Ed is Hulk a target? {Ed001's Note - we are certainly closely watching Porto, I would think he is the most likely person responsible for that.}
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
if your right Ed ( i certainly hope you are! ) then what would you say our chances of signing him are and for about what price? Cheers Mate! {Ed005's Note - In all honesty mate I wouldn't bank on it. And I would say he'd cost atleast £25m}
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Hey Ed me again (sorry) but is there anyway you could get Ed001 to comment on this? Thanks! {Ed001's Note - he gave pretty much the same answer as I would mate.}

Hey Ed I've never got this Hulk thing I just don't rate him I'd be much happier if we were watching Porto because of Cristian Rodriguez, could he be a target? Would he be good enough for Prem? {Ed002's Note - I remember him at PSG and he may well be being watched. As for whether or not he is good enough I can't say as I have not seen much of him recently.}

Liverpool outs in the summer:
Ngog
Maxi
Aurelio
Poulson
Konchesky

liverpool ins (maybe) in the summer:
Sanchez
Adam
Young
Cahill
Turan
Gervinho. .

alot of rumours about sanchez.
we also tried to get adam in january so why not in the summer.
KK is after english players therefore Young is a great, fast, strong, talented, skillful winger.
cahill is a great defender.
KK said to woy to get turan but he said no. why not?
and alot of rumours about gervinho. .

Suso is looking quality for reserves, why not give him a run out next season with Pacheco?

Gerard Houllier wants Ngog

Well I'll personally give him a piggy back to the midlands if this is true

Red Mosquito

25 Mar 2011 20:46:39
Cristian Ansaldi has emerged as a possible target for Kenny dalgliesh

Personally i think he is a good versatile defender, he can play right back or left back.

I think man city were interested in him last summer

Have you heard anything about it Ed?
Dan

{Ed002's Note - There are clubs awaiting his availability on a free at the end of the year. There has been interested but I don't know if the is anything firm from Liverpool.}

25 Mar 2011 20:19:43
Anyone heard of the rumours that grant basey has signed a pre-contract with us? I think he's a left back.

25 Mar 2011 20:10:31
Ed - Has Honda disappeared of the LFC radar?

Beggers {Ed002's Note - At least for the ime being. The opportunity was there in January and Liverpool did not push ahead with their previous interest. The new season has now started so a summer departure seems less likely.}

Ed you seem so sure of the players that won't be signing for us so do you know the players that will? {Ed005's Note - No-one knows what players will be signing. But there are players, for obvious reasons that have been stated before, who simply won't be coming i.e. Aguero, Sanchez, Hazard.}

You may be in for a shock then. . {Ed005's Note - Certainly hope I'm in for a good shock but somehow, I can't see it. Expand. . . . . }

Lets just say don't put Hazard and Sanchez out of the picture just yet. As for Aguero, no chance.

I expect 7 in - LB, DM, CM, LW, RW, CB, ST
Out: Poulsen, Konchesky, Jovanovic, Jones, El Zhar, Degen, Ngog, Soto, Maxi, Aquilani, Insua

25 Mar 2011 19:30:57
Ed, what are the chances of us getting Mexes? Are we even interested in him? {Ed001's Note - there is definitely an interest, he is a player Comolli rates highly. The chances of getting him are much more difficult to ascertain, he seems intent on keeping his options open right now.}

25 Mar 2011 17:17:05
Hey Ed, there's been a lot of talk of who is coming in but any idea of who all are going out. I mean are any of our 'not in the scheme' players being linked to other teams or will it be hard to sell them for reasonable money?

