Hey eds..Do you know of any interest in Marco Reus and whether or not he'd be available in January?

Keep up the good work {Ed002's Note - Reus has been playing well and has a growing reputation - enough to alert Bayern Munich - his likely destination at some point. They have been interested since the early summer. Additionally Juventus, Manchester City, Arsenal and even his old club Dortmund have shown an interest in Reus, but a move in January seems unlikely.

eds regarding de jong....which other clubs are intrested in him also how much would he be worth? {Ed002's Note - Newcastle and Lille and maybe Blackburn. He would cost perhaps £12.65M at a guess.}

£12.65 million, at a guess!? thats a pretty specific guess! {Ed001's Note - women are very good at gauging specific figures with a guess.}

You see why we must go all out for Cavani {Ed002's Note - MOTD Fever then. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have at one time or another shown an interest. I think it is unlikely that he will move to Liverpool in January.}

Ed, you have said there is no chance of the likes of Hazard, but is there actually any genuine interest or any chance at all of him signing for Liverpool in january {Ed002's Note - I don't know how much more explitily to explain about Hazard. He will not be joining Liverpool. Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.}

Not really MOTD fever tbh, he consistently has good performances and there is proof he can play with Suarez as he is the same nationality and plays with him for Uruguay. I think we should buy him but he will be too much. I doubt we have 35 mil to spend on another striker.

TheShire

Sorry i meant was there actually any genuine interest or chance of cavani signing at all. I just read that back and it didnt make great sense.

Suarez and coates may be able to convince him to move

I don't see how wanting Cavani is MOTD fever, he is a proven goalscorer at every level and tends to perform in big games too. It's an obvious fantasy as he wont want to go to a non champs league team and there are teams that will offer much better wages than we will.

Its not MOTD fever ed lol...Cavani is quality {Ed002's Note - So the message was not posted right after his second goal last night?}

hey ed, do u think there is any chance of getting lavezzi
trinired {Ed002's Note - Se4arch function broken? No, I don't think Lavezzi will be joining in January. Liverpool's interest in Lavezzi pre-dates the last January window. He has an agent in Frederic Guerra who does a really good job of talking up his players without being pushy; and a fabulous technique where he denies interest in his players from major clubs thereby attracting attention to them. It is also likley that he will stay at Napoli - although there is potentially interest from several clubs including Manchester City (who need a replacement for Tevez), Zenit and Inter.}

Hi Eds,
do you think a permanent deal or load could be done in winter with spurs over Pavluchenko or Lennon? Will LFC go for City's Adam Johnson or Milner?
great site
greetings from Poland {Ed002's Note - I don't see any of these as happening in January.}

Oh yes, PLeeease take Pav off us. Seriously, think he would drive Kenny up the wall...and back. The biggest dreamer going.

I'll fight you to drive him up? say £15 mill? sure kenny would pay it!!

Ed with Montolivos contract due to expire in the summer do you think we would show any interest in January or would you say he has already agreed to sign for another club?

I do rate him but would be cautious with our history on Italian imports of late, but at 7-8 million say he could prove viable and at such a small fee and also only being 26 could still be moved on at a profit.

Jonesred {Ed002's Note - Montolivo has attracted a lot of interest but I suspect that Juventus or Milan remain the most likely options at this time.}

I'd be very shocked if he did not end up at Milan as they are ready to give him a very good deal there.

Hi ed, any interest in doumbia? He got over 30 goals in the russian league and we need a goal scorer. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Please just use the search facility rather than just ask a constant stream of questions. There has been an enquiry from Newcastle about Doumbia and it is likely if there is another team who have actually enquired it will be Arsenal. Chelsea and no doubt others have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player.}

Hi ED i know we were scouting FC Porto for quite some time any idea on which player it was for

Thanks

MJ {Ed002's Note - Pereira (probably) or Rolando.}

Hi eds, do you think if we get champions league football next year, we could go for Cavani in the summer? Is there any interest? {Ed002's Note - Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have at one time or another shown an interest. I think it is unlikely that he will move to Liverpool as they have never shown an interest.}

higuain wd be a really good buy! ed, any chance of it happening in jan? will real let him go? {Ed002's Note - Sorry I thought it was the Chelsea page.}

Ha ha!

