an I can't think of many times when he impressed me.

MarkB.

Krasic hasn't signed for anyone so your wrong.

28 Jul 2012 10:04:37
Although Rossi has been out with a long term injury. Would the reds still consider signing him?

Just read a report ( I know it might not be true) that he can leave for less than 10 million. If this is true and even with a LTI would it still not be considered a good piece of business Ed?

Would be impressed to see Ramirez and Rossi in our attack next season with Suarez and Borini

Jonesred. {Ed002's Note - I would not see it as good business, no.}

Agree with the Editor here, Rossi has had severe injury problems on more than one occasion and was unable to cut it in the Premiership when he was first here - I do not think he would be a good signing, even for 10million. When a transfer looks too good to be true thats because it probably is: Major Injury questionmarks + decent outlay of money + inevitable high wages = bad deal for the club.

Ed wot u reckon on bologna excepting 16.3 mill for Ramirez from Liverpool Craig from Huyton

{Ed002's Note - We will soon see Craig.}

Ed002 do you by any chance no the situation with regards to rameriz i personally think he willl end up at tottenham to replace modric? but do you know if liverpool have actually bid? thanks ed brill site

x {Ed002's Note - The situation is that Bologna continue talking to clubs but little progress has been made. His ever-talkative agent has approached at least two clubs in England to see if they would be interested in the player at the 25M euros Bologna now want and a significant signing on fee. Any interested clubs need to talk to Bologna of course. A would not pay too much heed to what Betancourt says just now.}

Have the club said anything about this(bologna) or is it just rumours?

Will we expect news on the situation soon or next week ed? {Ed002's Note - Soon.}

It is probably Chelsea then if you know something will be revealed soon? Maybe as a ploy to convince Cavani to join them... {Ed002's Note - As we stand right now Cavani moving to Chelsea is looking very unlikely.}

Hey craig, where've you heard this?

27 Jul 2012 20:37:06
ed do you know of any LFC intrest in Lewis Holtby? cheers ed! JF LFC {Ed002's Note - No.}

28 Jul 2012 01:18:41
Situation regarding Liverpool FC: Only 2 more signings (Allen and Ramirez) til the end of the transfer window unless big money moves away from the club concerning Carroll and Skrtel then 2 replacements look imminent. Carroll looks very likey to leave with West Ham and Newcastle front runners.. yet Skrtel is happy and wants to stay.

Ramirez looks 99% likely now his agent is currently discussing the possible transfer to LFC

Thanks

(Source-from inside Melwood)

JamesLFC

Sounds too good to be true, but i'd take that now.. 6 months ago i would have been up in arms but the way things have been going of late any bit transfer activity is good.. sign of the times!

Ramirez would love to see here, hope it does happen. Whether andy goes or not (hope not) we need another striker and a player that can play right wing like kuyt did. Dempsey would be decent i see him as a squad player, we need options. Walcott/ adam johnson would like to see one of them here, last season walcott created a lot of rvp's goals he's worth a try as is aj.

Lots of people round here sayin Jay Spearing may be on the Nottingham Forest radar. Deal thought to be worth £1.1million.

I think that's a good deal, do we have to pay them in one go or can we pay in installments?

MR EM {Ed049's Note - haha}

Good get rid!!!

Saw something similar on the forest page a short while ago as well. would be good for everyone

To be fair the lad looks out his depth sometimes but he has to be worth more than that! At least 3.5 million for a fully seasoned premiership midfielder playing for Liverpool !!

He is worth a lot more than that

Is that wat we are paying to get rid of him? Lol

Slowpoke

You mean so and so ! Jay has always given his best for the club.Agree he is not quite up to standard but I wish him well where ever he plays. Forest are a decent club and I am sure he would be a good servant to them
CR

We are ripping them off.

Lets hope so!

2 million seems fair ]

Red raj

Good deal not good enough but wish him all the best

Yes he is a nice local lad , but as we all know he was so out of his depth last season in midfield , and i cant understand why KK played him at all ? we should of bought few good players last january , that was KK mistake ! the sooner jay goes the better , good luck in the championship mate

Please be true.

I like Jay but unfortunately he not upto standard. He always gives 100% but it's not good enough. If he goes, he goes with my best wishes.

I think people are being unreasonable here, he isnt the best player in the world and not good enough for our first team, but he would do a job from the bench and would definitely be a worthwhile signing for another premiership team.

Sorry to say but the sooner Jay goes the better for all. If Rodgers is so passionate about possession, he surely must have noticed how often Jay gives the ball away (latest one v Spurs tonight when Lennon hit the post). Being local is not a reason to be in the team. Likewise with Coady, who also is overhyped as a local hope. I've nothing against local lads but they have to be good enough. Robinson and Flanagan and maybe Morgan (but not ready yet) could do well.

Heard from a very good source (lfc coach's brother in law) that Gaston Ramirez's agent is meant to meet up with Liverpool sometime soon but he doesnt know when.

You heard it first here...

TinylfcTony

Hope so...

Also Allen should be signing along with Ramirez one the Olympics are over.

Danny from Australia

Actually, we heard it in the papers a long time ago, nice try tiny!!

