Hi all just listening to Irish sports radio station and they are saying that looks like BRs position is safe and it's the committee that's getting sacked.
Did something come out of the club this evening or are these guys guessing.

'Irish Sports Radio' like the stations over here would know that.

Maybe just some more media friendly PR for Brendan. He is Irish after all.

Brendan is a genius when it comes to the media I'll give him that. He always deflects from what is the real problem. His useless tactics.

23 May 2015 03:48:47
I'm sure BR would love to retain his job. That's his forte, he screws up everyone else gets blamed. If club does well its because he's a tactical genius. That's how it has been.

Hi Eds, I check the search engine but nothing really on this for a while. Does anyone hold any interest in Kevin Volland and do you feel he would be a good suit for Liverpool?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - last I heard there was no interest from us and I am not sure he is what we need anyway.}

21 May 2015 13:16:35
Coates has had a run of excellent performances along with Sunderland's improved solidity of late. Personally, I'd love to see him given the chance to succeed Skerts in the team instead of pointlessly keeping Toure and his fat salary for another year, but I know it's unlikely to happen.
Any idea if Coates is open to making the Sunderland switch permanent now they're staying up Eds? Seems he's finally found a home and manager that likes him.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - yes he is open to a permanent move.}

21 May 2015 15:07:32
@RedKev, a good game last night and a few matches recently and you think he could cut it now at Liverpool? Sorry Kev but he looks miles off good enough.

He is a way too slow and he is a bumbling mess on the ball. I hope he cuts it at Sunderland and earns himself a deal either there or at another club at that level.

Remember he has been on the bench most of the season watching John O'Shea and Wes Brown competing to see who can deteriorate at a quicker rate. Even Verghini has been given some games in CB and he looks an awful player.

The problem we have as I think the eds will agree is we have some great individuals (and o don't mean 40mil individuals) but a lot of players who will all do fansttic os certain systems, but unfortunately we don't have a solid system to fill them in! Like coates has played well in a low block defensive unit, I don't imagine he would thrive in a high press/high defensive line! Same as we have 3 number 10'z in sterling, lallana, coutinho and we don't even play 4231 were on could do well in the hole! We have marko/ibe who are right footed right wingers and wd have noone in the box for them! It goes on and on! The recruitment our targeting good young players but don't seem to be bringing them in to fit a system! Like for example say drogha 20 and Torres 20 were both interested in is bit we could only choose one, they would go with the frog. Even though we have a manager who doesn't like playing with that type of striker! Its not about quality but more about who there selecting!

What Austin said

Lol AZ, and Austin imo playing Coates in a high defensive line is asking for trouble

He takes half an hour to turn round.

I asked a Sunderland supporter how he's been doing and he said he's done alright but he's nothing special. Not good enough for us anyway.

Who's shown interest in Kondogbia please Eds? Likely destination?
Thanks!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Kondogbia has had varying fortunes since moving to Monaco and whilst they were willing to let him move on both in the summer and, if the price was right in January, the only interested clubs have immediately back down for financial reasons. Monaco has FFP problems which are a little worse than those of Liverpool. They will certainly be looking to sell players this summer. Manchester City have a firm interest in Kondogbia as a possible replacement for Yaya Toure. Chelsea and Arsenal may well rekindle their interest in Kondogbia - but both will look to other players first.}

21 May 2015 12:11:09
No interest from liverpool?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest from Liverpool in Kondogbia.}

21 May 2015 18:36:35
shame, i think he's exactly what we are missing. I hope we are at least looking at another defensive midfielder.

