Ed do you think we have a decent chance of getting llorente in january or on a free in the summer? {Ed002's Note - No.}

24 Sep 2012 18:48:44
Ed how come? last time someone asked about strikers you said getting llorente on a pre contract was a viable option. whats changed. cheers {Ed002's Note - There is a big difference between a "Viable option" of getting him on a pre-contract and a "decent chance" of him signing in January. I would say there is little or no chance of him joining in January - if he moves then it will be to a CL side. If Liverpool put together a big enough package including a signing on fee asthen no doubt it will be considered.}

Mate FSG will sign no one in Jan they are useless.

Why do fans ask ed002 opinon on signings its the same answer everytime no/ buy to sell wont come to lfc its getting old {Ed002's Note - Did I get it wrong with Cavani, Levazzi, Hazard, Higuain, Kaka etc. this summer? It would suit me down to the ground if you find some other Ed to ask who says Cavani etc. are joining - you can get off together on that. Moron.}

FSG do not have the finances to make a deal happen. There was rumours of them considering selling the Red Sox but I think eventually it will make more sense of them to sell LFC. The playing staff & wage bill has been reduced to make a potential sale happen. LFC will probably be involved in relegation scrap anyway so we have no chance of signing top players.

We will not be in any relegation scrap stop being such a person...

It's a shame that Macca felt the need to say sorry on 31st August, regarding no signings on the final day. It obviously wasn't Macca's fault; and I just wanted to say a big thanks to Macca and the Eds for keeping us all informed about what's going on. It really is much appreciated.

I echo Macca's thoughts on Brenden Rogers, Rome wasn't built in a day, and if we can bring in a world class forward in January 2013 then maybe we're on the up.

You'll Never Walk Alone!

Mate why blame ed2 for saying truth.if we could afford players like Llorente we wouldn't be bottom3 in league

Hi Ed's.

Do you anything regarding the injury on Lucas? When will he be back? {Ed001's Note - he is due back in November.}

Hi, eds. this is more of a question regarding the game, rather than transfers; seeing that shelvey was given a drirect red, which was a rather amusing, if your ask me. Can we appeal of it and bring down the suspension? Or does it still stand as a 3 match ban?

Ratan. {Ed001's Note - an appeal being successful would require the ref admitting he got it wrong, that will not happen.}

Then could the F.A. punish Evans retrospectively considering the tackles were equally dangerous?

GuvTOB {Ed001's Note - not going to happen.}

Do u think the ref got it wrong then ed001?
It's one of those tackles in the modern game where if u lunge in and don't make contact with the ball then it's a sending off. {Ed001's Note - he made contact with the ball, but that is irrelevant, the only question is whether it was dangerous, which neither were. Both were reckless, which carries a yellow card, both should have got that and the game should have carried on. It is embarrassing to even be discussing this, if that carries a red then we may as well give up on allowing contact at all.}

Not from that fergie lover

Do you think it has somthing to do with the SIR

Sir Alex wouldn't be impressed

So ex Liverpool players that have said it was a sending off are wrong then? Shelvey clearly caught johnn Evans on the leg and was not under control. Johnny Evans won the ball first aswell. {Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - I think the rationale for Shelvey departing the game early is clear. He had another commitment that clashed with the game. Shopping with WonderDogSparky.}

Remember ex United players said It wasnt a sending off and that the ref robbed us. its all by their perspective...JLFC

Yea even gary neville said liverpool were hard done by

Does the three match ban include the Carling cup and europa cup games- i hope so

It does include carling cup but not European games only domestic

I really don't think it was a sending off , he did not have studs showing ,.
Must say I am very disappointed at Liverpool FC, I love my club, but we need someone to okay down the middle , joking apart , Owen or even Fowler would of won us that game.
I don't believe we are progressing , still nothing in front of goal..... From last season we needed a goal scorer , we still waiting

Hi Eds,

With the possibility of Agger being out for the rest of the season, do you think we would off-load him once the season is up & he is fit? (Too injury prone)

RedMatt {Ed001's Note - he is highly unlikely to be out for the rest of the season, even more unlikely to leave unless forced out. He had the chance to move in the summer and rejected it.}

He's back within two weeks, guys. Relax.

McSnuggles

He's only injured because he got stuck in after suso gave a dodgy pass.

Hi Eds.
Any news on Agger, looked pretty serious (or was the stretcher just a precaution).
Regards Cabernet. {Ed001's Note - he has an MCL, knee ligament injury, we won't know how serious it is for a day or two though.}

Sounds bad, considering its agger too being a slow healer. Coates it is then.

Kaizer

Considering it's Agger, it'll probably be a while. Good lad, but fragile and heals very, very slowly.

Any word on Kelly, Ed? Thought he played very well today honestly. {Ed002's Note - The injury will be assessed today or tomorrow.}

I did my MCL playing professionally in the in the states and I was out 5 weeks with a grade 3 tear and that is considered the worst MCL grade injury. He should be back this season...just be glad it wasn't his ACL...did my ACL and ended my playing career.

RyanWhittington&hisCat

Don't u mean acl there'a articular,cruciate,posteieur i think theres' four or five

There are 4 knee ligaments
ACL - Anterior cruciate
PCL - Posterior cruciate
MCL - Medial collateral
LCL - Lateral collateral

MCL and LCL (at either side of the knee) injuries are much less serious than ACL and PCL (right in the middle of the knee joint).

Did my MCL skiing, was back within 6-8 weeks IIRC. Hopefully it is a lateral ligament injury rather than a cruciate.

I hope it's not a serious injury...
Looks like Coates will be given a chance, our good old Carra is awesome, but time goes by...

Just come through on a web site that martin kelly will be out until at least next year. Not sure yet about Agger.

I had a medial ligament damage from playing football about 4-5 weeks out but thats without all the specialist... Then came started playing again and did my ACL 2 weeks later! So i cant play sunday league anymore and i'm only 25 gutteed....

Official Website says Agger has no ligament damage. He has bruising on his knee.

Club now saying it's just bruising so fingers crossed .

Thanks i ahd six knee ops but ot on ligaments 4 in margate and 2 in rohs london all related to strengthing in my groove and cartialage 2 major (maragt and stanmore included )still six can't run cycling stilla mare . last on gave out in consult room they where about to do a tci they cancelled on day doing mri in stanmore i know it will not be perfect but i don't it collapsing or going like a gun like it did to day

Realting to above within stanmore op i hade to grafts which is rare . but also i had andrew flintoffs op chrondriod articular scaffold in 2010 19 wweks on crutches so there are diffrent ops only 44 to young to have rebuild

Sounds like Agger's actually in the best shape of the 3 injured. No structural damage according to the club.
