Ed is anyone looking at buying Sturridge and if yes do you see him going thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable13

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any chance of him going as things stand. Things could change as teams' options narrow, but there are very few teams that he would want to join to be honest.}

28 Aug 2016 17:53:21
That's the big problem for Sturridge IF he wants to leave none of the teams that traditionally finish above us would want him. I can't see him going to a West Ham or similar. Maybe he'll go abroad.

I bet Arsenal would take him lol.

28 Aug 2016 19:19:25
I can see him going to Arsenal.

Shame really because he's our best striker. I think that will make us weaker as I rate DS but klopp knows best I suppose.

To arsenal for 25m and a penny.

29 Aug 2016 07:53:49
why would we want to sell our best striker? yea he is pissed but he will be getting his chance pretty soon.

I think the whole Sturridge thing is blown out of proportion. He is a top player and he wants to play in his best position. Of course he would be pissed if he's not selected to play when he is fit. Would you rather have a player who is more than happy to be paid to sit on the bench? His problem is his inability to hide his disappointment. I notice, he isn't happy even if he is subbed out. What Sturridge needs to learn is that he cannot expect to be automatically selected for every game. Everyone needs to fight for their place and its up to Klopp to decide if he plays or not and football is a team sport. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There's no guarantee that he will score even if he started the match. Maybe Klopp is more cautious when it comes to Sturridge because he could be injured again if he's over used.

Id rather we sold firminho and played sturridge in the middle.

Agree10 Disagree24

29 Aug 2016 09:14:42
I'd rather we stopped messing about and played with 2 strikers - Sturridge being one of them!

During albion match, i posted on live chat DS reaction aftet scoring is full of vindictive angst, and it indicate trouble likely between him and klopp. i was given stick for it. I felt much better now.

wow lee, you are a really bizzare human being.

Agree12 Disagree1

29 Aug 2016 10:39:19
So you'd rather feel vindicated at the cost of negativity in the dressing room. says a lot about you mate!

29 Aug 2016 11:07:24
Don't get too used to that feeling Lee 😆.

Agree9 Disagree1

29 Aug 2016 12:41:57
Is lee brendan rodgers?

Agree6 Disagree1

29 Aug 2016 13:46:54
Lee needs help not criticism, let's get behind him.

Agree11 Disagree1

29 Aug 2016 15:51:06
You're all wrong. Lee doesn't need help, just time.

Once puberty kicks in, I promise you he will make a lot more sense.

29 Aug 2016 15:54:48
LAVERS, you are funny. Sell Firmino? is that a joke?

Agree10 Disagree2

29 Aug 2016 17:08:33
to all of you who want studge to play up front can you tell me how many games you will get out of him this season where as i know we will get over 5 games on the bounce from firmino, let's be realistic studge can't demand a starting place if he is only going to play a handful of games, maybe this will get him past his mental part of his injuries, we know on hid day studge is one of the best about but he has not been that since suarez was in the team, i would get rid of him because he is injured most of the season, plus to me he has lost his legs, the speed he once had is not there anymore.

Agree0 Disagree5

29 Aug 2016 22:44:53
We scored four goals without him at Arsenal and even last season, we scored a hatful without him so he has no demands to make especially if he can't even stay fit. Either he works hard to convince Klopp and talk less or he can sulk. His choice because Klopp owes him absolutely nothing.

So it's looking like Wisdom is of to Celtic.

28 Aug 2016 14:27:39
Good move for him. Not good enough to break through for us in my honest opinion as his decision making is poor and has serious lapses on concentration at vital moments.

Agree10 Disagree7

28 Aug 2016 15:53:30
Sounds as though he will fit right in with most of defenders we already have in paradise then!

28 Aug 2016 21:43:23
Good move. I hope it all works out for him.

strange how Rodgers never played him when he had the chance for Liverpool yet he is being linked with him now he is celtic manager. Good luck to andre wisdom wherever he ends up.

