Ed002, I just saw a report saying we are after Franco Vazquez. Normally I'd dismiss random reports, but I'm sure you mentioned that we had scouted him this season?
Any chance we might have genuine interest in signing him?

{Ed002's Note - Milan have enquired about the availability of Palermo's Franco Vazquez and were told that he would be allowed to leave in the summer if an offer of more than €30M were made. That would be enough to scare off Inter and Sevilla who have looked at him since the beginning of the season. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have scouted the player this season with Juventus Liverpool and Manchester United showed increased interest during the January window, but Milan seem confident a move will happen in the summer.}

klopps not stupid. If he wants them he will get them. Prime example Gotze says he wants to stay and fight for his place. What happens? Bayern drop the price eventually we will sign him
for far less.

Get real! You can criticise players and still be a fan. Balotelli has done absolutely nothing as a Liverpool player to warrant any support from fans, in fact he's done the opposite.

Would be a massive shame to see Ibe leave. Yes he had a patchy season, but this kid was still a teenager for most of it. Let that sink in, a teenager playing first team professional football at Liverpool FC. There is a talent there. Too much was put on him as Sterlings successor. Ridiculous expectation.
If he goes, then good luck to him and he'll be doing himself a huge career favour playing under Koeman.
Hope this story is just that and he is going nowhere. Loan at worst, but not selling him.

Mane? I'd like us to keep Ibe, be a bit silly to over spend on potential and at the same time sell the potential within the club.
And that is coming from me who is yet to be in any way convinced by Ibe. Can't imagine Ibe would command a huge fee anyway.

Hope all is sorted with your rent Ed001! If there is a chance to still donate would like to do so for all your hardwork, plus all the other eds!
With you saying that all players are pretty much up for sale, or will be for an acceptable amount, would you say the captaincy is potentially up for grabs this summer?
Cheers.

27 May 2016 12:28:45
i think that's a very unfair statement. Because he's playing out wide he's expected to take on players and get towards the byline to put a cross in for our other offensive players. Because he's young he's obviously still learning his trade and will make mistakes. He's obviously been coached to play like that and had a knock in confidence at the start of the season but he's defo a talented player with bags of potential. Totally agree with KopDogs who said on another thread "why should the club overpay on young players with potential and be so quick to get rid of young players already here with bags of it because they had an indifferent season? "

27 May 2016 19:39:20
I doubt Ibe will be sticking around. I don't think he has the quality, fair enough he can beat a man but I think he's selfish and when he does cross there gennerly not good enough and he offers nothing going back. Maybe he has the potential to become a decent player but we need better than decent.
People keep saying that we let youngsters go too early, never given enough of a chance etc. But how many that we have let go have gone on to better things. I honestly can't think of one.
Dani Pachecco people said never got a chance hasn't set the world on fire. Adam Morgan had been dubbed the next robbie fowler but again we hear on here he was never given a chance. Think he is living the high life in Colwyn Bay. they're just two i thought of off the top of my head I'm sure there are 100s more, also maybe a success story or two there but my point is Klopp will know who he thinks is good enough for his team, I can't see Ibe being part of it.
Finally I'm not player bashing or trying to disrespect any players that is just how I see it. Hope I'm wrong too.

Hi ed02 was wondering if you could do a transfer update on the players who could possibly leave the club. Have we had any approaches enquiries for the following. Bogdan ward wisdom illori skrtel Alberto ibe balotelli markovic Allen Lucas canos yesil benteke moreno. Also has it been confirmed if free agents teixeira and toure are gone.
Believable1
Unbelievable4
{Ed002's Note - A bit out of date but Rangers are taking Rossiter. Swansea approached Liverpool in respect of taking Joe Allen on loan in January - it was rebuffed then but interest may exist in the summer. Milan may well take Balotelli but fear that they may need to renegotiate the price. Fenerbahce will look to sign Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic in the summer after a successful loan period but the player will look to discuss his future with the club - and he wants guarantees (I don't know if the club will give them or not). Trabzonspor want to take Yesil from Liverpool and have already made an approach to the club. Sinclair still interests Watford but that may drift away - and Enrique will leave. Teixeira has no future at Liverpool and will leave with interest from Sousa (but no agreement with Fiorentina) and Zenit who are already looking at the market and sorting out another critical roll at the club. Interest in Sakho and Coutinho has gone for now.}

Hi Eds,
I remember a couple of years ago we had first option on Will Hughes of Derby. As deals for Zielinski and Dahoud are looking less likely, would he be a player we would consider for centre midfield.
Personally I always thought he was a classy player and I think Klopp could do great with him.