If you were on the Chelsea page you'd probably see nothing but sulking since our boys turned your boys over.

22 Nov 2011 16:23:07
dyer is certainly not a good option for me.. he s not gonna be better than kuyt or henderson.. wd be surprised if we moved for him.. ed, who is the best winger option for this jan transfer window? and, do you think luk de jong will happen in jan? {Ed002's Note - I expect Eden Hazard and probably Higuain instead of of De Jong.}

Great news we can have a tilt for the title!

GOD BLESS FSG!

Higuain would be brilliant!! possible in jan? real wd let him go?

Ed what have you done!? You've opened a can of worms saying that. Shame they don't understand that you're not serious

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - Well if they read any other posts or used the search function they would know. I made the mistake thinking it was the Chelsea page of course.}

Ha ha ed002 hazard doesnt even want to come to england at all so nor us or u meaning chelsea will be signing him and higuain will go to highest bidder

Chelsea are a plastic club, with an aging squad, a manager under pressure, and a control freak of an owner.

I honestly think Liverpool will be a more attractive option that Chelsea come the summer.

To put the record straight:

Dyer is nowhere near good enough for us and we should not be looking at him, he had a good game against the scum, but it don't make him a £12m player.

We should be looking at getting ourselves back in the top 4 so we get Champions league Football which is crucial, then we can expect the Elite signings(Erickson/Lucas/Kagawa/Hulk etc..), so lets forget about Big Jan signings as it won't happen as the eds have said numerous times, expect De Jong and possible 1 more.

Lastly please stop with all the silly rumours regarding Eden Hazard as he will not join regardless of Champions League football, he Will end up somewhere in Milan.

BigD

Since when kagawa is elite?
hk

Kagawa is a very good player if you watch football you would see just how good he is, also he is a damm sight better than what we have in that position.

Expect De Jong? so you know for sure we will sign De Jong?

Firstly, Kagawa, Lucas and Eriksen are no "elite" signings. Secondly there is no proof that these players will not flop in the premiere league.

Dyer is good player who needs to work on his end product. Apart from that, he has what we need(pace; ability to go past players).
But the 12 milla price tag is a bit on the hefty side. 8 milla max.

BooDaBooze

Kagawa - incerdible season to win bundiselga very young ... i would say ELITE
Erikeson - similar situation and full international i would say ELITE
lucas is most definetly ELITE .. next big brazilian well in line with neymar ganso ect

i serisouly hate when people make opinions on players whom they have very obviously never seen in action .... please please cast your eyes out further than the precious EPL

sorry about spelling

Also hazard will not be anywhewre near milan lol..... most likely asrenal or city {Ed002's Note - Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.}

It's funny how unless something extrodinary happens nothing will happen considering just about every transfer window something of the like happens .... its not unheard of for a plyer to have an attitude in this day and age and also not un heard of for a plyer to leave in january ..... why people even try to predict these days is even beyond me considering the past 3 years has been so much more full on in terms of fees and transfers that anything is due to happen

Who is this guy? Elite players? Hulk? You do realise he is possibly the most over rated in player in history? And don't question my football knowledge like you have others, ive seen him live plenty of times,he's useless.... A homeless mans Arjen Robben....

Go back to watching 3 minute YouTube compilation of players...

Mate ? i didn't even metniton hulk lol ... but 40 goals in 80- games i s a good record in a team winning most of the trophies they take part in including european trophies.... im not insulting your "football knowledge" but if you want me to drop to your level i would gladly test it......
why dont you save your insults and petty attempts for arguments for the pub mate eh

I also posted what i knew about the players ... much more than you seem to have been able to post ....

How can you call Hulk the most overrated player in history you Muppet, his record speaks for its self like a previous poster put, clearly you don't know what you are talking about so as a previous poster put save your mouth for the pub ! !

Hi Ed's if Kuyt is sold in the summer, do you think Walcott could be of intrest if he doesn't sign a new contract at Arsenal? {Ed002's Note - It is much too early to say I am afraid.}

Walcott has said in the past that if given the chance he would sign for Liverpool like a shot if his contract was near completion at Arsenal.

