Hi eds and all,

Anyone remember that guy from Liverpool passport office posting in summer saying he did the paperwork for Marek Hamsik passport? Now there's all these rumours about him maybe joining city. Be crazy if that guy was right.

He wont join city he is too much alike nasri and silva {Ed002's Note - Why would the Liverpool Passport Office have anything to do with Marek Hamsik's passport?}

Why would that guy be right if he signs for City ? {Ed002's Note - It is just BS. The Passport Office would have nothing to do with Marek Hamsik's passport.}

Is this the same guy that actually posted the Marek Hamsik passport trying to get some recognition and not even realising how stupid it is?

The Liverpool passport office also process work permits for the north west, that's why his paperwork may have landed on that guys desk.
{Ed002's Note - No they don't. The Border Agency are responsible for Work Permits. Remember that I have a UK work permit.}

Are you mad?

Why would he even need a work permit when Slovakia are part of the EU?

Ed, we have been linked in the press with Lucas Moura for few months now. Now, I know that Ed002 has made it clear that he won't be moving to Liverpool, certainly not this January, but just wondering if you know whether there is any truth in the rumour that we had actually bid around 9 mil for him in the summer?

GreenMeanMachine {Ed002's Note - I don't believe a bid of £9M was made in the summer. Clubs enquiring in the summer were quoted $130M. Obviously he will be sold for much, much less eventually.}

How much we looking at for him, he is a raw talent and something we need. {Ed002's Note - He won't be moving to Liverpool this winter.}

Agreed with ed002. The price quoted by the club has scared off many clubs over the last year. The links that we have are due to brazilian internet media starting the story last year. I am yet to come across any sources who can verify the link.

avid reader of the site...ed you say Liverpool will only buy to replace departing players (or injured players), in your opinion who do you think might leave in January and who are their possible replacements? Great Site
#Born A Red {Ed002's Note - I also said to replace any short comings. We know the club have looked at players such as Luuk De Jong and Kagawa. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look at Ocampos on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive. It is not possible right now to nail anything too much.}

How much is too expensive because he is very very talented, will play for barca or real madrid one day.

Eds - With Pedro out, Isaac Cuenca Lopez made a first team start for Barca and some are saying he is just as good or better than Pedro already. So if this is the case, do you see Pedro being surplus? And could LFC have a shot at getting him maybe in the summer?
Great site! Thanks. {Ed001's Note - because someone else made one, yes 1, first team start? Seriously?}

Sorry this was actually his 4th start for the first team and he has been impressive in all of them. That is why I asked.

But 5 apps with 1 goal

hi eds,
do you think aqualani will stay at liverpool after his loan spell, or go somewere else? tnx

{Ed002's Note - He will leave.}

Hopefully leave get someone like kagawa or sissoko from toulouse to replace him

Also, dear Eds, forgot to ask one more Q. Do you think there is any interest in Marvin Martin ( or any other DM for that matter )? We seem a bit dry on that front, with only Lucas and Spearing viable options. {Ed002's Note - Dortmund, Lille, Lorient and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but Valencia and Arsenal have been most serious in the pursuit of the Socheaux player. I suspect a move in the summer is much more likely than a move in January.}

Do you think that liverpool will look at Milan Krasic as an option now he ispblically looking for another club eds?

READINGRED {Ed002's Note - I guess Liverpool may consider it but I rather doubt it. Juventus will be open to good offers for Krasic at some point but it is unclear if the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Malaga and Roma are still interested in a player who has not taken well to sitting on the sidelines. The player has declared his interest in Manchester United and it is not out of the question that they may be interested in Krasic. Juventus may value the player out of the winter window though. There is at least one person at Chelsea who very much likes the player and may wish to revisit earlier interest.}

Hi eds,
which player is more likely to sign in jan (and if), montolivo or kagawa? {Ed002's Note - I doubt either will.}

21 Nov 2011 18:28:20
Hello Eds,
the Colloccini rumours have been doing the rounds for over a month now. Do you believe they are true? Seems a bit old for FSG's policy. {Ed002's Note - Seems unlikely to me unless someone is leaving.}

21 Nov 2011 18:19:05
Hi eds do you know whether maxi will stay at liverpool after his good display and goal against chelsea? {Ed002's Note - I suspect he may move on in the summer.}

21 Nov 2011 18:16:28
Liverpool are said to be keen on Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer and are reportedly preparing an offer in the New Year.

PSV Eindhoven playmaker Kevin Strootman is being targeted for transfer by Liverpool, according to the People.

Hi eds,
which player is more likely to sign in jan (and if), montolivo or kagawa? {Ed002's Note - Neither are likely but there has been interest in Kagawa. If Montolivo moves it may well be to Milan.}

I concur with ed002 montolivo will be moving to milan in the summer on a free.

