After a short quiet spell the Liverpool Loanees were back to their best at the weekend, much like we are hoping the RedMen are tonight!

Danny Ings continues to miss out through injury and Southampton will be desperate to have him back as soon as possible as they sit in the bottom 3 of the Premier League.

Adam Bogdan and Sheyi Ojo were both unused at the weekend. Meanwhile Pedro Chirivella's loan spell at Extremadura ended before it had even begun as registration problems have left the Spaniard unable to play.

Awoniyi is back at Mouscron and back to his best as his red hot streak in-front of goal continues.

In his 6th game for the club Awoniyi notched his 5th goal, a second half strike that sealed a 1-0 victory against Lokeren.

Since his return Awoniyi has scored 5 goals including 3 match winners. He has also notched 2 assists. Jurgen Klopp are you watching.

Ejaria was back in the Reading starting line up this weekend after recovering from illness as The Royals faced Rotherham in the Sky Bet Championship.

And it was a dream return for the youngster as he hit a sweet half volley to put Reading 1-0 up. Unfortunately the Royals could not hold onto the lead as the game finished 1-1 but it was good to see Ejaria back to his best after a frustrating campaign.

Rangers played twice last week. The first was a 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup. The second was a 5-0 victory over Hamilton in the league.

Ryan Kent was central to these victories playing both games and notching 2 assists in the process.

Since the season restarted after the Winter Break Kent has notched 4 assists and 2 goals as he looks to finish the season on a high.

Allan Rodrigues made his first appearance for Fluminense this weekend as he looks to kick start his season after a difficult start.

The midfielder made his first bow for the club coming on as a second half sub as Fluminense beat Bangu 2-0.

Hertha Berlin faced Bayern Munch this weekend with Grujic looking to make his mark against Liverpool's Champions League opponents.

Despite a lively display in midfield Grujic was unable to prevent Hertha falling to a narrow 1-0 defeat. He will be hoping his parent club will fare better at the Allianz Arena in a few weeks time.

Grabara conceded his first goals for AGF a the weekend and with those goals came his first defeat as AGF lost 2-1 to Midtjylland.

Clyne continued his impressive form for Bournemouth at Right Back as he made his fifth appearance for the club at the weekend.

Bournemouth faced Wolves in the Premier League and Clyne produced a typically solid display as the game finished 1-1.

The ever present Herbie Kane made his 38th appearance of the season at the weekend for Doncaster as the Dons faced Scunthorpe in a local derby.

Kane produced a solid performance and played the full 90 as the game finished 1-1.

Young Liam Millars wait for a start continued this weekend as yet again he found himself warming the bench for Kilmarnock.

He did however get a late run out as Kilmarnock lost 1-0 to Livingstone.

There were two reds in action on Monday night as Wilson's Derby faced Nottingham Forest in the East Midlands Derby.

Karius was also in action for Besiktas as they faced Fenerbace in the Istanbul Derby.

Unfortunately it was a frustrating evening for both as Wilson put in an ineffective performance, got booked and finally subbed in the 70th minute as Derby lost to Forest 1-0.

Meanwhile Fenerbache pulled off an 'Istanbul Moment' in Istanbul as they come from 3-0 down at half time to eventually draw 3-3 with Besiktas leaving Karius and his team mates extremely frustrated.

And that's your lot :)

I appreciate your work carragold, but it wouldn't be remiss for you to cite thisisanfield. com, which is surely your source for these updates. Thanks!

Carra, fantastic update as ever. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter whether Professor Klopp is keeping an eye on Awoniyi, the player is as far away from a work permit as the day he arrived.

Neither Awoniyi, Allan Rodrigues or Arroyo will ever play for our club as a few minutes on the Gov. UK website will confirm. Sad but true.

Hi Ed’s in terms of Danny Ings as Carra points out he Misses’s out again through injury, what sort of impacts would his injuries have on his deal going through in the summer. Obviously when for he walks into their team but did they have any sort of clause put in where he has to be available for a certain percentage of games of anything for them to have to purchase Ings or are they able to pull out of the deal?
Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - They have a commitment to buy, but obviously if there is a major issue it can be reviewed.}

Reading won 1-2 btw 😉.

Just a question for any of the Ed's that are available. Over the last few seasons, there have been some former Championship players that have become impact players for Premier League teams.

Are there any current Championship players you think we should keep an eye on, and are there any that Liverpool may be interested in? I don't get to see Championship matches where I am, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - Dael Fry (CB) Liverpool has a declared interest in Fry as they look to bolster the HG quota - knowing that prices will increase - much is expected of Fry
I cannot say whether or not there is any firm interest in Lloyd Kelly (CB), but I can say that Liverpool have looked at a couple of younger CBs as I have explained and other potential options like both Lloyd Kelly and Aidan Wilson who have been "recommended" to the club by an "agent" who may be open to cutting corners. More than that I cannot say without some issues arising.}

Ed2 - you are the wind beneath our wings sir! 😊
Thanks so much for all your incredible contribution!

{Ed002's Note - I guessed it would be "wind" based.}

Who do you support ed 02? Just as a matter of interest.

{Ed002's Note - I have a soft spot for a few sides, Greenock Morton, Chelsea, and obviously Marseille. When I was a beautiful, pretty child with the most amazing hair there were no teams nearby. When i moved to England in 1981 my wife and I moved to Chelsea, close to the ground.}

Hahaha ok thanx I don't know why but I thought u supported man United for some reason, balotelli is scoring still, and great result for Chelsea, greenock Morton I am not up on, cheers .

Nice to see you around ed002, bild are reporting that werner has agreedd to join bayern this summer. Do you know if this is true or not? Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - All I know is that Forster has met yet again and this time Bayern Munich have put an acceptable package together - now they need to settle on a fee with his club. This has all been expected, but nothing is finalised.}

Pesonally i think insigne will be the no1 target. Napoli bid for icardi. Read into that what you will.

Hello Ed002! Apart from Werner are we interested in any other forward? Are we interested in Luka Jovic or Piatek?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in Jovic who would certainly not want to move to sit on the bench. Piatek moved last month and won’t be joining Liverpool. Insigne is liked by Klopp but he would be a Salah or mane replacement, is getting on a bit and has a huge asking price, so I would scratch him. Liverpool has Brewster waiting in the wings and I would think he provides a very good option - else he might want to consider his options.}

thanks Ed002!
