Strong rumours surfacing of a possible deal for Fabio carvalho from Fulham. Although out of contract at end of the season a compensation fee would be due to Fulham. A deal may be made for a reasonable fee before the window closes loaning him back to Fulham for the rest of the season. Looks a proper player!

A good young player.
His contract is running down, so would be good to pick him up without paying a fee.

Bring on the Dortmund model, which will never work unless young players see that path is open at LFC.
Nurturing young talent into world class talent, whilst signing a few top dogs like Diaz is much more rewarding than buying up the Grealish's of this world .

With signings like VVD and Ali, things are nicely balanced out. I would not bet against some 'big' signings coming in this summer, along with the usual choice pick of talented youth players.
Re Diaz, potentially pegleg yes, although around half of the price and twice the player.

what is the plan for Gomez - doesn't look like he's even getting a sniff at game time?
as much as i love Matip's mazy runs - i still feel like he a weak link in our backline and we should be focusing on Konate and Gomez and 2nd and 3rd Choice CB's.

Didn't Gomez come on as a sub today?
Klopp often brings him on for the last few minutes to shore things up. Matip had an off day, he's been far better than that as of late.

They all get a break now anyway. It'll be interesting to see what pairing Klopp goes with when we kick off again.
Van Dijk plus 1 other, but who? We're lucky that we're quite spoiled for quality centre halves at the moment.

In gomez and Konate we have 2 decent and young CBs. Matip is probably the better player right now but age is not on his side and he is not so much better than those others to make his age redundant as it is with VVD. I would be moving Matip on and using Konate and Gomez more often, then using one of the youngsters as back up. No chance I would sell Gomez. Homegrown international standard CB. Not many of them around. Let him and Gomez battle it out to be VVD’s partner and perhaps when he’s gone they can first choice pairing. Sell Phillips though just as I think he’s too good to be 4th choice/ back up and deserves a career elsewhere.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have an option on Saul and may or may not take it up - I suspect they won't and will look to integrate Conor Gallagher instead. Another side has asked to be kept informed of the situation as we move toward the summer - none of this includes Liverpool.}

We have an ageing squad midfield and attack more concerning than the defence
Can you tell us what the plan with Milner is as he's a great addition to the squad and is great to have around the lads but How long can he keep playing for and is their plans or ambition from him and the club to join the coaching staff