Kagawa will not leave in winter window but may well reconsider in summer

Ed do you see any chance of lavezzi signing in jan if napoli go out the champions league? {Ed002's Note - No, I don't think so. Liverpool's interest in Lavezzi pre-dates the last January window. He has an agent in Frederic Guerra who does a really good job of talking up his players without being pushy; and a fabulous technique where he denies interest in his players from major clubs thereby attracting attention to them. It is also likley that he will stay at Napoli - although there is potentially interest from several clubs including Manchester City (who need a replacement for Tevez), Zenit and Inter.}

Ed I thought aguero was tevezs replacement I sore a while back that ed001 said he was?

KopEndDannyLFC {Ed002's Note - Since Aguero was bought the situation with Tevez has changed considerably. With Tevez probably moving in January, Manchester City are looking for a vesatile right sided forward and see Lavezzi as the answer.}

I do know though that De Laurentis has a ridiculous evaluation of Lavezzi and is looking for £35 million plus, probably because he knows city are interested in him. Funny part is, he really believes he will get it.

Hey eds was just wandering if gaston ramirez is still or was a target. He looks really good and he might be encouraged by coates and suarez. Jusy wanted to know your views cheers :) {Ed002's Note - As for Gaston Ramirez, I am not as convinced as everyone else that there is real interest from Liverpool but I am sure he has been watched by the club. I suspect he will not be available until the summer and a move to Palermo or Juventus is perhaps more likely - although unsubstantiated rumours suggest Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested.}

Hes not good enough and not the player we need and should be looking at, he will cost in excess of £18m so add an extra £7m makes £25m which could get the likes of Kagawa, Goetze, Ericksson, Ganso, Lucas etc, all better players and most importantly all creative players with imagination so takes a load of suarez..

Hi ed,

I have a friend who says raul (formerly of Madrid) is a relative of his and that a number of years ago when rafa was in charge, Liverpool had a deal agreed with Madrid to bring raul to anfield. Is this true or is he talking rubbish?

A red {Ed001's Note - I am not 100% sure about it, I was told a deal was done, but, as he never joined, I am not sure if it was just a fantasy or not.}

Probably another deal h***ed up by parry

My friend claims that Raul was swayed at the last minute by the Real president at the time dueto fan pressure to keep him at the bernabeau.

The same friend that told me this says that since that collapsed transfer Raul has requested a transfer to liverpool on 2 further occasions, the last being right before he moved to germany, liverpool weren't interested however.

Any truth to this? He has a photo of him playing footy with Raul in a park somewhere in spain so seems true, could be photoshopped though.

A red

I remember during february of 05 raul was in a car with xabi alonso exiting melwood. I actually have photos of this. Whether or not it was just visiting im not sure because he was still putting the goals away at that stage.

Hi ed,

just curious what happened to the welliton rumour? Were we ever interested? Seems to have died down now

rewflo {Ed002's Note - I don't know of interest from Liverpool, sorry.}

That rumour was given the boot.

Perhaps I got confused, I thought we had been linked with a brazilian plying his trade in russia last year. Are there any others?

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - There are many Brazilian's playing in Russia.}

Hope, we are looking at eduardo Vargas of Universdad de chile as a striker. This guy seems to be a great striker. Ed, have you heard anything about him. It seems that, he is of interest to many european clubs. Thanks alot. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest.}

21 Nov 2011 13:16:53
ed do you think there is a chance that we can get Seydou Doumbia in Jan, ino u say he is good at talking himself up, but 1. is he actually any good and 2. how much. thanks. BigD {Ed002's Note - He is doing well in a league which is not as good as the EPL. He is available at the right price which will be more than £25M but Liverpool have not shown any interest in the player so I would say it is unlikely at this time.}

Ok thanks ed, ino some eds say we are very intrested in De Jong and he is a real possibilty of arriving come jan, but do u not think we need a playmaker instead, as carroll will defiantly come good, remember crouch when he 1st joined, not much difference, if he didnt cost £35m no one would be slating him as thay currently are. BigD {Ed002's Note - I suspect that the summer transfer window will be more important to the club than January as qualification for the champions league will offer up more opportunities to buy players. I would not get too carried away about January just yet.}

But he did cost 35 million, if it had been less then expections would have been less but the price we paid for him why should we not expect a lot more from andy Carroll. I know people keep saying he has potential but I don't think you should be 35 million for potential. The fact is andy Carroll is good enough for Liverpool and will never be unfortunately,hope I am proved wrong though

21 Nov 2011 11:31:24
I have been told we are looking at Kevin Strootman any truth eds.

Redraj {Ed002's Note - There is a suggestion that he was watched in a recent international. There has been no confirmation of interest but there is much interest in the player from elsewhere so it is certainly possible.}

Hi Eds and fellow fans, Does anybody know if the rumours of Torres and Miereles getting caught boarding the Liverpool team bus are true? Or just some person on Tw*tter make it up?

