Quick question, a little out of left field but was the reina deal at linked with the can buy back clause that Bayer Munich had on him or does that clause still exist? Sorry if this has been address before.
Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Can was not signed from Bayern Munich.}

I'm aware of that, but I'm aware that Munich set a clause when he was purchase by Leverkusen. Now I wondered if that clause had be nullified when we bought him and whether reina could have been part of the payment reparation.

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool just purchased the player. I explained it all at the time.}

Eds, you said nothing has changed regarding Pjanic.
I presume if we fail to make top four our chances are limited?
Also who else is interested in him at this moment in time?
At first, although he's been quality every time I've watched him play, I thought he was severely overpriced, but having considered that he would still be less than is being quoted for Falcao, and at a much younger age, he is worth a good deal of money!

{Ed002's Note - Pjanic is not a striker so cannot be compared to Falcao at all.

PSG and Manchester City remain keen on the signing of Miralem Pjanic but both are constrained by UEFA sanctions and will need to sell before buying - and may well be put off by the price. PSG would be willing to include Verratti as part of the deal but Verratti is set on a move elsewhere. Liverpool and Spurs have enquired and are aware that he could be available at the right price - but that would be very high (€50M) and the player has said he has no interest in either club - whether or not that would change if the asking price and wages were matched I don't know. Manchester United also made an enquiry before appointing a new manager in the summer, but it went nowhere. Borussia Dortmund and Zenit St Petersburg seem to have dropped their interest. The player is looking for €250k per week in wages and would probably not be interested in moving to a non-Champions League club. Roma's owners have said they don't want to sell but the player is looking for a way out.}

Thanks Ed2,
Yeah, fair enough, I understand strikers' prices are considerably higher than other players' and they can command higher wages too, but, for argument's sake, Pjanic represents considerably better value at this point in time.
One quick question on that though- who is Verratti looking to move on to? He's a quality, young, central midfielder, too, in my book. He'd be perfect in Spanish football but Barcelona have their transfer ban and both Real and Athletico aren't short on central midfielders, neither are Bayern or Juve, who could attract him from other top leagues. So, I fear, is it another Premier League team?

{Ed002's Note - If Marco Verratti were available there would be plenty of clubs interested, not least Juventus and he remains open to a move there. PSG will be prepared to let him go to Juventus as part of a deal for Pogba. Real Madrid will push if it looks like he is going to be available.}

Dear Ed
Is he as good as he is greedy?

{Ed002's Note - Measured how?}

Eds any interest from Liverpool in Luiz Adriano?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not one for the summer in all probability. Luiz Adriano's contract runs out at the end of the year (one of the last remaining December contracts) and he is able to negotiate a move as a free agent from the end of the season. Roma, Porto, Juventus and Galatasaray are interested. I am a little surprised that there is no firm interest from Liverpool, AC Milan or Arsenal at this time. Roma are looking to take him on loan with a view to making the move permanent in January 2016, which will get Shakhtar a small fee.}

Hi eds are Liverpool still interested in taking Sergio Romero on a free in the summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - He will likely move elsewhere.}

{Ed002's Note - No, he has decided to move to Borussia Monchengladbach rather than Liverpool.}
