Talksport are owned by the same media group that owns the S*n. Why are you listening to that rubbish?

heard from other sources this is accurate, offer was made.

I don’t believe palace have made that bid. They outlay £25m the the lad becomes a premier league star but they only make £12m on him seems a bit of a stretch.

Exactly grino, as soon as I heard about the buy black clause figure I knew it was BS. Never in a million years is this true.

It may be a strategy not to drive up the price.

Why don't you think its true? Liverpool had a buy back clause when Ibe left. He flopped so it wasn't excersized and he's on his way out to Derby.

Brewster to Palace for 19 million, 6 million in add ons apparently.

I was expecting upwards of £25 mill.

Apparently we have first refusal and a buy back clause set at £37m too. Pretty decent deal, if you ask me.

Sounds like a good deal but I'm not sure if Palace is the ideal club for him. Whatever it is, if he goes, I wish him the best.

I'd say that was a good deal in the current climate. Especially if the first-refusal and buy-back options are true.
Let him commit to another club and reach his potential and if he proves to be the player we think he could be, then we buy a great player for 12-18m (the difference) . I know there would be all types of other fees involved, but it has got to be best for him at the moment if he is not going to be getting regular game time with us.

Not ideal in terms of play or coaching staff but should get plenty of game time. Should be a starter straight away.

Palace is perfect for him. He will score goals for them because they have players on wide that will cross to him.

To get that much for a player with 0 minutes of top flight football and only 6 months of professional football under his belt is pretty good I would say.

I agree, Palace is perfect for him. While Roy was not a good fit for us, he's clearly a good coach and I've been impressed with how he's handled some of the talent coming through at Palace.

He's probably a better fit for them than he is for us at the moment, as we don't really play with an orthodox number 9.

Palace have denied this and have asked sky to take it offline as Steve parish palace chairman says they haven’t made a bid formal or informal and its totally fabricated.

Bit disappointed that brewster is looking likely to leave. Hoping he could be our new Michael Owen. But he isn't going to get a sniff now jota is here. Good luck to the lad, hope the buy back is legit.

Not sure how people think he would walk in to the Palace team. Batshuayi and Zaha both would be ahead of him and even Jordan Ayew at this stage would also be ahead of him.

Sheff Utd on the other hand, higher up the table but I think it would be easier for him to start there than with Palace.

Leeds would be a far better option for him, similar playing style to us, would fit right in there in my opinion.

Morning Eds, with City agreeing a fee for Kounde would that take a possible move for Carlos off the table for Liverpool, I can't see Sevilla wanting to lose both first team CB’s and if they have no need to sell DC now that they are getting money in could that force us in to second choice?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do not have the money to buy Diego Carlos with out significant sales. Liverpool have other options if they do decide to buy a CB else they could look to cover being provided by Fabinho or the pick of the youngsters (seemingly Billy Koumetio and Sepp van den Berg) as required - on the assumption they can move Nat Phillips on.}

21 Sep 2020 10:43:41
Thanks Ed’s hopefully one of the kids gets brought through it’s a lot to ask of fab to cover for an extended period of time in an unnatural position for him, although he was outstanding against Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool's original interest in him, the year before he arrived, was as a RB where he started out. He played latterly as a DM but it is never a great idea to play folks out of their best position.}

21 Sep 2020 15:52:48
I know it's not his preferred/ natural position, but he's great at centre half. Also the passing options from the back when Fabinho and Virgil are the back two is amazing.

Anyone that says that Fabinho can't play centre half clearly didn't watch him painfully extract Timo Werner's soul over 90 minutes. It was painful to watch, even as a Liverpool fan.