SirPurpleNose

Ramirez is at olympics with Uraguay so its not gonna be sometime soon! Do hope he signs tho.

Ok, tinyLFCTony. Just so you know, you'll be slated if you're wrong. Not by me, by other fans.

THE SUMON VAI

Hardly the first time we have heard this but none the less it would be great if we can get him.
CR

Why do people say you heard it here first? It's just asking for abuse.

Not one time did someone who has said heard it first here were right. Heard it here first, second, third he will not be signing for Liverpool. Comes from my sister's boyfriend's uncle who knows a friend who's son is friends with a nurse at his school that dates a ......... persons

Ed, Do you have any idea how the players feel about Andy Carroll situation? I was wondering if Gerrard and or Carra have put their ideas forward as senior players to BR? {Ed001's Note - I have no idea sorry, but my personal opinion is that it is about time Gerrard and Carra stopped putting their oars in and let the manager manage.}

Players shouldnt have the say that they have
carragher and gerrard should should keep their gobs shut until they are managers

Absolutely true . The 2 you have mentioned can make or break the manager . They need to be moved on or into coaching

100% agree with ed

Agreed Ed001, Gerrard and Carragher have weilded to much power with the playing group for far to long.

BrisbaneLFC

Totally agree Ed. Let Rogers do his own job because I really blame gerrard and carragher for benitez and hodgsons demise.

Whats that supposed to mean ed?

Kaizer

Well said Ed I've been saying this for years! Even on the pitch players feel the ball always has to go through Gerrard instead of having a go themselves....Adam and Henderson always did better without Gerrard on the pitch

Spot on relies boys - Gerrard and Carragher Liverpuds biggest problems now that kk was booted out

Moved on.... You are talking about moving on arguably one of the best players in our history like he's some two bob ressie. I agree they have too much say on things and it should be the manager that makes the decisions but "moved on" turn it in lad

What rubbish. Agree that the Manager should be left to manage but Benitez and Hodgson brought about their own demise.Benitez went to pieces after falling out with his right hand man and made some stupid decisions that cost us a league title and Hodgson was just not good enough.Look at the crap he brought in.
Gerrard and Carra still have their heart and soul in the club, Carra is no longer good enough and should not have been given an extended contract last season but Gerrard will prove to still be a major force in the EPL this season.
CR

Rightly said eds great site

I'm glad Gerrard and Carragher played their part in getting Hodgson the boot, he was an awful manager, his signings were poor and the football was shocking.

As for Benitez, he lost the plot big time.

Carragher is past it as a player, Gerrard is in the twilight of his career and will retire soon.

Problem(s) solved.

Gaz1975.

Errrm thats like saying kenny dalglish should never comment on mliverpool. please note steven gerrad is Liverpools 2nd greatest player ever. He has the right to say what he likes

Not having that Gerrard & Carra stick there oars in. Each manager have always wanted the opinion of Stevie & Carra it's not as though they burst the door down & tell the manager what they want! Rodgers has probably asked for there input, doesn't mean he'll go along with it

How would any of you know what influence they have! .have previous managers complained ?,because i have never heard any manager complain about them ,quite the opposite ! ant

Senior players will always have an influence at any club rightly or wrongly but ultimately the manager has to have final say, also before turning on carra & gerrard remember how many times they have put it on the line & pulled us out of tight situations olympiacos,Chelsea semi final,champions league final,fa cup 06,goals & goal line clearances,this is not to say they are beyond reproach,no-one is but they have been there and done it for us & also remember it was rafa who got us into the title challenging position in the first instance he knows the mistake over alonso himself but they are the calls and risks of being a manager think mr Rodgers is the right man he will need time lets support & give him that time & not let the Murdoch controlled media what they want,which is to turn on him & each other our solidarity is their biggest fear........jft96 y.n.w.a paisley's genius

I don't think that they both need moving on at all. They need to stop delivering manage-esque interviews though. Gerrard has already made the claim we will finish in the top 4 heaping the pressure on the players at dressing room level. When Carragher finishes it will change the dynamics and for me. Gerrard has a few years left with us yet so no way should he be moved on.

I agree, its time Stevie G and Carra stopped trying to run the show. Whilst I admit Gerrard is a quality player, I don't think LFC will progress as a team until he has departed the club, for too long have the reds built a team around an ageing star. Time for someone to take a strong stance and ditch the pair of them and rebuild from scratch, alas the Kop faithful would never allow Stevie to leave.. so LFC will remain amongst the chasing pack for seasons to come.

Can not believe what I'm seeing, our two best and most loyal players over the past 10 years and some people are saying move them on, carra has been outstanding over the years and cos age has finally caught up with him people seem to want to wash there hands of him ASAP, so much for the best and most loyal fans in world football, super Steve g, our best player now for a decade, a boy who has become a man, a superstar, the best according to zidane, MR Liverpool as far as I am concerned should have as much input in our fantastic club cos nobody wants the best for the club more than those two individuals, that's why the managers possibly asked for there input cos they know it's genuine

What do you mean by the Gerrard and Carragher comment, what have they done?

Many thanks
