Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Liverpool have enquired about Brescia's 18 year old midfielder Sandro Tonali. Apparently Roma are interested too and he's supposed to be highly rated.

Anyone or any of the Eds heard anything or know anything about him?

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It was a while back and the interest has gone. There has been various levels of interest from several other sides as well.}

As always, thank you very much Ed002.

This guy is like Pirlo but better at dribbling.

Best steer clear then. Pirlo was dreadfully over rated. When his team didn't have the ball they basically had 10 men.

That’s like saying Henry was overrated because he couldn’t head the ball very well. Not all greats are great everything. Pirlo is the player Jorginho wishes he could be.

Agree2 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - depends on which point in Pirlo's career you are referring to. In his early days he was known for running with the ball. At the end of his career when playing deep, he was massively overrated because of what he did when his laziness was masked by having hardworking midfielders doing all the work for him.}

In my defence Ed001, I don't remember the early part of Pirlo's career! I just saw the last 12 years from when he was in his late 20's, where he stood in the centre circle spraying passes, took set pieces, and then left his team mates to win it back and give it to him. At times it looked like he was deliberately positioning himself to not have to make a tackle! I certainly wouldn't want that player that I saw in this team.

Henry couldn't head the ball very well. But that is not a vital trait for a striker of his ilk. Putting in a bit of effort defensively is a pretty vital trait for a holding midfielder I think!

Rumour on Twitter from a reliable guy I follow has said we have opened talks with Brescia for this guy.

{Ed002's Note - Certianly Liverpool enquired a while ago - game time will be a major issue.}

Good evening Ed's

Appreciate the summer is a long way off, do you think there is a chance we might push to try and sign Werner in the Summer, especially if Sturridge&Origi are set to move on. I'm aware you posted a while ago on the garbage the kid from Manchester and what he said but do you think TW is a genuin target that Klopp likes or would you categorically rule him out?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I would not rule him out but Werner would want to be a starter and that is hard to see. My expectation remains that if Bayern Munich can convince themselves his issue over his ears can be managed then they will push for him.}

24 Jan 2019 18:44:13
What's wrong with his ears.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - He falls over if it gets noisy.}

24 Jan 2019 18:51:56
No good at Anfield then!

Agree6 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He wears ear plugs during games.}

24 Jan 2019 18:55:55
Salah does that too ;-) City players might do but there’s never enough fans at the emptyhad to test that theory :-D.

Well at least there's no chance Werner will fall over in the away games then.

He came of in a game before because it was to loud and giving him a head ache for those who don't get ed002s joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You think it is a joke? It is why Real Madrid dropped their interest.}

24 Jan 2019 21:59:36
That is so strange, it's like Balotelli being allergic to Grass. Lol.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - but balotelli now smokes astroturf..

24 Jan 2019 23:44:33
Thank you for your detailed reply Ed, much appreciated.

Reminds of Royce White, ex-NBA. He had a crippling fear of flight and couldn't cope on away games so it ruined his once promising career.

Sorry guys. don't rate him . looks slow to me and plain . Brewster should be given a chance when back from injury. that kid has talent . mbabbe number 2 . why waste 40-60mil when we have a star already.

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - slow? Do you actually know who he is? Werner's main strength is he is lightning quick.}

25 Jan 2019 01:20:12
ED02 just a curios question based on this thread; do refrees make a comcesiom for him in the event he does not hear the whistle and keeps on playing, as there are times when players get a yrllow card not realising the whistle has been blown.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

25 Jan 2019 09:35:01
I'm not surprised ed002 doesn't look good on a owl c. v.

25 Jan 2019 17:44:24
Dennis Bergkamp had a fear of flying too Amerigo. Always travelled by land or sea for away games.

25 Jan 2019 17:48:28
Does he actually dislike loud noisey staidiums? 😳.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the noise gave him vertigo so he has had to get ear plugs to cope. Not so much dislike as it makes him ill. He is not the first sportsperson to have this problem.}

26 Jan 2019 00:04:57
Well fair enough if it’s an actual medical condition! I just thought he couldn’t concentrate! I wonder if it affects him hearing his teammates?