Ed002, where is the interest in Dortmund's Pulisic?
Many thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Dortmund certainly won't be open to selling Pulisic - John Hackworth got Klinsmann to look at him not to long ago and he did arrive at Dortmund when Klipperty was there. The push would likely of come from someone under Zorc to take him there. Perhaps a long term replacement for Reus? Real Madrid and Manchester City looking, but MCFC like Liverpool know that it would be difficult to get a Work Permit without paying well over the odds. I would not expect any move this summer and Liverpool are, for a reason we will not go in to, not in a particularly good position to do any further business in Germany this summer.}

28 Aug 2016 15:27:04
Thanks very much, I appreciate the time you take out of your day especially at this busy time of the footballing calendar.

Agree3 Disagree3

28 Aug 2016 17:03:39
Doesn't need a work permit as is eligible through his Crotian Father.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - It is a passport of convenience and he remains a US citizen and also holds a dual passport for the United States. In the UK it means he has to go down the work permit route still. Liverpool could get around it by simply meeting the criteria for a work permit.}

28 Aug 2016 17:32:30
Can i just say it is incredible the extent of your knowledge edo2.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps he is not the only one in such a situation? I am in a not dissimilar situation myself.}

28 Aug 2016 22:18:59
Excellent, more clues to ed002! I still think ed002 is verheijen in disguise.! :p.

Any truth that Coric move to Manchester city has failed over game time fears, now moving towards a Liverpool deal, being reported in papers today?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Coric has rejected several sides (e.g. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich) as they won't guarantee him a first team start every week.}

28 Aug 2016 09:50:40
It's good to hear that youngster is turning down teams due to no first team guarantees showing that he is more interested in playing than getting stupid amounts of money.

28 Aug 2016 11:14:37
Must has seen how it went for that Danish kid, the last next big thing. Ostengaard was it?

Agree3 Disagree5

28 Aug 2016 11:16:51
But Liverpool would not be able to guarantee him game time every week eather, would they?

Agree13 Disagree5

28 Aug 2016 12:28:53
Smart kid. Stay where you are or go to a team where you know u will play regularly and improve.

28 Aug 2016 12:48:50
Can he play LB😜.

Agree5 Disagree5

28 Aug 2016 13:29:06
I would buy him and let him take lallana's place, if he is as good as they say he is, we would be mad not to be interested in purchasing him.

james milner is the new penalty taking left back Acered.

Agree5 Disagree3

29 Aug 2016 06:13:29
Why would any half decent team give guarantees on game time!

And why would we as fans like to see a player coming in with no experience of the premier league or the English game given those assurances?

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Aug 2016 08:52:17
I have just read a report from the Bundesliga that RICARDO RODRIGUEZ the Wolfsburg defender has been given permission to leave the club.

It goes on to state that Chelsea is his main wish as he wants to play for a London based team but Liverpool have shown interest and he would be willing to join.

Have any of the EDS heard anything regards this and if NOT can you see us making any attempt at a LB before Wednesday?

Believable1 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of what is happening with Rodriguez but it doesn't involve Liverpool. Klopp has made it absolutely clear about the LB situation.}

28 Aug 2016 08:17:55
BBC Sport are saying that Fuchs is refusing to sign a new deal at Leicester so is on our radar.

Seems odd as he's 30 and we balked at an extra £2m for Chillwell, but has anyone heard anything about this, ideally from a less odious source?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool to Leicester nor am I aware of Leicester making any new contract offer to a player who only joined them last season, nor him refusing suich an offer as they prepare for a Champions League campaign.}

28 Aug 2016 08:58:48
Thanks for clearing that up Ed002, seemed an odd rumour. Especially as it's being reported that he only has a year left on a deal he signed last season, seems slit toe short.

Agree0 Disagree4

{Ed002's Note - His contract rund to June 2018.}

28 Aug 2016 11:16:59
Zedd it's from the bbc gossip column, where they just round up various stories from rags. The one in question happens to be from the S*n so as ed002 think it's unlikely.

Oncearad, yep, knew it was from the rag and that was in my original post but got edited given the name I called the rag!