Harsha

{Ed002's Note - Some will certainly be hard to sell for reasonable money and freeing players of their contracts may be the solution. I expect Aquilani to be sold and Jovanovic plus some of the fringe players. A centre back may be replaced and I expect Konchesky and Pacheco to go. David Amoo may also move on.}

25 Mar 2011 17:12:34
Ed, why don't you think Sanchez would join us? {Ed002's Standard Response – I will try and explain what I know to be correct and what is “rumoured” about Alexis Sanchez. We know that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made unsuccessful bids, and we know that Manchester United and Barcelona have a declared interest. Juventus had previously been interested but were hoping that (a) Sanchez stayed under the radar until a deal could be struck, and (b) Udinese would look kindly on an arrangement that included some cash and several players either in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. As an aside Juventus have proposed a similar deal for Javier Pastore. Anyway, there was a January meeting with Chelsea in Monaco and broad agreement was reached over the transfer before Giampaolo Pozzo said that the deal must include a loan of the player back to Udinese. Whilst Barcelona were apparently willing to agree to this until the end of the season, Pozzo proposed that whoever Sanchez moved to should allow him to be loaned back for 18 months – hence the end of any discussions. I expect that Juventus will not come back in to the picture. Although Sanchez has been watched by numerous teams, there is nothing new other than a "rumour" that Manchester City may be preparing a bid as well. They have, like Juventus, recently been knocked back in a bid for Pastore and are likely to aim their cheque book in another direction – this may well be Sanchez. I suspect that we will see a saga drag out through the summer transfer window as Pozzo puts the player on the market, takes him off the market, values him at €100M and so on. Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter will all likely remain interested but could well tire of the expected drawn-out negotiations. Manchester United and Chelsea were both originally wary of the player being not quite as robust as needs be for the EPL. Perhaps Inter will get their man. Now you know as much as I do about the matter.}

Alexis Sanchez is the winger we need, he is tricky, strong, quick and scores great goals, up top with Suarez and Carroll, that would be the best in the League if not Europe.

YNWA JFT96 {Ed002's Note - Sadly he will not be moving to Liverpool.}

25 Mar 2011 15:47:12
Back when Kenny came in I said. . Kenny will get a 2 - 3 year deal. Sammy will leave with Clarke taking over assistant role.

When Kenny's contract is up he will move upstairs once again and Clarke is the managerial replacement.

We have always said we wanted a young manager to take over Clarke is LFC boss in 2 - 3 years.

No Jose, no Rafa, no german, no frenchmen, no anyone its Kenny then Clarke.

Ed002's Note - Very expensive - what about Mexes on a free with say a £3M signing on fee instead? Mexes is not good enough for us.He colect 5-6 red card every season, also he can make some very stupid mistake from time to time.we need Neven Subotic.He will be better then Vidic very soon.SERBIAN RED

{Ed002's Note - Subotic is not a target for Liverpool and will not be making the move to Anfield. As I have said before, if a centre back is sought, I see Mexes as a very real target of Liverpool.}

Mexes has signed a pre-contract agreement with AC Milan
GH15

{Ed002's Note - Oh well, what do I know then?}

Just read the Malouda rumour on CaughtOffside. I rate him as a player, but he's getting on a bit. What's your thought ed? and what price do you think he'll leave Chelski at? {Ed001's Note - I don't think he is likely in the summer, they have a number of players set to leave, I am not convinced yet he will be one of them. I certainly don't think his price would be worthwhile for a player in the twilight of his career.}

25 Mar 2011 14:01:17
Reading that Liverpool will be in for Malouda and Turan in the summer. Apparently it all hinges on whether Chelsea bid for Turan or not. His agent says he (Turna) will definitely move to Premiership this season and it has to be one of the top 5 clubs.

Not sure why top 5 but perhaps being a Liverpool fan (or so I believe) he thinks we will finsih 5th. I would love to him in the Red of Liverpool. On the edge of your seat player just like our own Suarez

{Ed002's Note - The most likely destination remains Atletico Madrid.}

Bob Wilson, old Arsenal keeper is in the press saying Wenger went for Reina last summer, and bid big! I would expect them to come in for him again this summer given their goalkeeping woes this season. As long as we get a good fee £20m+ for Pepe, we should accept, if as widely reported he wants to move on. There are plenty of good goalkeepers out there - Gulasci seems to have the goalkeeping no.2 spot, given Jones is out on loan. Hugo Lloris would be my 1st choice to replace Pepe, he's around 25 years old and has real ability.