Cheers

Col {Ed001's Note - I am told it was a joke, though I just realised I never thought to ask whether they tried to board as a joke or someone posted it as a joke. I just assumed that it was posted as a gag.}

C'mon you can't be serious as if it was ever a rumour for gods sake!

Benzo

I think that was back in January

Damien Comolli and Kenny Dalglish have received their wish from owner John Henry, in gaining necessary transfer funds to sign THREE players in January. Henry has been persuaded to splash the cash, as all three targets are under the age of 25. As relations have improved with Dutch side Ajax, Comolli is launching a £40m double bid for Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen, PLUS the services of Dirk Kuyt. Dalglish and Comolli are so eager to tie up this deal, they are willing to pay the total fee up front.

ALSO, as interest in Marco Reus heats up before the summer, and that he has a buyout clause in his contract of approximately £15m set to begin at June 1 2012. It is Dalglish's motive, however, to attempt to sign the German in January, for £20m, blowing the rest of the market right out of the field.

Should all three sign for the Merseyside club in January, it would show the country the ambition of Liverpool, and their willingness to pay for players to compete at the highest level.

We can put 100 mill bid for eriksen in it won't change the fact he has no interest in playing for us.

Stop the eriksen rumours.

Brilliant!! just what we need, GREAT JOB DC AND KD!

What is your source?

Some how i doubt it. But i would love this to happen 3 quality players

Erikson does not want to join us, same as hazard.
Like i said before we should go for the brazillian trio of:
Coutinho - Bargain
Lucas Moura - 20 +
Damiao - 20 million
Thats 2 CAM 1 CF

The brothers DE JONG

Eds, have you heard sommething about it? {Ed002's Note - It is just fantasy.}

Erikson & hazard will not sign, & nor will damiao if damiao comes to the uk he'll sign for spurs!

Don't we wish

I very much doubt it on what I've heard. NESV are opportunists. They bought the club for nowt, so they're hanging on til some DIC type buyers come along.
Maybe they'd buy some stars if it means loading debt back onto the club as a "justification" to the fans for "doing a Glazer".

Liverpool going to sell Kuyt in Jan to LA Galaxy

We well might sell KUYT in Jan but to a real team in a real league!!

Even if we were going to sell kuyt, he can't go to la galaxy because they have already used the wage cap on Keane, Beckam and Donavon and none of those three are leaving in jan

Beckhams contract is up.

dmedly

I think you'll find Beckham is leaving in November

Heard we might be after dyer from swansea? I think he would be a good signing and cheap one to. I now what people are gonna say, his not lfc standard which ill have to disagree on. I thought he was brilliant against us and he has been all season. He has great pace and brilliant ability to get past people. He would only get better playing for a stronger team like us. What u think eds?

Gezza1982 {Ed002's Note - I would be surprised if it happened and it is no more than speculation at present; but I guess there is a chance that Liverpool could move for him.}

What a rubbish signing he would be i would rather have routledge

21 Nov 2011 06:10:32
hey ed, both villa as a jan target and torres resigning- too far fetched? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Just one of them signing is too far fetched.

Hi eds, just wondering is it just me or is kuyt slowing the team down, and needs to go? He seems off the pace and always missing oppurtunities as well as giving possession away cheaply? Do you think we would accept an offer for him in jan? {Ed001's Note - we would accept an offer for him, yes. Not so sure he is as bad as you suggest though.}

It is correct that he does slow us down and gives the ball away too cheply too often through his poor passing ability which he does not seem to have when playing for Holland, funny enough. But his industry makes up for that every time.
Yes, he might be allowed to move on come jan.

BooDaBooze

@BooDaBooze....But working hard doesn't win you games, its nice to see, but not what Liverpool need right now
Kabir (above post was mine)

Kuyt is one of our most assured performers, mate. Selling would be big mistake. He stopped Ashley Cole all match....he is one of our best.

I was at the Bridge yesterday and Kuyt was excellent, tireless in his effort. I would not let him go yet unless there was an exceptional talent brought in who could play week in week out immediately.

I should also say that the whole team played well yesteday with special mention to the defence and Lucas/Adam. Well done to them and the away supporters who lit up Stanford Bridge.

As a footballer he has never been good enough, as a person he`s obviously a top bloke. Unfortunately we have moved on for him and we need more than somebody working hard, we need that and some footballing quality to improve us. Thanks Dirk but it`s time to move on.
Matt b

Strange how Liverpool's better performances coincide with Kuyt playing. He scores goals, lays them on and protects the defence better than any other player on our books and is always available for a pass when we attack. Never hides, never shirks, never gives less than 100%.
Neither is it coincidence that since Kenny stopped selecting him recently we have stuttered.
Other teams are willing to pay big bucks for a 30 year old because they know he's quality.
If he does go, I just hope we have some one in line to replace him who can read the game as well as he can. There is no one in the current squad capable of doing his job.

I agree with the post I think he stops us playing always gives the ball and has a touch that leads to a tackle.

The way I look at it is good players work hard but great players make it look easy
