I'm hearing we are very interested in kovacic from inter. If lucas goes to Napoli, we would be looking to try and include Borini in a deal for him. Swap deals are rare, but Borini wants inter and we want kovacic. I think it's unlikely this will happen this window, but kovacic is definitely on Rodger's wish list.

I would love this to be true; Kovacic is already a good player and would fit in well. Probably unlikely though.

Looks very talented but I'm not sure he is the tough tackling player we need and is too similar to our other midfielders in Can, Allen, hendo.

Need to be going for De Jong, Diame type for me

Ed1 do you have any idea when we will announce the signing of mario? I'm getting bit nervous wondering if this signing will fall through aswell. Cheers mate. Sorry this isn't on banter board but for some reason it puts me straight onto rumour messages, .

{Ed002's Note - I cannot reasonably answer questions about timings, particularly when Mr Ayre will burst forth from the maternity ward declaring "It's a boy - Balotelli is joining Liverpool!"

Reasonably, and as I must have typed a hundred times this week, he will be announced once his medical has been successfully completed, terms have been agreed and signed off (no bizarre clauses of course), the paperwork has been submitted, processed and international clearance obtained. I would think everything will be fine and sorted out in the next few days.}

Bank holiday weekend won't speed up the process I'm guessing.

Once Ballotelli signs his contract, sings his initiatation song, digs up some of the ground outside Anfield, buys Brendan a Mars bar, fixes the puncture on Ayre's bike and finally hands all his fireworks over to the club then AND ONLY THEN will the deal be finalised.

In all seriousness though folks this story only broke a couple of days ago and has progressed at a quick rate as it is compared to some of our other aquisitions, what the hell is people's problem waiting an extra couple of days?

You all read this site so you all know the countless times the eds have explained how rigorous our medicals are.

Hi Eds, have we shown any interest in Jese from Real Madrid? Personally think he'd be a great signing if Borini goes. He's so much better and could be a first team star in a couple of years.