All this talk of benzema, I very much doubt that we will get him, ( although I come on here everyday hoping and preying of news we have.) as he is on fire, real will keep him, plus if moriniho has plans to come back to prem with rival club, he will not want him going to Liverpool, if we do get him DC will have earned my respect. I heard Rumours if real got the other fella from city on loan real were happy to loan him to Liverpool, but since then he has hit form, so if we were to buy him, respect is rightly due to staff. I just hope a deal is already in place, as surely real must be having second thoughts of releasing him, the way has responded to a move away from real.

Ed, Gary Cahill, thoughts? {Ed002's Note - Ver expensive - what about Mexes on a free with say a £3M signing on fee instead?}

The player that I think we should go all out for this summer is Adam Johnson! the lad is quality and runs at people and I feelthats just what we need. I think that £20m should do it and in my opinion he is worth that! Imagine him, suarez and Carroll up top!
Also I think we should look at bringing in Taiwo on a free I think he is a good left back and would obviously be cheaper than other options to save money for other areas.
Yann M'Vila will be world class one day I seriously thi k he is the next Viera and I'm happy to see Liverpool linked with such a great young player £15m is being touted and if I was kenny I'd pay it straight away,
Finally we need some back up striker wise! Bojan is said to be an option on loan! Might be wise! Apart from that I can't see benzema wanting to play second fiddle to anyone I dunno who else we should get? Gervinho? Any good ed?

{Ed002's Note - I agree about Johnson and M'Vila. Taiwo is more interested in Benfica or options in Italy. If they dry up he may be interested in one of the offers from England - I remain surprised that so many Liverpool supported see him as good enough. Bojan would not be available on loan unless Barcelona were sure he would be getting a start most times - Gervinho is a very good shout.}

Hey Ed,
With the atrocious amount of wingers and full backs being linked with LFC; not to mention the center back and Strike force area(the latter I do not understand why the need of high profile players),
Who do you think are the top LFC targets and almost done deals for the summer.
Please throw some light Ed

{Ed002's Note - The closest to a done deal remains Sylvain Marveaux - and even he is looking to prove his fitness by playing again for Rennes this season and keep his options open. Macca has said that Charlie Adam, Ashley Young and Karim Benzema are all but done deals. Personally I disagree about Benzema based upon what I have been told by someone. I expected Manchester United to make a bid for Young as well but that is conjecture on my part. Adam is a player I am not keen on as I see betetr options available, but I have to accept that Macca may well be spot on with these. Aside from those, there are no deals near complete as far as I can tell at the moment. This Spring is the busiest I can recall for pre-transfer window efforts. A number of clubs are pushing to reach agreements now and this is forcing the hands of other clubs to get involved.}

You're spot on with Adam Ed, as he might well be A big fish in the pond type character . . . . . . .
We need someone in the mould of an Alonso . . . . . . further me and a few other blokes are of the opinion that with Stevie G getting on the wrong side of 30, should rather be kept at a deeper role and someone younger and more dynamic brought to orchestrate bombardments upwards(like Honda) . . . . . just wingers, a central midfielder and a left back. Kuyt as back up for forwards is good with Pacheco getting more chances. Dont know what went wrong with Nemeth, looked like a brilliant prospect

Heard off my mate on the phone that Morinho is intrested in the liverpool job once again. With camoli in the ranks and also steve clarke who he won numerous league titles with at chelsea he sees the foundations in position for Liverpool to challenge once again.

Dont get me wrong this could be rubbish but im just saying what i heard.

{Ed002's Note - What is the relevance of Comolli? I am also pretty sure two titles is not "numerous".}
