Hi Eds,

Is there any updates on the fitness/ availability of the team for Saturday? Kieta aside, will we be at full strength?

{Ed001's Note - even Keita has a chance.}

Hey Ed001, that's great to hear. Thanks for the Prompt reply. Have a good one.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

Ed001 - what chance do you give us for the final?

{Ed001's Note - ?}

No point risking Keita, I’m sure one of gini or Milner will be on the bench plus ox probably. Even shaqiri if we need a goal. Keita has struggled with little niggles all season, and whilst I’d love for him to be involved, it’s too risky to even bring him on.

Are you a doctor/ physio Firmane? I'm assuming you work for the club do you?

Risky? If he gets a niggle he can play through it and then rest it on the beach in the Maldives drinking Mai Tais!
All hands to the pump for this game.

I’m sorry for having an opinion on this site instanbul! Firstly, my thinking was if he had to come off again, we’d be down a sub. Secondly, the last niggle he got he couldn’t play on, nothing to do with beaches or what not, we need players who are 100% on the pitch. If spurs want to play Kane at 75% fine, but we have Gini Milner hendo Fabinho all pushing to start, with ox and shaqiri capable off the bench if needed.

Nothing against Keita one bit, he played great at the end of the season, but two weeks ago he couldn’t walk on it. why risk it?

Sorry Firmane mate I meant no offence. Purely that if he’s on the bench it means that he’s been passed fit by the medical staff so if he’s the best man to come on then we should use him. No point being cautious in the last and biggest game of the season.
Even if he was 100% fit I wouldn’t see him starting this game. I don’t think Klopp trusts him completely defensively as much as say Hendo, Wiji or Milner.

I second beckers post firmane, my reply was rather abrupt and I apologise for that. If he's fit and available it would be klopps decision wouldn't it.

keep hearing rumors that one of Brewster, Bobby Duncan or Paul Glatzel will be moved on within the window because they all want to pushed up in the squads and there isn't enough space for them all. is there any truth behind this and who is most likely to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

27 May 2019 12:13:21
Well Brewster has already been pushed up so the other two will need to get on with it. As good as Duncan is I do like Glatzel though. He's a better all-around player.

Glatzel and Duncan mostly played for the U19s and U18s, so their next step is a full season with the U23s. We released Glen McAuley, Millar will go on loan again and Brewster will replace Sturridge, so there is space and the OP is incorrect. At least I hope so.

i mean we could potentially see one of Glatzel or Duncan go out on loan, as they are still so young the experience could do wonders.

but again they have so much time on their hands i don't think either will be pushing for an exit.

hasn't only recently turned 12? C'mon man. No idea how real the report is, but if he or others their age want to leave for regular football then I am sure there will be plenty of league one clubs happy to throw em a shot.

They are 18 years old, too young to go on loan. A full season with the U23s will be best. I'd expect a decent shake-up there. Losing Camacho and Adekanye means there will be space to bring in a couple of young wingers. The U18s didn't really play with wide forwards, so let's see if Glatzel/ Duncan can thrive in a system more akin to the way the first team plays before we get too excited.

Eds

Do you know of any interest in Adrian (GK) by Liverpool if Mignolet was to leave?

Thanks

FR.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - no, I don't know of any.}

27 May 2019 11:15:12
has there been any interest show in mignolet? i am assuming he will go.

i just am not sure who i can think of, bar the emotional choice of reina, who would be a good fit for 2nd choice!

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - (a) Mignolet is one of two players being considered by Norwich and Brugge are very keen - Liverpool may price him out of a move. (b) David Marshall of Hull.}

27 May 2019 13:55:08
Thanks Ed2. Hope we let Migs go so he can get a chance to be no1 elsewhere. He's been long enough with us now and even though he hasn't been the best, he's still a red and has served the team to the best of his ability.

Agree6 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It will be driven by the asking price.}

27 May 2019 14:26:40
thanks Ed, as always a fountain of knowledge!

what is David marshall like, good professional? able to perform at the premiership level?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He has played in the PL with Hull and Cardiff before. He would be about 32 or 33 now. Against him is not being Home Grown.}

27 May 2019 14:37:20
just noticed Marshall is out of contract in the summer, seems a logical choice!

experienced, HG and free.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - He is not HG.}

27 May 2019 15:42:40
Ah thanks I will retract my HG comment!

Is HG an issue for us at all at the moment?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It depends who the club buy and sell!!}

28 May 2019 09:30:07
He's 34, Scottish and came up at Celtic so no not home grown.
Chelsea just renewed Willy Caballero's contract, so Rob Green should be available. He's HG and only 39. Please don't!