21 May 2015 22:46:54
Agree, Kongdogbia or Illara would be exactly what we need (apart from strikers of course)

hey edds first post on here for a while , i have searched for any info on this but can not find it on here .

its the ffp new rules getting relaxed by plattini,does this mean we are going to get the oil tycoons spending big again or is it not as drastic as that?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Right now UEFA are trying to deflect a legal challenge and are looking to relax the investment that can be made – but are still aware that they need to deal with other issues, most notably the capping of television income and sponsorship. UEFA has spoken to a number of clubs but have generally not found them supportive – all three English sides spoken to are against the plans to relax the investment cap. However, UEFA has now turned to the association of European clubs and they are keen to have some input. They are traditionally ignored but they have been actively discussing this issue with UEFA. However, they are excluded from the discussions that UEFA and specific clubs have with each other – and it is that forum that will eventually settle on the more critical television revenue and commercial sponsorship caps. There will regardless be a relaxation this summer, but it may not be sustained without ratification – and that won’t happen anytime soon. None of this will be good for the English sides. The worry UEFA has is that the two potentially largest beneficiaries both play in the French league and they may be accused of favouritism.}

21 May 2015 12:28:27
it sounds very complex ,i did think the ffp rules were a good idea but like most rules it can be manipulated,will this have any impact on fsg ?

they bought the club as a investment and were always going to sell and the ffp rules suited them,could they be looking to sell a lot quicker then intended ?

cheers for reply in advance.

franky

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't agree with FFP - and certainly not the way it is implemented. Liverpool are one of the clubs that were investigated for their breaches of FFP and they are continuing to be monitored. The clubs who have been banned from UEFA competition have generally been put in that position by being late with payments for players - and these are generally less well off sides who are suffering at the hands of FFP. Two of the clubs with sanctions right now are "new money" clubs but the penalties are extreme. Another club managed to lessen their penalty (I don't want to go in to how they did that) but generally the rules have not been abused. There are plenty of sanctioned clubs - it just doesn't get much of an airing in the UK. As for an impact on Liverpool and FSG, the question needs to be have they got the stomach to keep throwing money at this project?}

cheers for the input.

question for ED001. youve stated that milner is virtually done and konoplyanka is of interest again. Has there been any further developments of the 2?

thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - when did I say that? Are you sure you are not getting mixed up with what Macca said?}

21 May 2015 09:25:40
Apologies it was macca. Have you heard any updates on these 2

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Milner has an offer on the table from City and is considering it, but it is likely he will look around before committing to anything. He is certainly not a done or nearly done deal yet.

Konoplyanka has an agent that is desperately trying to get him a move to Liverpool, but the interest is coming from West Ham and Spurs right now.}

pleasant change to hear a good player is desperate to join us, after all the bad news of late!

How often to we go for decent players who'd love to play for us? Turan springs to mind as someone quality and constantly ignored.

Hi guys great site check each day for the latest gos. Saw on the Arsenal page that ed001 believes nothing has happened with regards to sterling and Arsenal, yet. He/she also stated that a lot could happen over next few weeks at lfc which could change things. Takeover was mentioned, along with potential brendan leaving. Eds has a takeover been looked at? If so who would be potential new owners???

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - I never mentioned anything about a takeover.}

21 May 2015 08:42:06
Who on earth would buy us in this state?!?

21 May 2015 09:11:11
He or She? Ed001 have you been cross dressing again? I don't think you will get away with it in Dubai!!

{Ed001's Note - only on special occasions mate, it is liberating, you should try it.....}

21 May 2015 10:49:20
Ahaha, I swear some people seem to think the Eds are clairvoyant or omnipotent, or perhaps just magicians. Even if there was some future takeover being talked about in closed boardrooms, you can't just ask questions like that. Ehh, can I also have a list of which companies will do well on the stock-exchange next month please Ed? You, me and the Wolf of Wall Street are going to be stinking rich! ;)

Morning Eds

Have Utd expressed an interest in Sterling now?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes they did.}

21 May 2015 09:16:28
Take it they were told not happening?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yep.}

21 May 2015 11:00:21
Hilarious! Why did they even bother?
It'll be Man City or abroad. My money is on Man City since they need players who have been grown at home.

When is time FSG is going to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH". the club is being mocked left right and center from the tabloids, clubs, rival fans, etc. I don't really blame Sterling because he knows that the team won't do much next season anyway if the players they got, why waste time with them. He knows LFC won't get any top class players since the manager isn't good enough to attract them. We just keep losing players and targets (I can't keep track already) and it seems FSG isn't interested in sacking BR. Give 110m to Ancelloti or Klopp, I am sure they could have done much much better than BR. How can you let BR off the hook when he didn't meet a single target set at the beginning of the season? What are the people in FSG smoking?
