Hi eds are Aspas and Alberto likely to leave the club in the summer?

Believable37 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - I would think both will leave - perhaps Alberto only on loan.}

I think Alberto should be given pre season to see what he has got to offer and then perhaps loaned out I wouldn't sell him.

Agree1 Disagree0

I read that Alberto will go on loan to a spanish club.

Hello eds, saw rumours that were are not just trying to sign lallana and lovren but were also looking at nathaniel clyne is there any truth in this? Seems bizarre as he's not a proven right back and Southampton surely won't let all there prize assets leave. Also any news on lovren and lallana amazing players, love to see the in Liverpool colours, do you expect them to sign?

Believable7 Unbelievable27

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from another club in Clyne but I am not aware of any from Liverpool.}

Clyne would be an excellent replacement for Johnson.

Question for ed2.read earlier this week that sanchez has agreed terms with juventus.was wandering if UV herd anymore on this as I'd lv to see him with a liverbird upon his chest :) cheers

Believable6 Unbelievable51

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest from Juventus in Sanchez and there is no secret that his agent has confirmed that they would be willing to meet the terms that the player desires. However, they are far from agreeing a figure with Barcelona for the sale - very far indeed. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on and would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. Barcelona will perhaps look to replace Fabregas with Vidal and will perhaps be looking to that as an option whilst there is such a difference between what is being asked and what is being offered. Perhaps they would consider a deal including Sanchez, Song and Mascherano for Suarez - we will see.}

Ed are you being serious?song, masch and sanchez?thats a rediculous offer IMO.im hoping your been sracastic?thanks

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps just Sanchez and Song and some money then.}

Would it be fair to say then ed2 that Barcelona are more likely to offer us players rather than just a fee if they try and negotiate a deal for Suarez?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are planning on clearing the decks player wise and I think if they are also to bid they will look to include some - that might of course suit Liverpool.}

Do we have interest in song, if so would it be for cb or dm?or both rodgers likes a versatile player, I know you don't like talking bout money so I won't ask for figures but froma fans perspective and a personal veiw it would have to be a lot of cash and I thought barcelona were skint to use a word/?
thanks again

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest at this time and Barcelona will be selling many, many players and trading others - just ignore the money.}

No Pedro then ;)

There is no way on earth Liverpool would consider swapping suarez for 3 players barca don't want and paying the wages they would demand.chelsea and man city can flash their cheque books at those kind of wages but not us .i know this is a rumour page but surley that's just opinion?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - The Liverpool posters have been craving those players - they were examples.}

If Barca were to get Vidal I'm presuming that rules out any chance of Yaya returning there, where could be his likely destination if he refuses to stay with those who don't make cakes?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Try the MC page.}

Plenty of posters have been pining after Sanchez and Mascherano, now ed suggests them as an example and nobody wants them! Brilliant stuff.

Anyway, interesting thoughts ed, we must hold onto Suarez though.

Eds are we looking at any keepers from Germany to potentially replace Mignolet ie Leno, Trapp or Zieler?

Believable2 Unbelievable21

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Ive watched trapp a few time he looks a very good keeper and one for the future I have not watched zieler

To all ed's, we all value your opinions and thoughts. Could you tell us whether YOU think suarez will leave this summer and if he does who do you think will be his realistic replacment? Hopefully NOT Mario!

Cheers

Believable1 Unbelievable26

{Ed002's Note - I really don't want to speculate too much. He has been playing well and I have explained that there will certainly be one club making an offer for him. There may well be too. I have also explained that I rather think he would like to play in the Champions League with Liverpool next season, but could end up in the position of deciding if it is "now or never" for a move to Spain.}

The mancirro has stated if Suarez leaves we r going to make a move for ballatelli collymore part two.

Morning all, just read that Erkins contract runs out this summer and would like to step up in his career and you said we have had some interest before could we look to get him on a free also reading that we are interseted in Ashley cole? and that us and Arsenal are interested in Mario Balotelli it there actually any truth in this?

First time posting, great site!

Believable2 Unbelievable21

{Ed002's Note - Fenerbahce and Caner Erkin struggled in their initial discussions over his contract which runs out this summer. It would not surprise me if Liverpool were looking at him as he does have a good reputation. Cerainly Inter, Hannover 96, Arsenal and Roma have had him watched. I understand he has a very high signing on fee and wage demands put of a deal with Inter and he will now stay with Fenerbahce.

Ashley Cole is aware of a number of options. The MLS is one. A very significant offer from Turkey is another. There was interest from one EPL side and I understand they stepped back when the costs were mentioned. Any club making an offer will probably need Champions League football, agree a two year deal with significant wages and a significant signing on fee.

Balotelli is playing up again and could well be leaving in the summer. Monaco and Arsenal have previously shown some interest. If Liverpool are considering him, and I don't know that they are, it would be as a replacement for Suarez.}

Ed002, Some interesting observations there for me.

Firstly. Ashley Cole. When mentioned before you have always put "Liverpool have shown no interest in him" which you have omitted this time. Have things changed?

Secondly. Balotelli. "It would be as a replacement for Suarez". I have read many quotes from Suarez saying he is happy at LFC now CL has been secured. He has enrolled his daughter in school here (If reports are to believed). Do you personally think there is a chance he will be leaving in the summer?

Not trying to put words into your mouth. Just trying to get clarification on your above comments.

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in him from Liverpool. There is no relevance in enrolling his daughter in a school - he has a legal obligation to. There will be interest in him.}

Ed, Mario Balotelli is a Liverpool target according to the press today. Ian Ayre's motor bike is making a quick dash to Milan pronto pronto!

Morning all, first time writer today but long time follower. eds could you clear this 1 up for me, what's the deal with kono? are we pursuing other targets now that we are in the CL. Is Kono deemed good enough now that we will be playing at that level nxt season. If he is good enough then why not just pay the 12.1 million now and activate the buy out clause before tottenham start sniffing around, again!

Cheers

Believable2 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Right now it is Manchester United, Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs who are showing interest and looking to negotiate a transfer but the player desires Champions League football. Liverpool seem to have dropped the interest they had and have not spoken to Dnipro since January.

Ignore any thoughts about "buy out" clauses.}

26 May 2014 11:08:21
Lost count of the number of times Ed002 has had to do 'buy out clause' vs 'release clause' vs 'termination clause'.

Seabass, search the archives for it.

Hi eds

Are you aware of any interest from anyone in Jese Rodriguez? And do you think RM would be reluctant to let him leave?

Thanks

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest in Jese right now and there is no possibility of him moving this summer.}

Fiorentina may well bid for lucas during the transfer window. They have been interested for a couple of years now and did make a bid before. I'm told they are still interested and he is one of a couple of players they are looking at for that position.

Fiorentina did not buy Anderson and are still looking for a central midfielder or two, so it seems plausible.

Hope the club learn how they do business after Aqualini transfer.

Honestly I'd let Lucas go. Tremendous servant but hasn't been the same since he done in his cruciate at Chelsea nearly threw years ago. If Emre Can (who is a better player than Lucas I have to admit) comes in I can see this happening as Fiorentina have been sniffing around for ages.