But I doubt we would move for him, his final ball is improving but is still quite rubbish and he really is just all legs no brain

Ed do you know if we have ever looked at Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen ? Great young player
Cheers
Aussie red {Ed001's Note - I don't, but there has been a big push to look at players in the Bundesliga this season (not just by us either!), I am sure any good young player you could name playing there has been looked at.}

I know that he has been monitored heavily in italy. Juve and Inter seem most interested.

Is thera any truth in that liverpool are intrested in Kevin strootman and Lars Bender? {Ed002's Note - Lars Bender would be a surprise. Kevin Strootman maybe but I would be surprised if PSV would let him go in the January window. I also doubt he would get in the Liverpool side just yet, so perhaps one for the future.}

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is lining up a £12m move for Swansea midfielder Nathan Dyer, according to reports. source - footballtalk.co.uk

RE: what a load of rubbish £12m for a Championship player at best makes you laugh

BigD

To be fair we paid £35mil for a Championship standard player so £12mil wouldn't be that far fetched if we were in for him

I think he is a good player look what he did 2 man u

I'm pretty sure he's playing in the premier league, makes him a premier league player in my eyes, if you actually watched any football and seen Swansea and in particular Dyer play you would realise how stupid what you just said was, I think Dyer is exactly the type of player we need, dont forget a certain Adam Johnson signed for city from the championship too and i bet your one of the bandwagon members on here who wanted us to sign him for £25/30 mil a couple of weeks ago

Bash bash bash!!!
Dyer is a year older than Carroll yet his international career is inept in comparision. We should sack all the so called experts, as they obviously dont know naff all.

People need to check there bank accounts,as mine is not missing £35m

He isn't good enough for Premier League. Not even Swansea's top player. Why would any one pay 12m for him. Not even a chance.

I bet you said the same thing about adam to
aintree dave

I think he is a good player look what he did 2 man u
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does this mean that we were right to sign Jimmy Carter on the strength of 2 good games against us for Millwall all those years ago?

What did he do to man utd not score any goals not assist any goals you lot are idiots hes very very average some people dont have a bloody clue about football or players.

so the whole david villa thing has died off.. we need to sign eriksen or luk de jong in jan. wat do you think ed? or dyer and cissokho wd do? {Ed002's Note - Luuk de Jong is a possibility and has been looked at. Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. Back in mid July someone from the Milan Press Office said he had heard of interest from Manchester United - but I am not aware of any confirmation of that interest. I doubt that January is an option for a move to Liverpool, but perhaps the summer. I guess Aly Cissokho would be considered if Enrique were to leave, but that seems unlikely to me. If Liverpool did move for Dyer I would be surprised.}

Ed regarding Cissohko, is it trye Lyon want to sell him for as little as £6m? If so id buy him as it would be real good bk up for enrique {Ed002's Note - No. It is an old story from last summer being recycled. Liverpool looked at the player in the summer but took the Enrique route. Why would Cissokho move to Liverpool to sit on the bench when Aurelio is doing the same.

22 Nov 2011 09:40:19
Heard Liverpoll will sign Luk De Jong in jan for 13m. Then the summer will all depend on whether we get champions leaugue football. If we do, expect one big signing amd a couple other to improve the current team. Heard were looking at R.Albiol Hazard Gotze Kagwa Llorente Salgado and defoe

And let me guess ur source is kenny lol

Is Salgado not about 45 years old now. Anyway don't think the Venky's will let him go on the cheap.

22 Nov 2011 07:20:19
Siem and Luuk the brothers De Jong to play together at Liverpool,forming the best partnership since the De Bores

22 Nov 2011 07:02:13
ed any renewed interest in Marko Marlin? {Ed002's Note - AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Napoli, Juventus and Roma have all shown an interest in Marko Marin in the past and I hear that Arsenal are interested at the moment. Much will depend on whether or not Liverpool make the Champions League as to whether he is a viable option or not; and the summer is a considerable distance away at present. Perhaps Italy is the most likely destination, and I understand his preferred destination.}

22 Nov 2011 07:00:44
Ed - Liverpool to sign Gary Cahill in January for 12-15m? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it but the slimest of chances.}

Not going to happen... We have a good defensive record this season and a hand full of young defenders coming through.

I think we will be looking for another Striker and Attacking Midfielder.

Haha ed002 u only say this cos u want chelsea to sign him to replace terry {Ed002's Note - I would much rather Cheslea did not sign him actually.}
